## Transcript

Good afternoon, ladies, chap, and I'm John, this has been your true nerd and welcome back to Fallout 3, The Worst Wanderer. Well, it's time we made it here to erase this, and as a result today, we're kicking off with a somewhat morally complicated quest.
Glad to see you're finally awake. I can't believe they made you do that stupid ceremony.
They listen when I talk, but they don't hear. You know what I mean? So, Mr. Tate, we go to Toki, train T.R.
And he wants me to do something very specific for him. I have you brought in here to ask a very simple favor.
Would you please kill me? So yes, this question is a place that confronts you with the moral question of euthanasia. Specifically in the case of Harold, the talkie-dream here,
in a situation where he's physically incapable of doing anything, and his family, or a stand-in for his family, the cult, aren't willing to do what he wants them to do. So there we go. Objective 1, enter the caves below and destroy Harold's heart,
because, as you've stated, his organs have been moved around a bit, But, as I was saying, other people want me to do other things. Here we go. You say that confronts the cult with the fact that Harold wishes to die.
Yes, I've been pondering that little myself for some time now, and I think I know what he's trying to tell us. The Great One's influence is growing, and soon it will break free of the confines of this secluded vale.
We can't allow Oasis to call attention to itself like that. It would be the end of him. So there we go. They just refuse to accept what he's asking them to do. So three-father Butch here wants you to just restrict Harold's growth,
keep him alive but at the same size, meanwhile the other faction wants his growth to accelerate. But what adds complexity to the whole question is that, yeah, a waste of things up on a plant, and you don't really see plants anywhere else in the wastelands.
possibly Harold is the king to the renewal of the entire capital area, so would. Yes, it is a very difficult question to answer, but today we're not attempting to start with the most moral answer here.
We're answering this question on a much more practical basis, which is, who is going to give me the best stuff? Because, blimey, can you get some really good gear out of this mission?
Like, one of these individuals will give you one of the best hats in the game. But no, no, no, no, no, no. The rewards you could get from these guys are actually less significant to you, Sir Steve, than the reward I could get from Harold himself, if I actually do what he wants and destroy his heart.
However, before we go any further in that direction, yes, there's one very important character we do need to speak to. That playing you, who could give me an incredibly powerful bonus.
But to get it, I need to pass a speech check. So as a result of that, it's time to bring everything together here. Pop the wig on my head, pop on the naughty nightwear as well,
blend that with the lucky shade toe, and get what's already up to speech 44. The charisma is only toe. So now is the time to start adding a little bit more into play.
So here we go. Great Mentat, Charisma Plus 5, and one dose of a Moonshine as well. Which I'm now addicted to, but that's fine, we can sort that out nicely down the line. Because that gets my Charisma up to flipping 9.
And my feet up to a very respectable 58. So you're the outsider, huh? You seem nice to me. So here we go. Hello there, faffing you. Lovely to meet you.
So, Jess, let's talk about your dog. Oh, you mean Harold? He's really nice. Sometimes when I get really lonely, I go into the grow and talk to him.
Sometimes I even curl up all cozy-like and sleep next to his roots after I have a bad dream. I tell him what I'm scared of, and he tells me what he's scared of. It makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one.
It's Harry Flippy, y'all. With feature 76, we could get her to open up a little bit. D'aw, I never knew an outsider could be scared of anything. Harold told me that he's scared of fire.
If fire ever got on him, it would burn him and Bob until they were all gone. That's why we keep the fire scar away from him. Not that, Glow. That probably doesn't feel that significant. Because, like, you know, a way of discovering a potential alternate way to kill Harold.
Albeit a very bad one, you shouldn't do. But yes, President's speech check actually opens up the opportunity to get something really, really bloody good once this mission is complete and whole.
Speaking of which, yes, let's just make our way to the gates over here and have a bit of fun making our way to Harold's heart. Because I can only guess from, you know, the Milo text and whatnot.
Primarily dealing with Milo down here. And given they want to run it to me, yeah, let's try out my new and improved metal blaster. I feel like at that, it should do the job pretty nicely.
Yeah, this is a pretty small dungeon, all things considered, it should be pretty... Oh! Oh yeah! The Cataclysm, fucking love it. Able to kill a mile-oak even when you're shooting it in the reinforced down.
