# 2026 Lamborghini Temerario Review + GRAND TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT

> Source: [2026 Lamborghini Temerario Review + GRAND TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT](https://youtube.com/watch?v=ViSo4UftYqw)

## Summary

The video is a comprehensive review of the 2026 Lamborghini Temerario, the successor to the Huracan. It covers the car's new hybrid V8 powertrain, its performance, handling, and the emotional impact of losing the V10 engine. The review also includes a brief announcement about the hosts joining the new Grand Tour.

### Key Points

- **Grand Tour Announcement** [00:33] — The hosts announce they will be hosting the new Grand Tour, alongside Francis Bourgeoa.
- **History of Baby Lambos** [03:22] — The Temerario is the latest in a line of 'baby Lamborghinis' that started with the Jalpa, following the Countach, Gallardo, and Huracan.
- **Extreme Power** [05:13] — The Temerario has 907 horsepower, making it the most powerful entry-level Lamborghini ever.
- **New Powertrain** [06:15] — The car uses a twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors, but loses two cylinders compared to the Huracan's V10.
- **Sound Disappointment** [08:30] — The V10 is gone, and the new V8 sounds worse, described as 'a little bit' of a letdown.
- **Unapproachable Performance** [10:53] — The car is incredibly fast, with 0-60 mph in the low 2-second range, but this makes it hard to use on public roads.
- **Handling Compromises** [12:11] — The steering lacks feel, and the car is too fast for canyon roads, but it is razor-sharp in corners.
- **Price and Value** [18:52] — The car costs $380,000, which is about $100,000 more than the Gallardo when adjusted for inflation.
- **Ideal Configuration** [22:29] — The reviewers suggest the car would be better with a naturally aspirated engine and 200 less horsepower.

Okay. What matters here is that a lot of work has gone into this, okay? A lot of elbow grease, hearts and souls. The budget's much bigger than normal. And decision from the outset, it could be quite wonderful.
>> You're still talking about the Alfa, aren't you? >> Maybe. I don't know. We are hosting the new Grand Tour, but Throttle House isn't going anywhere. and our new Grand Tour co-host, Francis
Bourgeoa. He's a proper petrol head and an absolute gem.
>> You're watching Throttle House. I'm Thomas.
But before we can unpack it, we need to briefly look to the past. Countach? Not many people have, which is actually probably why the car is still
so loved. We've been lucky enough to drive one, and honestly, drive one, and honestly, it sort of hurts.
dangerous and hot. It's genuinely a scary experience. And truthfully, it's a bit much. Which is why in 1980, Lamborghini came up with a solution. [music]
It was called the Yalpa, a smaller, slower, easier car. It had a V8 instead of a V12. It was easier to see out of and drive. It was a car that could be and drive. It was a car that could be enjoyed instead of endured.
then, Lamborghini has thought it prudent to provide a smaller, slower baby Lamborghini just in case you didn't want to go for a massage every time you drive to go for a massage every time you drive your V12 monster. The Countach got the
Yalpa. The Diablo, actually, you were on your own with that one. But the Mercielago got the Gallardo. The crazy fire spitting Gallardo. The crazy fire spitting Aventador got the Huracan. And now the
Aventador got the Huracan. And now the new insane V12 Relto new insane V12 Relto gets this. >> are you >> I'm going to drive.
>> Close it off. >> All right. >> All right. Okay. Off you go.
and it's the new baby Lambo. Except you can't [music] really call it that anymore, can you? >> Only because Lamborghini have lost their entire minds. They thought it would be a good idea to give the entry-level car 97
good idea to give the entry-level car 97 horsepower. The acceleration experience in this car is violent. It is wild. This is not the
first baby Lamborghini that can hit naugh to 60 mph somewhere in the 2 seconds range, but it feels so much quicker than any but it feels so much quicker than any Huracan I have ever driven.
The shifts themselves have been tuned to be violent. corner going faster than that because it just upsets the balance of the car. And
yes, all four wheels are driven, but those rear wheels are getting absolutely the most of it cuz this thing is a little bit scary.
There's a lot going on here. Lambo have added three electric motors, one between the engine and transmission [music] and two on the front wheels and two turbochargers. But in the process, we've lost

powerful, like unapproachably powerful, it turns these undulations in the road into bumps. [laughter] So when you're trying to put the power down, it's it's skipping over everything.
I'm just basically getting to the next undulation too quick.
it does not feel like that in the [music] corners. It really doesn't. It's absolutely razor sharp.

