## Summary

The creator behind a content business shares a vulnerable behind-the-scenes look at why she is completely rebuilding her business. She reveals that revenue dropped 50%, funnels were converting below 1%, and the company operated at a loss for the first time. She outlines her strengths, weaknesses, new CEO mindset, and a detailed seven-figure revenue plan.

### Key Points

- **Rebuilding the Entire Business** [00:02] — She is rebuilding her business, not the content. The change affects internal operations, focus, and systems, driven by three factors: being a mom, the current era, and new goals.
- **The Wake-Up Call: Shift from Creator to CEO** [01:42] — Maternity leave gave clarity. She realized she needed to stop working in her business and start working on it—looking at numbers, becoming a better leader, and setting a vision.
- **Funnels Converting Under 1%** [03:21] — All funnels were converting at under 1%, some at 0%, while the average target is 5%. This was a red flag because it wasn't a traffic problem—leads were consistent but conversions vanished.
- **Books That Shifted Her Mindset** [04:18] — Reading 'The Science of Scaling' and '100 Million Dollar Offer' helped her adopt a CEO mindset. She audited offers, funnels, and landing pages, discovering over 20 different offers.
- **2025 Income Drop and Net Loss** [05:41] — Tax team recap showed 2025 income looked like 2022's—32% less than 2024. Factoring in expenses, the business operated at a net loss for the first time.
- **Strengths: Content, Lead Gen, and Satisfaction** [08:06] — Despite maternity leave, grew 140k YouTube subscribers, 60k Instagram followers, and 40k TikTok followers. Refund rate is under 1%, and brand collabs brought in six figures.
- **Weaknesses: Overcomplication and Systems** [09:14] — Weaknesses include 20+ offers, lack of confidence in selling her main offer, chaotic systems running on Slack, and her being the bottleneck—everything relies on her.
- **No Clear Vision After Hitting Milestones** [11:10] — After hitting 100k subscribers and six figures, she stopped setting goals. The team was just completing tasks without working toward one clear goal, leading to stagnation.
- **Joining a Coaching Group** [15:15] — She officially joined a 12-month coaching group focused on business structure and leadership to get help and be surrounded by people ahead of her.
- **Goals: $1M Revenue and More** [16:54] — Goals include hitting over $1M revenue by December 31st, helping 100 students replace their 9-5 income, setting up one income stream not reliant on posting or her face, and restructuring internal systems.
- **Seven-Figure Revenue Math** [21:11] — With BSB priced at $1,597, she needs about 625 sales (~12,000 leads) to hit $1M. That's roughly 1,000 leads per month or 35 per day.
- **One Video Can Generate 500 Leads** [23:36] — A single YouTube video can generate over 500 leads in a month, so she only needs two solid videos per month to hit 1,000 leads—not daily posting across platforms.
- **Focus on Funnel Conversion** [24:18] — The main goal is raising funnel conversion from 0.5% to 5% by clearing messaging, simplifying steps, and clarifying positioning, offers, and guarantees.
- **Final Belief: Leverage Over Hustle** [26:01] — If she generates 1,042 qualified leads per month and fixes funnel conversions, a seven-figure year becomes inevitable without daily posting or burnout.

### Conclusion

The video is a candid, numbers-driven look at why a successful creator business must evolve. By shifting from a content creator to a CEO, simplifying offers, and focusing on systems and conversion, she believes a seven-figure year is achievable without hustle or burnout.

