## Summary

In this interview, trader Borja shares his journey from starting with €1,000 to earning over $100,000 in a month, then losing nearly everything and rebuilding. He discusses the psychological toll, the importance of a safety net, and the strategies that helped him recover.

### Key Points

- **Starting from Scratch** [00:01] — Borja began trading in January 2019 after falling for typical scams, losing €300 initially. He later focused on small caps and started with funding tests.
- **The Turning Point** [09:02] — In December 2024, after attending a trading house and having a good week, something clicked. He started investing more capital and positions in good opportunities.
- **First Major Loss** [10:11] — Two stocks with offerings crashed, wiping out 40% of his account. He reduced his position size and focused on safer trading.
- **Rapid Growth and Overconfidence** [12:06] — From September to October, his account grew from $30,000 to $80,000, then he made almost $100,000 in October. Overconfidence led to discretionary trading on his data account.
- **Consecutive Losses** [13:25] — He had two consecutive losses of $50k each day, wiping out his gains and leading to a severe drawdown.
- **Mental Toll and Identity Crisis** [17:15] — Trading consumed him; he checked stocks constantly and felt depressed despite having money. He realized he had mixed his identity with being a trader.
- **Seeking Help and Recovery** [21:15] — After hitting rock bottom, he sought professional help and talked with friends like Joel and Charlie. He started making withdrawals and focusing on systematic trading.
- **The $150k Trade** [31:14] — In February, he made a trade that lasted about a minute, earning $150,000. He withdrew a percentage and treated it as a gift, not a new baseline.
- **Valuing Peace of Mind** [39:36] — He now prioritizes peace of mind over extreme profits, aiming to maintain his lifestyle and avoid the rollercoaster of huge gains and losses.
- **Factors for Scaling** [45:29] — He attributes his ability to scale to having a plan B, a supportive family, and a low risk tolerance that allows him to stay uncomfortable.
- **Systematic vs Discretionary** [52:44] — He prefers systematic trading for scaling because it follows a pre-established protocol, reducing emotional decision-making.
- **Execution and Setups** [55:48] — He shares his screen, showing examples of his trades, including BWAP bounces and breakouts, and explains his focus on low-float stocks.
- **Screen Time Reduction** [01:16:26] — He has reduced screen time from full market hours to closing at 4 PM, using alerts and focusing on other activities.
- **Advice to Younger Self** [01:20:04] — He would advise his younger self to not obsess over money, to listen to experienced traders, and to maintain a balance in life.

### Conclusion

Borja's story highlights the psychological challenges of trading and the importance of having a safety net, a plan B, and a balanced mindset. Success in trading is not just about profits but about managing risk and maintaining mental well-being.

## Transcript

connect it all." And I started with funding tests, which some people do well for, but in my case, well, it didn't go well. It was like something clicked for me, and I started to invest more capital and more position in the good opportunities. My
account was at around $0,000, I had started with $0,000 and I didn't know how to manage it. It had lost about 40%, I lowered it to 8000 or $0000. And then from September to October came 000. Everything was going great for me, and then I
made a mistake. I had two consecutive losses of 50k each day. I mean, what have I Hello traders, how are you? Can you imagine starting in trading with just €1000 and in just a few years ending up earning more than €100,000 in a single month? Today I
whose story seems like something out of a movie, believe me. The trader we're going to talk to started trading Forex, but he hadn't been doing it for very long either, that is, he started from scratch a
time, as you can see here on screen, he went from having an account of about €1,000 and from having an account of about €1,000 and earning uh 50 100 uh after a day, to earning tens of thousands of euros [music] a day and even in a single trade, as you
are seeing here on screen, earning $150,000. as you can see here in his track record, which he will show us throughout the interview, he lost $100,000 in just 2 days. 50,000 for the first and
manage their emotions. And what's impressive is not only having reached such heights from scratch, but losing everything, being down 80%, and managing to rebuild from there. And most importantly, he's going to
explain to us, he's going to detail step by step how he managed to rebuild himself, to recover after something like this. Not everyone is equipped to go from seeing normal figures for an everyday human being , €1,000 or €2,000 in a month,
to seeing daily profits or losses [music] of more than six figures. And all this at just 25 years old. So today we're going to talk to Borja, a day trader of explain in detail his most winning setups, analyze his
explain a bit about this whole journey I 'm telling you about, and tell us something that very few people will tell you: how mentally draining it is when you try to make a living from trading and grow your trading account so quickly
your situation would only show you the end of the road, the top where it explain the complete opposite, how the process you see here has led to getting there, what really defines a trader. So I hope you like it and
How are you? How are you, Victor? How's everything going? Very good, man. Thank you for accepting this chat. Uh, I think this is your public, huh ? Yes, the truth is that the two of them were very close
together, but well, it's true that this conversation, I mean, I had no doubt that if you invited me I was going to agree to have it. I thank you from the bottom of my since we're on the subject, I'll leave the other
Charlie Charlie de la Vega below in case anyone wants it. It was a spectacular podcast; I watched it and had a great time talk about many things that you've I have some things in my head that might be interesting for other
you. So, I really feel like chatting, man. I'm really looking forward to meeting you. You are a very interesting trader, not only in the sense of being a winner, which we will your way of interpreting trading, of analyzing it, of executing it, seems
spectacular to me and I think people really like to see it. So think could be very interesting, what do you think? Okay, do you want to explain a little bit to people so they can put into context who you
are, where you come from, how you got into trading? Clear. Okay, so, I'm, well, yes, my name is Borja, I mean, I'm a guy from Guadalajara, uh, not because of my accent, but Guadalajara, Spain,
okay? Which is next to Madrid. And well , a guy who started, I think, , a guy who started, I think, to trade in January 2019 because I kept getting the typical scams, right? I copy signals and
well, I put €300 into this broker and look at the lifestyle I have, and not with Forex. Sure, the typical thing, and at the beginning, well, it's true that I made a little money with other things and I said, well, okay, I'm going to
put €300 into this thing that I don't know what it is, right? And from there, well, it's true that I lost that money, those €300 that I put in, and well, from then on it started to really catch my attention. Uh, yes, it's
Small Caps, which is what I'm doing right now , I had always been in Forex and a small part, a little attempt at futures, but it's true profitable, I mean, it's true that while I
was in university I dedicated some time to it, nothing serious, okay? And there was a time when I was already finishing university, uh, it coincided with my university internship, okay? And I said, "Well, I don't know
university internship, okay? And I said, "Well, I don't know n't know if I want to continue studying, job, because it's true that, well, for the age I was and
was also an investment bank, I wanted to look for something studied marketing and I said, well, let's "Well, I'm going to stay here for a while . I don't know if I'll stay
forever or not, but I'm going to start investigating a little more, right? And that's the point I'm making, well, a few months passed and I said, "Okay, I'm going to give it my all." I'm going to take a sort of sabbatical year, and I'm going to try this thing I've
always wanted to do, I mean, it's been going on for many years. I'm talking about 2023, and it had been a long time, as I was saying, that I didn't know if it was going to work out or not. I said, okay, I'll give it a shot, right? And I started with funding tests,
I started with things that work well for some people, and in my case, well, it didn't work out. also why he accepted the interview, that in 2023 you interviewed okay ? And I followed him on
Twitter, and at that moment it kind of stayed there, like, it wasn't going and nothing happened. And all this time I was already tired of Forex, I had done a there, I didn't really have any tested strategy. I mean, it's typical that
someone uploads a YouTube video, a American, he tells you, "Hey, do this, do that , because you're going to pass the anchoring tests, you know?" And then I see that suddenly Xavi does a training course and I say, "Damn, I
had interviewed him, so I to choosing people and I said, "Okay, fine, I'm going to join and
try to see if I can make it." The good thing I had, besides the fact that I happened to mess with Chavi, is that he had a plan B, okay? That's a lot of n't take this into account because it's true that I told you, "Okay, I'm going to take
, the lucky thing for me was that I had finished my studies, I mean, I have a university degree, and well , talking it over with my family and all, they said, "Well, why do n't you do an online master's degree so you
can combine it somehow? That way, you don't, so to speak, throw away your 're doing with stocks and all that with stocks and all that , then fantastic, you know?"
