[0:00] Hey folks, this is Kalamazi. It has [0:02] never been this easy to gear up in World [0:04] of Warcraft and the new content added in [0:06] patch 1205 makes things even easier, [0:09] especially for solo content focused [0:11] players. You can straight up buy hero [0:14] track gear using the new field accolade [0:16] currency. Now, the 500 price tag might [0:19] seem a bit steep, but there are some [0:21] ways to farm this currency very quickly, [0:23] especially from the new ritual sites. [0:26] So, let's go over 18 tips and tricks to [0:28] clear tier five ritual sites much [0:30] easier, which will make farming field [0:32] accolades a lot faster, so you can buy [0:35] your shiny new hero track gear. Now, [0:37] before we jump in, be sure to hit that [0:38] like button and subscribe so you never [0:41] miss another video. [0:42] Perhaps the most important tip I have [0:45] for you right out of the gate is that if [0:46] you're interested in farming field [0:48] accolades for these new boxes of gear, [0:50] you should avoid void strikes and [0:53] assaults. They may be easy, but they are [0:55] incredibly inefficient. If you want to [0:58] actually get any hero gear anytime soon [1:00] from this system, you should be looking [1:02] at ritual sites instead. The main reason [1:05] most players will want to farm ritual [1:07] sites is for the field accolades [1:09] currency and we need 500 for each piece [1:11] of hero gear that you want to buy. With [1:13] that being the main goal, let's talk [1:15] about how you can increase your field [1:17] accolade rewards first. Field accolades [1:20] are tied to your spoils at the end of [1:22] your run, which is also your overall [1:24] score. You get 10% of your spoils or [1:26] score in field accolades. So, to [1:28] increase field accolades, you just need [1:31] to increase your spoils. It's that easy. [1:35] We can do this in two main ways. The [1:37] higher the tier of ritual site you run, [1:39] the more spoils you're going to get for [1:41] each activity in that run. There are [1:44] five tiers total, so your goal should be [1:46] to clear tier five quickly and reliably. [1:49] The other way to increase your spoils is [1:51] to enable the challenges at the bottom [1:53] of the ritual site screen. Each one adds [1:56] a new obstacle for you to overcome and [1:58] they also add a modifier to your end or [2:01] score. Not every challenge is equal [2:03] though. Some are significantly harder or [2:05] more annoying to deal with and they each [2:08] increase your spoils by a different [2:09] amount. Grasping tendrils will [2:12] periodically spawn green circles under [2:14] your feet that will root you if you [2:16] stand in them when the cast ends, so [2:18] just step out of those whenever they [2:19] spawn. Manifestations will spawn a [2:22] caster who has a huge purple circle [2:24] around him. If he finishes the cast, [2:26] you'll take a bunch of damage if you're [2:28] in the circle, so either interrupt or CC [2:30] the caster or just run out of the [2:32] circle. Whatever works best in the [2:34] current situation. Magical alarm bells [2:37] will spawn some extra ads when you kill [2:38] enough monsters and you can see the [2:40] counter for that at the top of your [2:41] screen. So, just keep an eye on that [2:43] number and get ready for some extra [2:45] aggro as you progress through your run. [2:48] Malevolent boons causes the dark [2:50] obelisks to provide pretty hefty buffs [2:52] to mini bosses and bosses, so you want [2:54] to kill the obelisks to remove those [2:56] buffs before engaging with any big [2:58] monsters. Tainted corpses causes mobs to [3:01] leave a puddle of gunk on the floor when [3:03] they die, so just don't stand in those [3:05] puddles and you'll be fine. Reinforced [3:07] increases the number of trash mobs in [3:09] the entire ritual site, which will make [3:11] it harder to skip around things and [3:13] you'll just end up fighting a lot more. [3:15] Patrols will spawn big elite mobs that [3:17] patrol around the area. Usually, they're [3:20] fairly easy to dodge, so stay away from [3:22] them whenever you can. And then embers [3:24] causes a few buffs to appear for the [3:26] bosses and mini bosses and you need to [3:28] kill all of the monsters that are marked [3:30] with a blue purple orb to disable those [3:32] boons