[00:02] monetize your videos on TikTok Mexico. Yes, it's not clickbait, and you won't have to create a French account or anything like that. There is already an official rewards program for creators, but wait because although this sounds [00:18] incredible, it's not as easy as it seems. Today I'm going to explain what requirements you have to meet, how they will pay, and what type of content can be monetized, because you might get excited and all, but you might also be disappointed by what I [00:33] have to tell you. Let's begin. Hey, kids, how are you? For those who don't know me, I'm Yayas, and TikTok has been paying creators in the United States, Europe, and Brazil for years, but Mexico has always lagged behind. [00:47] Many creators, including myself, relied solely on sponsorships or external sales like TikTok Shop and such to generate income on the platform. But now, with this program, the door to direct monetization is finally open, meaning you get [01:02] the door to direct monetization is finally open, meaning you get views. But be careful, because not just anyone can enter and not just any content can generate income. Let's talk about the requirements first, and [01:15] then about the content. The requirements to monetize a TikTok account in Mexico are as follows. Having a personal account, government accounts, media accounts, or business accounts are not eligible. [01:28] Have at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days as of October 1st. To be of legal age, have your account set to public, live in Mexico, and comply with community rules. [01:43] If you, the viewer of this video, already meet these requirements, you can go to TikTok right now, click on TikTok Studio in your profile, and in the monetization tab you will find this box that says Creator Rewards Program [01:57] . You click on join. Below it will tell you if you meet the requirements to join, and if you do, just click on join and you're done. TikTok will tell you that your application is under review and it may take up to [02:11] 7 days to accept you, if at all , right? So far so good, everything's great, right? TikTok is finally monetizing in Mexico. But we must answer three very important questions regarding this. How [02:24] are the rewards calculated? When will I receive the payments? And can I upload any type of content and monetize it? But before answering these three questions, if you don't yet meet these simple requirements—because they [02:39] are very simple, considering that Facebook doesn't even have real requirements and YouTube asks for 10,000 views—in my experience, to get good results uploading short content, you must publish content every [02:52] day. I've been using a tool that automatically analyzes my live streams with its artificial intelligence to find the best moments and turn them into vertical clips with subtitles. all without having to [03:05] spend hours editing. In fact, I uploaded this clip from a stream to my secondary channel a while ago and it got over 3.3 million views, and it also works with any video you upload manually. Yes, without [03:20] lifting a finger. Nexus Clip is not just a useful tool, it's a long- term ally that can help you achieve your goals faster. If you want to try the description with a very special discount, or you can also use the [03:35] code Duo for 2 directly when you register. Being a content creator doesn't have to be difficult with Nexus Clips. Okay, let's assume you meet the requirements. How are the rewards calculated? Rewards are [03:48] determined based on the number of valid views and the amount of rewards creators can earn per 1000 views. In short, your TikTok videos will be monetized for every 1000 valid views, and I'll [04:02] explain later what type of views are not valid. When will I receive the payments? Rewards are calculated at the end of each month and paid the following month. Basically the same way YouTube or Facebook works. To [04:17] withdraw your rewards, you must verify your identity and set up your preferred payment method. Unlike Facebook or YouTube, on TikTok you can decide which currency you want to be paid in, dollars or Mexican pesos. [04:30] And you can also receive your rewards by bank transfer or PayPal, which I think is amazing. And finally, we have the most important question of all. Can I upload any type of content and monetize it? Sadly, no. [04:44] This program is designed to reward only videos that are longer than one minute. Yes, you heard right, TikTok now wants long-form content, so forget about monetizing 15- second clips of you dancing or doing trends. [04:59] TikTok is looking for creators with more elaborate stories, explanations, tutorials, narratives, and so on. In other words, content that captures and retains the audience. And most importantly, TikTok is looking for authentic content. TikTok [05:14] says that videos must be original, designed, filmed and produced entirely by you. This means that any derivative content, duos, pasting or reusing clips with slight modifications may be [05:27] ineligible for monetization. The terms also state that videos with paid mentions are not allowed. In other words, if you upload a video sponsored by brand X, it might not be monetized under this program. It's also mentioned that [05:41] using copyrighted music for more than a minute may risk the video being demonetized or muted, but that won't be a problem for you because in the description I've included a link to a page [05:54] with 100% free, copyright-free music for YouTubers and streamers, which you can use without any issues on TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, or anywhere else. TikTok also defines what types of visits do not qualify for the [06:08] program. Views from sponsored ads will not qualify, meaning that you don't have to pay to get views on your videos . Views of less than 5 seconds do not count. Views from accounts that marked your video as not interested also don't [06:22] count. And duplicate views by the same account only count once. In other words , you can't tell a friend to watch your video 1000 times in a row. Another critical point of this new monetization program is that even if you [06:37] are already accepted, only videos published after your approval will be eligible for monetization, meaning that TikToks you posted before joining do not qualify for earnings under this program. And finally, if your [06:50] account or content violates community guidelines, copyright policies, or the creator code of conduct, you may be disqualified from the program. Now I imagine more than one of you is wondering, will it be [07:03] the same as Facebook and upload reactions or steal content from other creators? Okay, let's read what TikTok has to say about it . TikTok's goal is to be a platform where authenticity shines. We will review your [07:17] content to ensure it complies with community guidelines and the terms of the Creator Rewards program. And if you think TikTok doesn't care about content like Facebook, well, you're wrong. Previously, I had already monetized a [07:29] French TikTok account when I was doing video reactions on Facebook and such, and TikTok always rejected my content for not being authentic, plus when you have three rejections they kick you out of the [07:43] monetization program. So in my experience, TikTok is much stricter than Facebook or YouTube, so people should be careful about what they post. But the question here is, can TikTok really compete against Facebook or [07:56] YouTube in monetization? Leave your opinion in the comments and subscribe so you don't miss any updates on monetization on TikTok. And if you're not monetizing TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or anything else yet, in this video I'll [08:09] explain how you can monetize your YouTube channel with just one video. Click on it .