And so, I started with Chavi. It's true that in the first few months, as true that in the first few months, as Charlie's interview mentions, things just weren't really taking off, not really working out , I was
completely stuck. I mean, you'd see my performance curve, and it wasn't like an upward curve where you'd say, "Damn, you put in a little more money and it could be interesting, right?" What you're doing, it was more like one month I'd win, the next I'd
lose a little, the next things just wouldn't quite come together, but it wasn't like... Things weren't going well, I mean, I don't know, everything in general seemed to be going nowhere. And it just so happened that in December of that same year, a Trading
House was organized, which was really great because I'd never had the opportunity to meet people who shared my interests in you know? And yes, it's true that, I don't know, I
have friends who can invest in the stock market and such, but I didn't have any close examples or friends who could say, "Can I share that I want to make a living from this, that I'm trading this, that I'm doing this?" And it's true that
I felt very welcomed. It also coincided with a week that was very good for the strategy I was fully implementing at that time, and I said, "Okay, I'm going to go for it ." And it all coincided with that, and that's when something
." And it all coincided with that, and that's when something kind of clicked, and I started to invest more capital, more positions, in the good opportunities. And well, since then, uh, well, by January 2025, I'd already
account I had at that time, which wasn't a huge account either. Okay, but it's three times, you know, I made $1,000 and since then, well, yes, it's true that I made a
pretty cool compounding effect. By May, I was already super happy because I had made, wow, I remember I made $6,000 one week and for me that was amazing, I was super happy. Also, there was a
market that, for my strategy, where I was almost all long in small caps, was almost all long in small caps, in stocks, was doing phenomenally well. And then, the Edu event happened, it gave me
to Edu, him saying, "Wow, you're doing incredibly well, I don't know what." and it gave me a huge boost of confidence, okay? Two a huge boost of confidence, okay? Two weeks later, I was in two stocks that
had an offering, okay? Of stocks, so basically I was in a long position, and basically, it... They crashed, they wiped out 40% of my account,
which, honestly, in monetary terms, isn't that much Yes, yes, I understand, but my account was around $1,000, I but my account was around $1,000, I had started with $1,000 and I didn't know how to
manage it, I mean, at that moment I didn't know how to manage it. Uh, I didn't admit that I had suffered a huge loss, with all that entails, that you have to reduce your position size because you're in a pretty big drag and you have to
, I mean, your mindset has to shift to a safer position. What do I mean by safe? Well, you have to trade with smaller positions, you're not comfortable trading, you're not trying to recover the money, okay?
Because I think that's what held me back the most. So, from having the account at $1,000, I reduced it, I mean, if I had lost about 40%, I reduced it to 8,000 or
$10,000. Okay, it just so happens that at that Okay, it just so happens that at that time, I had an investor, time, I had an investor, okay? And so I started to build data,
I mean, it's something I had been meaning to do for months , but I already had a portfolio of strategies I wanted to implement and all that. And well, right in July, okay?
After having a very, very low account balance, I started at the end of July. So, everything was going well. August was a little more steady, and then September arrived. In September, the account went from $30,000 to $80,000 and something, okay? And then
from September to October, okay? That's where one of the things that has defined my career during all this time happened: making almost $100,000 in October,
money, a lot of money, I'm aware of that. So, at that moment... Everything was going great for me, and then I made a mistake, okay? Since I hadn't quite sorted things out yet, or how should I
put it? I wasn't doing well with discretionary trading, I was also doing discretionary trading on the data account, which is something I strongly recommend. I mean, if someone has two different types of trading within their portfolio, whether it's
Forex, futures, stocks, or whatever, they shouldn't try to trade everything on the same account, okay? Why? Because the maximum investment isn't the same. If you try to do discretionary trading on a stock that you have in a data account, you won't be
able to manage it properly. And what happened? Well, from having the month closing at 97,000 two days away, I at 97,000 two days away, I had two consecutive losses
had two consecutive losses of 50k each day, one day 50k and the next day 50k. As you can see, traders, Borja is profitable today. It's very profitable, has had to take, the odyssey it
no one can knock you off that pedestal. But the truth, as we've seen, is that in a single day, a mistake, a change in the market, I don't know, anything can make all your years of work vanish, evaporate in
we find it very difficult to manage emotions at those levels, so as I afford to dedicate your entire financial future to trading. 're seeing that, but we must be aware and consistent with it and
parallel. That's why I always encourage you to do as I do and invest on the screen, I always use Freedom24. I've been showing you how I work with them for years. I invest in the L ETF, the cumulative S&P 500 ETF, which is the VAA, with the
goal of adding more positions each month , essentially doing a dollar-cost averaging (DCA) strategy so that in 20, 25, or 30 years my wealth will have grown aiming for a much more stable portfolio than with trading alone. I use
instruments I need to do this. There are over 40,000 stocks to invest in and more than 3,600 ETFs. And above all, something very important is key for me, is that when you buy a stock on Freedom24, you
if in the future that company were to cease to exist—because we're here for many years—you would still own the shares because the accounts are investor protection fund of up to €20,000, as mandated by European regulations, and it
European regulations. So, if you want to do as I do and start investing as soon as from potential events that may occur, Freedom24 is for you. Should this happen to us in trading, I below in the description of this video to open an account with
on screen, right now, until the end of April or so, they're giving away end of April or so, they're giving away worth up to $800 each if you open an account and top it up. It's completely free, so I can't think of
start investing, since they're giving you the shares. Even so, as I said, the description so you can review it carefully and make your decision. Start investing, trader, believe me. And how do you expect me to be, Victor,
after [laughs] those two days? I mean, I was like what have I done ? What have I done? I mean, you could see me, I was at rock bottom when
you started... Let's just imagine counting your chickens before they hatch, imagine, you're making, well, I mean, you're making $100,000 a month, Yeah, 200, the next 400.
millions, right? A million million, right? And you're also riding that wave of seems like everything is on track, and I understand, I understand.
happened to me, I think one thing I've been lucky about, and that at the time I didn't know how to lucky about, and that at the time I didn't know how to appreciate, is the people I have around me in the professional world, I mean, whether it's you,
Chavi, Joel, people you 've interviewed, right? And others who aren't, who are on Twitter, who are friends of mine and all that who are friends of mine and all that , right? What they have, I
personally... I took his advice when I should have, whether it was to reduce the size, not have so many hours of screen time, and enjoy life a little more ,
because at that moment when I thought I was riding the wave, that I could already put the label of trader on myself, I mean, they tell you, "Borja, what are you? I'm a trader, you know?" Know? Borja Trader had completely eaten me alive. I
mean, I don't know how to tell you. I mean, I would close my computer and then an hour and a half later I would be checking on my mobile phone how the stocks were doing, which had some data, I mean, systematic or
data, I mean, systematic or whatever, instead of resting or whatever . I mean, I noticed that after trading so much in my mean, whether with my family, with my girlfriend, with my friends, I mean, I
noticed that trading had completely consumed me . issue of identity, isn't it? When you end up mixing identities, you're no longer the looking for some kind of freedom, free time with trading,
're just Borja the trader, right? That's it, that's it. I mean, Borja, who was a friend, who I don't know what, who considers himself a cheerful person, like I consider myself, well, he has stopped being very cheerful and was
now, completely depressed, saying, "I 'm achieving it and even though I still have, in quotes, a lot of money in the quotes, a lot of money in the account, okay? Uh, I do
n't know if I'm going to make it." I mean, I was thinking that it had data. Well, registration, whatever, that it had been lost in the data, the data was going phenomenally, that if the discretionary one was no longer for me,
discretionary one was no longer for me, eh, that how can it be that when a trader says that he is trading the zone, he loses, in quotes, being in that zone and everything goes to hell. And I
and everything goes to hell. And I was at that time, uh, in November, uh, as I say, I hadn't finished taking the advice. Uh, I was at a point that I don't know, I'd say very depressive. Sorry to interrupt, Borja, but let's say you
get to November, you lose 100,000, right? Yes. I mean, in October October will end, that is, the month ended at -7 instead of +97 or +93, and, well, that's it, ending it at -7.
