threads. So, let's delve into the situation because there were some debates about the points that were made. And again, before we get started, please don't send hate to any parties involved. And also, slight fun fact, you want to
warped tour and wore a crocheted sweater and forgot to put sunscreen on my arms. this post is made on threads by user seafoam toast and they write, "I'm reposting this to hopefully reach further. This artist has been scamming
her customers by using AI art. None of these drawings are consistent despite within the same year. And when I say fake WM or fake watermark, I guess, it something she didn't make. On top of that, she sends her little goons to
harass me and another artist when I didn't even comment on any of her posts. The other artist commented once on one post of hers and now she's crying victim and has deleted her posts. Though, her collaborated mentions are still posted.
Do not harass the customers and steer clear from her and her alts friends. and accuse you of things that they do not know the context of. So, let's take a look at some of the art pieces because this did spark some conversations. This
is the first art piece in question and it was commissioned by another person on anybody, right? But, the people who commission artists again, I don't think they should be like criticized for unknowingly commissioning an AI artist,
right? You're, of course, in my opinion, I'm going to look at you funny if you and you commission them anyways. But, at the end of the day, it's your money and you can spend it how you want to as much as I wouldn't spend dollars on such a
commission artists, it's because they want to hire a real human artist to make artwork for them because they themselves are not artists. And so, as a result, they didn't know that it's AI generated. So, people, in my opinion, shouldn't be
about. So, yeah, just wanted to add that little bit there. But, this is a, you know, illustration of a red-headed woman. She looks kind of like a bit viewer. She's wearing this blue floor-length gown that's kind of giving
like Victorian S like giving Bridgerton. So, on the arm is a watermark and the because this is allegedly an AI-generated image. In this floor-length gown, there is one side that has like a
ruffly fold like of an extra layer of the skirt that goes all the way to the ground. And there's an arrow pointing to it and the other text reads, "Where is there should be another one on the other side. Now, again for clothing design and
whatever you want. Some people would choose to make a dress look asymmetrical. For a dress of possibly like this era, I feel like I haven't seen very much asymmetry in terms of like the dress cuts for clothing of this
choice, right? Then another thing it flags is layers where highlighting the bottom of the dress. And then we have a close-up of this image where you can see there's other possible oddities going on in this illustration. She's wearing two
earrings that look similar at a first glance, but if you look closer, they're not exactly the same earring. They're a little bit off. This one has like a featured really in the second piece. I mean, it's kind of there, but it's a
maybe similar, maybe different. There's like crumbs in the hair. getting a little funky. There's like what looks like, I don't know, like goldfish cracker crumbs, like white powder puffs in the curls of the hair
and that to me reads a bit odd and a bit suspicious. Not to mention, there are little like strands coming out of the hair. You know, artistic choice. This is something I drew on stream like many, many moons ago, a little doodle
but some people, you know, like will add little strands coming out of the hair volume and texture. One thing you'll see that's a bit odd with the strands that you see out of this character's hair and let me again add that this character has
The anatomy is very spot-on for this piece. The oddity is that the strands of the hair. They're done with like a pen with no pen pressure, so everything very crunchy. There's one crunchy strand
You see here, there's like more crunchy strands coming out of the hair. There's like strands that are sticking to each other, so this is like a garbled mess. And then this makes like a ooh face mouth. Typically, when people do these
with a pen pressure, so you can kind of like flick it out to make the hair look really wispy, very thin. Again, everybody can draw the way that they want to, but it is a bit odd to see it in a piece like this specifically,
rendering, and it doesn't have a style that would make that make sense. Because style. And we can see up here by the bangs, we have little strands coming out again, which is something that is more indicative of AI drawings, where hair
connect back in the same spot. And one thing that OP didn't mention, but that I find very odd, is the fingers. The fingers are kind of like intertwined in little bit of a nervous stance, that she's maybe a little bit uncomfortable,
happening. But the way the fingers are positioned is really odd. Because we which is like fine, you know, that's art style on its own. But then the fingers have a we have like a finger coming out here, you know? Because we have extra
here, you know? Because we have extra fingers, like here, here. Where is this Because like that's none of these fingers, because we can see that these pinky? But this would be like a horrifically long pinky if that were the
quite sure what this is supposed to be. The other thumb is very long. Like given would probably go all the way out to here, which would make this thumb a lot And again, you know, hands are notoriously hard to draw, so oh oh. One
