> Source: [This Hurts You.. Bad News for The Internet](https://youtube.com/watch?v=kG_BxaVhLdQ)

## Summary

The video discusses recent developments in internet censorship and digital ID laws across the globe, framing them as a coordinated attack on privacy and anonymity. The creator highlights specific incidents in the UK, Brazil, California, and Australia, and criticizes the 'protect the children' narrative as a pretext for surveillance.

### Key Points

- **Recent Internet Restrictions** [00:02] — The UK's Online Safety Act, California's facial analysis, Discord's digital ID requirement in Brazil, and PlayStation's age verification in Australia are all recent examples of internet restrictions.
- **Domino Effect of Legislation** [02:09] — The UK's Online Safety Act started a domino effect, leading to similar laws in the US, Brazil, Philippines, Australia, and Europe.
- **Foreign Influence in US Laws** [02:37] — A British group affiliated with the government is pushing age verification laws in 21 US states, which the creator calls a conflict of interest.
- **VPNs Under Attack** [03:41] — Governments are trying to outlaw VPNs to force digital ID presentation and remove anonymity online.
- **Hypocrisy in the Narrative** [04:38] — The creator argues that the 'protect the kids' narrative is false, citing the Epstein list and rape gangs in Europe as evidence.
- **Data Breaches Prove Unsafety** [05:17] — Data breaches at Discord and the French government show that digital ID systems are not safe, undermining trust in these measures.
- **Discord's Digital ID Requirement** [06:39] — Discord now requires digital ID for real-time video chat in Brazil, and the creator warns this will spread globally.

## Transcript

the British government's involvement. New Jersey introduces time restraints access the internet a limited time per day, very similar to how China operates. We have California introducing facial analysis, hand gesture analysis, and
also other forms of digital ID to access the internet. We have Discord shutting down go live and real-time video chat within Brazil and soon to be other countries if you do not present digital ID. We have VPNs currently under
governments are currently trying to outlaw them or ban them in some way to basically force you to present digital ID. We have the French government that digital ID and your information from people and malicious actors. They got
hacked and people's digital ID has been doxed and now being basically held by ransom thanks to a hacker. Then we have PlayStation jumping into the ring and they are now forcing in age verification in for users within Australia. So yeah,
this is legitimately backto back just absolutely bad news all in just the last few days. And there is going to be people that will look you dead in the is not a coordinated effort, that this is just a coincidence. That's what they
will say. It's a coincidence this has happened. It's not that bad. But when you have every single government, every single massive company actively pushing this narrative to bring the internet to its knees to censor, to steal your data,
to know what you're doing at any given moment and censor you, you know, it's not a good thing by any means. All these different governments want your data. All these uh companies want your data because if they know what you're doing,
where you are, who you are, they can put a face to the user and you can be it happens. It's already happening within the UK. We know people get in they have the wrong thing, wrong opinion. So, the point here is is that
every single different country is trying to implement their own version. And I mean, we have a systematic domino effect that has just gotten worse in the last year and a half. It all began with the UK introducing their own online safety
act and it's been a domino effect ever since with the Screen Act to the KOSA in with stuff within Brazil within the Philippines within Australia within Europe. You get the point. And then that's not including just individual
companies like with what Discord's been doing, what we have seen from basically different companies. I mean, PlayStation's getting involved. I mean, getting something soon as well. It's just outright horrendous. It is. And I
just I want to talk about this one first before I go any further. What do you mean a British group that is affiliated with the British government is pushing age verification laws in 21 different states? What do you mean a foreign
government is able to do something like this? Like this outright just seems very malicious. Like this is a conflict of interest. This honestly anyone supporting something like that I feel is being treasonous. I'm just it feels like
treason because what do you mean you're going to allow a foreign government to dictate our privacy and age verification when we have seen what they have been doing in the last year to their own citizens? We have seen that people have
gotten arrested over a meme. We have seen that they actively allow gangs and criminals to roam the streets and hurt people, but they will go after a granny that has cancer because she said the wrong political opinion on Facebook.
everybody has seen. And so the fact that you have the British government in groups pushing this within the United States in 21 different states, this is absolutely unacceptable. But it doesn't just stop that. A lot of these different
stuff they're trying to push is literally, you can see it right here. They're trying to rein in VPNs. They're trying to get rid of VPN. drain it in because obviously VPNs are a way around some of these laws, a way around doxing
obviously don't have that implemented yet. And so they are trying to get this uh at the very source they're trying to completely force every single company to force digital ID just to access the internet. And we have seen this slow
encroachment of strangulation on the internet happening with almost every happening with YouTube. We know this is happening with Google. We know this is happening obviously with Discord. We know this is happening on every massive
social media platform. And it's getting bad, man. Because I would want to point say the reason why this is happening is to protect kids. But we have seen time about. You want to know how we know these governments don't care about kids?
The Epstein list. That's enough proof. But that doesn't even get into the rape gangs that's going on within like Europe and stuff and UK and all that type of But they they they act like, you know,
reigning in digital ID and fictional content. We have seen the absolute clown world status and just like everything about this is absolutely bonkers to me. Like it it's just such a scary thing seeing so many governments and so many
companies collectively wanting to strangle the internet and get rid of any privacy that you potentially have. And I mean we know that this privacy them trying to act like it's going to be safe doesn't work because we've seen time and
time again that it is anything but safe. We have seen Discord have a massive data breach at the beginning of this year where people's private data was literally exposed. We have had the situation now with the French government
people's private information has been exposed. I mean, we have seen it time and time again. You cannot trust these companies with your personal information. I know for a fact I don't trust Sony PlayStation with my personal
information. They get hacked so many times where their entire service is down for so long. I don't know how anyone would want to trust him with age verification. I know I wouldn't. I don't want to trust any company. And when you
even capable of protecting your stuff, having your ID, imagine the littleer have nowhere near the capital, the same amount of money as these massive monolithic giants do. They can't afford security. They can't at all. They're
security, and it's not going to be able to do anything whatsoever. So, like everything about this has just been a ticking time bomb that is getting worse and worse. And it is really upsetting how many people legitimately are not
talking about this. How many people just remain silent and are like, "Ah, you that your freedoms and rights on the internet is just being stripped away happening in Discord. Like you you literally now in Brazil, people
real-time video chats within Brazil without giving over digital ID. And this is definitely going to happen everywhere else on the internet. People that think this is not, you're deluding yourself 100%. You're naive and deluding yourself
if you don't think that this is going to not hit every single place around the world and every single form where Discord is and other companies actually about VPN's under attack. A lot of people like to say VPNs are the answer
and all that. You can get around certain things with VPN. But these governments want to get rid of them. They want to censor them. They want to stop them from existing because they are a threat to the plan of digital ID and removing the
ability to be anonymous online. So yeah, I'm just I want to bring attention to all these different things, all this different news that's came out. It is legitimately insane. And I'm not going to lie, guys. I'm tired. I'm pretty
tired. I am really tired with all this. It is It is really annoying. It really there's just not a lot of big creators that talk about this. It's really really nerve-wracking. It It makes me just like feel like these big big creators and
content creators, they they might like I I don't want to say they're in on it obviously, but it's just like it is so strange so many content creators don't talk about this and how much of a threat this is. This is a legitimate threat.
It's not about protecting kids. It's not. It It's not. And we've seen this different tallies on the graph that shows it's not. They just use that to push a narrative that it is, but we know it's not. So, I will leave it at that.
below. I know I overloaded you with a lot of bad news, but I just wanted to everybody because it's absolutely insane. But, uh, be safe, stay healthy. insane. But, uh, be safe, stay healthy. She be out.