Now, the danger however is the King. He's got a sneak attack threat there. He just needs to get his attention. There we go, there we flippy go.
You sir can go down and I'll... Oh! Okay, there's no one... I forgot to put my armour back on. Yeah. I feel like I'm under the circumstances.
Given we know there's going to be trouble walking in this direction together. Yeah. Let's toss down some mines here and then yeah, just see if I can draw some people into those mines
Mind if you fall? I see you there, Barang Would you mind like, standing up please? Ok, there we go, I see you
I see you, just... I feel like we're not really hitting him, like at all right now try the Gasling Laser, what's the scratch like on... Oh, not bad at all, though I feel like I'm not hitting him
I feel like I'm not hitting you at all, though No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, please don't detonate the... don't detonate the mine, don't detonate the... The trick there was I wasn't holding still Would you mind coming over here, into the flipping...
I feel like that's not really excusing much Like, I swear that thing was doing more damage before, but... Ok, just come over here and... Unless he's got stuck in the wall.
Right, I'll take you over there. Takes you up, that's doing pretty well. Yeah, Metal Blaster's doing fine. Yeah, he's definitely just got stuck in the wall. And you're just, yeah, physics-ing into the water.
So, oh, Fallout 3's having a good day today. Ok, just keep shooting him. Eventually, he'll die. But yeah, occasionally when there are guaranteed forms of tough enemies
like, you know, mutants with rocket launchers, myloid kings, etc. Yeah, we really still struggle with those actually. So keep on keeping on, we've got to do a bit of swimming and some major progress out here.
Just move up forward to get down. If I can get a knee tag that would be a deal. the delgah, that is, oh yes, especially in the eye especially in the eye, the base could go down no trouble
the question is, yes, is there another king, or are we now most of us are being away there, to jam another bunch of
chambers, which is the final stage of the dungeon, but there's still a bit more to go, yes, in case this limit is going to be, oh I've seen you buddy, I've seen you. So, yeah, just go and...
Bad times need to reload, very bad times need to reload. But yeah, one drop to the knee, and you can see that... No, shotguns, shotguns are very bad when it comes to... Okay, so be a bit careful with my load, John. They can really bloody hurt you.
And the main thing, like, you know, reload the shotgun before the fight begins. Like, yeah, there we go, that's off to a much better start. We've already been a party of damage, so down you go.
Yeah, I can just get a crate with golden. It's just that it can be a bit tricky to do. So, you've got a three stealth boy on the table, and a three will book two. I now need money more than a flipping ever.
Second one there as well. Better and better. So I can grab all of that, and do not forget there's a skill fork in exactly the same spot. Thanks, good. See how my medicine could be a bit better.
That's a port of tour to the circumstances given the ass I might have been using if ever in medicine down here as a turn route. Right, we've got some more coming in by the way. Just a few shots in the eye will hopefully do for you.
Oh yeah! That'll do. As long as we get that critical eye hit we'll be fine. Oh dear! Okay, that's, that's less good. That's less good. That's less good. That's...
Okay, this is, this is... Johnny, you're not holding still! you need to be holding still but if you hold still and fast yes shotguns aren't always great in fast but let's see if we get lucky and get it correct
let's just keep holding the fire button and see how we do because not that fast it's head right off okay if we're lucky that's the last king
spot on we've made it to the hearty finish here the something of it from here, and all that was up in that king was one basic, so... Okay. Here's what we're gonna do. We are going to honor his wishes and destroy the heart.
Because while doing what the Trin-Linders say gets me their stuff, yeah, doing what Harold says gets me a perk, because I've been exposed to his mutation, and thus I'm now part Trin myself.
Specifically, that gives me 5% damage resistance, an extra 5 DR, which is pretty huge because we can thank that with a 3 DR off Pit, like they say, and then a 10 DR off Superior Defender if I'm standing still.
Yes, all of a sudden, I've got quite a bit of damage resistance under all circumstances, no matter what armour I'm wearing. so just a step back outside and go check in with my friend Harold here
the great one is dead, slain by your hand don't worry, I hold no grudge towards you you'll have to forgive my people at a time like this, outsider they aren't used to being so lost
and for once I don have the words to help them so luckily yes they not decided to murder me So if you set Howard on fire they do They decide that yes one step too far
So, officially, that's the way it is complete. However, before you leave, there's one, alas, very important thing to do. Seriously, this is so bloody easy to miss, but,
back over to sapling you. Hey, my second best friend in the whole wide world. And yet it did stop being you. Now I've killed your best friend in the whole wide world, any chance you've got a present for me?