we thought maybe we should just live with it. So, I grabbed James and we with it. So, I grabbed James and we headed into town for some tacos.
car in the canyons? What do you think, James? there was more feedback through the steering. >> Yeah. And the performance is outrageous. You You definitely feel the Lambo thing,
which is you're inside of a carbon shell. That's the jump up. Like, if you're someone that has an AMG GT or a 911 and you're like, should I do a feel. >> Well, it's like the shape of the windows
you're sitting in the cockpit, it's all insane. everything. >> Yes. Except for the car itself. >> Algerita. >> Algerita.
>> Oh, it does so much. There's some carbon fiber on the side. There's a little bit up there. Uh the the engine cover. >> A bunch of bits go carbon fiber. don't get to call it a bunch cuz there's not that many bits. And how much does it
cost? >> It cost 78,600 US. fiber >> and altogether with the carbon wheel saves you 25 kg. It's about £50. So, you're about $3,000 a kilogram saved.
>> Worth it. Um, okay. So, >> and it's got better aerodynamics. >> Um, I don't think that any of those things are going to change. I think what things are going to change. I think what is the fundamental problem of this car?
I think they overcompensated. [music] I think they overcompensated for the fact that the V10 was gone and they made this car too powerful [music] and too fast. They tried to go nuts on the performance. This isn't a
baby Lambo, is it? This is not the baby Lambo anymore. >> And as our journey towards Tacos continued, we started to wonder, what if they'd matched its three electric motors to a naturally aspirated V8 or a V10?
Ravoto big brother. Although, [music] yeah, you'd be giving up power and Lambo probably aren't afforded the luxury of less power because when a Corvette now offers an engine in the same place with more power for half the price, well,
let's just be glad that it's not all about power numbers. Often times when talked about oral pleasure. >> Noveal oral pleasure. >> Yes, it is ours. It's ours. it and and I
think this [music] is not doing that >> and and it's so important to a >> McLaren had, you know, the same way Mercedes out of BMW and Audi had the >> Yeah. >> McLaren has the steering.
>> Ferrari has the chassis. Yes. >> And Lambo always had the engine. it. >> They Mercedes did it. >> They Mercedes did it. They've said that. >> I really want to hear it.
>> I really want to hear it. No, I not enough time. in first gear before I got to the camera car. Look. Come on. Come on. No. That
was so close, though. >> So close. First. I'm in first gear. >> So close. First. I'm in first gear. >> Come on. Where is the top of first? >> It's over 60 mph is first gear. >> That's like Ford [music] GT gearing.
That is so stupid. >> There's a lot to love about this. Like, >> Yeah. >> This has improved a lot. It's still not perfect, but it's massively improved. >> This has a $6,500 sound system, which is
>> This interior, we've been in these sport seats for ages. They're comfortable. you know what? I think that that's what's going on here is that Lamborghinis like this are mostly purchased by people who don't
necessarily are not they're not buying them for like a great driving >> but a lot of them are bought by people because they do want to show off, right?
>> And you feel really cool and special in this car. You really do. >> You aren't, but you feel really cool and special in this car. So that like mission accomplished really. >> The last twin turbo V8 supercar we drove
was the McLaren 750S. Oh, I think I'd take a McLaren 750S over >> But this is one this is a McLaren that will work. >> So >> yeah, there's not much Italian left in
>> No. >> Uh, it's it's designed by Germans. the German CEO. >> The German CEO. >> The German lead designer, >> which which makes me think if I'm going
identity crisis, >> don't want to say the C word again. >> That's what happened actually when you think about it. Sorry. What was the launch that the the the reveal you were at for that uh 190E resto mod?
>> Oh, the HWA >> HWA Evo. Yeah. And you asked, "Why did you not give it a cool, crazy, insane, naturally aspirated screaming engine instead of a turbocharged V6?" And his answer was,
>> around a track. >> Yes. >> Who cares? No one's buying a restood cuz they want to set lap times. >> It's the German curse. They just can't not think about making the best
performance car possible. >> And but all it has to do is give you a sporting feeling. >> Yes. But then again that you're paying >> Yes. But then again that you're paying $380,000 for this. The ZR1X has 1250
horsepower. >> I will admit though, the Corvette does not look like this. No. >> And what better way to admire the looks of the Tamario than doing so while feasting on Throttleous's favorite
roadtrip cuisine. M tacos. there. >> You know, I went to the reveal of this. >> I went to I dragged my wife to a Toronto reveal downtown.
>> And there was a room of about a thousand people and it was it was it was hard to >> I'm sure she was so happy to be there. >> She wasn't. [laughter] >> Listen, what do you think about this thing visually? Because
>> Yeah. >> But the original Huracan when it came >> But the original Huracan when it came out was actually quite tame. Yes. The everyone always says these things don't get they're not it's not crazy enough.
Whatever it is, give it time. There's going to be 10 different versions of it. here in Jello. >> They're going to milk it for years. >> They're going to milk it for years. Jello Gello cello jello
>> jello. >> I think the front, the profile, the 3/4. >> Is it? >> I think it could do with some paint on the back. I I like the fact that you can see the back of the rear tires.
>> No, no, no. >> And the filters on our lenses when we >> Yeah. >> is unharmed. [laughter] >> But no, I think it's I think it's a good-look car. I honestly the only issue

