# How Expensive is the Fastest PC of 2026?

> Source: [How Expensive is the Fastest PC of 2026?](https://youtube.com/watch?v=Fx0x3oI_ngo)

## Summary

The video presents a guide to building the fastest PC currently possible, focusing on key component choices. It highlights the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 CPU, optimized RAM, and a powerful GPU, emphasizing performance and compatibility.

### Key Points

- **CPU Selection** [00:00] — The Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 has 16 cores with AMD's 3D V-Cache, making it suitable for any task.
- **Motherboard Features** [00:16] — Motherboard priorities are PCI Express Gen 5 and high-speed connectivity, which don't directly speed up games.
- **RAM Optimization** [00:16] — The G.Skill RAM runs at 6,000 MT/s CL26, which syncs with the CPU's Infinity Fabric for better optimization.
- **Storage Choice** [00:33] — Storage uses a Gen 5 SanDisk drive with its own DRAM cache.
- **Case and Cooling** [00:33] — The Fractal Meshify 3 XL case supports GPUs up to half a meter long and water cooling, including a 420mm Noctua radiator.
- **Power Supply and GPU** [00:50] — A 1600W Seasonic power supply is chosen to support the MSI Lightning RTX 5090, which needs a 1000W power budget.

### Conclusion

The video provides a concise, component-by-component guide to building a top-tier PC, emphasizing optimization and compatibility over raw specs.

## Transcript

Fastest PC you can build right now starts with the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2. All 16 of its cores have AMD's legendary 3DV cache, so it's well-equipped for really anything. For our motherboard, the main things we were looking for are PCI Express Gen 5 and high-speed connectivity.
Other than that, it doesn't make our games faster. But the same cannot be said for our RAM. This is a 6,000 megatransfers per second CL26 kit from G.Skill. Does it run at the highest megatransfers per second? No. But what it does do is sync with the infinity fabric of our CPU, making it really well optimized.
For storage, we chose a Gen 5 drive from SanDisk that has its own DRAM cache. And for our case, we've gone with the Fractal Meshify 3 XL. This monster can hold GPUs that are up to half a meter long. It can also hold plenty of water cooling, including this sick 420 millimeter radiator unit from none other than Noctua.
Finally, we've chosen a 1600 watt power supply from Seasonic because finally, finally for our GPU, we've got the MSI Lightning RTX 5090, which needs a thousand watt power budget.
Everything is absolutely maxed. Look at that lighting.
