# Artist FAKED Procreate With AI

> Source: [Artist FAKED Procreate With AI](https://youtube.com/watch?v=vyOOxSVh-bk)

## Summary

This video analyzes a Roblox drama that begins with an art commission scam and escalates into accusations of AI-generated artwork and fake Procreate screenshots. The creator dissects the evidence, including speed paints, art inconsistencies, and software iconography, while urging viewers not to harass those involved.

### Key Points

- **Initial Scam Report** [00:00] — A user named Davina reports being scammed out of 500k Royal High diamonds by an artist who went by 'Eli' and later changed their username to 'Cheers'. The artist stopped responding after receiving payment.
- **Cross-Trading Rules** [01:40] — Royal High did not side with Davina because cross-trading (trading in-game items for out-of-game services like art) is against their rules, making all trades final. This highlights a common issue in virtual economies.
- **Community Support and Suspicion** [02:56] — Another creator offers free art to Davina as a supportive gesture. However, commenters quickly become suspicious of the artwork's authenticity, noting inconsistencies and oddities in the drawing process.
- **Tracing Accusations** [04:40] — A side-by-side comparison reveals the hands in the free artwork match a previous piece. The artist admits to tracing their own work, which is generally acceptable, but it fuels further skepticism.
- **AI Allegations** [05:21] — Commenters point out multiple inconsistencies in the artwork, such as odd pearl shapes, asymmetrical details, and inconsistent rendering, leading to claims that the piece is AI-generated.
- **AI Checker and Artist Response** [07:27] — An AI checker flags the artwork as 99% likely AI-generated. The artist responds on Twitter, denying AI use, sharing a time-lapse, and emphasizing the artwork was free, but many remain unconvinced.
- **Fake Procreate Icons** [11:08] — The most damning evidence: the Procreate interface icons in the artist's screenshots are incorrect. The creator compares them to real Procreate icons, showing clear discrepancies, suggesting the screenshots were AI-generated.
- **Viral Exposure and Final Thoughts** [12:21] — A quote retweet with 35,000 likes and 1.7 million views highlights the sketch as a 'dead giveaway' of AI use. The creator concludes by urging viewers not to harass anyone and to avoid using AI to fake creative work.

### Conclusion

The video concludes that the artist likely used AI to generate the artwork and faked the Procreate interface, undermining trust in the creative community. The creator emphasizes the importance of honesty in art and the dangers of online harassment.