Okay. And when would the account balance be at that point ? Well, let's see if I think that in my Pic I would have the account at 170, I would have about $0,000, Okay. More or less. Yes, yes, yes. And so,
November arrives, and I do, I mean, I try to cover up the problems a little. I'm still doing discretionary trading on my large account, right? The one I dedicate to the systematic approach,
and yes, it's true that I have a period where I kind of improve a bit, okay? But since I 'm not mentally well and I'm experiencing a pretty significant drawdown at that moment , okay? And then it gets even worse , okay?
, okay? Uh, I don't finish, I mean, I go around the curve trying to reach the point where it is again, but since I'm not doing well emotionally, the slightest loss, well, it starts to
snowball. So, one day I lose and I see, damn, I see my curve and I see that it has and I see, damn, I see my curve and I see that it has completely dropped and a little bit from where it was already recovering and I say, "Okay, well let's push harder." Let's
rules, shall we ? You know? So what happened? The dragown got much , much bigger. And that month I ended up, I don't know if at some point I had it at plus
at some point I had it at plus 0.000 or something like that, ending it at minus 19 or honest. I would have to look into it, but at that point I was already Defeated, aren't you? Yes. Yeah, I didn't know what to do. I mean,
what do I do? And I say, well, I have to ask for outside help. You know, I think many times when one is really screwed up And I was screwed, I mean, I thought I was going to stop being a
trader, I mean, from being in an incredible position to literally seeing myself on the dragon position that I had, I know that they would like to be in the position have now, right? Correct.
Uh, but like, I looked like I was a with more people and my great friend Joel, okay?, who interviewed you here. He
told me, "Dude, why don't you seek professional help?" Know? Oh, and I also happened to meet Charlie, okay? That's great, you also 's a really great person and well, all that mix and starting
to talk a little more with you and talking with Xavi, with Charlie, with Joel, with all the people around me in general, uh, made me realize that my life as a trader didn't end here, okay? And if it's true that I had to
change things, then so that if things went badly for me at some point, okay? Or things could have been went badly for me at some point, okay? Or things could have been worse for me, or the situation I was in. Um, it's good to see that there's a light at the end of the tunnel, that it doesn't end here, that
tunnel, that it doesn't end here, that hm, life goes on, you know? In other words, whether you continue trading or not, you have to think about staying calm. And me, well, ever since I started with the first drawdown in
June, I mean, every month was a rollercoaster, I mean, I'd lose, but the next month I'd lose again, but the next month, okay, I start getting the data right and I start making so much money and, I don't know,
and I'm like, damn, I've never had a month of almost 50,000 euros and I'm like, "This is crazy. The next month 100, you know? Then I crash and burn." And it was literally, I mean, my
second stage of 2025 has literally been a roller coaster, low peaks. That's the point, it's not a roller coaster that's somewhat, I don't know, tolerable for a normal human being, but not everyone is capable
so quickly, you know? Clear. And I, well, the good and the bad that I've had is also, as we've talked about sometimes, the issue of becoming more doing. I mean, because the thing is, you see
numbers on the screen, some day, I don't know, you earn 40k or 20k or 15k, which are already very large numbers, well, I see numbers on the screen and I don't care
, you know? But then you realize that if you lose that money, well, that's real money. Like if you're in a paper trading or demo account, whatever you want to call it, it's
not real money, it's fictitious, and I can spend that money on living a great life for a whole year, or buying whatever, or saving it, or investing it long- term, whatever. And it's something I didn't realize, that I didn't value the money
as if it were completely like my network, I mean, my entire wealth, and that I could lose it at any moment, and that supposedly, since I wanted to be a trader, I was going to stop having that money and my
life as a trader wasn't going anywhere. In other words, he didn't value all of that. Yes, we've also talked about it before, and I think that in your case, and I think everyone situation that very few people have experienced at this level, what
too, but what you were saying before, which is your self-esteem, you know? Who you are, what you have projected yourself to be in the future, that gives much more. are talking frivolously about money. I understand, but
both understand, really, because we've talked about it many times and I think it's to hearing these kinds of figures because hopefully one day you'll be managing this kind of number of numbers, right? And it can happen
. The point is that nobody teaches you how to do it, nobody teaches you how to manage those numbers so quickly and instantly in real time, so even though losing money is very painful,
losing your ability to project yourself into the future is even more painful. That 's terrible. It's what you were saying before, it gives a moment when you think you've achieved your goal and in a flash, you're on
the opposite side. That's mentally criminal, huh, it's critical, critical. criminal, huh, it's critical, critical. Clear. And the topic of, I mean , I also want to say with this interview that, well , I think I am
when things are going well and when they are also going badly. I mean, what I want people to understand a little bit is that all traders seem to be idols, but I don't consider myself
people they may have on a pedestal or whatever, uh, they also have many problems, or don't think that a trader's career is a bed of roses, full of ease the moment you realize you're good enough,
uh, and everything goes smoothly. I mean, who would have told me that in the space of a year I would go from having everything to almost losing everything and then I would be back at I am now? Nobody says that, I mean, nobody imagines
that that could happen. 100% 100% and that's so people know, I mean, there may be other interviews from other channels or whatever that you see that wow, well it's
incredible, because I started with an account of 000 and I took it to 300,000 and wow, well now I live the life I want, and so on, I don't know what. But within that story there are many more things that he sometimes tries to cover up,
telling it. I agree. We were talking about appropriate message you can give, honestly. , I didn't start out making money, it didn't just come to me like that
started, that is, within the market I am currently in, I have progressed a little faster than other people. I mean, I am aware. digression. No, no, it's not that it's important, uh, and also if you don't mind and
allow me, I'd also like to pick it up a bit later, to talk about all this, social media about trading, what you really consider it to be, and as you path from zero to success, there are many good things, many stories,
think that needs to be conveyed. We can talk about that later if you want. That's it, I think it's fantastic. Well, it's coming, I think. Okay, so if you want, we can go over how it's been going a bit, shall we? November, nothing, horrible, I
ignore everyone and that's it, I'm closing the month. I was practically defeated. I had a drawdown in my account of, I think around, I don't know, I
always say it's 85%, but it could be even more, uh, I mean, I have no idea. Uh, I'm already screwed, I mean, screwed, screwed. It's true that I was lucky enough not to be in a really bad place, I mean, I was already in a
very bad way, but there was one thing that I remember Charlie telling me that I started to apply in September, which was the issue of making withdrawals, okay? Of course, the money that you have, that you've earned,
true that at the beginning I don't really recommend it , but when you're already making figures that could be much more than a normal salary in Spain or anywhere else, well, at least start pampering yourself a little or
in some way. What does it mean to pamper yourself? Well, I, for example, would take it out , I, who am lucky enough to still live in my parents' house, having all my needs covered,
okay? Well, having it is for enjoyment, I mean, money for enjoyment doesn't mean I'm going to blow all that money, okay? But those $1,500, well, I don't know , when I made that first spectacular month of $50,000, well, look, I was going out
to dinner with my girlfriend to celebrate. Well, if there was something I wanted to buy, or a trip, or a story, then I'd have it and do whatever it story, then I'd have it and do whatever it was. And if it's true, well, that made me feel
like if everything was already super screwed up, that there was something that at least started to compensate in some way for the fact that I was having such a bad time. Well, December is coming, isn't it? And so
I talk to you, uh, it's true that I try to calm down, I decide to put the discretionary aside a bit, to do what was giving me money up to that point, because I still hadn't figured out the discretionary aspect
. And I decide to just make it systematic, right? Uh, in December I decided to just do full systematic training, and I started making money. January is more of the same; I'm trying to get back into discretionary spending a bit, but I still don't
see myself at the right point. And well, if it's true that my account, well, if it's true that I have good systems and all this kind of thing, well, it starts to grow a little more little by little, right?
right? And then February arrives, and well, everything And then February arrives, and well, everything continues to go superbly. In February, I don't know if it's systematic because I make about 30-40% of my account, okay? I mean, that's
pretty cool. And well, it gets to what many people already know, that is, well, I see a stock, I like the price action and all that, and well, I make a trade that
literally lasted, well, I don't know, maybe a minute or 10 seconds, and I don't know if you missed it, Victor.