## Transcript

be filming 6 months ago, but I feel like I've always been open about what's actually happening behind the scenes of my business, and I want to continue to do so. So, I think this video might be my most vulnerable yet. And while this
isn't a typical step-by-step educational video, I still think it's important for me to share what I'm going through as a content creator and business owner because if you're a content creator who wants to scale your
business a similar way, then this video will be extremely relevant to you whether now or sometime in the future. So, yes, I have decided to rebuild my entire business. This is not clickbait. For clarification,
the content I'm posting, that's not changing. It's more so my business and how it operates internally, what my focus is going to be on, all the behind-the-scenes stuff will be changing pretty
drastically. I feel like it's obvious now more than ever that the systems that got me here are just no longer working for the season of life that I'm in, now being a mom, the year and the era that we're in, and also where I want to go
with my business and the new goals that I have. So, because of these three I have. So, because of these three things, I have to completely rebuild. So, in this video, I want to share with you what I noticed, the things that
signaled to me that things were off, why I want to make changes in order to I want to make changes in order to scale, what systems weren't working or what became outdated, and what I plan on changing. So, let's dive in. Let's start
with the wake-up call, everything that pointed to my business needing to change. This all started last year while I was on maternity leave. It was so great to take a step away. I feel like it helped me get clear on what I want my
new vision and goals to be. It made me realize that in order to get there, I needed to stop working in my business and finally work on my business. I needed to shift my identity from content creator to business owner or CEO. And
basically, what that meant to me was actually looking more at business numbers, you know, important things like income and expenses, learning to be a income and expenses, learning to be a better leader for my team and get clear
on the vision for my business instead of just thinking, "Oh, what's going to be the next video?" So, when I went back to work from maternity leave, I did just that. I started just by looking at the P&L from the past few months or the
profit and loss statements. And what I discovered was that revenue or business discovered was that revenue or business revenue was down about 50% compared to first realization that I had, by the way. There's more that I'm about to
progressively kept getting worse, but at first, this is the first realization, business revenue is down 50% compared to the year before. At first, I had mostly associated that with being on maternity leave cuz I was just comparing the past
few months, but I still wanted to look into it further and not just assume. So, I looked further into it, did dig some more digging, and I noticed that all the funnels that my team and I had set up and created over the past few years were
and created over the past few years were converting at under 1%. Some even like at a 0%. What this means, kind of simplifying what this means, we had different funnels set up for my business where if somebody joins a freebie,
they're entered into like a email sequence or automation where eventually they're up-sold to a mid-size product or a small, mid-size, and then finally the largest product. And that conversion rate of getting people to buy, if 100
people joined, we're getting 0% conversion. Nobody was purchasing and on average, you want to be shooting for like a 5% conversion rate. So, this was like a big red flag for me that something was broken or wrong because it
wasn't a traffic problem. We were getting consistent leads and my team was posting for me while I was gone. The opportunity to convert a lead to a customer was just like vanishing and disappearing. Around this time, I was
reading two books that started to help me a lot get into more like business owner CEO mindset and that was the science of scaling by Benjamin Hardy and Blake Erickson. I also read 100 million dollar offer by Alex Hermosi. So, first
task with this specific realization was to redo, kind of re-analyze and audit everything. My offers, like digital products, freebies, courses, the email
funnels themselves, the landing pages, just full audit of all the funnels. I realized it was at this time where I realized I it was at this time where I realized I had over 20 different offers and I think
we were just overcomplicating things. So, first thing we started doing was simplifying the customer journey. Instead of 20 to 30 different opt-in points, we were getting we decided to retire a bunch of ish and only make five
retire a bunch of ish and only make five core funnels and instead of having like 10 different courses that I sold individually, what if we just had one course? That was it. Or not even one course, it's the BSB model. It's the Ivy
League for content creators. So, instead of overcomplicating getting giving okay, how do we create like an in and out style menu? And also, we updated the verbiage and the packaging of our main offer, the BSB model. So, that's where
the ball had been rolling since I came back. But, the real wake-up call happened a few weeks ago when we sat down with our tax team and did a recap down with our tax team and did a recap of 2025. Looking at income, profit,
expenses, things like that. My 2025 income looked more like 2022's income. income looked more like 2022's income. Which meant I had made 32% less in 2025 than I did in 2024. And this is the first time my business income has ever
went backwards instead of forwards, ever. Now, some things to note. I know the overall income would be lower considering I was on maternity leave from March through July. We also closed doors completely to
offers in December. We didn't accept any sales. And we didn't do any launches last year, which would typically bring in an extra six figures. But, then we get to the next realization. When we factored in expenses, the business was
operating at a loss, meaning our net income was negative. And again, that was a first for my business. This meant we were paying or I was spending more than
