[00:01] show still has one very big question at its center. Who is the client that hired to go through every possible theory and give you my best guess, and it sets up back, Screen Crush. I'm Ryan Ary, and we're going to discuss all of the [00:16] evidence in the client scenes, trailer footage, and comics, and also weigh the various popular theories and add in some of our own. Along the way, I think we can identify who this character might be behind this menacing voice. So, first [00:28] we have about the client. In their first appearance, they were able to hack into Paladin and his handler's communication, and they also have worldwide satellite confrontations. The handler mentions that they're using Sword encryption, and [00:42] Paladin assumes that that means that the client is a government agent, probably regain White Vision. After all, they're the ones who originally created him. Vision, the very first show in this trilogy of series. It stands to reason [00:56] villains, but I don't know. This feels too simple, right? If the antagonist was an anonymous sword agent, it wouldn't be any kind of reveal. The fact that possibility also makes it less likely. >> Could be sword. When they [music] [01:10] weapon. Now they want it back. of these shows has set up a mystery only to have it be an anti-reveal. I know an aerospace engineer who'd be up for this challenge. [01:23] >> But these shows have probably learned from their own mistakes. So, we're oomph behind [clears throat] it, you know. So, there is a possibility that the villain could be director Hayward from Wanda Vision. He antagonized Wanda [01:35] and tried to kill her family, but was stopped by Monica Rambo. Because of Darcy and Jimmy Woo, he ended up being arrested by the FBI. So, it's possible this series, aiming to reclaim vision as a weapon to fight against those who [01:48] possibility. We're going to get into a lot more. Next, the client tells Paladin, "We said you were the best." >> Now, this implies some sort of connection to the underworld that Paladin comes from. They also state, [02:01] Vision intact." >> So, whoever the client is, they don't necessarily want Vision dead. From Ultron, we find out that there was a contract put on Vision's head on the dark web. a sizable bounty on Vision's [02:14] >> Now, the obvious solution is that it's Ultron who's behind all of this. He's already denied it. >> Someone out there, no, not me. >> But it's not like he hasn't lied before. He could want to capture Vision intact [02:27] like he does at the end of episode 4. But there's also some points against this. Ultron leaked Vision's location to Paladin via a carrier pigeon >> or an email as they're referred to outside of this bizarre construct. [02:42] include that information in the initial contract if he was the one who took out have limited power inside Vision's mindscape without Vision giving him discovered that Ultron was behind the bounty hunter, he could easily wipe him [02:57] from existence. Then again, Ultron isn't exactly opposed to living life on the edge. After all, in the very scene where he admits pointing Paladin in their survival." >> Now, this series is not afraid to show [03:10] it's in the hands of the wrong people. AIs like this don't exist in the real world. Well, that's not exactly true. on the internet who can use AI and other scams to trick you and steal your [03:24] shoot lasers, but they can do plenty of damage. All right. Cheers. You won't regret it. This is one of my favorite services that we offer 3, the butcher bird killer attacks person who hired him. She tries to read his mind, but he protects himself. So, [05:09] we only get a few flashes. It's unclear if these are flashes from his past or if he knows anything about the client himself, but let's go through them to see if we can gleam any clues from these memories. The clearest memory is a last [05:21] silver gun at a bedside. Now, this could be Paladin's father or adopted father, their fingers. If this is the client, it seems to be a hint that they're a and someone who would need a gun. This also brings us to another possible [05:37] suspect, Baron Zemo. The last time we saw him, he was being arrested by the Winter Soldier for his murder of their former king Tachaka. Now, there are two One, the silver gun and the connection to Madraore. In Civil War, we see Zemo [05:52] holding a silver gun. No rings, but who knows how his fashion sense may have him as a prisoner of Wakanda. Second, in his last appearance, we saw Zemo take Bucky and Sam to Majapore, the fictional [06:04] crimeridden country that is the home of many figures in this world's underbelly. been confirmed to take place in Madraore. Zemo has a lot of criminal connections and is extremely wealthy. So, hiring a bounty hunter to go after [06:17] the vision is entirely within his abilities. But what would be his motive? Zemo has a famous hatred of superhumans. >> Desire to become a superhuman cannot be separated from supremacist ideals. >> The vision was created by the Avengers [06:30] and Ultron, has many superpowered abilities and was partially responsible risk in Westview. And these are all things that might make Zemo want to target him. It's also still interesting that the MCU chose not to feature Zemo [06:43] that he was the founder of the team in the comics. Zemo is a much more prominent villain than Red Guardian, Taskmaster, or Ghost. So, it's the film. We were even convinced that he was going to be a surprise addition to [06:56] the cast, but that wasn't the case. So, maybe instead they've been saving Zemo for something else, something like this show that could directly lead into the character from Falcon of the Winter Soldier that we would prefer over Zemo. [07:09] That's right, the Power Broker