Yeah, I think you're pretty swell for someone from Mount Baird. And you were really nice to me, too. I was going to give this to my best friend, Harold, but he doesn't have pockets, that silly head. This is a china my parents gave me for my fifth birthday.
It's really neat. Take it. So there we did it, though. I've now got to use their charm, permanently increasing my speech by an entire 10 points.
So yeah, you've got to pass a speech check, or pass a child at heart-point speech check, that's an alternative if you don't want to be rolling the dice on this one, then speak to her after the mission's complete.
That is the only way to get this charm. But if you do both those things, bloody hell, that's a lot of skill points. Sadly though, I suspect that speech skills look to be that much use to me in Operation Anchorage.
For the simple reason I won't have my great-men tattlet me, so with my charisma of lower the teams, yeah, we're not going to be able to do much with speech. However, Clark Skinner will be very useful, just that's bonus defense.
So, okay, let's move on to attack, because in Anchorage we're going to be using small guns and unfortunately that's basically my worst weapon skill right now
so we need to flipping fix that and the easiest way to do so is to go and get the small guns Bottlehead located in a military base somewhere around this bit of the world
the issue being, one, it's very bloody well defended by many robots and as we've seen many times Mr Guts is an absolute fucking nightmare to use the Steve But more importantly, yes, right by the small gun's bobblehead, there's a chance to pick
up a very special weapon. This game's unique variant of the Fat Man launcher, and while I can't take that into Operation Anchorage, while I pass you by, I do want to get it, so...
Okay, we're gonna do that, so... Getting that, however, involves picking up all five of the Keller family transcripts. Luckily, I've already been past a great many of them, and just sort of forgot to pick them up, so...
Right, quick fire round, why don't we just go and grab them? Because we've got one already, and the second isn't the greatest you're going on. I literally walked straight past it, and just forgot to pick it up.
And if we're very lucky, I was about to think the enemies won't have respawned, but no, the enemies have definitely respawned, unfortunately, so... Okay, so... Except for Razor, we'll bare minimum just stagger him if we can.
And a pure CR, that probably means a lot of other people are here as well. Oh, bloody, yes, yes, I understand there's lots of bloody Razors there. In fact, actually, hang on. There's... Yes, I think it's my own. Oh, OK, John.
John, John, John. Now might be a good time to get out the flitting Mauler. And also maybe just do like, you know, a little health pop-up. I probably should have, yeah, flashed over to something nearby,
but not quite right here to stop this exact thing from being staggered by all the bloody waves. Right, now they're talking exact, sure. So okay, the Reds who were here have respawned,
but the big ambush itself respawned. And also that's a bloody tape precisely, somewhere around here. Here we go, table right at the back, spawn on. So okay, there's number two,
or rather like three according to the discounting system. Okay, step the next, just north of Big Town there's a church. Yeah, probably the Murasty train yard is actually going to be closer. So, just head over there.
Yeah, locate it all. There's something in that direction. I guess we can just skirt around whatever that is, no need to cause trouble.
And there we go, church to the west of Spodagh. And I tell you what, so I can bloody see, let's just move time on to dawn. And as I was expecting, yeah, we're seeing super mutants, as church is a super mutant base.
Question is, how tough, basic, basic. The other one's not too basic for me, so all I'm going to say is, yeah, pop some medics, so I don't take much damage as I run down the hill screaming,
Then, yes, use the highly sophisticated technique of running straight at these guys and then cutting them apart with my giant chainsaw-y kind of thing. So, number one goes down, and excuse me, don't fucking run away, you could die too.
And yes, similar for an iteration, but if I could just use the trees and rocks for... I swear I had something else there for a second, but I think we're okay. Yeah, just run in a video and watch out for...
There is a trick in the background. Not just the other way around. What did you like? You know, I want a little dim pack here, John. Because you are rushing at a rate of two. One dim pack should support me to take the being out of damage.
Hopefully that was something else. It's part of the set. You lost your weapon anyway. And there is OD our mini gun person. So if he can just get right on top of you. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Okay! Wanna straight up fight with a minigun first then, lovely. And right, we'll bring you in just a second, but... Has someone got... I thought someone might have a grenade, excuse me, you can show my video, I'm sorry.