Forgive me, forgive me. Hm. So, well, that's it, it comes up, I action, I analyze the level 2 a bit, I analyze the TAS as I always do and it
has a behavior that I see that it's going to crash, right? All of this is within the fact that small caps, as many people will understand, tend towards zero, it is true that before reaching that point, they are usually born with
a news story, right? They tend to feide, don't they ? It's going to fall, but sometimes there's one where, like, the news comes out, it stays in a range and then it has a squeez and a push again, right? So, yes, it's true that for quite a few
months now there are many trades that I look for that are in the moment before he does that second squiz, right? Or a third or a fourth, huh ? And well, I see the price action, I say to myself, "Okay, well I'm going to set up a
long position and I don't know if I put in about 3000 shares and I thought I would make about then? Wow, I'd have to
check it for you, to be honest, because I don't remember. I minute and a half later I sold it at 55. It's
crazy. I'll be putting the image here, uh, if you want it's Px, right? It's Pix, okay? Plic, yes. Uh, and well, the truth is that at that moment I was talking to Charlie, okay? And we had both
done, well, we were talking about that trade at his academy because we were both looking at something quite similar and well, the truth is, it caught me off guard, I mean, I didn't understand what was happening, I mean, to be
completely honest, I mean, I didn't know what was going on. So, I know what was going on. So, I make the trade, I put my trade on the zero candle and on the one candle it's the one that runs and
I see how level 2 and the and the and the T go crazy. Uh, there's no higher level, I mean, no one who wants to sell you shares, and
the ASK line was completely empty and I said, "No, I don't know what's going on. All sell now." I mean, I don't know, I mean, it's becoming like the 'm talking about climbing, right? That rescaling. Yes,
course. I mean, I'm trying to, uh, capture something that happened in a second, people will say, "Damn, it's just that you do n't see this, I don't know what." I mean, I'm talking about something that happened in seconds, and if I'm used to it, well,
after the crazy things I did in October and all these stories, uh, uh, doing operations of at most $000, $0000, okay? I suddenly see that it's going
sell now, I have to sell, I mean, I wanted to sell anywhere, I didn't care . Whether I did 2000, 5000, 10,000, it didn't matter to me , you know? And then I grab the stream day quickly, sell, and say, "No, I don't know what
happened." So, I look at the NLP and see six figures and I say, "I can't It's crazy. Oh my God, how awful. I mean, what a [ __ ] outrage. And the important thing is what comes
after this, okay? That's what I failed to manage in October, okay? After having one, I mean, getting one because this is getting a Black in your favor, understand. In October I also caught a Black in my
overconfidence as well, as I mentioned, to trade discretionally in my mentioned, to trade discretionally in my data account, okay? Uh, and well, data account, okay? Uh, and well, what I did here was, hm, I'm going to stop
trading with a lot of systematic trading, which is what I did, and I didn't systematic trading, which is what I did, and I didn't trade anymore that day. Uh, I had a conversation with Charlie about , dude, what do I do? Know? So,
uh, going back to what I said about retreats, I said to him, "Charlie, what do I do?" And he tells me, "Dude, withdraw a percentage of the account." I mean, I don't care if it's percentage of the account." I mean, I don't care if it's 20 or 30%, but take back
some of what you just did, okay? because it's a lot of money. So, well, yes, I did because it's a lot of money. So, well, yes, I did withdraw it and, well, now the thing is that my mind, since I didn't do it in October, has
to understand that this is a moment, that is, that it's unlikely to happen again that I'll catch it. I mean, it's true that it's happening more often lately, but it's relatively rare, like, for
the trade to go way up and then recover downwards in the same candlestick and you're just one of the last to get out, you That rarely happens again. So, my mind, what did it do? It erased
this from the books, I mean, it's a unique moment, it's a gift. It is indeed a gift, not going to expand; I will continue to trade it
will continue to trade it with, in quotes, a small amount of money. I don't intend, eh, if Pillson is in my favor, that I make 150k almost the next day, to trade as if my trades were for 150k, okay? and treat it completely
normally and within the constraints of what's available, right? But on a technical level, on a mental level, it's overconfident and think you have a magic wand, okay? And after
this you're going to keep making spectacular trades because it doesn't work that way. That is, my trading is not black. Total, total, total. That last . I mean, a lot of people, caught up in the
hadn't gone through, I think, I don't know how you see it, because of what we were saying earlier, those rollercoaster stages where you see heaven and then hell, I think it would be much harder to manage something like what you're
doing now, you know? It's difficult, it's difficult because, I mean, it's true that I've been used to seeing big days, right? From 10k, 20k, even 40k, uh, but then you have a six-figure day and if it's true that, as
we say, I mean, if I'm kind of sensitized to seeing five- figure days, seeing six-figure days, well, that's a lot of money, you know? And I'm not, I mean, I'm somewhat sensitive to big days, well, super big days, well,
So, you have to slow down , you have to objectively analyze what has happened and that your life goes on, you are lucky that it is a gift, because I see it as a gift. You also have to be aware, I
mean, I'm aware that I never, I mean, at no point in that stock did I high, okay? But there's also the fact that I'd be there , man. I totally understand. It's like when I was there in October and saw something in stock, and I just can't remember the one on the
ticketer. I say that's the PRC, but I don't think it's exactly the same one that left in October, I do n't know if he went on strike in 20, appeared in 60 and was around 60 and something, you know? And I sold, I don't know if I bought it at 15 and sold it
at, I don't know, 60 when it opened. I mean, if I who knows what I would have done. No, I'm not going to pretend I'm going to make a mountain out we discussed about all this. And so, the point I'm at
now is a point where I'm very fortunate, I mean, I'm grateful for it because, as I've mentioned, my life around this
professional world, okay?, which is trading, has been a rollercoaster and now I really value peace of mind. So , for me, you're asking what matters most, like, what you're happiest about, or what you consider success, or
things like that, and value peace of mind. I mean, if I go from doing months of, I don't know, now, well, I don't know, 30, like I might be doing now, or 50, whatever, to doing months of 5K, which is still a
lot of money, I value continuing to have the lifestyle I have, uh, continuing to, I don't know, I mean, 'm just doing the data, many days it's just executing and I forget about it,
okay? And I might be doing other things or whatever, well, there are days when I even play PlayStation while I've been trading, which a lot of people will say, "Wow, how sleepy." Know? And I'm at the point where I'm
starting to appreciate it. I mean, I don't want to find myself in that situation again, even though I was happy with the job I had before, and like I said, for my age I was earning a bit more than
average, I don't want to go back to being in an office, you know? And I have to protect everything I have today, you know? Right now I can't, I can't see myself pushing myself too hard, for example, 50k, two days of 50k
you know? I would still be alive, yes, but I don't want to see myself in that thesis again. And well, right now, that's it: And well, right now, that's it: peace, joy, and
well, on with it. I don't know where I'll be at the end of the year, but in terms of numbers, my goal is to stay calm. I won what I won. That's spectacular. That's why I mentioned at the beginning that your case is very special,
right? In the sense that you've experienced in a very short time things that many people haven't experienced in years in trading, or that they may never experience because the figures are very high for someone starting out, for
someone who is still tolerating, as we were saying before, the levels of risk and money; it's a radical change in just a few years, isn't it? I don't know how you approached this, but we'll look into it a little more. Don't worry,
is a bit more historical, right? More emotional. Now we'll talk about important. I'm making the disclaimer; I think Borja has made it clear as well. This does not mean that it is replicable, nor that you have to look for this, nor that this
is easy at all. Uh, I think this channel is also somehow identified by the fact that I've taught all kinds of spectrums. Uh, Borja in this case is a case where his work has led him to this point. I mean, this isn't
luck, it's not like you suddenly arrive one day, open the chart, like the snake oil salesmen tell you, a process of evolution that has had its ups and downs, that has taught you many
introspect, and that in the end you have to be there hitting the keyboard, the Stream Deck, so that when the opportunity arises that can some way, you have to be there beforehand, having taken 10,000 shots
before, you know? or because otherwise you don't take that risk or analyze it that that we are trying to trivialize what is happening. said that, I think you and I share the same thing, uh, how does it
psychological level, how does that change feel? Because we're talking about going from zero to 100 in a very short time , right? You ask me how you experience that, how it's my environment, and you yourself, I mean both you and those
in your environment. For me, I mean, if we go back a year or a year and 3 months, I mean, I've gone from doing 50 days if I'm lucky to doing
lucky to doing 10,000 days or so, and no, I mean, your head is like, I mean, the advantage I've had is, as I say, since I've had little well, the numbers, in quotes, is that I've always wanted more, right? Because I
damn, I've always wanted more, I've always wanted more. wanted more. Uh, and if it's true that I've more or less handled it normally, okay? Because sometimes it's really hard to see yourself from the
outside, you know? How others see it. I mean, they ask me like they ask people trading sector, there are people who know me or colleagues and such, they say to me, "Damn, you bastard, you've been really successful and damn, how much money
and damn, how much money do you make and all that." And well, to my more familiar circle, it does shock me a bit because you could see me before trading, not withdrawing anything, right? I mean, I was lucky that my
parents gave me a little bit of money, you know, to pay for gas or if you want to have a drink with your friends, so that I can be withdrawing a salary every month, so that I have created a cool asset for my
age, because damn, I'm 25 years old and I'm turning 25 and turning 25 and all that. So, it shocks them a bit. So, if it's true that I'm now going to stop being a tax resident in
going to stop being a tax resident in Spain and my parents don't understand anything, you know? And well, if everything shocks him in the space of a year, you know? Well, I hope everything goes as quickly as possible for them, you know? Change. Absolutely, absolutely.