other thing I forgot to mention is this finger. We have fingers sticking out holding it. So that would imply that this finger is this long in order to make that a reality. And again, hands are notoriously really difficult to
draw. So, I don't want to fully dog on somebody's anatomy per se because anatomy mistakes can't be truly human error. But, the reason it's odd to me in this piece specifically is because this piece is exhibiting good anatomy with
everything except for the hands. Like the head position, the head angles, the collarbones drawn well. You can't see like the lower body cuz it's in this flowy dress. But, the anatomy looks good. And then the hands is doing what
to me is an AI error of hands, which is arbitrarily making certain fingers really long compared to other fingers and not just, you know, the average artist who doesn't draw hands very often who is trying and it looks like a human
anatomy mistake hand. This is looking like an AI anatomy mistake hands. So, next up we have this piece. And this one is really egregious. It is of Rapunzel from Tangled. And I think it was a fan art piece that was done. But, Rapunzel's
holding some cake, okay? And she's got her long blonde hair with two braids running down the sides with little flowers in it. And OP writes light light light light pointing to the side of the hair being lit a glow with this like
orange backlights. And it says, "Where is the light source?" The commentary sparked a bit of I would say maybe a because a lot of people are saying like, "Hey, I get where you're coming from and
these like AI looking elements. But, that, you know, light source is hard to don't know where the light source is coming from, etc." Yes, inconsistent or odd light sources can be one thing that can be indicative of AI because like
when AI generates imagery, it light the image up from like a bajillion different the context of what's happening. As in, they'll be lit from this way and this well. It just puts like a bajillion different highlights on, okay? I don't
think OP means it in this way and obviously, don't do this. But, if different light sources on their images. Please don't just go and be like, "This different light sources." Come on, like that's absurd. Don't go pointing fingers
a bunch of light sources, or maybe some artists are like, "Yeah, I really like the way a rim light highlight looks on my character, even though the main light the way it looks, so I'm going to draw it in like that, right?" The reason why
it's just one thing to note in context with everything else we're going to talk about with this person's artwork because of course, all of these things that are being mentioned on its own is not enough to conclude whether gen AI was used or
not. So, if you just see somebody with a little bit of wonky hands, don't just be notoriously hard to draw, come on. Having backlighting with no other lighting, that on its own isn't enough. It's everything in context, right? And I
obvious because what in the world is happening with her face? This is egregious. She's got cracks running down the side of her face for no apparent reason. And somehow conveniently, one strand of hair leads into all of these
cracks across her face. Then next up, we have this mystery unicorn thing on her shoulder, which like maybe there was a lore reason as to why this is there, but unicorn? Because we only have the upper body. A bit confused about that. But
another one is the flowers in the hair because the flowers in the hair are a know? It's just a circle in the middle, and then we've got like four, you know, like that, something like that. This flower is missing a petal. This one has
a bunch of petals merging into each other. I don't This one is not a flower, This one has a weird line coming out of it. This one has two petals that are merging together. And this one is a blob. Like these are the true
indications of like, "Okay, this looks AI-generated." Because you really again draw this?" Right? And you know, like would a human add extra backlighting? up fingers? Yeah, they would. Would a human draw a flower leaf with merging
Uh, really don't think so. And then again, we have more of the [ __ ] up fingers because we have a really really really flat middle finger over here that lays like smushed under the cake. This bee looks like it has three wings, but
again, we have like an oddity with the ties in the front. The laces of the the top, and then there are the bows that hangs down, but for some reason the bows are hanging behind the laces, and there's like a split in the middle that
doesn't line up right. That's also looking very odd. If the crack on Rapunzel's face was not selling it for you enough. Then next up, we have this character with like brown tousled hair with bangs, and she's wearing a black
dress with like a ruffle detail that also looks like piano keys. And she's with little cats on it. This already has a bunch of oddities. It says crooked could be possible. As somebody who is double jointed, my elbows actually do
not trying to do a bean soup theory thing. Not many people's elbows look like this with their arms out like that. Mine do, but you know, that is one minor often see people draw like double jointed characters because it can look a
little funny when you're drawing it. One thing that I think is a bit odd is that these are piano keys on the skirt, but they're not correct. Piano keys alternate three and two for the black keys. These are 3 3 2 3 2 3 3 3. Huh?