Right, leave a look in the form. There we go, a telephonic transcript, one a big book of science as well, better and better. So, par for that. Maybe release you, because I'm feeling as generous today as you've been, loser.
Take some... But you're the bastard medicine book today. Glad I saw that while I was tapping. So, take this out. Free you as... No. No, just... You're still in combat. I don't think I'm in combat.
Someone help me! I am trying, okay? For some reason I'm not allowed to. So hang on, I think this is going to appear out front. So right, just move forward with a free coverage and...
...three thousand free coverage. There we go, one free coverage. Thanks a lot. That should be marvelous, I can now save you. So there we go, I gain a 50 XP and some karma.
The stoop egg too, that's pretty bloody useful. Thank you, good sir. Anyway, step it out. Arifu, you may recall once upon a time, we most easily get westward from Arifo and reach the small village of Gould.
So we need to go back there, and then a little bit beyond it. So, highly conveniently on this occasion, all the locals seem to just be dealing with each other for me. You know, dogs are fighting blowflies, myologues are fighting ants, etc, etc.
So, OK, just ignore all of this nonsense. No need to cause trouble with anybody. As I was saying, start as you have. The abandoned village, where we picked up a plump little day's school, Welcome from about a fridge right there.
And just keep on moving westwards. Specifically, here we go. I'm looking for a lovely gas station, so the red rocket symbol gives it away.
So yeah, just pass by here. That's a friendly robot. That's fine. But yeah, this is just a waypoint. What I'm really after is the nearby rock formation. We're going to the top of that eclipse.
Thank you very much for spawning in Destination Cabin. Oh, what are for these super mutants to float around here, right? Right, though? Yeah, thank you, super mutants. Can't really do much to the mauler, so that's just fine.
And one more thing to check before I step inside. Okay, I am still neutral. Because, yes, this house will form bounty hunters or talent companies to attack you if you're either good or bad. So, yeah, be neutral before you come here.
So, here we go. Well right, inside we've got the next transcript of one of your quality mine Do not forget by the way, guns and bullets are right here hidden under a regular box
And as you can just see there, not so useful to me, but yeah Hidden inside a lovely wooden box here We've also got a copy of, hang on, box reveal your secrets please
There we go, dimple electronics My repair skill is never going to be relevant, but whatever, it's nice to have a skill book while I'm passing by. That one's really easy to master. Anyway, that's that four tape.
So, right, last one is taking us back to the centre of the city. Wilhelm's Law Holder was a starting point. Amazingly, those regulators who attacked me, yeah, like ten episodes ago,
the one to voice up is still here waiting for me. Oh, you know what, that's... Oh, he bloody blew my arm off. Oh, okay, you could just die now. Seriously, I'm not even a bad person anymore.
I'm neutral these days. Okay, once again, just wait till morning so I can actually bloody say. Okay, so follow the signs to the war memorial to get us over to the far side of the red light. And then we're looking for, yeah,
a supermuting camper that should be very nearby to where we are right now. I think that might be it with all those, yeah, broken down vehicles over there. Also hadn't considered this but yes it is rather appropriately passed by the Anchorage War Memorial
just before we should be going to Anchorage Just saying, I just... Oh yeah that's got to be it with the flipping centaurs floating around that's got to be my destination so I can just reach up to stand
that is... Okay, turns out there's a big flipping watery gap between me and the centaur so not quite as subtle as I was planning this to be but that's at 5 to 3
John they're doing a lot of bloody damage to you maybe do some medex John there might be another mini compartment in here somewhere so uh ok I was already addicted to flipping get out of the
Steve get out of the cocking water I was already addicted to booze as soon as that's fine get over to you stay away from you my friend get over here kill yourself
how lovely Now how many mutants are hanging out here next to you? I think this is my destination.
Right, let me see. One bit of red, that'll be positive. So, hello over there! No trouble, you just bring your blanket over to this direction. One more person to rescue. I'm going to be honest, I've rescued one person already today, so...
Yeah, I'm worried I might be becoming too morally good. Oh go on, you could be free as well. Okay, that has not got me to morally good, that's fine. The point is, there we go.
Transcript number five. Beautiful. So now we need to take these around the corner over here. Though I would like to start actually, yeah. So you vote 108.