Yes. And for me, well, it's true that when I look back I say, "Damn , I've achieved some really cool things, you know?" But because you're in the day-to-day grind, same way, you know?
when you're making a physical change, right? Maybe someone was thinking the start a physical change, you're at day zero, and you see yourself every day, and you get to day 365, and you, of course, have seen that process, that change, every single day, and
therefore it's not so shocking for someone who sees you from 0 to 365. It's not totally, totally, totally. And earlier you asked me something that I find very have a low risk tolerance. Have you ever wondered why? I mean,
Because, uh I don't know if you think the same way, but nobody can scale. small cups, and it's a very volatile market, a market with many opportunities, a lot of edge, and obviously the context helps. Then there's
the technical aspect that you have to develop, that's where the tweaks, you've achieved in terms of data, discretionary trading, comes in. But then there's mean, not everyone, even with the technique, the right
place, the right context, scales the way you have, the way you've scaled. So, what do you think makes the head at that level of risk? Well , I think several factors come together. I mean, it's true that since I was about 16, I've seen, I mean, I've had
different small businesses, and it's true that for a 16-year-old...
seen money like before, okay? Like a small foundation in that sense. Then, it's true that, as I mentioned, I had an education, I mean, I have an education, I had a plan B to continue with a master's degree and then eventually return to the
plan B to continue with a master's degree and then eventually return to the if trading hadn't been profitable , okay? And the thing is, right now, well, at that time all my needs were met. You
context, my age. When I started, I was When I started, I was 20, 23, yeah, when I started with Small Cups, okay? I'm 23 years old, and well, I always have
food on the table, I have a roof over my head, and I've had that little bit of support from my family until I achieved this. If I could start working in the field I studied
in my master's degree or whatever, it would be at ease. I mean, having a plan B—I'm not going to starve—and being someone with an education who already has experience in the
professional world, someone I can bring back if this doesn't started, I said, "I'm going to give myself a year, you know?" And I said, "I'm going to give myself a year, you know?" And I started in June or July of 2024
started in June or July of 2024 and I said, "I'm giving myself a year." I thought, "If I give myself a year and see the numbers start to add up, that I'm making money and all that." that I'm making money and all that." Well, I'm going to focus a lot on this and
forget about the other thing. If after a year I see that I've tried, but I don't see myself being able to make things work out, well, I'll just get back to my life and at least that thorn in my side tried, will never stay with me , you know? Because I was also
you know? You know, I didn't have the opportunity to try and prove that I was really good at this? And I am also very aware that I have been have always trusted me. That's important,
you know? My family, my friends, I don't know if it's because they see something in me or because, I don't know, it's the typical thing that is said, whatever , but they have always told me, if that after many years of, well,
yes, since 2019, since I started with Small Cups or whatever, uh, me putting my cards on the table and really putting in the effort, I have finally done it . Excellent. And that's what I'm saying, if you have a context or your
girlfriend who, well, yes, my girlfriend who has always supported me and has been a very strong pillar when I was going through a bad time, and supporting me, telling me that I could do it, that supporting me, telling me that I could do it, that things would work out, and all that makes you
say, I mean, not give yourself overconfidence, but rather say, "Are you It's a safety net, isn't it? It's like, you know? Absolutely, absolutely. It's much , to jump into the void when you know there's a parachute, isn't it?
And that always helps you jump, right? Because if you're not afraid, right? And see trading as just that, right? As a last hope, like I have to, if I don't get this, uh, my life is over because I need money and that's where the
climb. So, I think what you do is spectacular. you do is spectacular. Total. And also, to really convince yourself that when you increase the number of positions you take, the size and all
these things, I mean, I think a trader who wants to scale their account should always be uncomfortable, okay? And when I say being uncomfortable, it's like, I mean, I'm going to make a weird analogy, but it's like being comfortable
while being uncomfortable, I mean, your zone is, uh, being uncomfortable all the time. I okay? And if you see that as normal, like, "I have to increase the risk or the size or however people want to define it," well, that's what's required and that's it
. In other words, I can't even think , I can't negotiate with myself. Basically, the moment you overthink is when you're going to fail or something like that, meaning you ca n't negotiate with yourself.
going to do it anymore, or you start to have doubts. Yes. And above all, many traders feel very comfortable, as you said, in a specific area where they are perhaps making enough money, and therefore they settle there because there is
a mix of internalized fears from outside, right? Perhaps they're relating the idea that maybe they don't deserve more money than that, maybe they haven't yet unlocked the idea that it's possible to earn that much, which is also important in this Roger Bister
achieve it might open the door for you to say, "Wow, that can be done." Many people don't have it either. I don't know, there are many, many elements there that make many people stay in that comfort zone you mentioned, of not generating
interesting, that you have to keep pushing upwards, I mean, you know you're doing well, that you're in a privileged position and yet you still climbing, right? That's brutal. So, if there comes a time when you're hopefully
making several million a year, then I think that's when you want to stagnate, you know? Because money, I mean, if I have it, I'll just make it up, I extreme example, okay? From having 100 million to having 500 million euros or dollars
or whatever, your life isn't going to change, you know? So, if it's true that you prefer, um, I don't know, mentally not to be exposed to constantly increasing your size and the possibility of entering a much larger category when you're already
established enough, at that point I think you can start to consider not mean, I think that your sizes or positions or whatever at the beginning, if it's true that they have to tend to be much more
exponential when creating a compound effect, okay? But once you reach a certain level, you have to gradually lower that size, you know? Because, n't want to lose the status, in quotes, that you've achieved through profits,
you know? Or whatever people want to call it , but, I mean, at the beginning it does have to and then it also has to decrease, I mean, I don't know how people want to approach it, okay? But, like, the point is that when it comes to
plan, okay? In my case, uh, for the discretionary one when I made such a good compound effect and all that stuff, okay? It was about creating a size increase schedule with some conditions, okay? So,
uh, I did something silly, literally. I took HGBT and said, "Hey, look, I have I took HGBT and said, "Hey, look, I have this money, okay? And I want to, well, okay? Until December of this year, okay? So, I set a series
of conditions, okay, well, my account has to be at this point, uh, it can't which is what we call it, well, it ca okay? Because normally, when we trade and the
strategy we follow at that moment, Chavi or whatever, well, it's not a strategy that, since it has a high win rate, doesn't tend to see a really bad day, okay? So, we set it to be 8% of the account in my
case, okay? And it was like four risks a month. I mean, if I have an account of, let's say , $1,000, okay?, well, I had a risk of 80, well, at the moment I do that same month,
, okay? And if I followed the steps, well, I saw myself in December ending up making $100,000. I'm making it up, okay? [sighs] But in my head, instead of seeing at that moment, which is what the whole
seeing, well, in December I'm going to end up with this money, okay? What I did was, "Okay, well, let's say you don't reach that last point and you stay at that last point and you stay at step x of, I don't know, instead of if in
December it said that you end the account with $100,000, well, let's say you end up at step x in September, you know?" If you have 40,000 in September, is that okay? Well, I'd be happy Look, it started with an account of $1,000 and now I have $40,000,' you know?