what I was making. So, it was really a moment for me where I had to stop blaming, oh timing or maternity leave or whatever the heck I was blaming and actually ask myself a harder question. Is the business itself working? I
already knew 2026 is going to be a year of restructuring. I was very excited to of restructuring. I was very excited to switch from content creator to CEO, but it wasn't until seeing those numbers that I knew something serious needed to
change or some serious changes needing to needed to be made, not just with the business, but with me. So, instead of seeing these numbers and just calling it quits and saying, oh no, my business is failing, I want to lean in. I want to
evolve. I want to figure this out because I know if I do, then I know when other people reach this point and other creators get this point where they've like hit a ceiling of scaling. If I can solve this and figure this out, then
I'll be able to help others, too. So, let's figure out what was actually broken and what wasn't. I feel like with our strengths, we crushed social media and content. Who would have guessed that's what I teach, social media and
content. Even with my maternity leave and being gone, last year we grew over 140,000 subscribers on YouTube, 60,000 followers on Instagram, and 40,000 followers on TikTok. We're really great with lead generation, like getting
creating freebies that we know our audience wants, and getting them to opt in to them and being interested in them. We're really good at customer satisfaction. Our refund rate is under 1%, so we get amazing results for our
students who do join, and they love the programs when they are joining them. The business is also great at brand collaborations. Last year, even with me collaborations. Last year, even with me being out, brand collabs, that income
alone was over six figures. My team was great at maintaining that creator hamster wheel effect. Everyone knew their role, everyone knew the tasks they
needed to get done in order for me to churn out content and just post consistently and grow on social media. Our weaknesses, overcomplication. I also think a weakness for me was confidence in the
main offer I created, the BSP model. This is something I'm still working on, and it's not even How do I explain it? It's more so I get nervous like trying to sell it or like talking about it in organic content. That's That's the
hesitation. I am stoked about the BSP model, what I created. I know nothing else exists like it ever. I know it's created amazing results for students. going through it. I know it can be life-changing for content creators. But
about it in content, I'm like, "So it's just like this it's just like a little course bundle. It's like kind of cool." Like that is one thing that I had to have to get over is like, "It's not a little course bundle. It is the Ivy
League for content creators taking you from A to Z." You know, so confidence, that could be worked on. Systems, weakness. My team just like operates out of everywhere and mostly Slack. Like projects are mostly just done in Slack
and we just hope people are working. Things are slipping through the cracks constantly. I feel like everything relies on me. Like I am the bottleneck of my entire business. People are always waiting on me in order for them to do
their job. Like I have to script, I film, I review posts, I review captions, footage. I'm sending the footage to YouTube descriptions, I'm getting the links for people. Like everything relies
on me. Sometimes I feel like nothing happens unless I'm touching it, fixing it, or asking for it to get done. So I haven't properly set up systems
internally for my team to be able to fully thrive without me. So that's weakness, for some time there was no clear vision last year. Not even just last year, but the past I'd say 2 years, there was no like end goal or vision. It
was just what's the next video? What's the next video? Let's update a product. What's the next video? I may have talked about this before, but I'm currently living my dream. Anything else is a cherry on top. It's a blessing. And so
cherry on top. It's a blessing. And so for me when I hit like even 100,000 followers or subscribers on YouTube and hit six figures running a business, that was the big goal. After I hit that, I didn't set any other goals. So, there
was nothing challenging me to change anything to go further. I was just like, "Oh, cool. Yay, we made it." And then I lost sight of moving forward. Because I stopped moving forward, the rest of the economy was catching up to me. You know
what I mean? Instead of moving the business forward, we were just reacting to different tasks day-to-day. We were just putting out fires, posting to post, checking boxes. The team wasn't working
towards one clear goal. They all just had tasks to complete, and that was it. So, getting more clear on a vision, which I have I now have and can communicate to my team, that is going to help everybody work together instead of
at their own pace. Decision-making or protecting my time has been a or protecting my time has been a weakness. I'm a people-pleaser, and I really need to not be, but I think being like raised in church has made me
a people-pleaser. That's a story for another time. But, I will say yes to no. If somebody's like, "Hey, do you want to hop on a meeting?" or "Can I pick your brain for blah blah blah?" I would feel bad for saying no. I wouldn't
want them to think, "Oh, she thinks she's better than da da da." So, I'll hop on a call. Yeah, I'll go get coffee with you. Yeah, I'll do this. I'll help you with this." And so, all extra time was just like doing things that actually
weren't helping the business. It was just saying yes so I could appease other people's potential perspectives of me. When examining my strengths and When examining my strengths and weaknesses, my strength is running a
content creator business. This is our tax stuff. As you I'm sure you can see little red dots, those were negative numbers. But, this is all of my business numbers. But, this is all of my business and income or info from 2021 to 2025.
and income or info from 2021 to 2025. And every year that I was just working on being a content creator was a great year. I was doing the dang thing. I was running a creator business. But, as soon as I was like, "Okay, let me scale."