There's one place I'd like to visit on the way. Here we go just heading south from 108 The nearest location is this big structure here and that should be the Corvanger Battery And bloody hell does this thing have a lot of good stuff in it And most importantly
as we just approach the exterior here, good stuff that's relatively easy to get your hands on, because this place has got a very serious ant infestation. And yes, ants are a fairly
low-tier anime to my mind. The fire ants, they're a bit nastier, absolutely. The regular ants are nowhere near as bad. So yeah, all we've got to do is step on and while we're outside here, pretty sure I need to locate, hang on, hang on, hang on, just pop onto the cliff and hop down from above.
Oh, slight issue by the way. Tram and company, Mark. I don't think you're really supposed to be here, but whatever. So, okay, hang on, just drop down, we'll deal with you later.
I guess we... Oh, bloody hell, that's a lot of rads. Sorry, that was more rads than I was expecting, John. It's full of rad barrels. What were you expecting, precisely? Okay, maybe just a quick little bit of looting.
More importantly, these guys thought they could science their way out of Dimes radiation. That could not be true. Just hop out of here, lovely. But yeah, just mosey back round to the front here, since we want to loot this facility.
Straight away you might hear some delightful scuffling. And right, this might explain a lot. While the tally company might have died, because they were trying to take this battery,
free war battery probably seemed like a good idea to them. So right, that does make a lot of sense. So hello there giant soldier. I'm just... John you can't snipe this weapon.
Sniping with this weapon does not work. So possibly I may have hit like, you know, one of their antennas. If I'm not mistaken. Because they're trying to attack each other for some reason. Now I will admit, these are somewhat large giant soldier ants.
So, uh, a lot more dangerous than what we've seen previously. so yeah they can't get up to me at all they're gonna have to make it through the moor
to actually do any damage which I'm trying to find the right tension to do so oh yeah, oh yeah just like that, there we go, oh dear it turns out they weren't really ready to be dealing with that monster
so, you're a worker you're a soldier the soldiers are a lot tougher I'll give them that They just took a lot more of a pounding, but yeah, that's not too difficult to deal with.
Anyway, straight upstairs we've got another big book of science, a writer on the second floor, and writer the front desk on the first floor, lying congressional style. So, yeah, two very important skill books there.
Next up, just a mosey through to the factory floor. The hell's a giant worker if we can take apart with lasers nicely? You know what? This is a certain example.
I feel like possibly. If I just hold still here. Oh yeah! You know what? This is working fine right up to the point where something comes up behind me. Nothing's coming up behind me right now so uh...
I'm having a great time today. Yeah. Metal Blaster plus my flipping lovely bonus damage per individual laser blast. when there's nine of them, that'll do.
I should stress by the way, I'm not just here for the skill balls. I'm also here because there are lots of ants here, and ants trots them a really bloody good stuff. And indeed, do ant queens.
This is, yes, one of the very few locations in the game where you can get an ant queen, to just take you out of the party, lovely. There's definitely supposed to be a queen in here somewhere.
Oh! He's come up on his own. Oh bloody hell. I think the log's telling me the gate just snuck up behind me. Well done Mr Steve. Okay as I was saying I just mosey round here trying to get snuck up on by the IT guys over
there. Take you guys out with a couple of medium range shots. they really struggle with these stairs and what not and right, I'm pretty sure I see the Queen!
somehow the Queen has stuck up on me don't know how you stuck up on me but oh, also watch out for her like, you know, attack because she's not nothing see if we can just stay hardly hidden round the
stay hidden round the corner John Queen's hit really bloody hard see if I can just like, hit her in the arse while being covered by not too pretty colours there we go right in the eye
bit of tiny bit of snook up on it here this is fine I'm sorry no John John John John John John John John Sin Pact John Sin Pact she does us pranks
she is the queen she's got this you know other aunt who do a bidding or something no way I could have predicted that so right lets finish those losers off and that yeah that's definitely her over there so
So, under the circumstances, I feel like this is an acceptable time for a nuke. That just failed to kill her.
I mean, she looks pretty still to me. I think I've just got her. Oh, yes, she's definitely dead. That was a well-placed nuke. But, yes, she comes with an ant-print pheromone.