So I organized myself that way to follow the parameters and all that. Then, in terms of data, well, for example, I raise the risk and all these kinds of cases, I mean, things, from one day to the next. In other words, if my
account balance is 100K and I lose $1,000 overnight, I'll just put it in overnight, I'll just put it in my Excel spreadsheet, in my other stuff. I subtract it and it strategy I have in the portfolio. So, that's the
Because you can create a compound effect much faster than with discretionary methods, because you have much more confidence in easier to follow a pre-established protocol than to do it in real time, is
Exactly. Yes of course. So, to me, systematic than discretionary, because as it says, following a system
tells me I have to do this and there's no other way of looking at know? There is no double interpretation; it's not "you have to do this, you have to do that could you share, so people can get a better idea
how you execute both discretionary and systematic trading, an example of your operations, for example, some specific strategies? I'll share, I'll share the screen, okay? true that I haven't been sharing too much lately,
okay? But well, it's true that, let's see, the pls trade we were said, the previous graph, I mean, it's literally, yes, it's a line, I mean, you can't see it, okay? And that's what I'm saying, these things don't happen, I
mean, this is something momentary and you don't see it again , I mean, crazy. Another new black swan also passed by a couple of days ago , didn't it? For example, yes, Lucas got caught, the bastard. I wish, I really wish I had
caught it too, but well, I mean, it's operational aspects that I'm talking about a bit, I mean, right now , look, this is Imte, about it, I mean, this is kind of the type of trade that I sometimes like to
type of trade that I sometimes like to look for, I mean, I like to look for it, but also, I mean, I'm giving some examples of it working out well, I mean, people don't think that this always works out perfectly, right? Uh, so, well, this thing
that might have had news, I don't remember. I the date a bit, eh, that it pulls, it stays a bit in the volume, right? Above Bwap. If it's true that
, as I say, she has already shown strength, and I want her to demonstrate that strength again, well, she'll show it and I want her to demonstrate that strength again, well, she'll show it and flaunt it, right? Bigua area, for example, is building the position. In other words, every time you see a
decision, you increase the size and add more position. Clear. In other words, the thing is that the issue of how I execute it is somewhat about price action. I also like to look at the float that the
stock has for me. I've always been pretty good at discretionary sphere, it's those with little float who are the ones who have been affected, okay? Because they tend to have much more erratic movements, okay?
Regarding the issue of the disposition of since there's less of it, people tend to own fewer shares, right?
So it tends to have much more aberrant movements, right? And that translates to the squeezes being bigger , the stocks running faster many , the stocks running faster many times, and so on. So, that's it, I
often look for stocks that have shown that they lose volume, which shows me that there are no people willing to drive them down, okay? And all the sorts in this case, well, they're waiting for something to happen,
okay? When I say something happens, I mean someone else comes along and, like I said, throws it away, but since nobody comes, sometimes these crazy things happen, right? Um, then also, as
we were saying, uh, I had a time when I didn't trade, I didn't trade well, I mean, I did crazy things with discretionary trading, and it's something that I really, I mean, like to talk about, okay? Because, I mean, you see the reality
of the moments I've lived through and that sometimes I do crazy things, okay? So, I want to show this graph, okay? Which is quite a lot. I mean, here where you see so many little arrows, well, there's even a
white band here because of all the arrows representing the prices I've eaten, okay? So, this was a penny stock at that time, okay? 60 cents. Well, I ended up having both short and long positions at one point, like
holding 200,000 shares, I mean, some What I've said, of course, about what I've said about the right thing, you know? And here you can see how I literally move the price of
the stock, you know? And that's crazy. But how do you make the selection in this case of which stock to trade? Do you have a protocol that you always ? In this case it is true that I had free commissions, okay?, with
the broker, otherwise this madness would have cost me, without exaggeration, $2,000 or $3,000 to do this stupid thing, or $3,000 in commissions, right? But it's true that the stock selection, well , it depends a bit because now, since I do
n't consider myself to follow an exact operation, I mean, it's true that I exact operation, I mean, it's true that I recycle from time to time, I do a bit of what Charlie does, I make trades that I see how they are, that catch my attention and
that, in quotes, I don't see that anyone else has as if they have it very selected in their playbook, right? So I'm still kind of following the idea that they have it because I consider myself a better long trader than a short trader, I mean, I'm being honest and that's
also why I started with data and stuff, because before I started executing data, you could see practically all the trades I made and I hardly ever made short trades. If it's true that, I mean, I think that back in June, July,
at least for me, uh, he stopped watching the longs that I took advantage of so much, good few months, and if I had continued doing things, well, it's larger account, okay? But I, for example, don't consider myself a good
short trader. The thing is, with longs, I do look for something that has good news about it, you know, not just news that they're going to change the ticker name
powerful, right? And that's also very much reflected in price action. If there's any has a very good volume, I see a very high speed very good volume, I see a very high speed within the CAS. I see that level 2
can be moved easily, which makes it easy for me to recycle if I want to , okay? Well, these are stocks that at least have a chance of being traded, okay? Let's see, I'm going to give
some more examples. For example, what I have searched for a lot, which is what I mentioned earlier before starting the talk, what I highlighted a lot when I was just doing
recycling is how to look for intravela entries, right? I mean, I don't remember this exact stock, but it could easily be one of things like that, right? Because this recycling thing, then I get all worked up , short, right? And all these
Uh, but for example this entry, well that has a fairly high price, well I see, well, it already tends to have much more volatility, I mean, it has made a candle here, I don't know if from the 16 to the 20, okay? Well,
I try to make this kind of thing seem like it might have gone to a breakout, it does a deep in the same candle. I'm talking about this in seconds, okay? I'm trying okay? There's someone shorting there who's taking advantage to exit, or another long position like mine who's
moving liquidity around, okay? So I buy it at that moment and the stop loss moves a little, right? And yes, it's true that I started noticing this, I think in January of last year, okay? And well, as always, in quotes, I've done
know why sometimes I don't put the graph, well, uh, the whole thing. I'm sorry, the idea you're saying isn't clear, right? When you little to your total. Sure, sure. So, that's it,
then crazy money from some stock and stuff, okay? Uh, as I mentioned, well, September was crazy, I mean, at that moment I was going crazy. My first day
over five figures, uh, and that. So, I'd like to look for something, uh, see if I can find any of my old charts. Well, this is a rapier that's jalted, right? In
recycling, right? But I'd like to bring up some that you buy without working, huh? Well, wow, this was crazy. I don't know this, but hey , this is recycling here. I think this is May. If I had continued
trading, I think that, I mean, if I had started trading like I was trading now here, maybe I could have caught this move with a bit more probability , but well, we can't talk about the past without knowing what happened
always emphasized a lot, if it's true that I stopped doing it, because I think there comes a point where you no longer need to prove with money what you do and so on, and I've always been very inclined to be transparent, I mean, with
bigger or smaller, I mean, in March of last year, well, so people can see, I mean, I was making $100 and I was, well, super happy. That's something in the Small Cups community, I mean, if you don't think the same, but that's where it
trading communities, there isn't that kind of transparency where you show what you do every day, how much you earn, how much you lose, don't you see it that way? Yes, yes, yes. I mean, what you just said seems completely true to me
because I think that, I mean, I'm not saying that in Forex and mean, I'm not saying that in Forex and futures and such there aren't people who can win or lose, but I see that there are many
more real traders who aren't just in the know within stocks in general or more within the small cap niche, you know? small cap niche, you know? I notice that nobody is trying to put on a show. It
a pretty small community know each other, I mean, we don't have to lie. The moment someone tries to lie even a little, everyone knows it, and there's no way around it
knows it, and there's no way around it the thing is, Forex can be based a lot on, well, a Lambo here , I don't know what. I work from the beach.
