[00:13] Because think about who's trying to scare you. The company's building this technology. Because why would a company tell you that its product might end the world? Well, it's because fear means power, and power means value, and value means a really good day when that company goes public.
[00:26] This is not really about whether AI is dangerous. It's about who gets to control it. And there's two groups fighting over this right now, the capital and the state, which are the money people and the government people. This whole story about AI might actually be manufactured.
[00:41] It's all fake. So maybe this story is actually paid for to scare people on purpose. But the state says, we need to regulate this because if we don't, it could destroy humanity. On the surface, the state gets to virtue signal
[00:53] and pretend like it really cares about our safety. But what it really cares about is control. usually temporary, but the control they get is forever.