## Transcript

it arts and scammer drama and then evolved into a whole different drama with art tracing allegedly. So, let's delve into this whole situation because don't send hate to any parties involved. So, this all kicks off with a post made
by user Davina writing Royal High artist gamer, which is like a Roblox game. They took my 500k Royal High diamond and ran. More info with proof. And yep, they even changed their TikTok user to cheers. The account apparently was named Eli, now it
March 22nd, I reach out to inquire about a commission in which they replied to within 24 hours. They look very enthusiastic. They're kind of going back March 25th, they sent a sketch and I paid. Trade video attached. And we can
paid. Trade video attached. And we can see here the trade happened for 500k. It updates but never received anything other than words on TikTok. Then they posted this now deleted video. So, they add, "Hey everyone, TikTok is bugging
most of my clients." They add their extra socials. They added the person on Discord. Now, April May, they received no updates and then later they got a very lacking. This was the work in
progress, which I do completely agree. This could probably be put together in communications where it goes through April into May and the work in progress was sent in May. And then towards May, they're just being ignored. They ask for
sure how long, maybe a couple weeks." were asked for updates and then they had no updates. They got ghosted and the their username. And they're upset because that 500k they paid from their
on. And they were really upset about that, which is completely fair and valid. It's so fair to be really upset. You had this money you worked really scammed it from you. And while contacting Royal High, Royal High did
not side in their favor due to the fact that they cross traded and that was not allowed. As in trading things in game like diamonds or accessories for things outside of the game like Roblox real money or in this case Royal High
diamonds for artwork. Which also on a side note another person adds that that was actually against the Royal High rules because it says cross trading is not allowed, but it highlights art commissions are okay. And somebody else
resolved, it was just a miscommunication. So thankfully at least it was resolved. And this was the update Davina added from Royal High where they know, when you participate in trading for stuff outside the game like artwork
etc. It can't be secured within the game system. So all accepted trades are final. So unfortunately they can't reverse it." But that Davina wasn't some people were saying, "Hey, this is a bannable offense if you use, you know,
outside of the game." All of that seems to be a done deal with somebody involving an artist that disappeared off TikTok and wiped their page. Except this. And again, don't send hate, don't bully anybody, don't do that. Another
person steps in. And OP says, "Glad your situation has been resolved. Since you didn't end up getting a profile photo, here is a skeb. Feel free to use it however, no credits needed." Because after this happened a lot of people were
really sweet. This was the artwork that was made and they had signed off with their autograph etc. Now people in the comments felt a little suspicious. A you draw this yourself though? It looks kind of AI because there's some random
Just asking out of curiosity though." Smiley face. And then OP says, "Just a messy skeb lol." and they attach a speed paint. So this is the speed paint that they attached. And okay, I truly want to believe this is a legitimate artist. I
truly truly truly truly truly do. I'm not sure what these jaw circles are. art process just let me know, you know, because I don't do this and I haven't ignorant on this which is definitely possible. They're doing like a rough
seen anybody block their head in such a for the skull, which is like standard, and then they draw one smaller circle for the jaw and two smaller circles next to that for the the the curvature of the
cheek, I suppose. But then they frame around that. Then they draw in a really blocky neck, shoulder, and chest situation. Hey, we all start somewhere. look at my messy sketches. My early sketches are all scuffed. Then they
do a little bit of blue for the hair detailing, and then they go in with the line work. They do a thing where they draw like half the piece and they mirror artists, you know, work smarter, not harder. And then they sketch in the rest
of the piece. So, this was the final sketch in the speed paint, which is not commenter says, "Do you have maybe the full speed paint because the outcome looks so different, it confuses me?" So, somebody else showed a side-by-side of
the hands, being like, "What is going on here?" And it is the exact same hands as a different art piece. And OP says, "I traced the artwork I did for a YouTube minute." Some people in the comments were like, "Oh, this is proof that
trace your own work. That is completely fine. Nothing wrong with that. That's people's work. You can't trace work that doesn't belong to you. But if it's your trace it. Do whatever you want with it. That's your piece. And this is the art
piece in question with the hands that were traced. And it has, you know, really similar hair. But again, like I'm saying, you are allowed to trace your posted this training. Can't reply or quote because but isn't this AI? Another
that good at sketching is posting about wanting commissions and making YouTube videos, but doesn't post more art other than this. There's so many instances of not being consistently used elsewhere. Plus, it looks like the arm pearls on
the left, the character's right, merge into the wrist ones. Some stuff I can lot of inconsistencies with the coloring that really confused me as an artist." says, "I'm leaning towards yes. It looks weird in some parts, especially the
some pearls. These are just interesting cuz here we have pearls, like circular pearls that look right. These ones, they kind of become like shells, like conch shells. And then these ones look really different. It's like a wobbly rope. So
it was mirrored. And like here we have these ones where we have circle circle circle connect. This looks like a dumbbell for the pearls. Another person said, "She does realize she's advertised region in the past, right?" what her art
she even humor this? Well, these are apparently allegedly their artwork. Yeah, I mean, the style looks different. But they can draw. So, you know, there is like some plausible deniability here. Another person adds, "Okay, fine. Here's