Again, there's a very small number of these in the game. and charisma plus three is no bloody joke. At one point in the future, when I've decided I want to pass the, you know, biggest, toughest speech checks in the game and whatnot,
that's going to be very bloody useful. But what's worse, you see, is that, yeah, a copy of a Dean's Electronics right there at the back of Beyond Where the Queen Was. So, keep on keeping on. We've got more to grab around here, yeah.
Cut the next, just gently, yeah, back on the road and head southwards. Jagger head away. He won a lovely row of pots.
Just literally blast his head off though. There's someone else head-to. So luckily whoever it is, they're hiding behind the truck. So yeah, I can use this to cover.
Then there's a telling company moat. Sure. So right, here's a blast. You, a silly fortune-teller. Oh, yeah, yeah, go. You just, damn accidently caught that much of an issue at all.
But yeah, this could get me a lovely flame-throw-up fork. Better and better. So... OK, that's just the basic razor. That's not...
Thought there was someone taking on that razor, but no, no, no. Excuse me. None of that, please. I've got a mega shotgun these days. The point is, that's one skill box. But yeah, there's a personal locker right here.
Very hard locked. However, somewhere around here, there's a key. It's just a really bloody well hidden and theoretically can fall through the universe. So, hang about.
Mr. Skeleton Friend. Once again, there's a box here. But if you just lift up the box, thanks. Yes, ma'am. Hang on. Hang on. And he...
The key was there for a second. We all saw the key was there for a second. It's supposed to go... Hang on, hang on. Came back. Okay, the key sort of glitches in and out of the ground occasionally.
But, you know, you can get it most of the time. And that opens up the thingy here. For operators love hiding things underneath a box, though. To really reward you literally pulling everything out and interacting with the world and whatnot.
This is important because, yeah, that's a Chinese tech-off training manual. which is one, useful, and two, also kind of a fun bit of storytelling. Which is, yeah, the fact that this driver was hiding away a Chinese box manual in the back of his hand,
suggests to me that skeleton was a Chinese agent. There's so much in Fallout 3 that strongly implies that around the DC area, yeah, America had been extremely well infiltrated before the war.
So, just do those books nice and quick, and at this point we should be able to hand a quite foul but yeah, foul to each should do the job nicely and here we go, we start approaching the edge of the DC ruins once again
we should be almost at my destination there are sometimes some raiders in these ruins, they look pretty chill to me today though
and I should say I deserve things to be of this show up as we move in this direction because we're going towards what is this the National Armory or National Guard Barracks or something hang on hang on National Guard Depot that's the one
this place is a bloody nightmare I'm pretty sure the nightmare starts before we even get inside I'm pretty sure there's horror novels around here somewhere
So yeah, we'll need to deal with that before we even step inside Can we get these gates open by the way? Good, good, good, good, we can Now, of course, I've got some cover
I just have a bit of a loopsy round here I think we'll see I'm not in a good position to do much
from a waste ammo basically it feels like a pretty bloody big waste of ammo so... ok lets take a few out by the way right thats one dead and I'm basically out of ammo
just...just...just...just...just...just maybe yes the metal blaster was fine actually John so right move and stop fire we can dangle you that would be great
there we go could have sworn they were Tauros. Maybe they're inside I don't know. But yeah, this area is big and amazing and complicated and I don't like it. I'm going to drink some Nuka Cola
before we go in. Honestly I'm just straight up tempted to pop a stealth oil or two and run to the end. Which is based on what we've seen previously. We're probably looking at
Protektrons and Mr. Gutsy's and Mr. Gutsy's are not fun. Yeah, this place is a real bloody maze to navigate. And again, corridors, John.
Corridors means corners, meaning you can get up to the enemy relatively easily, meaning, well, also gas leaks. Gas leaks are bad too, so, yeah, under the circumstances.
Maybe just a major, yeah. getting up to the enemy and no no no no no yeah, Maul is going to be just Maul is going to be very good so, the issue however is people who get a chance at me I want to go where they bloody are
because they could be above or below you start at the basement and work out from there so work across the language of the throat we got lucky with your accuracy good good good good almost dead already, oh no
that would be the turret then Where are the cocking of pirates? Where are the cocking of Ryderbian Robo-brains? Oh we off to a flying start Don do the drugs Just do literally all the drugs and we can have fixed up yet Like you know problems as a result of drugs later That fine
Maybe not. Okay. Fire at length or at length, it feels a bit overkill under the circumstances. The jet, med-ax, men-tac, everything. That's all fine. But you know what? Let's do that
semi-armorification. That is A-OK, John. That's a cupboard. You're currently storming a cupboard. So I just eyes open. So I've done all the drugs in the world and all of a sudden I can't find any bloody enemies. Amazing. Well done John.