to make killing the bosses much [3:34] easier. That's also tracked at the top [3:36] of your screen. [3:38] Now, you might expect the overall goal [3:41] to be to run a tier five ritual site [3:43] with all challenges enabled. That will [3:45] give you the most spoils and field [3:47] accolades after all, right? Well, yes [3:49] and no. It will definitely give you the [3:51] most spoils per run, but that's actually [3:54] not a very good metric to go by. Your [3:56] goal should be to earn as many field [3:58] accolades per time spent running ritual [4:00] sites rather than per ritual site run. [4:04] The reason why this is so important is [4:06] because specific challenges will make [4:08] your ritual sites take significantly [4:10] longer due to the way the ritual sites [4:12] are set up. You don't really get [4:14] anything for killing trash mobs and to [4:16] earn your chest at the end, you only [4:18] have to clear the required objectives, [4:20] which mainly consists of killing a [4:22] handful of mini bosses and bosses. That [4:25] leads me into the next tip. You want to [4:27] skip as much as you can. You want to aim [4:29] to do as little as possible while still [4:32] clearing the required objectives, so [4:34] skip around trash mobs whenever you can [4:36] and that will significantly speed up [4:38] your ritual site runs. You only have to [4:40] kill the marked mini bosses and the [4:42] final boss to get your loot. Trash mobs [4:45] are worth practically nothing in the [4:47] grand scheme of things. So, look at your [4:49] objectives on the right-hand side and [4:51] try to complete only those with as [4:53] little extra work as you can. [4:56] Now, to make your runs as smooth and [4:58] fast as possible, we also want to avoid [5:00] taking any challenges that force you to [5:02] engage with trash mobs. For example, [5:05] embers forces you to kill trash mobs to [5:07] disable the powerful buffs on bosses and [5:09] mini bosses. All of that is just [5:11] unnecessary extra time and the spoils [5:14] increase doesn't justify how much extra [5:17] time this adds to your run. Malevolent [5:20] boons forces you to go out of your way [5:22] to kill the dark obelisks before you [5:24] engage with mini bosses and bosses, [5:26] which can sometimes require clearing [5:28] trash mobs in the way, which will also [5:30] slow you down quite a bit. And then to a [5:33] lesser extent, reinforced adds a lot [5:35] more trash mobs in each ritual site, [5:37] which just means more trash for you to [5:39] avoid. You can run with this one if [5:41] you're confident, but chances are it's [5:44] still going to slow you down at least a [5:45] little bit. So, I would run your ritual [5:48] sites with every other challenge enabled [5:50] except those three. You should be able [5:52] to focus solely on mini bosses and [5:54] bosses to clear through each run very [5:56] quickly. [5:58] The next tip is that you don't have to [6:00] run these ritual sites on tier five if [6:02] you can't clear through them reliably or [6:05] it's just taking too long to be worth [6:07] it. Every tier option will earn you [6:09] field accolades faster than completing [6:11] void strikes and all sources of field [6:13] accolades earn you the same reward, [6:16] boxes of champion or hero track gear. If [6:18] you can't clear tier five, you can still [6:21] get hero gear with tier four or tier [6:23] three or even tiers one and two. It's [6:25] just going to take a bit longer per [6:27] piece of gear, but as you gear up, you [6:29] should be able to move up the tiers to [6:31] make things faster and easier. If you're [6:34] curious, tier one drops around 20 field [6:36] accolades, tier two can be around 50 [6:39] accolades, tier three is around 70, tier [6:41] four gives you around 100, and tier five [6:44] should net you just shy of 120 field [6:47] accolades per run if you're running with [6:49] the challenges I mentioned above. The [6:51] further along you are in the renown [6:52] track and the more treasures and rares [6:54] you kill, the more field accolades you [6:56] will get. And of course, if you really [6:58] wanted to, you could enable the other [7:00] challenges to really max this out, but [7:02] those runs will probably take a bit [7:04] longer, so your overall earnings per [7:06] hour would be the same or lower. But [7:08] ultimately, it's up to you. I will say [7:12] that if your runs are taking longer than [7:14] 15 minutes each, try dropping the tier [7:17] to see if that helps. Try avoiding more [7:19] trash mobs to speed things up further [7:21] and revisit some of the other tips in [7:23] this video. On my ramp paladin that I'm [7:25] still gearing up, I can comfortably [7:27] clear lower tiers in five to seven [7:29] minutes while tier fives take about 10 [7:31] minutes each. Dropping down to tier four [7:33] doesn't seem to sacrifice too many field [7:35] accolades and it will be at least a bit [7:37] easier to complete. At tier four and [7:40] five, you should be able to earn [7:41] yourself a piece of hero gear every hour [7:44] of play time. [7:46] Something else that can help speed [7:48] things up is to make sure you're well [7:50] stocked with consumables. Healing [7:52] potions are a must-have in any kind of [7:54] solo content, especially when you can't [7:56] lean on Valera for an easy carry. So, [7:59] always carry a stack of healing potions [8:01] for those clutch moments. DPS potions [8:04] can give you a huge chunk of burst to [8:06] take down annoying bosses a bit faster. [8:08] And then flasks are always useful and [8:10] they're pretty good value if you sit [8:12] down for an hour and smash out a few [8:14] ritual sites in a row. And of course, if [8:16] you don't have a lust spell for [8:18] yourself, the lust drums can really help [8:21] you take down those bosses quite a bit [8:22] faster. [8:24] It's always worth taking a peek in your [8:26] talent tree as well and make sure you're [8:28] taking extra crowd control, any [8:30] defensive options you might have, and [8:32] focus more on solo play. Not having [8:35] Valera here makes this quite a bit [8:37] harder when compared to delves, [8:38] especially if you're playing a squishier [8:41] class. So, make sure you're taking all [8:43] of the tools you have to survive a bit [8:44] better and longer. [8:46] The one major mechanic that's going to [8:48] help out with this are the green orbs [8:50] that spawn while you're in combat. Each [8:52] green orb you collect heals you for a [8:54] bunch of health, even more as you work [8:55] your way through the renown track. So, [8:57] keep your eye on where these orbs spawn [9:00] and if you start to dip a bit low, just [9:01] go pick one up. I wouldn't run over them [9:04] as and when they spawn, save them for [9:06] when you actually need the healing. You [9:08] can end up with quite a few orbs just [9:10] hanging out ready for you to pick them [9:12] up if you take a big hit, miss an [9:14] interrupt, or just make a mistake. [9:17] As you work your way through the renown [9:19] track, you'll pick up bonuses that speed [9:21] things up even further or give you more [9:23] opportunities to earn spoils. You'll [9:25] start to find smaller treasures [9:27] throughout the run and these can be [9:28] worth picking up as long as you don't [9:30] have to fight too many monsters to get [9:32] to them. Rare mobs start popping up at [9:34] renown rank four and they're basically [9:36] just extra mini bosses, so you want to [9:38] kill those whenever you can. Two usually [9:40] spawn per run, so make sure you kill [9:42] both. The shrines of power will give you [9:44] a fairly decent buff when you get to [9:46] renown rank five, so you want to grab [9:48] those as you're working your way through [9:50] the runs and they'll speed things up. [9:52] Rank seven unlocks large treasure [9:54] chests, which give you way more spoils, [9:56] so you do want to make sure you grab [9:58] these every time you can. Two usually [10:00] spawn in each run, so make sure you get [10:02] both. And then at rank eight, rare [10:04] elites spawn in the run, too. And [10:06] they're just like killing another mini [10:08] boss, so make sure you include those in [10:10] your kill list. Most of these items will [10:13] appear on your map when you unlock them, [10:15] so keep an eye on your mini map as [10:17] you're progressing through the run to [10:18] see if a large treasure, a rare, or the [10:21] rare elite, or one of the shrines is [10:23] nearby. Collecting all of these things [10:25] and killing the rares can increase your [10:26] overall spoils quite significantly, [10:29] which leads to more field accolades per [10:31] run. [10:33] If