[00:58] failure and getting it faster it's not the sole purpose of just being able to earn revenue when you first start because you most likely won't you have a and rayless star you don't have a community that these people have Bella
[01:13] over years of working hard consistent content and trying to stand out from the crowd at the start your main focus should be your learning curve that is what the focus should be on learn from other creators learn from blogs websites
[01:27] YouTube videos anything that you see reads watch that can help you become a better content later faster than other person the main thing that helped me become a twitch awfully fast and what I think so many meso on as interaction
[01:44] with the chat that you may be wondering what does that mean then what does it mean to be interacting with the chart because you might be certain here chat and no one really comes to stop by let me give you an example of how it
[01:57] usually goes here House it good yeah it's gone good thanks for asking how are you yeah I'm doing well have you been up too much today too much today now I haven't really been up too much
[02:15] isn't actually you but trust me when I say this a lot of streamers are Guenter can hold interaction with chat is a lot more important new thing and been able to maintain a conversation for more than 30 seconds can make or break someone
[02:30] wants in this day let the secret to all of this as open-ended questions if you've ever heard about that before you can understand what open-ended questions are but for those who are not as knowledgeable as basically a question
[02:42] the opens up the scenario to everyone who has less than or watching by asking movie you went to see in the cinema allows anyone who's less than Larkin telling and watching you to then be able to respond instead of targeting it
[02:57] solely at one person this is when it can lead to a variety of conversations going down the movie that they watched so why did they watch what did they enjoy about not like it what is your favorite movie then it
[03:10] leads to a variety of conversations you can have with multiple people I know I'm don't have anyone in my chart there's always a time when someone is going to stop by I spend around three months talking to nobody for a lot of my
[03:26] streams where most of the time it was me asking open-ended questions to nobody the deference was that I kept consistent with what I was doing so that meant when someone came and I was ready to have an open-ended question for them to start
[03:41] the conversation go in and I allowed me to chat with them have you ever went enter stream and nobody's chatting but the shimmer is doing nothing for the last 10 minutes to interact with anyone I know I've been in a lot of those and I
[03:55] haven't - the excuse you know what a few will do is that I can't have any interactivity if no one's chatting to me and I'll go to an extent I get that you have to be able to talk to yourself with an esteem especially at the start you're
[04:11] channel so you have to make every single person that stops by this is why open-ended questions and speaking your mind about maybe what you're doing in the game what you got up to today repeatedly well we'll help you become
[04:25] better as socializing with those when people do comment and makes you stand out from the crowd from a lot of people who have not yet reached a failure I have seen so many streamers or maybe on the war numbers and working towards
[04:39] their affiliate not have a clue what to do but if you understand the interactivity has the most important factor of your stream for the beginning then you will soon realize that more and more people want to come and stop by and
[04:52] different settings that you should have on whether you're an affiliate or not you should always follow these settings because it does kind of allow you to become a more discoverable and better streamer and a sense of anxiety timing
[05:09] and just allowing people to come and do your stream the first one we're gonna talk about as low latency modes and as you can see on the screen as and the stream key in preference area now what low latency does as it reduces the delay
[05:22] on your stream so for when you're real-time and want to talk to people who come into your chat right away low latency is the best thing to do when you have on normal latency that is usually when people are playing in tournaments
[05:36] or scams or they don't want to be stream sniped or anything like that there's usually the time you'll have that one I actually had normal latency on when I first started and messed out on a lot of conversations because people had left
[05:48] well before I even seen the message within the chat the next one we're gonna talk about as Reed's and this is in the same area of the settings so you can just scroll down a little bit and you see it I would recommend having a low
[06:01] all reeds on I get it if you're having a shorter streaming you don't really want someone else to get that opportunity but for the most part have a no raids on allows you to be exposed to more communities understand when we're
[06:15] working towards a failure every viewer counts and I think that goes for anything as well if you're working towards becoming a partner although it shouldn't be an end goal as something that can help 11 all raids just means
[06:27] that your stream can have any one pop and and share their community with you exposing you to a variety of people potentially new viewers who found you hired up in the director you should actually share by command with maybe
[06:39] exclamation mark reads and what it will do is just post a link to your stream with enough that means those coming in from the red can click that and it will refresh your stream or it will open a new tab for them and allow them to count
[06:51] as a viewer if you are working towards affiliate that's gonna help massively and actually pursue a closer and closer to achieving that the final one we're actually going to talk about as followers only mode this has been coming
[07:03] up on Twitter as of recently and a lot of people have been talking about a lot more followers only more as going to be your downfall if you are just starting out the only time you should actually have this on as
