## Summary

This World of Warcraft guide explains how to efficiently farm field accolades by clearing ritual sites in patch 12.05. The video provides 18 tips and tricks to clear tier five ritual sites faster, enabling players to purchase hero track gear more quickly.

### Key Points

- **New Gear Ease** [0:00] — Patch 1205 introduced hero track gear purchasable with field accolades from ritual sites.
- **Avoid Void Strikes** [0:42] — Void strikes are inefficient; ritual sites are the best source for field accolades.
- **Spoils to Accolades** [1:20] — You earn 10% of your spoils (score) as field accolades; higher spoils mean more accolades.
- **Enable Challenges** [1:51] — Bottom challenges increase spoils; choose wisely as some slow runs significantly.
- **Per Time Metric** [3:38] — Prioritize field accolades per hour, not per run; skipping trash mobs speeds up runs.
- **Avoid Certain Challenges** [4:56] — Avoid Embers, Malevolent Boons, and Reinforced as they force trash engagement and slow runs.
- **Tier Flexibility** [5:58] — Run lower tiers if tier five is too slow; rewards still yield hero gear over time.
- **Use Consumables** [7:46] — Healing potions, DPS potions, flasks, and lust drums speed runs and improve survival.
- **Talent Adjustments** [8:24] — Focus on crowd control, defensives, and solo play talents to survive without Valera.
- **Green Orbs Healing** [8:46] — Green orbs heal you; save them for emergencies rather than collecting immediately.
- **Renown Rewards** [9:17] — Renown levels unlock treasures, rares, shrines, and rare elites that boost spoils.
- **Crests from Rituals** [10:53] — Tier five runs grant 20 hero crests each; five runs provide enough crests to fully upgrade the hero gear.
- **Zone Specific Tips** [11:28] — For Eversong Woods, kill casters before mini bosses; for Zul'Aman, soak phoenix circles and kill boss ads.
- **Delves Complement** [12:48] — Tier 11 bountiful delves with keys offer additional hero gear chances and change of pace.

### Conclusion

By focusing on efficient ritual site runs, skipping unnecessary engagements, and leveraging renown rewards, players can farm field accolades quickly and obtain hero track gear with minimal time investment.