my art nitpicks. I'm like 95% sure it's AI." Then they circle elements of the art piece. The crown piece not being connected to the back, highlighting an the canvas. Maybe it's like an accident where you put your hand on the canvas,
inconsistent rendering style with the hair, that there's like a green shadow in part of the ear, but only in one ear. I find that interesting because from what it looks like, they work with like a mirroring art style. So, that means
close to symmetrical. You know, the upper arm cuff jewelry connecting to the wrist jewelry. The diamond in the middle and kind of other elements. A lot of these on first glance, you know, to give some benefit of doubt, you would be
hand touch the canvas. This one could be, you know, they wanted to add a shading. So they used some green to add some extra depth, right? Maybe these sketch, they tried drawing it kind of quickly to give plausible deniability to
everything. Another person put it into an AI checker, and it flagged as 99% likely AI generated. But these can be wrong. The person who made the art piece went on Twitter and made a big post. I logged on today to see the absolute
section after posting a free, emphasis on free, artwork for somebody who was scammed. I want to add, even if it's free or not free, if you made free artwork for somebody, but you generated it with AI, that's still not cool,
right? Like, if I give you a sandwich, but I know you're allergic to peanuts it's a free sandwich. Doesn't mean that that's that's okay, right? That's that's analogy, but you know what I mean. We continue. I take the skepticism as a
compliment. However, there's many people who have used this as an opportunity to sense or allowing me the time to even post a time-lapse. I check Twitter skeptical, especially about the sketching or design process, I've
here. I appreciate the concern, but want to emphasize I hire artists, am an artist, and would not use AI in my own work. I'm aware no matter how much lie, make fake screenshots, and spread narratives. Not to worry. I'll be
in the background of my commentary, because I do a commentary channel. For accept your apologies in the comments feel free to check my YouTube in the coming days as I begin posting my
workflow time-lapses and sketches in my videos. People weren't fully buying it sure that's the same drawing. From the missing stars, hands not touching, not to mention again, the Venus character is missing assets." No offense, this isn't
made something for free doesn't mean much, so not sure about the emphasis. pieces. And then OP says, "Respectfully, literally have nothing to gain from making a fake speed paint or using AI.
Hence my emphasis on it being free. Literally nothing to gain, lmao. Another started out with hearts in your beginning sketch for the halo, why did accusatory, but just asking." People are calling this AI because of key
crown sketch where, you know, there's a heart icon here. And then it was a star. make the heart look like it was turned three quarters of the way. A star was easier. Should I not use creative freedom? I feel like Loki as star is
turned. Like you're allowed to do creative freedom. But this person asked worded it very politely. A bit passive-aggressive of the response, but did legitimately draw it and everyone's falsely accusing you, it is frustrating.
But going back to the original person's comments, their point stands. This was comments, their point stands. This was the post that the OP posted, the final there's like two marks on the canvas. That happens though. If you drop
accidentally leave a streak, normal. But this was what was posted in the speed paint. So they didn't post the finished product. But not only that, it's drawn differently. Like these two are just not the same art piece. And the reason why
trying my best to line it up. I couldn't quite fully line it up. Like especially if you look at this eye, the eye is completely off. That on its own doesn't completely redrew over it again. But this was what we were given in the speed
paint, and this was the final post. The one that was like, "Oh, feel free to use just not the same drawing. It's close, but it's not the same drawing. The strands are not in the same place, pieces are not in the same place, etc.
Like you would have to completely redraw this one over again to get this piece. the neck is different. Potentially there's a more full speed paint, but I'm not the same, you know. If you post a speed paint for this art piece, midway
wasn't finished in the speed paint, it would look like it, no? And another person commented saying, "It's AI. The Procreate UI at the top is also wrong, supposed to look bulbous." And another
last minute? Yeah, for sure." And they also highlighted the Procreate icons. also highlighted the Procreate icons. Because dude, dude, not again, bro. What gallery, of the wrench, we have the magic wand tool, the little lasso tool,
this like the pointer. These look like Procreate's icons, right? Let me open my Procreate and take a screenshot, okay? Because what in the scammer is going on here? I screenshot this out of my Procreate. Sorry, it's like the top part
of like a quick study that I was doing. My tablet is not the same size as basing might be a little bit off. The star is wrong. Wait. Wait, how is there a hole in the middle of the star for the magic wand? And then if you look here at
this, it's like teardrop-shaped in the middle, whereas the lasso tool literally is an S with two lines drawn in between. Their arrow is on Ozempic. And then we pointer is off. Their brush is also smooshed and shaped differently. We're
not using the same Procreate. No way. We have another person. I already covered a person who did this. AR generated, allegedly, a Procreate border for their art piece. Because what? My flatters are gasted, y'all.
And on Twitter, a quote retweet with 35,000 likes and 1.7 million views says, "I'm sorry to tell y'all, but the way you sketch will always be a dead giveaway to your real art level. Just draw. Stop grifting with AI." I'm just
this. I just want to say, "Please don't send hate. Please don't harass. Please people in the comments being like, "Oh, this is why we should do this to this people is not cool. It doesn't make you better than anyone, okay? It just makes
you mean. Don't do that. But this was just real funny because it's another with a fake Procreate border. Come on. That's not what the Procreate icons look icons look like that, but every other user ever of Procreate has
normal-looking icons. You're not fooling anyone. Doesn't mean you mucked up, bro. free doesn't mean you should be generating stuff with AI and faking okay? Don't do that. But with that, if you like this video, I appreciate it if