Uh, I earn 3 million a year and well, in futures it seems a bit mixed to me, right? There are a few snake oil salesmen and other people are on all three levels. Yes, yes, it's true. Yes, the truth is that I think it goes something like that
Absolutely, absolutely. I don't know if you wanted to share any more examples or, well, let's see, the thing is, it's what I was saying a little bit, that sometimes I just went up, I don't know if, well, here you can see the pure recycling that I do, for
example, here in the same candle, buying, as I mentioned, you know? In other words, buying a lot of it in the same candle. In other words , I have a lot of executions, a lot of executions. I mean, these stocks existed quite a bit before, I
day, you know? Imagine it popping up in the premarket and having a super-bullish trend all day long, you know? And what I think I've also done very well over this time is to categorize the
issue of setups and what to risk in each play. How do you do that? like how different a plus of one that isn't so Sure, for example, when there might be a breakout, okay? As it may be in
this case, I mean, here I tend to include a lot . Because? Because I think it's more likely that there will be an upward movement, uh, it tends to be more moment, right? It tends to be much larger in the case there is
larger in the case there is one, okay? And if I see that these entries aren't working quickly, I remove them, because if there's a short position, buy or whatever, I usually do it quickly and don't tend to mess around
here. No, there's no doubt. I don't see any hidden vendors in the TAS that aren't visible at level 2, all that stuff, right? And when I see that the trend might not be so bullish anymore, well, if for example I'm
entry, I make it up, like 1000 shares, okay? Well, I'll lower it to, say, shares, okay? Well, I'll lower it to, say, 400, okay? The point is to the movement you want is more likely to be seen, or if you
bounce, okay? For example, I mean, the entries I can make here, I don't know if my... uh, I mean, the entries that I'm making here, okay? Although this trend might come back later, they're not
the same size as the ones I've mentioned here, or at times when I think it's going to go up, right? Because it is true that, zero, okay? There comes a time when the party ends,
okay? In this case, in this stock, the party didn't end and went on all afternoon, right? Of course , it's something like that, but it's not usually common. So, there comes a time when the party's over, and if you
're in it while it's falling, you distinguish when that might happen to you and when the real money is there, and that's when you have to step on the
video, an anecdote from Lance Brenstein that makes many poker players, when they have certain probabilities, right?, of winning, obviously, but it happens to them, especially when... what
differentiates a BER player who wins from one who is very good and has right? Knowing you have a setup that allows you to identify your "plus" setup, the one you need to push, and not being afraid to push it because it will
happen rarely, less often than you'd like. The other setups help you gain points, they might help you stay in the game, but they won't see this the same way. That's it, I see it, I see it exactly the same
fall, if I, for example, am putting in the same size as when I see that it can do a breakout or something, here after this drop from 14 to 11, I would be completely screwed. In other words, I
would be conditioning all the profits here. Besides, the thing is that recycling, I mean, that's why I liked it, or rather, I started to vary things a bit, okay? Because superb. Well, mentally it helps to
have a high win rate and all that, but if you don't know how to identify it properly, sometimes when the know how to identify it properly, sometimes when the profits, even leave you in the red, okay? In this case, it
destroys you mentally, you know? So, um, let's try to see what the weakness is in that, okay? and try to replace it as with other trades or other setups that you don't consider in recycling . Of course, it's a portfolio.
trying to have a much more diversified curve by seeking different edges super smart to me. So, for example, how many setups or operating at the same time today? Uh, regarding data, well, let's see, I don't know if you
both are discretionary. If you want, we can do it in blocks, right? In data, for worth? So, in terms of data, it's true that I had five strategies, okay? And there was one that, it's true, did n't have a sample, like, supergre,
okay? But it was making me money, I mean, it had a pretty good curve, it didn't go into drawdown very easily and if it did, I tended to recover it very but right when I was doing so well in September and
October, that strategy stopped working and I had, within what I was risking, about a 5% drawdown, okay? Well, it started dropping to 10%, and at that point I stopped using it because that wasn't normal, and then it
never recovered from 10%, and now I checked it recently and it's around 15% down and it hasn't recovered, you know? And then, discretionary, uh, yes, it 's true that I trade different setups, I mean, a setup that I really like
. The thing is, I'm honest and the whole shorts thing, like I So, I've always looked for the L theme. I'm aware that right now the market isn't in the same conditions as it was in 2024 and 2025 until
mid-year, and I often find it difficult to find the longs I used to find before, with more momentum, with a clearer trend. and all these things. So, you could say that the
clearest setups I tend to trade on Longson are the BWAP Bounce, right? The idea is that if your stock is decreasing, you kind of ride the wave, buying and selling just as it rebounds,
right? And the breakout, right? That's the one that has always given me the most money, I mean, the BWAP, well, it gives money, but the one that breakout. And then look a little bit for that, well, that Charlie calls him, which I
think I can also call him, Billy Long, right? It's a long, uh, kind of silly, that's what I'm telling you, that has shown the stock a bit of strength, right? This one down here could be an example, right?
The stock shows you that it fluctuates, it falls, it goes back to the area a bit, it doesn't quite figure goes back to the area a bit, it doesn't quite figure loses volume, okay? Look around this area and cast a long line here and see if it works out, there are
many times when it doesn't, right? And this can continue downwards, okay? But try to take advantage of your entire rise interrupting, always below technical zones, or is it a matter of NLP
or how you do it. The thing is, it's usually a bit of a technical area that I see in terms of price, okay? many times and also see how, I mean, upwards, put, I mean, I also tell you that the TPS and where to exit and this, I
mean, no, it is not decided, I put an exit here and I exit, right? The thing is, I see the tas a bit, I say, well, I'll go up here , okay? If, for example, I see the TAS is very heavy, the
level 2 isn't, the volume still isn't showing up, and I see it starting to drop from this area and maybe it's fiddling around here, I say, well, I'm going to take it out because that's exactly what I don't want in a long, I want agitation, I want
nervous, right? It's like things quickly and get out of there, you know? In other words, you can't, you can't even think about it. And when there's time to think
think about it. And when there's time to think that everything is dying and all that, it's same thing I say when there's a breakout. The breakout has to be you know? Or it usually tends to be clean, meaning people don't have to
think twice about whether to go out or not. It's like, I just go out and that's it, you know? And the trade work, I mean, I'm right in an area where it's likely to fail and I bought at a really high price, you know? And if it starts to go down, I
could lose a lot of money at this point, and that's not the Total, total. And I also wanted to ask you about the number of trades, for calculated?
Wow. Well, the thing is, since there are so many executions, well, let's imagine that a trade is defined as the first trade you launch and the last one you close. Uh, well, maybe, I don't know, 200 or 300
mean, you wouldn't know. It's true that as a result of creating data, the selective, okay? And all these months I've probably lowered it to, I do n't know, maybe 100 trades at most,
80 trades, okay? But, but since right now a large part of everything I 'm getting out of trading, well, a large part, I mean, is
the issue of data, and with data there are days when you can make, let's make an example absolutely nothing, you know? Yes, yes. So, within the discretionary aspect, I would more or less highlight those three setups that
have somewhat shaped the course of my trading. That's to wrap this up, you can stop sharing now if you want, I also wanted to ask about the issue of, uh, many people wonder
screen, right? Because let's imagine that someone wants to learn how to do what systematic and discretionary. I understand that the exposure the ways of operating. Can you explain that a little bit?