Hey folks, this is Kalamazi. It has
never been this easy to gear up in World
of Warcraft and the new content added in
patch 1205 makes things even easier,
especially for solo content focused
players. You can straight up buy hero
track gear using the new field accolade
currency. Now, the 500 price tag might
seem a bit steep, but there are some
ways to farm this currency very quickly,
especially from the new ritual sites.
So, let's go over 18 tips and tricks to
clear tier five ritual sites much
easier, which will make farming field
accolades a lot faster, so you can buy
your shiny new hero track gear. Now,
before we jump in, be sure to hit that
like button and subscribe so you never
miss another video.
Perhaps the most important tip I have
for you right out of the gate is that if
you're interested in farming field
accolades for these new boxes of gear,
you should avoid void strikes and
assaults. They may be easy, but they are
incredibly inefficient. If you want to
actually get any hero gear anytime soon
from this system, you should be looking
at ritual sites instead. The main reason
most players will want to farm ritual
sites is for the field accolades
currency and we need 500 for each piece
of hero gear that you want to buy. With
that being the main goal, let's talk
about how you can increase your field
accolade rewards first. Field accolades
are tied to your spoils at the end of
your run, which is also your overall
score. You get 10% of your spoils or
score in field accolades. So, to
increase field accolades, you just need
to increase your spoils. It's that easy.
We can do this in two main ways. The
higher the tier of ritual site you run,
the more spoils you're going to get for
each activity in that run. There are
five tiers total, so your goal should be
to clear tier five quickly and reliably.
The other way to increase your spoils is
to enable the challenges at the bottom
of the ritual site screen. Each one adds
a new obstacle for you to overcome and
they also add a modifier to your end or
score. Not every challenge is equal
though. Some are significantly harder or
more annoying to deal with and they each
increase your spoils by a different
amount. Grasping tendrils will
periodically spawn green circles under
your feet that will root you if you
stand in them when the cast ends, so
just step out of those whenever they
spawn. Manifestations will spawn a
caster who has a huge purple circle
around him. If he finishes the cast,
you'll take a bunch of damage if you're
in the circle, so either interrupt or CC
the caster or just run out of the
circle. Whatever works best in the
current situation. Magical alarm bells
will spawn some extra ads when you kill
enough monsters and you can see the
counter for that at the top of your
screen. So, just keep an eye on that
number and get ready for some extra
aggro as you progress through your run.
Malevolent boons causes the dark
obelisks to provide pretty hefty buffs
to mini bosses and bosses, so you want
to kill the obelisks to remove those
buffs before engaging with any big
monsters. Tainted corpses causes mobs to
leave a puddle of gunk on the floor when
they die, so just don't stand in those
puddles and you'll be fine. Reinforced
increases the number of trash mobs in
the entire ritual site, which will make
it harder to skip around things and
you'll just end up fighting a lot more.
Patrols will spawn big elite mobs that
patrol around the area. Usually, they're
fairly easy to dodge, so stay away from
them whenever you can. And then embers
causes a few buffs to appear for the
bosses and mini bosses and you need to
kill all of the monsters that are marked
with a blue purple orb to disable those
boons to make killing the bosses much
easier. That's also tracked at the top
of your screen.
Now, you might expect the overall goal
to be to run a tier five ritual site
with all challenges enabled. That will
give you the most spoils and field
accolades after all, right? Well, yes
and no. It will definitely give you the
most spoils per run, but that's actually
not a very good metric to go by. Your
goal should be to earn as many field
accolades per time spent running ritual
sites rather than per ritual site run.
The reason why this is so important is
because specific challenges will make
your ritual sites take significantly
longer due to the way the ritual sites
are set up. You don't really get
anything for killing trash mobs and to
earn your chest at the end, you only
have to clear the required objectives,
which mainly consists of killing a
handful of mini bosses and bosses. That
leads me into the next tip. You want to
skip as much as you can. You want to aim
to do as little as possible while still
clearing the required objectives, so
skip around trash mobs whenever you can
and that will significantly speed up
your ritual site runs. You only have to
kill the marked mini bosses and the
final boss to get your loot. Trash mobs
are worth practically nothing in the
grand scheme of things. So, look at your
objectives on the right-hand side and
try to complete only those with as
little extra work as you can.
Now, to make your runs as smooth and
fast as possible, we also want to avoid
taking any challenges that force you to
engage with trash mobs. For example,
embers forces you to kill trash mobs to
disable the powerful buffs on bosses and
mini bosses. All of that is just
unnecessary extra time and the spoils
increase doesn't justify how much extra
time this adds to your run. Malevolent
boons forces you to go out of your way
to kill the dark obelisks before you
engage with mini bosses and bosses,
which can sometimes require clearing
trash mobs in the way, which will also
slow you down quite a bit. And then to a
lesser extent, reinforced adds a lot
more trash mobs in each ritual site,
which just means more trash for you to
avoid. You can run with this one if
you're confident, but chances are it's
still going to slow you down at least a
little bit. So, I would run your ritual
sites with every other challenge enabled
except those three. You should be able
to focus solely on mini bosses and
bosses to clear through each run very
quickly.
The next tip is that you don't have to
run these ritual sites on tier five if
you can't clear through them reliably or
it's just taking too long to be worth
it. Every tier option will earn you
field accolades faster than completing
void strikes and all sources of field
accolades earn you the same reward,
boxes of champion or hero track gear. If
you can't clear tier five, you can still
get hero gear with tier four or tier
three or even tiers one and two. It's
just going to take a bit longer per
piece of gear, but as you gear up, you
should be able to move up the tiers to
make things faster and easier. If you're
curious, tier one drops around 20 field
accolades, tier two can be around 50
accolades, tier three is around 70, tier
four gives you around 100, and tier five
should net you just shy of 120 field
accolades per run if you're running with
the challenges I mentioned above. The
further along you are in the renown
track and the more treasures and rares
you kill, the more field accolades you
will get. And of course, if you really
wanted to, you could enable the other
challenges to really max this out, but
those runs will probably take a bit
longer, so your overall earnings per