aka Sharon Carter. Now, Sharon is one of the MCU's biggest loose ends at the moment. In Civil War, she gave up her career to help Cap and his team. In return, she received nothing, so she ended up [07:21] retreating to Mador to pursue a life of crime. She's turned on the idea of doing good for the sake of good since all it's done over the years is burn her. figure called the power broker, buying and selling artifacts and powerful [07:34] haven't seen Sharon since the end of Falcon the Winter Soldier when she took she placed a phone call all but confirming she is the power broker. soldiers might be off the menu, but we're about to have full access to [07:49] you name it. >> So, even though she was reinstated by returned to Majapur to continue her criminal activities. She has both could lead to her being able to use the sword encryption to hack the handler, as [08:04] market. And why would Sharon want vision? Well, to sell his powers as a weapon on the black market, for one, but for another, she's still holding a lot War. Maybe she also blames the Vision for what happened to her. Wanda was one [08:18] Civil War, and Cap helped Wanda and peace. Sharon might be angry that they didn't help her do the same. Now, let's theories for a moment and talk about some reaches. Justin Hammer, Ezekiel [08:32] Stain, the Wakandons, or even something crazier. Now, Justin Hammer, who we right, technically we did see him in the All Held the King one shot, but that's beside the point. He was imprisoned for his crimes in that movie. He may seem [08:44] actually was mentioned in episode 1 of that Vision is reading. Hammer was a tech billionaire much in line with Stark he could have been involved in AI development, especially now that we [08:58] his initial AI model. Hammer could have bought the very same model and been in competition with Stark Industries over these developments. Maybe now Hammer is what the headline in the newspaper was about, and is aiming to get back in the [09:11] tech race. If he captures vision and studies him, he can produce AI tech that would put Hammer Industries back on top. Next, we have Ezekiel Stain from the show Iron Hart. Now, Stain wasn't quite a hero or a villain in that show. He's [09:23] Iron Man movie and didn't want to be anything like his dad. be nothing like him. >> Zeke and Riri Williams became friends, but she ended up accidentally getting him in prison for his illegal tech. [09:37] scene has been traced back to [music] Ezekiel Stain. >> He then turned against her and joined up with the Hood and he used his tech to Instead of helping him though, the Hood used the biotech to control Zeke. Riri [09:51] free of the control, but he still hasn't forgiven her for ruining his life. If Zeke is going to be a larger part of the MCU moving forward, perhaps his hunt for biotech. Maybe he wants to study Vision's technology or get his help to [10:05] remove the bionics that he now knows could control him. It's also possible that he could want Vision for a more sinister reason if Iron Hart has pushed with both Justin Hammer and Zeke Stain, it would also be cool to have a villain [10:18] Now, none of this would exist if it helped create. So, it would be fitting for his enemies to also be a part of this legacy. On another note, we can't talk about vibranium weapons without [10:31] thinking about Wakanda. Wakanda has been territorial of their tech in the past, and Vision is the embodiment of a walking vibranium weapon. Not only could contentious, but vision could easily turn against the Wakandas, especially [10:44] between the US and Wakanda. >> I am deeply disappointed in Wakanda's >> I am deeply disappointed in Wakanda's failure to share resources concerning >> It might not even be for bad reasons. The Wakandons might simply want to meet [10:58] before he can be turned against them. Next, we have a wildcard theory. It could be Jim Hammond, or as this show calls him, Jim, the synthetic man. Now, when this AI was first turned on, he lit on fire, and this was the original Human [11:11] Torch who debuted in Marvel Comics issue 1. The character was a big success, and he would go on to star in many stories, including fighting Nazis with Captain America. It was originally cannon to the comics that Vision was built out of the [11:23] Now, this show has gone out of its way to mention Jim multiple times, and it oldest version of this technology form. In this universe, we've heard that Jim was deactivated because his [11:37] processors couldn't handle complex emotions. Vision was only immune to that >> Another worldly power source [music] that helped him navigate the complexities of the mind and the heart. >> Maybe this isn't all to Jim's story. The [11:49] museum exhibit only has pieces of the robot's original body, one arm and one leg. Perhaps Jim never died, but instead has existed in torment, halfbroken all this time. He could be searching for vision to take his power source and heal [12:02] his broken body and mind. This would be a sympathetic villain who has a valid be willing to do anything to save himself. This would also be an AI who hates humans because of the torture his existence has subjected him to. And [12:16] have to choose humanity once and for all. But we've saved the most popular theory for last. In the end, the most widely discussed possibility is that the mysterious client is in fact Billy and Agatha. Now, we last saw the two of them [12:29] in the finale of Agatha All along. Billy is Tommy's resurrected twin, born into a boy who was in a car crash just outside of Westview. He awakened to his own magical powers in Agatha, which is a parallel to Tommy discovering his powers [12:41] in this show. In the finale of Agatha, she sacrificed herself to save Billy from death. But