Well, the issue of screen time is something that I've gradually reduced over time. I mean, when I started learning, I was obviously fascinated to see someone who was actually making money and
I mean, there's a person who literally... if the market... I mean, this is talking about Spain Time compared to New York Time, right? From the premarket, and opening and closing, uh, well, it could be that I started at
11 in the morning, right? An hour after the pre-market opened, I still had pm. Do you know why? Because I was incredibly eager to learn everything I could, to understand and grasp everything I could, I was the
first one who wanted to be there. Uh, then as I started to earn money, I rarely stayed past 6 pm or so, okay? And it started, I don't more or less around 11, although there weren't many opportunities at that time. And
currently, well yes, it's true that I'm the first one there in terms of the premarket, but at 4 pm I close and I don't have the nerve hours a lot. Uh, many times while the market
is open, I set alerts and start doing something else, or as I said, I start playing on the console or do something else, something with data that I have to queue or anything, I mean, no. The thing is, uh,
as [sighs], I've gotten very comfortable with being relaxed and taking advantage of the economic status I 've achieved in trading, saying, be relaxed, you know? And if there's a day when I don't want to work looking for new
strategies or optimizing anything , I don't." how important it is to learn how to live too, right? Let's talk about what we've The problem, Victor, is that when you achieve that,
share it, you have a hell of a lot of it, and now I'm at the point where I think I've already achieved it, or at least partly, okay? And as I've already shared and all this, your mind, I mean, if it's
in this mode, I mean, if you 're normally here right now, at spectacular ecstasy and your mind has to return to normal, so right now I'm back in normal mode. In other words, as I mentioned, I can treat myself to a
as I mentioned, I can treat myself to a luxury from time to time. Uh, I'm leaving tomorrow, I'm Excellent. Uh, three weeks to work from there. In other words , the point is, as I mentioned, now I'm looking for complete peace and quiet;
screen time is no longer an option. In addition, I set up a program, you know, typical tricks that I 've mentioned to you before, so that your mind doesn't play tricks on you . I downloaded a program called Col Turkey that prevents you from
It's really good afterwards, but after a certain time I'm not, I mean, if I lose my mind and I'm sitting down more, it's like a one, you know? A double , indeed , the word just wouldn't come out. a
firewall that tells you, "Hey, it's about time you woke up and [laughs] went to rest, take a walk, be with your girlfriend, because as I said, without her I wouldn't be where
That's great, man. That's great, really. Hey Borja, dude, to wrap things up, seen the movie 'Prisoners to the Future'?" Uh, yes. Okay. Hey, you can have a DeLorean there, right? With a DeLorean you go back in
option, right? They put a DeLorean at your door, you take it, you go to Borja a few years ago and give him some advice that you think would be very necessary or useful for Borja to be in the position he is in
faster. Uh, what would you say to him/her? Well, I would tell him that it's good to sometimes obsess over things, okay? But as I mentioned in the okay? But as I mentioned in the interview, there are other things in life,
okay? I mean, money, we all think we all come here for the money, okay? But there comes a point when money isn't the primary goal, you know? Once you achieve it, your real goal should be to reach a point where you
mentally say, "I've done it, now I'm just focused on enjoying where now I'm just focused on enjoying where I am now and, above all, taking advice from I am now and, above all, taking advice from people who know what they're doing." I've
talked about this a lot with Chavi and Charlie, people who have three or four times as much screen time as I do, and at that time I don't think I saw them as the figures I see them now. It's true that I
consider them not just colleagues, but friends, okay? Because they've been there for me during some really But I should have also seen them not as equals, but as people who but they have something I don't: experience. They've lived through
difficult times like Charlie and Chavi, okay? Within trading, I thought that wasn't for me, that I was far superior to the advice they gave me . I had an ego crisis, saying, "No, I've
reached this point, I can't stop being..." " This." You know? And not admitting where I was and not admitting that sometimes you have to do things that cause a lot of pain, okay? But if you do it in the long run, you'll see that everything works out completely.
That's great, you know? And that's so people can see the curve a bit, I mean, my curve isn't crazy, okay? I mean, it looks like before didn't have Kinfo, okay? But anyway, he connected it and you can see
that, as I say, the graph in this case also gets small, right? Like in the but anyway, you can see that here I reach almost $0,000 and here, as it starts to go down, down , down, I start with the data, it recovers a bit, down, down, down, down in
August, which was also a complicated month for the data, it recovers quite a bit, I don't have a trade where I caught this Blackson guy who, well, he almost made a profit 40K on that trade. Uh, I recovered, and well, you can see the
backlash, right? From what happened critical days, right? Yeah, those two crazy days. Uh, like I said, I tried to recover, and I took a huge hit, and at this point, well,
look, from being here, I don't know, wow, I do n't know if it shows up. I had 50,000 in NLP profits, and at this point, well, look, $2,000, I mean, so
, okay? And then, well, from then on I practically started doing data analysis, recovering little by little until, well, what happens, happens . It's true that lately the
discretionary trades, but well, I'm still happy. That's great, man. Okay, although, as I said, so, well, that's about it. In I really appreciate it, Borja. I think a lot of people have listened carefully to
really taken away some gems, especially on a psychological level, we were talking about before recording, before starting the talk—is to convey reality. There are 're experiencing is a sweet spot, but you do n't get there for nothing; you go through
really tough times, you know, not everything that glitters is gold, and that has to be conveyed. There I'm sure, will fall into two categories here: those who, or think it's just luck, or whatever. That's
people because everyone has their own pace. I want to address those who know they're on that path too, but who perhaps think it's easier than it really is, you know? And because you're a clear example
That in the end, even though you've experienced all time. You've experienced a lot in a very short time, but just because you've done it in such a everyone will be the same. What I want to convey to you is that if someone
I want to convey to you is that if someone like you, who was prepared, who already had an education and a safety net, has had a tough time—I mean, in the end, you suffer— in your situation, you know? Many people don't survive long
enough to reap the reward, and I think that's very clear calm, try to survive, always try to make plans, Plan Bs safety net, and from there try to climb the ladder, because otherwise I think it's
difficult. I don't know if you see it the same way. Yes, I see it exactly the same way. I mean, I think that the person who ends up being successful in trading isn't someone who's in a desperate situation in the sense of needing money immediately. It's not that I'm
someone who has a slightly more... not simpler context, but rather, as we've discussed, I have a safety net, people who a safety net, people who support me, I have a plan B, and as I said,
things aren't as fast as they seem. I mean, I never thought I'd get to this point. Maybe if I'd gone slower, my trajectory would be different, but oh well, I'm grateful
for where I am now. I don't know, as I said, if I'll end up with more or less by the end of the year. It doesn't matter to me, I don't care if it's this, double, or ten times, it's all the same to me, but I want people to understand that, like, someone with
my profile who earns money, they'll say, "Wow, he's earned $200,000 in his entire career or whatever," and look, one of those years was supposedly a stroke of luck, as some will say,
with the Plix trade. Well, I don't care , I mean, I want people to understand that sometimes successful traders, more than they think, have their problems, even if they do think, have their problems, even if they do n't talk about them like I am in this case,
and that the path is complicated, but I believe that if people put the pieces in the right order, I'm not saying they'll achieve it as quickly or at the level I could even achieve it more, but something can be
think it's necessary to send that message a little bit. 100% 100%. Jorge, uncle, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It has been a pleasure. This is since this is a bit of an introductory chat, so people can get to know you,
Twitter handle down here, anything you want so people can follow you. Uh, if you want in the future, uh, we can make some technical video of something you want great. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, seriously.
thank you from the bottom of my heart, seriously. We're in touch.