>> Steakhouse chic. >> Or went with the boys to see Fast and >> Instagram photo. >> I see what you're saying. >> Okay. >> You know, you mentioned earlier that the
Mercielago had the Gallardo. Yeah. >> And that the Aventador had the Huracan. >> And for me, the Aventador and the Huracan were so different. the Avent door. We said in that in the Ultimate A that it was heavy metal music and when
>> When you're not in the mood >> and when you're not in the mood, you Huracan was perfect. It was a much more livable baby Lambo. >> However, they've they've got closer than ever
because the Revoto is now much more livable than it's ever been. And this >> I know. >> With the similar setup, >> You're right. Like they used to be so spread. They're now they're almost the
same and just >> so I would, you know, price aside, >> the Revoltto is the fixed version of this for me because the Revoltto >> Yes. >> Like brilliant. Absolutely topnotch
fair enough. >> That's where I'm at. I still think this car that costs, by the way, this if you adjust for inflation, this car costs adjust for inflation, this car costs about a h 100,000 US more
out. >> Right. So the Gardo is like 280ish. >> Exactly. >> So it's more, >> right? So the whole idea of there being a baby Lamborghini, it doesn't really
>> Yeah. But I bet you >> I got this. I think that this should be, as we said, $100,000 cheaper. It should be 200 horsepower less. It should have a
be 200 horsepower less. It should have a naturally aspirated engine, right? That for me would make this a complete success as it stands right now.
>> Oh my god, it's so fast. >> These are good. >> These are good. Yeah, this is nice. Ravoto succeeds the Aventador [music] with four marks, by comparison, the
Tearario scores an A minus. Outrageously quick, agility [music] that defies its tubbiness, looks the dog's bollocks, and has an interior that matches [music] the badge, too. But compared to the Huracan, this new powertrain pushes the
performance just [music] out of reach. At least on the road, it also does leave it wanting in the sound department. The Teamario then, at least in our
