# 99% Follow Goals, Only 1% Do This

> Source: [99% Follow Goals, Only 1% Do This](https://youtube.com/watch?v=yvDhEuFslRY)

## Summary

This video explains why most people fail to achieve their goals and introduces a system-based approach to success. It argues that goals fail due to poor design, not lack of effort, and outlines a three-step method involving identity shift, converting wishes into structure, and building a system on four pillars: trigger engineering, action minimization, instant reward loops, and failure-proof safety nets.

### Key Points

- **The Iron Man analogy** [00:02] — Tony Stark didn't escape the cave by himself but by building a suit (a system) that helped him overcome obstacles. This illustrates the concept of using systems to achieve goals.
- **Systems behind great achievements** [01:16] — The Wright Brothers created a system to fly, Mark Zuckerberg built an algorithm to connect people, and schools and transport systems were built to fulfill human needs. Systems are the common thread in humanity's progress.
- **Krishna's advice to Arjuna** [03:02] — In the Mahabharata, Krishna didn't tell Arjuna what to do but gave him knowledge (Sukhakhe Samay Kritva Labha Labh Jayaj) so Arjuna could fight without fear. This is an early example of empowering through systems.
- **New Year's resolution study** [04:03] — A study by Carlberg with 166 participants showed that 77% gave up on resolutions within the first few weeks, 55% of the rest after a month, and only 19% maintained them long-term. This highlights the failure of goal-setting without systems.
- **Goals don't fail, design does** [05:28] — The speaker asserts that goals like going to the gym or learning a skill don't fail; the efforts required to achieve them fail due to lack of proper design.
- **Two brain errors: Hype Drop** [06:12] — The first brain error is 'Hype Drop' - dopamine levels decrease when repeating the same action, leading to loss of interest. This is why we stop playing old games or listening to old songs.
- **Two brain errors: Sonic Happiness** [08:25] — The second error is 'Sonic Happiness' - the brain prefers quick, temporary happiness over delayed, long-term happiness. This is why we choose pizza over gym results and reels over business building.
- **The need for systems** [10:05] — Given these brain errors, systems are needed to force you to work towards goals despite distractions. The Life of Pi analogy: without a paddle (system), you can't move forward even with a map (goal).
- **System defined** [11:31] — A system is not a strict routine but subconscious imprints - tasks handled automatically by the subconscious, like brushing teeth or tying shoelaces. Systems wire the brain, not just structure.
- **Three steps to create a system** [13:42] — The video outlines three steps: 1) Identity Shift, 2) Convert wishes into structure, 3) Build a system on four pillars. These will be explained in detail.
- **Step 1: Identity Shift** [16:20] — J.K. Rowling wrote every day despite rejections because her identity was 'I am a writer.' James Clear's quote: 'Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.' Shift identity from past to future.
- **Step 2: Convert wishes into structure** [18:53] — Instead of vague wishes like 'I want to be fit,' create a structure with target, outcome, deadline, and actions. Example: Virat Kohli's fitness goal with specific metrics and actions.
- **Step 3: Four pillars of a system** [22:26] — The four pillars are: 1) Trigger Engineering, 2) Action Minimization, 3) Instant Reward Loop, and 4) Failure-Proof Safety Net. Each is explained with examples.
- **Pillar 1: Trigger Engineering** [23:07] — A study on 248 people showed that those who decided when and where to exercise had 91% consistency vs 38% for those who just decided to exercise. Triggers are automatic signals like 'When I finish brushing, I will do 10 push-ups.'
- **Pillar 2: Action Minimization** [25:54] — Make actions so small they are easy to do, like reading one page or doing five push-ups. This reduces activation energy and helps build momentum.
- **Pillar 3: Instant Reward Loop** [28:15] — Connect long-term goals to short-term rewards. Jerry Seinfeld's 'don't break the chain' method uses a calendar to mark daily actions, providing a dopamine hit and reinforcing the habit.
- **Pillar 4: Failure-Proof Safety Net** [30:18] — Plan for failures: what to do if you miss a day, if a plan fails, etc. Have backup plans to stay consistent. Example: The speaker's goal to add 1 million Instagram followers included backup plans for when reels didn't go viral.
- **Conclusion: Choose systems over goals** [31:43] — Achieve goals not by willpower but by systems. Like Tony Stark, we can create systems to overcome obstacles. The choice is yours: run after goals or create a system that takes you there.

### Conclusion

The video emphasizes that goals alone are insufficient; systems are the key to consistent progress. By shifting your identity, structuring your wishes, and building a system on four pillars, you can achieve any goal automatically.