you're running tier five ritual [10:35] sites, you should be getting over 1,000 [10:37] renown progress per run, so working [10:39] through the renown track is actually [10:41] very quick. And the progress is also [10:43] account-wide, so if you want to gear up [10:45] an alt later on, they're going to start [10:47] with everything unlocked right from the [10:49] get-go, which should make gearing up [10:51] your alts much faster. [10:53] Now, something else that makes ritual [10:55] sites incredibly efficient just as an [10:57] overall activity is that each tier five [11:00] run is also going to reward you with 20 [11:03] hero crests. So, if it takes five runs [11:06] to get a piece of hero gear from the [11:08] vendor, those five runs will also give [11:10] you enough crests to fully upgrade that [11:13] piece of gear. So, you don't have to go [11:15] out of your way to farm more crests from [11:17] a different activity or worry about [11:19] weekly quests and which ones you need to [11:20] do. Ritual sites are actually all you [11:23] need to both get the gear and fully [11:26] upgrade it. [11:28] Now, if you're interested in some ritual [11:30] site specific tips in the Eversong Woods [11:32] ritual site, I would recommend killing [11:34] these casters as you work your way [11:36] around the zone before the mini boss [11:39] spawns. Chances are, if they're still up [11:41] and you engage the mini boss, they'll [11:43] get dragged into combat with you, and [11:45] it'll just make everything a bit harder. [11:46] So, I always try to kill them early on. [11:49] For the mind flayer mini boss, if you [11:50] have to choose between interrupting the [11:52] curse cast or the shield cast, I would [11:54] always go with the curse cast. It's [11:56] called touch of apathy, and it reduces [11:58] your attack and casting speed for a [12:00] whole minute, which is going to make [12:02] everything take so much longer. You can [12:05] dispel the shield or just DPS through [12:07] it, but that minute-long curse is a huge [12:09] pain if you can't get rid of it [12:11] yourself. For the Zul'Aman ritual site, [12:13] when you're fighting the phoenix mini [12:15] boss, make sure you soak these circles [12:17] whenever you can. If you don't soak [12:19] them, they're going to deal a bunch of [12:20] damage to you, which can kill you very [12:22] quickly. And then on the boss itself, [12:25] always kill the ads as soon as they pop [12:27] up, as the boss will gain a huge damage [12:30] reduction shield while the ads are [12:32] active, so always focus down the ads [12:35] first. Are there any bosses, mini [12:37] bosses, or just anything else that [12:39] you've been specifically struggling with [12:41] in the ritual site so far? Let me know [12:43] in the comments below, and I'll see if I [12:45] have any tips to help you out. [12:48] And then to round out this video, the [12:50] last tip I have is that tier 11 [12:52] bountiful delves are still worth running [12:54] with your restored coffer keys. Ritual [12:56] sites will give you a lot of coffer key [12:58] shards, so you won't have to do pray [13:00] hunts or other open world content to [13:02] earn those shards, letting you go [13:04] straight from ritual sites into your [13:06] bountiful delves. Tier 11 bountiful [13:08] delves give you another chance to get [13:10] hero gear as long as you've got rank [13:12] nine on the delve seasonal track, and [13:14] you can earn a currency to buy hero gear [13:17] after a few runs. So, it's just more [13:19] chances for hero gear, which can help [13:21] cut down your overall field accolade [13:23] farming requirements. Unfortunately, you [13:25] are limited to how many restored coffer [13:27] keys you can get per week. The big [13:29] rewards only come from the locked chests [13:31] in bountiful delves, so delves won't [13:33] necessarily let you gear up faster than [13:36] ritual sites, but it's a nice way to [13:37] change things up while still working [13:39] towards hero track gear. But, that's all [13:42] of our tips and tricks for clearing [13:43] ritual sites easier and to farm your [13:45] field accolades a bit faster. So, that's [13:47] it for this video. What do you think of [13:49] ritual sites from what you've played so [13:51] far, and do you prefer the Eversong [13:53] Woods or the Zul'Aman ritual site?
