## Transcript

Hello there and welcome back to another
video. Today we're going to talk about
showdowns, which is the name that
they're using for the two new mini zones
of patch 1207 for Val and Neatol. Uh in
this video, we're going to go through
everything that you need to know about
these zones, what they look like, what
do you do there, what are the rewards,
all that good stuff. But before we jump
into that, I do want to let you know
that I am streaming on twitch.tv/mrgm.
If you want to see me stream World of
Warcraft midnight 1207 ptr 121 ptr, I'm
over on twitch.tv/ TV/MGM.
Right, so showdowns. Showdowns are an
extension of the void assault system
from 1205, and they have come in the
form of two new mini zones called Val
and Neatol. These might be recognizable
names to you cuz these two zone
locations were previously used in the
Argust invasion point system, but they
have been extended and changed to be
adapted into void invasions. But they
are still the same locations, though.
They're not pretending it's somewhere
new. So, you are going back to these
locations that were previously inhabited
by the Legion. Let's talk a little bit
more about the zones and how they kind
of work. So, to enter the zones, you
unlock them through a fairly short quest
line, which will be available at the
start of 1207. And once that's complete,
your ults will be able to skip straight
to the zone. The entrance to the zones
is located in the voidtorm in the
Howling Ridge or in Silver Moon by the
void assault area. And these zones do
rotate weekly, so only one zone will be
up at any given time. Now, if you ever
want to check out the maps for the
zones, they are just attached to the
voidtorm map. So, similar to like the
siren aisle and things like that, we've
had it in the past. These zones are
primarily designed for level 90s, but
you can come here on a level 80 to 90 to
level. The zone does reward XP through
world quests and bonus objectives and
rares and things like that. So, it could
potentially be a unique way to level.
Now, Val is an icy world once inhabited
by the Legion and is now where a
powerful Dominar has established his
bastion of power. Negat is a fungal
arcane rich world now occupied by the
insidious ethereal faction known as the
Halh had. Now, when entering these
zones, they do use the delve and ritual
site UI. And this is where you choose
whether you want to enter it on normal
world tier or heroic world tier. More on
that in a bit. So, let's talk about what
is going on in these zones. What are you
actually up to? So, these zones do have
quests. Each zone will have a selection
of one-time quests. There'll be three
main quest lines in each of the zones
and then seven side quest lines between
both of the zones. The side quest lines
are a combination of new story beats as
well as just setting up things in the
zone and teaching you about different
zonewide systems like setting up the
different flight path teleporters,
acquiring a new toy called the light
veil recall beacon. This is kind of a
flight master's whistle of sorts which
will port you back to the base camp with
a 15-minute cool down and it will also
direct you to a vendor where you can
purchase zone specific flasks and buffs
which can help you out in the zone. Now
each zone will have a bunch of rares
with 10 rares in Val and eight in natol
as well as world quests. There'll be 14
unique world quests in Val and 11 in
negat as well. So tons of different
world quests and res to do. Alongside
that there will be some bonus
objectives. The zones are covered in
treasures and each of the zones will
have a world boss you can kill once per
week. So, I mentioned it earlier, world
tiers. Yes, there will be two different
world tiers for the zones, a normal
world tier and a heroic world tier.
There was data to suggest a mythic world
tier, but it doesn't look like we're
getting that. So, normal world tier, the
recommended item level is 219, and this
is a pretty standard difficulty for most
players. When doing the activities in
the zone, these will reward field
accolades. void light maul coff shards.
You also get one out of six warbound
champion gear from the rares in the zone
and champion crests as well as a
warbound champion piece from the world
boss. So for heroic world tier, this is
actually unlocked by killing one of the
world bosses in any of the two zones. Uh
and this will unlock it for both of the
zones. So obviously when it launches,
just go in there, kill the world boss,
and that will unlock heroic world tier.
Now I find heroic world tier to be
pretty difficult on your own. The
recommended item level for heroic world
tier is 274, which yeah, is pretty high.
Now, when you're in heroic world tier,
this will contain different affixes.
Creatures will spawn with additional
abilities. There'll be more elite
creatures around the zone, and you'll
get random ambushes similar to prey or
delves, but yeah, these are a lot harder
and don't actually reward anything, so
keep an eye out for those. Now,
obviously, more difficulty, more
rewards, so you're going to get tons
more field accolades. Unfortunately,
there is no increase to void light mal
in heroic world tier, which is a shame
because once again, you will be needing
a lot of this for the rewards. You are
going to get more coffee shards. You're
also going to get four out of six
warbound champion gear from the rares in
heroic world tier. These rares will also
drop hero crest and you will get a
warbound hero piece from the world boss
as well. Both of the world tiers do
share world quests and bonus objectives,
so if you do complete them on normal,
they won't be there on heroic. So, make
sure you're keeping that in mind. The
difficulty of heroic multi is pretty
tough and personally I don't see the
point of the rewards with the increased
difficulty beyond doing achievements and
maybe some hero crest. But maybe people
will find it fun. I think as well
obviously testing on PTR being pretty
much on my own the whole time did make
it extremely hard. So, obviously once
this launches there's going to be a ton
of people around and maybe that will
make the difficulty a little bit more
manageable. So, yeah, really it's up to
you whether or not you want to play in
normal or heroic world tier. but it's
nice to see it coming in as an option.
So, let's talk about the rewards. These
zones have a myriad of rewards, ranging
from power to cosmetics. There are tons
of cosmetics for you to collect here.
