## Transcript

covering the seven best crypto trading platforms to get started with. Now, you might be looking at the crypto markets right now and thinking, man, is this really a good time to invest? Because Bitcoin just experienced the biggest
one-day price drop since November 2022. But, here's what you need to think about. Bitcoin is notorious for these boom and bust cycles, yet it has continued to appreciate in value over the long run. The truth is, this could
actually be one of the best opportunities to buy into the crypto markets at a discount that we have seen in a very long time. Now, I've personally been talking about crypto here on YouTube and over on my blog,
investingSimple.com, since 2017. So, I'm going to be sharing everything that I've learned during almost a decade in this space, [music] and all that I ask in return is that you drop a like on this video and subscribe.
Real quick, I just have to mention here that I'm not a financial advisor and this isn't [music] personalized financial advice. Coming in at number one on our list here is Coinbase, the largest US-based cryptocurrency
exchange. For a lot of people, myself included, Coinbase has been their path into the world of crypto. They offer a very easy-to-use app that is beginner-friendly and simple to navigate, so it's often a starting point
here for first-time crypto investors. You can trade over 150 different tokens within the app, and they also have a massive global footprint with support for over 100 different countries. But, viewing Coinbase as just a crypto
trading platform for beginners would be a mistake because they have advanced features built right in, too. Coinbase Advanced, which is available on both desktop and mobile, gets you access to TradingView charts, advanced indicators,
advanced order types [music] and order books, and an all-around professional-grade trading platform. And, you might think something like this would be very costly, but Coinbase Advanced comes with no subscription fees
required to trade. Now, as far as fees go, Coinbase has a two-part fee structure here for trades placed using the regular version of the Coinbase app. [music] First, we have the spread, which is going to be a percentage fee based on
the current market price of the asset. And second, there is a dollar-based fee, which depends on the payment method, order size, and other factors. But Coinbase Advanced actually offers a lower volume-based fee structure, so
that can be helpful for some users. In addition, Coinbase offers a premium service called Coinbase One, which can also help to offset fees. This gets you zero trading fees on a set volume per month, access to the Coinbase One card,
boosted staking rewards, and more. And the Coinbase One card is a Bitcoin rewards credit card that enables you to earn up to 4% Bitcoin back on every purchase. And if you prefer to avoid credit, they also offer a Coinbase debit
card, which can link directly to your exchange account. Now, in terms of their additional features, this includes staking rewards, USDC rewards, a self-custody wallet app, derivatives, stock trading, prediction markets, and
stock trading, prediction markets, and more. Users can typically earn 3 to 14% back in staking rewards using Coinbase with minimum starting at just $1. And if you keep extra cash on the sidelines in the form of stablecoins like USDC,
Coinbase pays rewards on that similar to a high-yield savings account. This currently pays a 3.5% rewards rate, but that is subject to change. Their self-custody wallet base allows you to be in control of your private key and to
be the custodian of your digital assets. Derivatives, on the other hand, allow you to deploy additional trading strategies like short selling and leverage. Keep in mind both can be extremely risky, but advanced users
might be interested in these different types of futures and perpetuals. Now, the stock trading feature is a very recent addition to the Coinbase platform. You'll be able to take advantage of fractional share investing
allowing you to buy in $1 increments as well as commission-free trades. In addition, this will be 24-hour trading offered five days a week during the normal market schedule. And prediction markets, which have become very popular
across different financial apps, allow you to place bets on real-world events both inside and outside the world of crypto. Coinbase is truly building a one-stop shop for investing. And if you want to learn more about them, check out
my full Coinbase tutorial in the corner. If you're ready to sign up, make sure you use my link below or visit ryan o' scribner.com/coinbase to get a free Bitcoin bonus. This also helps to support my channel and make
videos like this one possible. So, thank you. Next up on our list here, we have Robinhood, which might not be the first name that you think of in the crypto space, but hear me out. Robinhood can actually be one of the most
cost-effective options for purchasing cryptocurrencies based on their fee structure. Over on their site, they've done a comparison of purchasing $10, $100, and $1,000 worth of a few popular tokens across multiple different crypto
investing platforms. If you bought $100 worth of Bitcoin, for example, you'd end up getting the most Bitcoin and paying the least in fees using Robinhood. Now, Coinbase Advanced would be a close second here, and this is a good example
of how the fees can be less compared to the regular version of the Coinbase app. But overall, Robinhood can often be the best bang for your buck when purchasing tokens. [music] So, let's talk more now about the crypto investing side of their