hour would be the same or lower. But
ultimately, it's up to you. I will say
that if your runs are taking longer than
15 minutes each, try dropping the tier
to see if that helps. Try avoiding more
trash mobs to speed things up further
and revisit some of the other tips in
this video. On my ramp paladin that I'm
still gearing up, I can comfortably
clear lower tiers in five to seven
minutes while tier fives take about 10
minutes each. Dropping down to tier four
doesn't seem to sacrifice too many field
accolades and it will be at least a bit
easier to complete. At tier four and
five, you should be able to earn
yourself a piece of hero gear every hour
of play time.
Something else that can help speed
things up is to make sure you're well
stocked with consumables. Healing
potions are a must-have in any kind of
solo content, especially when you can't
lean on Valera for an easy carry. So,
always carry a stack of healing potions
for those clutch moments. DPS potions
can give you a huge chunk of burst to
take down annoying bosses a bit faster.
And then flasks are always useful and
they're pretty good value if you sit
down for an hour and smash out a few
ritual sites in a row. And of course, if
you don't have a lust spell for
yourself, the lust drums can really help
you take down those bosses quite a bit
faster.
It's always worth taking a peek in your
talent tree as well and make sure you're
taking extra crowd control, any
defensive options you might have, and
focus more on solo play. Not having
Valera here makes this quite a bit
harder when compared to delves,
especially if you're playing a squishier
class. So, make sure you're taking all
of the tools you have to survive a bit
better and longer.
The one major mechanic that's going to
help out with this are the green orbs
that spawn while you're in combat. Each
green orb you collect heals you for a
bunch of health, even more as you work
your way through the renown track. So,
keep your eye on where these orbs spawn
and if you start to dip a bit low, just
go pick one up. I wouldn't run over them
as and when they spawn, save them for
when you actually need the healing. You
can end up with quite a few orbs just
hanging out ready for you to pick them
up if you take a big hit, miss an
interrupt, or just make a mistake.
As you work your way through the renown
track, you'll pick up bonuses that speed
things up even further or give you more
opportunities to earn spoils. You'll
start to find smaller treasures
throughout the run and these can be
worth picking up as long as you don't
have to fight too many monsters to get
to them. Rare mobs start popping up at
renown rank four and they're basically
just extra mini bosses, so you want to
kill those whenever you can. Two usually
spawn per run, so make sure you kill
both. The shrines of power will give you
a fairly decent buff when you get to
renown rank five, so you want to grab
those as you're working your way through
the runs and they'll speed things up.
Rank seven unlocks large treasure
chests, which give you way more spoils,
so you do want to make sure you grab
these every time you can. Two usually
spawn in each run, so make sure you get
both. And then at rank eight, rare
elites spawn in the run, too. And
they're just like killing another mini
boss, so make sure you include those in
your kill list. Most of these items will
appear on your map when you unlock them,
so keep an eye on your mini map as
you're progressing through the run to
see if a large treasure, a rare, or the
rare elite, or one of the shrines is
nearby. Collecting all of these things
and killing the rares can increase your
overall spoils quite significantly,
which leads to more field accolades per
run.
If you're running tier five ritual
sites, you should be getting over 1,000
renown progress per run, so working
through the renown track is actually
very quick. And the progress is also
account-wide, so if you want to gear up
an alt later on, they're going to start
with everything unlocked right from the
get-go, which should make gearing up
your alts much faster.
Now, something else that makes ritual
sites incredibly efficient just as an
overall activity is that each tier five
run is also going to reward you with 20
hero crests. So, if it takes five runs
to get a piece of hero gear from the
vendor, those five runs will also give
you enough crests to fully upgrade that
piece of gear. So, you don't have to go
out of your way to farm more crests from
a different activity or worry about
weekly quests and which ones you need to
do. Ritual sites are actually all you
need to both get the gear and fully
upgrade it.
Now, if you're interested in some ritual
site specific tips in the Eversong Woods
ritual site, I would recommend killing
these casters as you work your way
around the zone before the mini boss
spawns. Chances are, if they're still up
and you engage the mini boss, they'll
get dragged into combat with you, and
it'll just make everything a bit harder.
So, I always try to kill them early on.
For the mind flayer mini boss, if you
have to choose between interrupting the
curse cast or the shield cast, I would
always go with the curse cast. It's
called touch of apathy, and it reduces
your attack and casting speed for a
whole minute, which is going to make
everything take so much longer. You can
dispel the shield or just DPS through
it, but that minute-long curse is a huge
pain if you can't get rid of it
yourself. For the Zul'Aman ritual site,
when you're fighting the phoenix mini
boss, make sure you soak these circles
whenever you can. If you don't soak
them, they're going to deal a bunch of
damage to you, which can kill you very
quickly. And then on the boss itself,
always kill the ads as soon as they pop
up, as the boss will gain a huge damage
reduction shield while the ads are
active, so always focus down the ads
first. Are there any bosses, mini
bosses, or just anything else that
you've been specifically struggling with
in the ritual site so far? Let me know
in the comments below, and I'll see if I
have any tips to help you out.
And then to round out this video, the
last tip I have is that tier 11
bountiful delves are still worth running
with your restored coffer keys. Ritual
sites will give you a lot of coffer key
shards, so you won't have to do pray
hunts or other open world content to
earn those shards, letting you go
straight from ritual sites into your
bountiful delves. Tier 11 bountiful
delves give you another chance to get
hero gear as long as you've got rank
nine on the delve seasonal track, and
you can earn a currency to buy hero gear
after a few runs. So, it's just more
chances for hero gear, which can help
cut down your overall field accolade
farming requirements. Unfortunately, you
are limited to how many restored coffer
keys you can get per week. The big
rewards only come from the locked chests
in bountiful delves, so delves won't
necessarily let you gear up faster than
ritual sites, but it's a nice way to
change things up while still working
towards hero track gear. But, that's all
of our tips and tricks for clearing
ritual sites easier and to farm your
field accolades a bit faster. So, that's
it for this video. What do you think of
ritual sites from what you've played so
far, and do you prefer the Eversong
Woods or the Zul'Aman ritual site? Leave