In 2008, Anthony [Music], a billionaire industrialist and one of the world's top weapons manufacturers,
But unfortunately, when he is returning from there after finishing his work, returning from there after finishing his work, a terrorist attacks him.
He does not die in that attack but gets badly injured. Now after several hours, when he opens his eyes, he is at the same terrorist's base. Where that terrorist group asks him to prepare a weapon for them.
Now you must be feeling that you have heard this entire story somewhere. 208's Iron Man.
and after getting trapped in that cave, his only goal is to get out of there somehow, but Tony does not get out of there on his own but makes a suit for himself which helps him overcome all the obstacles and problems there and takes him out. The
overcome all the obstacles and problems there and takes him out. The concept of humans that every big person in the world [music] uses to achieve their goals. An unnoticed concept that the Wright
Brothers [music] used. His goal was to fly in the air, so he did not fly himself but instead he created a system that could make him fly in the air. After creating Facebook, Mark wanted to provide content to people that would connect them more.
So they created an algorithm that automatically shows you content of your interest [music] without any manual control. People wanted world knowledge, so we built schools. If you wanted to travel fast, then the entire transport system. If you wanted to
eat good food, go to restaurants. From thousands of years ago to today's modern [music] era. One thing is always common in them and that is the making of systems.
reason for humanity's growth over the centuries. But we do not use them in our personal life. Like someone's goal is to crack the interview and get a job. [Music] But we don't know how to create a system that automatically does it for you.
Our goal is to always be happy with our partner [music]. But there is never anything that can
make a promise to be happy that I want to be happy. But we don't have something like that [music] which keeps giving us happiness even during downfall. The
In the Dwapar Yuga Mahabharata, even Shri Krishna did not tell Arjun what to do. He gave that knowledge through his words Sukhakhe Samay Kritva Labha Labh Jayaj after this Arjuna continued fighting the war on his own without any fear and in this video
in the next few minutes you are going to get the way through which you can create a system for your goals which will automatically take you to your goals. I will not talk about any one system. I will talk about the fundamentals so that
every viewer watching this video will be able to build a system for his life, his career, his relationships, his happiness, any of his desired goals and will be able to achieve them. And in this video I am going to tell you about one such thing with which you
which you can change your entire coming year in one day. Carlberg conducted a large-scale experiment. He arranged for 166 participants.
Those people who made New Year resolutions. Now the team of researchers started tracking all those people. The goal of the study was simply to check how many people can continue their goals and resolutions for how long. When
they finally released the results, it was revealed that about 77% of all people gave up on their resolutions within the first few weeks. Now 55% of those who remained
gave up after the first month. And ultimately, only 19% of those who remained were found to be only 19% of those who remained were found to be
with all of us. When did this year pass? This regret that comes in December, along with that regret we make many goals in the beginning of January that now I will go to the gym every day. I will not eat junk food anymore. Now I will eat healthy. Or from now on I will
work on my business plan daily. I will work dedicatedly for my passion or my exams. Full of regrets and we got very excited because it was last year's regret. Does anyone think that from today all addictions will stop and a completely disciplined
life will begin, but what happens in reality? You will know the answer to this in your own mind and past. But if I tell you that till date, whenever you thought of doing something on your own, whenever you thought of doing something on your own, made some goals and could not do it, then
your goal did not fail. Your goal [MUSIC] design has failed. In simple words, our goals do not fail. We fail in whatever work needs to be done regarding them. Your goals of going to the gym, getting a toned body or six pack abs, weight loss,
all these will still be there. The dream of achieving something , learning a skill with a specific amount of bank balance, making someone your own, all these goals will still be there. But the efforts required for all this could not be made. Now here you might already have reasons for this in your mind. There is
lack of discipline, procrastination, laziness, lack of interest, no time. But these are just habits. The real Reese is here. Two
major brain errors that cause your goals to fall apart. The first is Hype Drop. Remember those childhood games like Mario, Contra, GTA or IGI? How much fun they used to have playing at one time. But have you ever thought
why we don't play it even today when there is no one to stop us? Or if you have ever liked a song very much before today. You used to listen to it every day while working every morning and evening. But it has been a long time since I heard it today. In the first situation, your goal was fun. Today you don't do the things you used to do back then to get that fun.
And in the second situation, the goal was relaxation. [Music] Which you still look for, but in something else, like scrolling or another song, that's how our brain works. Whenever we like something, our
brain releases a certain amount of dopamine. feels rewarded by doing that work and we keep repeating it [music]. But the problem is that after some time, by doing the same work at the same level, our
dopamine level starts going down. Meaning, the peace and enjoyment that we were getting, now the hype of it starts dropping [music]. And the brain needs a little more And the brain needs a little more effort. Meaning, where one used to smoke one cigarette,
