[00:18] is absolutely nothing that could go to except 100 meters Hyaku Emu absolute masterpiece. Out of the options for best new series, I've got to give it to
[00:30] new series, I've got to give it to Takopi's Original Sin. However, the actual best new anime of the year, in my opinion, is Apocalypse Hotel, and that is thankfully up for best original anime. For best animation though,
[00:44] absolutely nothing deserves that as much as Takopi does. But when it comes to character design, My Dress-Up Darling is the clear winner. Gachiakuta's got some great designs. Takopi's definitely got some great
[00:58] designs. But what sets My Dress-Up Darling apart is the fact that they came up with all these great designs for the fictional anime within the anime, and even in cosplay, the characters still look like themselves. That is an amazing
[01:14] feat of design. Best director, has to go to Ryohei Takeshita for The Summer Hikaru Died. It probably would have been much higher on my anime of the year rankings if the story just finished this season. But yeah, amazing direction. Got
[01:29] to give best background art to City. Honestly, probably deserves best animation overall. Didn't get the nom for that, unfortunately, but the for that, unfortunately, but the backgrounds are above anything else this
[01:42] year. For best comedy, you know my boy/girl Ranma's still got it. Best isekai, I love Ys Zenaku, but Re:Zero came out this year, so it's got to go to
[01:54] Re:Zero. Best drama, I see no choice but Orb. Turbo Granny for best supporting character, you bags. And of course, for the character we must protect at all costs,
[02:09] it's Suika. If you know, you know. Best song goes to Iris Out. Best opening though, I'm giving to On the Way from Don to Don. Please note, those are different categories. There you have it. These are my picks,