That's where my weaknesses showed. Once I decided I wanted to be hands-off, business, you're doing you're creating the content. You're kind of like content to film, and that was fun. That was what I wanted. But, once I wanted to
be hands-off, where I took a step away and tried to let the business operate without me, I feel like that's when I noticed things started falling apart or where I noticed certain internal processes were maybe put together with
duct tape and glue, you know? And the pain point of certain problems were never fully resolved. We just kind of like band-aided it over. So, it's my weakness is more like, how do I scale a business to seven figures and beyond? I
don't think my lack of business growth the past year was a discipline problem. I work hard, you know? I batched four months of content being in my third months of content being in my third trimester of pregnancy. I work hard. I
was hustling. I think it's more of a systems and a focus problem. Systems because whatever it took to hit the six-figure business, same systems to take it to a seven or eight-figure business. And I have to
eight-figure business. And I have to admit, I don't know yet exactly how to grow a hands-off style content creator business that could run using my face, figuring that out. And then, of course, the focus problem because we didn't have
felt like weeks and weeks were disappearing where I would get to Friday and I would be like, "Nothing got done." Nothing meaningful moved forward. What the heck happened to my whole week? And that's not what I want my business to
feel like anymore. I'm exhausted. I feel like I'm just barely hanging on by a thread, on the brink of burnout. I don't want to feel like that anymore. I want my business to operate differently, especially now having a family, having a
baby. So, two options: pretend I have all the answers or ask for help. Obviously, I'm going to go with the ask for help side. So, I kind of did like a throw spaghetti at the wall method, where I just reached out and put my
feelers out many different places to see what would stick. And I ended up choosing an option that was the one that had the less amount of friction, or the least amount of friction. So, I have officially joined a 12-month coaching
group that's focused on business structure and leadership. The last time I had a coach, I think was in 2021 or 2022. And I do think it's about time
that I have a coach again. Anytime I worked with a coach, I saw tremendous amount of growth with my business. So, I'm actually very excited to be doing a kind of coaching program again, whether group coaching or one-on-one. I'm just
stoked to be in a room with other people that are working towards my same goals and also surrounded by people who are beyond me in their business and experience. So, what do I plan on changing? Well, before we talk about
what I plan on changing, I think we need to know where I'm going, so my goals. I to know where I'm going, so my goals. I usually post a goal video where I share my goals, and this year I didn't because for some reason, I feel like my goals
feel very vulnerable this year, very personal. Like, I'm almost embarrassed to share them because I'm like, "Yeah, right. How could that ever happen?" Or think of these goals?" I don't know, but for some reason sharing these goals feel
funny for me. Not all of them, but some of them are nerve-wracking to say out loud. So, obviously, the first one is to hit over a million dollars in revenue by hit over a million dollars in revenue by December 31st. I want to help over 100
students replace their 9-5 income with content creation by December 31st. I also want to set up one income stream that doesn't rely on how often I post or
my face by December 31st. Still got to figure out what that's going to be. And, of course, restructure internal systems, business, the team this year. So, that's business, the team this year. So, that's like one-year goal. Long long-term, this
is where things I feel nervous, but I want to somehow establish myself as like want to somehow establish myself as like a Gary V, a Codie Sanchez, Steven
Bartlett, Alex or Leila Hormozi, like a lot of those influential people. Position myself as that, but for content creators specifically.
I feel like there are a lot of business educators for like small businesses. Even Codie Sanchez, she focuses on like Even Codie Sanchez, she focuses on like the unsexy businesses. And so, there's a
lot of education for businesses or entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurs could be like real estate agents or hair salon owners. And that's great, but I feel like there's a gap and not really somebody who teaches like for content
creators personal brand specifically realm, unless I'm just like blind and realm, unless I'm just like blind and haven't heard of somebody, but the next goal. I don't want to say the end, but it's like the next goal. And in
end, but it's like the next goal. And in order to be there, I need to continue I need this year to learn and to learn business and to learn more about systems, team structure, leadership mindset. So, to
get there and to even just do this first year of hitting goals, my identity has to change. My standards have to change. My business has to change. With my identity or like my standards or beliefs that I set for myself, some new
standards that I have to live by when it comes to like my work day. Step one, start the day with revenue. Focus on a task that's going to move the needle task that's going to move the needle forward, creating traction that is going
towards the right place. I would move the needle forward, but it was never the right direction. It was going somewhere else, but now that we know the end goal, going to move the needle forward towards that goal. When it comes to how my
business is going to change, we got to do funnels, systems, implement AI. And assistant that never forgets or a marketer who never gets tired, a strategist who sees patterns instantly, a systems builder who doesn't miss
details, a copywriter who sounds exactly like me. How can we create automations of tasks that the team spends 30 minutes on every day and could get it done in in 10 seconds or less. I'm tired of like writing SOPs, chasing admin tasks, or
bleeding money like I did last year. And I feel like AI can give me at least some leverage. And leverage is the only way this business is going to grow without me burning to the ground or burning out. So, I'm actually going to show you my
seven-figure business strategy for myself this year. Let me get my laptop. Let's see my seven-figure business plan, basically the one-year breakdown of how basically the one-year breakdown of how I plan to get here by December 31st. So,
I plan to get here by December 31st. So, the goal is to have all this be from the model, that's fine because I have other income streams. Like I said, brand figures. So, if the BSP model ends up being 800,000 in revenue, as long as we
break one 1 million in revenue, that's the goal. This is just that it would be cool if a million of it came from BSP. To simplify, we're going to be focusing on YouTube. And the main KPI, or key performance indicator, that we're going
performance indicator, that we're going to be tracking are leads per year. If to be tracking are leads per year. If our funnels are all converting at 5% or more, so when our funnels are converting at 5% or more, all we need is 12,500
at 5% or more, all we need is 12,500 aligned leads, and we will hit this $1 million revenue goal. So, my core operating philosophy, every day I do one thing that compounds revenue, one thing that simplifies the business, and one
thing that protects my energy. To help me make stronger decisions, these are some things that are mantras and standards that I want to live by this year. I think the biggest one that stood out to me when making this list was I
design the business around real capacity, not fantasy productivity. And that speaks a lot to like my content creator hamster wheel that I feel like I'm on all the time, where we're posting every day Monday through
Friday, creating Instagram-specific content, TikTok-specific content, YouTube-specific content. And that, I think, is fantasy productivity. I don't think, realistically, for the lifestyle that I'm currently in, that's not real.