[07:16] maybe when you are a very large tumor there really isn't any other purpose for having one yes maybe if you're getting Mastro there's a lot of people coming and who are trying to do that then followers only mode can prevent a little
[07:31] bit but it's just not worth it I have seen a lot of people who have this on and has stopped me from even going back to their stream because it kind of gives good for everyone else so you have to follow before you can chap I've even
[07:45] seen people when you went to their chat you have to follow and wait about a day before you can even chat in their stream I'm sorry but if I'm coming into your stream I want to chat with you and I am not waiting a day just to have a
[07:58] conversation you are not that important to me and I certainly think a lot of people will feel the same way I get it if you are shout ninja scum anyone who as extremely popular and their surroundings yes
[08:12] follower only mode can work and can prevent some things from happening but you're doing is hurting your chances of meeting more incredible people who genuinely just want to talk with you turn this off don't have one it will
[08:26] towards a failure every single viewer counts to achieve affiliate you have to average the viewers pair stream within that month of doing so so at that point you really should be asking maybe close friends relatives to hop on your stream
[08:42] set on Geo years and the directory and every single Europe puts you higher than higher up top so if you can get some friends to come and stop by if you can get your family members to just leave a tab open
[08:55] throughout the day when your life that can make a serious difference and bringing no other external people into your stream to chat with you it doesn't take much and when you see someone on 0 viewers and you see someone on 2 years
[09:10] you're more likely to stop by as an always the case but for the most part it's shown that you are able to gain viewers and your stream and it's very simple to do actually when I first started my only viewer was myself my
[09:24] phone I had my stream on my phone and I was the only viewer by North that would stream because they'd seen I had that one viewer and and maybe once they come and chat with me given me a potential increase and meeting someone externally
[09:39] so my batteries ran out again remember to actually charge them with what I should these videos it always messes them up there's two final things we're gonna talk about and one of them has been a part of social media if you are
[09:51] just starting streaming you probably don't realize this but social media is going to be a huge factor and growing your discoverability on the likes of twitch max or a deal I if YouTube gaming anything that you stream on you see
[10:03] people cannot be bothered going to check you out just directly from twitch I mean barely anyone's gonna find you anymore and 2014 there used to be 70 viewers per and 2014 there used to be 70 viewers per one stream and in 2019 there are now 29
[10:17] FS doesn't show you the increasing competition I really don't know what does that means you're gonna have to find a way to stand out from the code even more and by doing that social media can help most of the people who actually
[10:29] you'd have known me from social media and wanted to check me out and that is how I start to meet more and more people as the snowball effect happens now remember don't fall into the trap of solely posting that you are live on
[10:44] social media nobody wants to see that at the end of the day people are at the end of the day people are following you for you so tell them about yourself show your personality of what you're doing that day what you enjoy to
[10:56] thoughts throughout the day show them anything about you to give them an insight to your personality this is why they're following you and if they like what you have got to show on social media then they might relate to you on
[11:09] stream uncommon hangout start off social media with the right knowledge and you can really gain those viewers to help you get to affiliate if you are actually when you're first starting and a lot more information have a website fully
[11:23] dedicated to doing so and I'll leave the links and the description down below I when you're first beginning to eventually grow in your brand as you become more experienced I know it's already helped a ton of people and we're
[11:36] recently so if you do want to go and check out as they're in the description the final thing I'm going to talk about and one that not everyone does but I have seen it quite a lot and that's treating your viewers like numbers a lot
[11:51] of people think that these people have just got all the free time in the world and are going to hang out for your hosting but what people don't realize as that these people are people they have busy lives things to do out
[12:04] west of that have got tons of planning maybe with family friends school you name anything people have lives and you have to treat those like people not just a number on the screen the best thing that I have done when our streaming was
[12:19] doing that and wanted to get to know everyone on a personal level because everyone on a personal level because twitch as life and activity so I would go there to meet people and talk to people live if I wanted to do anything
[12:31] don't need to chat to anyone I don't need to talk about anything but twitch seems to be a place where people feel like they deserve numbers or they deserve Heidi or Kent's don't treat your viewers just like numbers treat them
[12:44] like people and people will treat you with respect it's a two-way system and you are not entitled to anything nobody owes you a thing if you follow all these I know they will not only help you reach a failure a little bit faster but for
[13:00] experienced best could help you massively understand the focus that's more to those who aren't affiliate yet but I wanted to help every and not sort of sentence and learn from what I learned when I first started
[13:13] more difficult than people think when they first start I but if you're willing willing to have an open mind and lesson to other people who have already been through all of this then you could start off and the complete rate fit compared
[13:29] to everyone else who's not doing a small bit of research to make a massive bit of research to make a massive difference have a fantastic day don't