Well there's supposed to be fucking enemies in here somewhere. So I literally saw a robo brain two seconds ago possibly I imagined if you could.
All the drugs are going to wear off and I'm not going to have found a single enemy ammo. Screw it. Get back downstairs, because the turret do need to go down, that's true. You're taking the pressure to aim at me, so...
There's some bad hits there. There's another one. There might be another... No, I think I've taken out that. So right, make sure the cell's down bottom. Which is good, if only because that means I can arrest without wasting its impacts, potentially, going forward.
Seriously, this place is a bloody maze to navigate. Okay, just loop around on the second floor. This feels about right, so... Oh, dear. Marks three turrets at fairly extreme range,
which I don't love, so... I said I knew it was relatively low. There's another one there, isn't there? Yeah, there's two. Turrets. Not great, but yeah.
the thread on this old girl is... not bad but I've run out of ammo for it immediately and I sort of wasted all the ammo for you outside
so, oh, we're off to a great start here right, let's just go through every gun one by one as I run out of ammo for all of them sooner or later, there we go, that's you gone
protectron and go, stop, aim go Bloody Robo Brain is looking dead by the way, it's around here somewhere. I've got, you know, enough to keep the blaster going for now.
Pro-control system, great game. Oh, see you buddy, I see you. All right, one, two, three, four, five. Okay, that's good. We'll make it progress at least, we're moving in the right direction now.
So yes, great cast of the Robo Brain. Cast the vending machines, we'll drink that Nuka Cola too, which is seriously we could probably do with it actually I'll go down too
good training winger I say George this is why things get even nastier but at least we're actually making progress and we've kind of out of the maze now right keep on keeping on just get this oh bloody hell yep it's done before the track 3 starts firing
and if I can hit you while you're trying to get round the corner George just oh seriously tanky tanky bastard that was a crit at the end just keep it good There's average lots of terminals everywhere around here.
Doesn't really help me much, because once again, science is a bit of a work in progress for me. But okay, just eyes open, get to the high ground, check the turrets, because the turrets are important.
And also everywhere. The apple's going to get past the shooting gallery next, that is fine. it's so fun at the beauty gallery, including giving you a sniper rifle so you can use that if you want to
that's just delightful, not the best bet for me though, move fire, move fire if we can stagger you a bit, keep on keeping on, no trouble protect front round if that's something you load up
wait, hold right now, continue in it, bring your suit, and I'll delay, such a fun area there It's a nightmare of a dungeon, but it is beautifully designed. Anyway, once you're done with the shooting gallery,
yeah, you're close to done at that point. You've just got one more big area to deal with. There's a big and nasty office to blast through. I see you over there, my friend.
So, yeah, just stay down. Let's use the offices to cover. I just need to take out the last of you robots and also the last of you turrets.
Sorry, you didn't realise you were still dealing with a turret. That's fine, I'm leaving a pretty good spot to... OK, the spread is getting a little bit... Actually, you know what, I think I'm hitting the robot by mistake over the turret.
But you know what, that kind of works for me. Oh, and all the way past, by the way, Duncan's cover in this area. I swear there's another book around here somewhere but I think it's not a particularly good one
so I guess I'd rather just get in and out because this place is an absolute cocky no-smash. So yeah, just a little loop around here. Oh fuck me! Oh no! No! No! Oh bloody...
Well, it finally happened. The game finally said, screw you, I don't care what level you are, you're taking on a sentry bot now. So I'm going to say, probably time that we crack out the big gun
and also redo the drugs. I'm pretty sure the drugs are wore off already. Okay, I'm now addicted to everything. That's the spice. All this dude really is is a pain up a little bit. And that should be... Oh, yeah!