out to the ground. And so, we design the business around real capacity. And if revenue or protect my energy, it's going to be a no. So, that stood out to me. I
have some different daily, weekly, and monthly standards to revisit, but I'm going to jump straight to the business stuff, starting with the revenue math. So, if our revenue goal is $1 million and BSP is at 1597,
that means we need about 625 sales, which again comes out to about 12,000 leads this year. If we see that at a monthly pace, we would need 1,000 leads monthly pace, we would need 1,000 leads per month or 35 leads a day. And we have
per month or 35 leads a day. And we have five different core funnels, so those leads could come from any one of those funnels. What's crazy is one YouTube funnels. What's crazy is one YouTube video can generate me over 500 leads in
a month. So, if I wanted to hit this number, 1,000 leads per month, I just need two solid YouTube videos, you know? I don't need to be posting every single day Monday through Friday across platforms. Like, it is wild to me how
much extra work I'm doing just to maintain a like 1% funnel conversion rate. If we got the funnels fixed, I would not have to be working and doing as much output as I'm doing. So, it's definitely an internal system thing. I
doesn't mean I'm only posting twice a month. I still will be posting four YouTube videos every month, but two of them we want to make sure lead to a funnel. So, the main goal is to raise the funnel conversion from 0.5 to 5%. We
need to clear the messaging, simplify steps for students, clarify positioning, offer promise, guarantees, things like that. So, really my main milestones and
like deadlines that I'd like to hit them by is to finalize the core new funnels been working on since, like I said, I came back from maternity leave. We started fixing these last year. So, I want to have those finalized by February
want to have those finalized by February 27th. I want them converting at a 5% by April 30th. I would love to implement a new ClickUp system by the end of March and at least like get the team operating just in one place. And then revenue, we
have 500,000 by middle of the year, 750,000 by mine and my husband's anniversary. And then 1 million by the end of the year. There are obviously goals, but when it comes to like that seven-figure year, this is what I
believe are is the starting point. I know each step is going to take so much work, like updating ClickUp, new systems, implementing AI, finding where much that's going to go into this. So, this is just a brief overview of all the
nitty-gritty that I'm about to get into personally. But, the final operating personally. But, the final operating belief is if we generate 1,042 qualified leads per month and fix our funnel conversions, the seven-figure year
becomes inevitable without needing daily posting, without burnout, or without chaos. And that is what I'm working towards. So, this whole creator CEO shift, this year is not about me posting more. It's about becoming a new version,
an up-level version of myself as a business owner. I don't want to be the bottleneck anymore. I don't want to lack confidence when it comes to running a confidence when it comes to running a business and making decisions as a CEO.
business and making decisions as a CEO. I want systems that allows the business to move and operate without needing my hands in everyone's business. I want to figure out how do you scale a creator business without like needing your face
and your eyes all the dang time. So, this is a new chapter for me, for my business. No more hustle, utilizing leverage, not more output or posting more, creating better systems. So, if you want to follow along as I rebuild
and restructure and reimagine what this business looks like, make sure you're subscribed. And if this video resonates with you or if you have questions or even if you want to see more content like this, can you just let me know in
the comments? I always talk myself out of posting videos like this cuz I always this type of stuff. No one cares about business and blah blah blah blah blah. But, I don't know, maybe it's helpful. Maybe you enjoy seeing videos like this.
So, let me know in the comments and thank you so much for watching. I will see you in the next one. Follow your joy. Bye.