app. Robinhood doesn't have the widest selection of cryptocurrencies, currently supporting about 50 of them, but you will find all of the majors here. In addition, you can also send and receive these tokens, which makes this a
full-blown exchange and not just an indirect buying platform. Robinhood is investing feature that allows you to invest as little as $1. And that same
minimum applies to crypto investing, too. You can also set up recurring investments if you want to buy on a set schedule, like every single week or even every trading day. In addition, Robinhood does support crypto staking,
but for the time being, it only supports this for Ethereum and Solana. Now, Robinhood is known for being very user-friendly and beginner-oriented, but through Robinhood Legend, their advanced platform, you can get access to advanced
charting, data, tools, and more. And Robinhood Legend supports crypto trading, too, not just stocks. So, you can use this as an advanced crypto trading platform if you want to, as well. Lastly, Robinhood offers their own
self-custody platform called Robinhood Wallet. So, you could consider this if you want to hold your own private key while staying within the Robinhood ecosystem. I have a full Robinhood tutorial as well that I will put in the
their crypto investing and other features. And if you want to dive in with them, be sure to visit ryanoscribner.com/robinhood
to get a free stock when you sign up. You'll get a free fractional share worth up to $200, and you actually get to choose from a list of 20 leading American companies. Also, guys, real quick, if you've gotten any value out of
this so far, make sure you drop a like and subscribe. Now, if you're looking to invest in meme coins and other smaller altcoins, I'm certainly not here to judge, and neither is crypto.com, which is our next trading platform on the
list. This is pretty much the biggest competitor to Coinbase, and they offer a full-blown exchange and support for over 400 different tokens. On crypto.com, you will find a lot more altcoins or alternatives to the big names like
Bitcoin. And these are smaller projects without as much legitimacy behind them. You could think of these like you would penny stocks. [music] Yes, you could hit to make it in the long run. But nonetheless, many choose to speculate on
these lesser-known altcoins, and who knows, maybe it does pay off. So, that's often the biggest reason why people use them is because of that massive selection of tokens available. But here's what else they are also known
for. In addition to crypto, they also support the trading of stocks and ETFs, which makes them a popular option for multi-asset exposure. One of the most popular features, and my personal favorite, is the crypto.com card that
allows you to spend your crypto holdings just like traditional money. There are also derivatives available on crypto.com, which let you trade based on the future price of a crypto without actually owning it. But this is going to
be for more advanced strategies, and most casual users are not going to be interested in that. And similar to others, crypto.com offers a separate wallet app for those seeking full custody over their digital assets. The
crypto.com on-chain wallet is a self-custody wallet where you are in full control of your keys and your crypto. But this does come with additional responsibilities. As far as staking goes, crypto.com supports a wide
variety of tokens for this, with rewards rates as high as 19% in some cases. In general, you will find a wider selection of tokens that you can stake here with crypto.com compared to others. So, that's another reason why they are so
popular. I also have a full crypto.com tutorial that I will put in the corner description below. If you're ready to get started with them, be sure to visit ryanoscribner.com/crypto or use referral code ryan24 when you
or use referral code ryan24 when you sign up to score a welcome bonus offer. Gemini, a crypto exchange that was co-founded by the Winklevoss twins in 2014. Since then, they've become
available in over 60 different countries worldwide in addition to all 50 US states. Gemini offers a beginner-friendly trading app as well as a high-performance trading platform called Gemini Active Trader. The basic
version of their platform is designed for beginners and more casual users who want to buy, sell, and track their crypto portfolios. Gemini Active Trader on the other hand offers a customizable trading workstation where you can access
real-time order books, advanced order types, [music] and faster order execution. As far as the asset selection goes, Gemini supports the trading for about 80 different cryptocurrencies. So, it's definitely less than you're
going to find on crypto.com and Coinbase, for example, but more than you will find on Robinhood. One of the most popular features is the Gemini credit card, a crypto rewards credit card that allows you to earn Bitcoin as well as
other tokens as credit card rewards. The cashback ranges from 1 to 4% depending on the purchase and can be taken in your choice of over 50 different types of I have personally been using this card for about a year now earning XRP rewards
as my crypto back. In total, I've earned about $3,200 in XRP back on my purchases, but based on the recent market pullback, the current value is around 1,900. [music] For me, I view this as a very long-term investment, and
since I earned this crypto as opposed to purchasing it, I'm not too worried about the short-term performance. Just keep in mind that you need to be responsible with your credit card usage above all else. As soon as you start paying