she's still around as a ghost. So, it's possible that the client to guide him. He might be looking for his father just like Tommy was and chose [12:54] a shady way to track him down. Agatha, after all, was a villain, so it wouldn't down a more sinister path. People have also spotted a possible connection in episode one of this show. While Tommy is [13:06] figure twice in the background. And this looks remarkably like Billy. Maybe Billy is tracking Paladin and discover Tommy at the same time as the bounty hunter. And of course, Tommy's actor, Bury Mica, has confirmed that he has shot scenes [13:19] with Joe Lock, the actor who plays Billy. This guy is really shaping up to Holland. Now, if we combine the possible appearance of Billy in episode 1 with this known cameo, we know that Billy and Agatha are involved in the show in some [13:32] this theory is that the showrunner himself, Terry Mattalus, has openly said with New Rock Stars. >> There's some time before you need to not Billy. >> Now, while this could always be a [13:46] >> I heard about it and I did see it and it's a photoshop. >> It seems like Mattalus is trying to dissuade viewers from this theory. He's also said that the cameo in episode one is just an extra. Still, Billy is [13:58] point, which leads us to an even more wild possibility. What if some of the events of the show aren't even real? Wanda Vision and Agatha all along both featured a reveal towards the end of the show. Some or all of the setting had [14:11] been a fake reality. Westview was being forced into a sitcom reality by Wanda, and Billy had created The Witch's Road using those same powers. Maybe Billy is shaping some of the events we're seeing on screen for some unknown purpose. [14:23] and brother. Now, I don't think he could be faking anything we're seeing in mental simulation, and because I think the fake world on top of fake world stuff with Paladin, the handler, and Butcher Bird, maybe it all isn't quite [14:37] as it seems. Now, the Billy theory is popular, but probably not that likely. He'll be tracking Tommy with magic and not through like back channel black markets with technology. So, let's run through a few other possibilities, [14:49] setting up to be the true big Bat of the Mutant saga, and maybe a few here's one that is near and dear to my heart that would tie in with Justin Hammer. This could be Roadie. Armor Wars was announced years ago, first as a [15:02] be about James Rhodess making sure that Tony's tech did not end up in the wrong hands. But the project has been even less further along than the canceled Cheetel actually said, >> "What's what's armor?" Now, I would love [15:15] to see Rodie be the client because technically The Vision is a piece of Tony's tech. Rodie doesn't have the technical know-how to hunt him down on employing some back channels, especially since the government channels like Sword [15:28] have their own agendas. But, let's face it, the client's a little too shady to be roadie. So, I'm willing to let this theory go. But so far, we have only been let's think big. The client could be from space. The Vision is a sentient [15:41] weapon made from an infinity stone and vibranium. So, I could definitely see an extraterrestrial race wanting to get their hands on him. So, why wouldn't the Dude, have you seen what happens to aliens after they invade Earth? After [15:54] Avengers Endgame, the universe knows that Earth is an Avengers world and not to be messed with. Hell, Captain Marvel told the CRE hands off way back in the 1990s. So, I think now one likely culprit is the CRE Empire. Carol [16:07] That's the collective knowledge of their greatest thinkers that led their society. And then this left the Cre Empire in shambles. So now they're trying to rebuild their dominion over space. A supercomputer like the Vision [16:19] could replace the Supreme Intelligence while also making them invincible on the that tie to the mutant saga, it could be the Failins. Did you say what now? So comics. They're a race of sentient machines that assimilate organic life [16:33] Trek's the Borg. And Vision Quest showrunner Terry Malus used the Borg as the main villains of Bicard season 3. This could be a key tie-in to the mutant saga that sets up the X-Men to face galactic threats and not just human [16:46] threat we did not name was Dr. Doom. And wanted Vision, he would just take him. I do think that Wanda Maximoff is he is manipulating her just like in the comic book Young Avengers: The [16:59] that he would want the Vision as far away from Wanda as possible. And this brings me to the most likely suspect, damage control. Their fingerprints are already on this show. Paladin is using drones seized by damage control. In [17:12] that they're reappropriating all the weapons that they can use. They also brainwash the hand into obeying their orders and have also been kidnapping and torturing mutants. Now, we theorize that [17:25] technology to create the mutant control collars, and they would use C Starkbots to create the Sentinels. And the vision fits right into this plan. He is both a they want to use. They saw how another agency, Sword, was able to reprogram [17:39] him. So, Damage Control feels that they could probably do the same thing, but into the new X-Men film. Now, we know that Adam Driver is playing the and we have theorized that William Mezer could be Sinister in disguise. After [17:53] all, they both have a keen interest in Jean's powers and genetics, and Sinister could be literally anyone in the MCU right now. And a lot of episode 4 talked about the evolution of mankind into a machine. and Sinister would want to [18:07] study and redirect that evolution to make mutants the supreme power on Earth. shout out to Harriet Lingalin who wrote this video.