So, let's start with the weekly quest.
These zones will feature a weekly quest.
Now, there is one for each tier of
difficulty, but if you do choose to do
the heroic world tier one without doing
the normal one, you'll actually get the
normal tier rewards from your heroic
cash, so you don't have to do it twice.
Now, the normal weekly quest rewards
gold, 15 hero dawn crest, 200 void light
m, 75 field accolades, and 100 kofaki
shards. If you complete the weekly in
heroic world tier, this will reward you
gold, 15 myth dawn crest, 250 void light
mile, 100 field accolades, and 125 kofi
shards. Now, one thing that's
interesting here is that once you've
completed the weekly, there'll be a new
dialogue option that gives you the
choice to do even more activities, like
completing world activities or defeating
rares in the zone. And each of these
will also reward another cash with the
same rewards. So, really, if you do all
of them, you can get up to three cashes
a week from each difficulty. So, it's
definitely going to keep you busy. The
zones also feature a one-time quest in
Heroic World Tier to obtain four void
commanders emblems. Now, these can drop
from either of the world bosses in
Heroic World Tier, but it also looks
like these do come from the Heroic World
Tier weekly quests, all three of them.
So, you should be able to obtain this in
one week if you complete all the weekly
quests and kill the world boss. This
actually rewards a myth track piece,
which is the first time getting Myth
Track in World Content. You'll be able
to choose between a cloak, waste, or
braces. So, that's definitely a first
for solo players. There's also been some
pretty substantial updates to Marane
Silverwing in Silver Moon. So, this
vendor will now sell specific hero track
caches at 750 field accolades each and
has cashes for specific armor slots.
Also, weapons, rings, and trinkets. So,
you can specifically get some of those
hero track pieces for 750 each. She also
sells specific slots for champion as
well for 100 field accolades. Now,
unfortunately, as of the recording of
this, field accolades are not warbound,
so they are still character specific.
Now, while on the subject of updated
vendors in 1207, you also be able to
purchase the loss armament weapon
cosmetics from a vendor for 150 dark
particles. If you know about these
items, right now they are only obtained
at an extremely low drop rate from void
assaults, or you can purchase them on
the auction house for insane amount of
gold. So really cool to see them being
available from a vendor as of 1207. Now
back to the zone. The zone will also
feature a blue version of the prey armor
and weapons. Now these can be purchased
from a vendor for various amounts of
field accolades and void light maul. Now
they cost barely any accolades but tons
of void light m. So I hope you've been
saving. However, you can save yourself
some currency because if you come to one
of the zones on a level 80 plus the
world quest in the zone will actually
reward the appearances from this vendor.
Also, the rares in the zone also have a
chance of dropping these items as well,
so you might not need to spend as much
on the vendor. In Val, you'll be able to
acquire a purple version of the noble's
winter attire. This is a low drop chance
from chest in Val. The good news here is
if you don't like RNG from chess, you
can purchase these pieces from the
bulging winter pack for 250 accolades.
Negat will also have something similar
with brand new weapon appearances. These
can drop from chess in negat, but they
can also be purchased from the vendor
from the bulging ethereal pack for 250
field accolades from the same vendor.
You can also purchase the swamp dwellers
night staff for field accolades and void
light maul. There's also some new light
forge weapon appearances. All of these
cost 60 field accolades and void light
mal. So firstly, you can purchase the
arsenal light forge armaments. This
contains a two-handed sword, a pole arm,
and a offh hand. You can also purchase
the light runed crystal beacon, which is
a one-handed mace, and the light veil
argonite blade, which is a one-handed
sword. There is also some light forge
housing decor. You've got the D-powered
light forge siege breaker for 500 mile.
The grand artifific's light forge
console for 250, the light veils
transport pad for 250, the luminant
soldiers war banner for 150, the
luminant defenders golden barricade for
150, and the luminant scouts golden
fence for 150. There's also three pets
which are available to purchase. You've
got Frosticus Maximus for 750, Sento for
750, and Fishstick Keith for 250
Cinderize Swarmers and 30 Field
accolades. There's also three mounts
which are associated with the zone. You
got the Nether Forge null frame, which
is a void mech mount. You've got the
Voidmancer's Star Carver, which is a
void surfboard mount, and the tortured
gorgger, which is a void themed gorgger.
Now, it's worth noting here that a lot
of these rewards do require achievements
to purchase them. For example, some of
the mounts are attached to the meta
achievement of each of the zones, which
is a great segue to talk about
achievements. So, there are tons of
achievements in each of the zones which
have been added to the void assault
section. Now, these achievements range
from killing the world boss, killing
rares, completing world quests,
defeating a certain amount of creatures
with certain affixes, and various things
like that. And as mentioned, there is a
meta achievement for each of the zones.
And this is the requirement for the
Nether Forge null frame and the void
mantis star carver amount. So, tons of
things to do, tons of things to collect,
and tons of gear to acquire if you are
chasing some of those hero track pieces.
So, yeah, that is showdowns. Those are
the two new mini zones of 1207. Let me
know in the comments your thoughts on
these zones. Let me know your thoughts
on heroic world tier. Personally, I
think heroic world tier would be better
suited for like the start of a patch.
obviously when people are using kind of
world content to gear, but I think
people will probably enjoy having the
option to go in there. There's tons of
cosmetics to collect as well. So, it's
definitely going to keep people very,
very busy until we get to 12.1 in
August. So, guys, thank you very much
for watching. If you did like this