reference photo for how piano keys look like, but that's incorrect. And then yes, we have a bow and a quiver of arrows at a weird angle, not to mention astronomically small relative to her. Bows and quiver of arrows are big. They
are quite big. I used to shoot archery. My bow was almost my height. Actually, I though. It wouldn't be this tiny unless it's like a kid's bow, perhaps. But even regular length because even if it's a
kid's height bow, when you draw it back all the way, the arrow needs to go all Otherwise, it falls off the bow, and then something bad happens. Actually knew somebody when I shot archery that did that. Actually horrific time. But,
the other issue is the shoes. There is These are Mary Jane shoes with one strap these types of shoes work, the buckles are going to be on the outside of the shoe. So, she's wearing two left shoes, basically. Not to mention, again, we
have some sort of webbing going on in between her legs that are connected. So, argument, you know, could it be human error, right? Maybe they never looked up drew two left shoes. Possibly. Maybe they never looked up a reference image
thought a piano would look like and didn't alternate the black keys. That's also fair. Possibly they never shot a bow in their life {slash} used some logic to realize that this is going to be too small. But, the big one that's
odd is like the merging legs. You know, I can maybe understand if you like so there's a little bit of bleed in between here, but the line art also connects, too. That's where it gets odd. It wasn't just like somebody colored
understandable and it happens all the time. And then now we have the line art, which is interesting, because the line art looks not finished, as in the other face is also wrong. I mean, again, it's not like you're not allowed to change
shoes and maybe later decide you want a different cat face. But then the line art is unfinished, because here the bow, there's like a missing curvature of the line art for such professional shading and coloring. Don't commission if you're
occurring imperfections despite being proof checked is onto the client." So, points to make about the line art as well, cuz they were like, "Oh, well, my looks a little bit crooked." So, you know, da da da da da. I think one thing
to note is that I think this line art looks fine to me, personally, in terms Like they use like one pen weight throughout the piece, which you will there are other artists who just like working with one pen weight. So, that on
its own is not an issue. But, if this is a commission, right, this doesn't there's a lot of details that are missing. The face isn't drawn in at all. given to a client to be like, "Hey, like here's what it's going to look like for
the commission." We don't have a lot of the elements. Mainly, the face isn't isn't drawn in, part of the bow is missing. So, this wouldn't be a complete line art to send to a client. But, also like from what it looks like, this piece
isn't fully done with line art. As in, the hair doesn't have line art for the the hair. It could be one where they did the line art and then later erased it, you know? That could be possible. And then, OP was adding that the line art in
Again, people in the comments had whatever, so that's why my line art looks different." And that is possible as well. So, again, this on its own is not like the damning evidence of this
being AI-generated or, you know, assisted in any way. But, this is something that will happen with people who generate images with AI. You get the like, "Oh, well, crap. I need to go fake some process so that people can believe
AI and it's like, "Yeah, give me line art for this, lols." And then, AI will going to be one-to-one. It's not going to be the same. Because like, in the final result, because this piece does have some line art, right? For the legs
and for the dress and whatever. If you export the line art layer on its own, it will match up to the final product because this final product has line art where your sketch doesn't line up because you draw over the sketch and
That's fine. Your sketch isn't going to be one-to-one or anything. Again, if you export the final line art from this piece, it will match one-to-one. But, OP meant with this being like, "No matter what I do, it won't line up. Must
said, were like, "Oh, well, my line art doesn't always match up, blah blah like what I'm saying, right? Cuz if you exported that final line art, it wouldn't be so off like this. Another person replied in the comments writing,
"Got spammed by the children of the corn because they support an AI scammer. by engagement. And this is the artist page, especially the ones that we pointed out were suspicious. And then
there's like a lot of people all of a sudden spam commenting, which seems to be alluding to the alleged fake bot accounts that maybe the artist has. Like this is just so weird. If these are truly their bot accounts, like truly you
absolute buffoonery is happening over here? And at the end of the day, there's definitely a lot of discourse that's happening online about like people who are trying to pass AI works off as their own, off as legitimate, and that how it
possibly could be harming real artists in the process. And the thing that I like there always are going to be people who don't use common sense. But please, common sense is hard to find, but let's try to use it, okay? Again, if an artist
does one or two of these things, that does not mean they generated the image randomly accusing people of things they didn't do. It's only when with extreme sufficient evidence of a ton of
pointers, especially the key telltale signs that things are wrong. You know, one of them being they're posting fully rendered images three times a day with a Patreon, and they have no past history of doing artwork prior to 2025. So it's
not like they're posting a backlog. How are they making all this artwork so rapidly fast with no prior history every single day? And again, there are some artists that work really fast, but that alongside the fact that you know, they
all sudden out of nowhere have this Patreon where they have another three fully rendered NSFW artworks every single day for a total of six pieces a day, plus artworks with really AI looking tells. Again, not just one or
two funny lightings, but like, you know, Rapunzel's got a cracked face, hair is melting into the bodice of the dress, the laces are tangled, and we have a flattened smooshed finger, alongside flowers that are melting into their own
petals. All of that looking at it, it's like, okay, this something looks funny, little odd here. But just because an artist has one or two things, don't go that. Let's use some common sense, okay?
that was like, somebody was really trying to pass off some real obvious things as human-made when, in my opinion, it has at least some AI love to hear your thoughts in the comment section below. And again, please