interest to the credit card company, you're likely negating any benefits you're receiving as far as rewards go. The last thing I want to mention about Gemini is their emphasis on security and regulation. Gemini follows a
regulation-first approach where they are regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services. In addition, Gemini is a licensed fiduciary and qualified custodian under New York banking law. In a nutshell, Gemini has
taken some additional steps here to help people feel safe and secure when using their crypto trading platform. If you want to check them out, be sure to visit ryanoschribner.com/gemini or use the link below to get started. Up
next on our list here, we have Kraken, which was founded in 2011 and now boasts more than 15 million users globally. Kraken is available in over 190 different countries and supports over 290 different cryptocurrencies. So, this
exchange has a massive global footprint in addition to having a wide variety of tokens available. However, for those watching from the US, I do want to mention one regulatory hurdle that they faced in the past. In 2023, the
Securities and Exchange Commission charged them with unlawfully operating a business [music] that bought and sold digital currencies. But, the good news is this case was officially settled in March of 2025 when the SEC dropped the
case against them and others. And similar to others on our list here, Kraken offers a simplified version of their trading platform as well as an advanced version. The regular version of the Kraken app has a simple
user-friendly interface that most beginners are able to navigate with ease. Kraken Pro on the other hand focuses more on functionality offering advanced tools, data, and features for more experienced users. And just like
most other crypto exchanges, Kraken does collect fees on crypto trades and transactions. If you trade a lot, you can sign up for Kraken Plus starting at $4.99 a month and that offers zero fee trading on up to $10,000 per month in
crypto volume. One other differentiating feature here is that Kraken offers feature here is that Kraken offers stocks, ETFs, and even NFTs among their asset selection, too. Kraken also supports staking with rewards up to 21%
yearly and a wide selection of tokens that can be staked. Lastly, through their margin and futures trading functionalities, users can access up to 5x margin on spot trading and up to 50x leverage on perpetuals. Keep in mind
though, this is very risky and not suitable for most casual investors, so You can check them out by visiting You can check them out by visiting ryanoscribner.com/kraken
link down below that walks you through how to use their platform step by step. The next crypto exchange on our list is Uphold. With over 300 different cryptos supported across more than 140 different countries, this is one of the most
broadly available platforms for digital assets today. >> In addition, Uphold allows you to trade four different precious metals. That's gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, which is a key differentiator from
others. Another unique aspect about Uphold is their cross-asset trading functionality, which they call their anything-to-anything trading. This means that users can swap from any one supported asset on their platform into
another. So, that could be Bitcoin to gold and vice versa. In addition, Uphold has a very high level of transparency with users and the general public. On the Uphold website, they have a section that posts their assets and liabilities
in real-time, and this is updated every 30 seconds. They also make it clear that they are 100% reserved, and they will never loan out their customers' money. Similar to other crypto trading platforms, you will find staking here in
addition to the Uphold card, which can be used to directly spend crypto and other assets. And depending on the category, this earns up to 4% rewards on some purchases. also fully automate transactions on Uphold, allowing you to
take advantage of a powerful strategy called dollar cost averaging. And with how volatile the crypto markets can be, this is often the best approach. [music] One final service that Uphold offers is actually global money transfers. You can
send money instantly across borders in various currencies or cryptocurrencies. In addition, all transfers between Uphold users are free. If you want to check them out, be sure to visit ryanoskripner.com/uphold
list of the best crypto trading platforms, we have Binance and Binance US. Binance is the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume, and Binance US is simply their US version of the exchange. Binance has over 270
the exchange. Binance has over 270 million registered users across over 180 different countries, and they support the trading of over 350 digital assets. Binance caters to both beginners and more advanced traders with features and
interfaces designed [music] for each group. Through Binance Earn, users have access to a suite of tools for generating passive income from their crypto holdings, including staking, launch pool airdrops, and more. In
addition, trading fees are generally viewed as very competitive with fees being even lower when paid in BNB or Binance Coin, the native token for this exchange. And similar to others, Binance offers a web3 wallet called Binance
Wallet, which can be used for self-custody, interacting with decentralized applications, and more. I'm actually going to be doing a full tutorial of the Binance US app here on my channel soon, so make sure you
subscribe for when that video comes out. And don't forget to check out my full tutorial guides in the corner, as well as the different resources linked in the description below. Here's the truth. If you're working at a job that you hate