That'll take care of you, you stupid bastard. This is why we carry round the fat man a droll circumstance. So, yeah, the moment the game decides I've had enough of your useless fever, this time you don't get to defeat Go-Pass
I get to say it actually you know what I do because I brought the world's biggest gun and speaking of the world's biggest gun doing this lets me access
well I was about to say the ultimate secret mega bunker down bottom but it also definitely is a turd it would be gutsy down there ok John
you've got pulse grenades maybe consider using them because the ICU ICU down there buddy, just hold some more grenades down there please more grenades are for you you stupid loser
so this is what they're called John, this is why pulse weaponry exists in this game maybe consider using atomic anger, though it can be a bit on the unpredictable side like I think at that point you got like you know, Bait by a pillar or something
okay, that's you dead And yes, through the newly opened back area here, we can now get down to the Mega Bunker. And the armoury is fun, even before you get into the mega gun I'm really here for.
Because yes, you have got flipping grenades, you've got more ammo than you'll know what to do with, you've got all sorts of recipes, including, oh, delicious, delicious medicine.
Go on. Steps the next, here we go. There we go. My primary objective is the small guns Bobble has. My gun skill is still not spectacular, at least those not actively terrible.
And thanks to picking up those Keller family transcript logs, I've got the code to get to the very end of the bomb car. Now I could go in, just get up the flipping mauler big car.
Yeah, would you believe it was a happy ending for the calabash. The young kind of, you know, turned into ghouls, or at least one of them did, then he presumably ate all the other ones. So, bit of a shame for you to be honest, yes.
That gets me, you know, one more steelbook, lifting up all the drugs they're wearing off, that's fine, all the mini-noobs in the world, and the experimental Batman-avarium,
which I am 100% repairing with Odia. I can't repair with my fat man because my repair skill is not good enough so I'm going to have to taste a bit. Okay, did you guys by any chance bring any foods down here?
Because I really bloody need some foods to actually get my strength up a bit all of a sudden. They did not. Bloody youth loss. Okay, if I dropped some basic business pieces that they'd do buff out
I could just make it out of here So I can get my way to like a trader in a hurry So ok, just get outside and then yeah Fast travel away to, oh bloody hell where's the good trader gonna be
And that's all what's his face, Wolfgang of Rivet City But he's probably not gonna be there anymore But it is relatively nearby so Ok, give it a go just in case
Okay, today not only is he not here, literally nobody is here. And there comes fast travel over at Cumberbys, so I'm spending a buff out every time just to move.
So, okay, roll the dice, he might be at Megaton. Hopefully somebody is at Megaton, so... Well this is just bloody ridiculous, Sean.
Okay, you're not always after, but any trader outside of town tends to have at least a decent enough repair scale. Oh. Okay, he's got a repair scale of 20, which is the same as mine, by the way, and even so it's going to cost him 1,600 caps to repair this thing, so...
You know what, let's just put this away and come back to that later. So yes, for those of you who have never seen this thing before, I've just dropped the saying because what I'm about to do is incredibly bloody wasteful. So yes, the nice thing about this weapon is that when you fire it, you don't just fire one nuke.
Instead, you fire basically all of them under most circumstances. So, yeah, basically it's just a ridiculous amount of carpet bombing. I don't know if there's ever going to be a scenario where this thing is the sensible writing to utilise
and I'd like to have it with me, just in case. As I say though, I should be reloading to the universe where I didn't just do that, because, yeah, 8 billion uterus is a lot of bloody weight.
And also, yeah, this position just picked up a bit of a routine for me when I get back from adventuring. The SDV Joker happened again. I'm taking food out of the mouths of some poor dealer's kids right now, you know.
I love culture, it's just the best. Still, I would say that my final preparations are complete, how about we call it a pump-stab, but next time, look, hang on, we're going in, because the entrance to Operation Anchorage
is actually barely round the corner, just south of Megatarm, and seriously, with this hellbounding staff, I don't know how well we're going to deal with this, this could potentially go very, very bloody wrong indeed.
So yeah, as I say, next episode we'll walk you into the complete cookie night in Ebony's Operation Anchorage, so hopefully you join me, but that's a bit of a meantime. I've been John, this has been Mayor True Nerd, and this has been a Fallout 3's or Worst
Wanderer. Thank you very much, and goodbye. If we just hide the bodies, nobody needs to know about this. Yes, my stupid, stupid plan has worked.
It turns out I'm a genius! The giant man's torpedoes are not gone! Oh, hang on, there's more yet, though I'm still being very shocked. Guys, where's the NCR? Nobody needs to know.