now one starts smoking two. I used to talk to someone once a day, now I have to talk to them the whole day. Or it was just that earlier we used to enjoy small games and now we have to play expensive games. But surprisingly, what you do in these things is that you go and take and take. The
same thing becomes difficult in Coles' case. There, this dopamine loophole occurs. For example, after working out for a few days, when we stop feeling like going to the gym, instead of increasing our workout level, we give it up. In
fact, according to a survey, gym subscriptions increase by about 12 1/2% every year in January. But within just 5 months, 80% of people stop coming to the gym. Now, you will have a
very natural question here that playing games, smoking cigarettes or eating all these things seem easy and we do increase them but [music] increasing weight in the gym, increasing reading or increasing discipline in any work seems difficult. And this is where the
second region of failure comes in, sonic [music] happiness. Of course, going to the gym builds the body. You get dopamine and happiness but not immediately. Not as quickly as you but not immediately. Not as quickly as you
diet and drinking sufficient water daily can make your skin glow. But not as quickly as a cosmetic product. Our brain always chooses quick but temporary happiness as compared to late but long lasting happiness. [MUSIC]
problem is that we are making this pattern of our brain stronger and stronger. We are getting used to this and quick happiness. For example, online delivery orders. Do you remember the last time you went to the market yourself and bought things?
Remember reel scrolling? When was the last time you stood idle in a public place? Or last time you had trouble with an auto or rickshaw, you got into trouble because now Ola Uber booking is done online. I understand that these things
save our time for our own good. There is comfort. It is necessary. But all these have a direct impact on your patience level. According to a survey, 70% of people start feeling negative when they have to wait. I feel annoyed, I feel frustrated. I get
angry. In fact, one study specifically stated that people get study specifically stated that people get Standing at a traffic signal for more than 25 seconds makes one angry. So imagine
that in today's time, when someone might face one or two failures while pursuing his goals. one or two failures while pursuing his goals. need for systems is created. Designs that will force you to work towards your goals despite all these distractions.
Designs that will force you to work towards your goals despite all these distractions. ? Have you seen that movie Life of Pi? How that guy gets
stuck on a small boat with a Bengal tiger. Imagine something similar happening to you. But the situation may be a little different. There is nothing else on your boat, let alone a tiger. There is n't even a pedal.
n't even a pedal. Just a map so you know how I have to get to this destination. So no matter how hard you try without a paddle, will you be able to move forward? It is not possible. But think about it, you work very hard.
Somehow you move a little forward with just the help of your hands and suddenly you find the paddles. Now think how much effort you will save and your speed will literally double. But the stories don't end here. Later, after some time, you come to know that
your boat already has a motor fitted. It was just in the lower panel and you couldn't see it. Now think what your speed will be. And how fast you will move towards your [musical] destination. In this entire situation, that pedal, that motor, this is an example of the system. Meaning
those invisible engines in your life that keep pushing you towards coal. In a nutshell, [musical] destination and the system is the vehicle that takes you there. The first one gives you direction and the second one gives you
progress. But it should be clear to you that system does not mean any day-to-day rules written on paper or any strict routine. All this is what we have been taught since childhood. All this is what we have been taught since childhood. Son, hard work is the key
to success. Son, wake up in the morning and study, that is the best thing. If you study by writing, you will remember things quickly. slug it out. The suffering makes the meat taste better. These were all suggestions.
Not the system. Actually, system in life means subconscious imprints. Meaning those tasks which are not known to you but to your subconscious. Systems in a line is
not about building a structure but about wiring the brain. Like breathing, heartbeat, digestion, blinking of eyes and many such body functions which happen automatically. This is the task that is assigned to our subconscious from birth.
And apart from these tasks, you yourself have assigned thousands of tasks to it. Like brushing your teeth in the morning, eating with your eyes closed , [MUSIC] not breathing while drinking water , always setting your hair the same way,
tying your shoe laces without looking. Talking and thinking about something while driving. These are all living examples of the systems you have created that are assigned to the subconscious [music]. Meaning the system is nothing else. This is a kind of practice which
you handle subconsciously, not consciously, to hit one of your targets [music]. Like the target is to remove bad breath and clean it. So we created a brushing system. The target was to reduce time, so we learned riding and
driving. For a few days you did that subconsciously and gradually it converted into a system. And now without doing anything, your body and brain move with it [music]. Now you just have to do the same thing
prepared a system for your goals, then neither your motivation will drop nor your discipline will break. Because your system will be functioning subconsciously in the back end. Meaning now the question is not how to achieve the goal. The question is,
what system should we design behind the goal [music] that will allow us to grow consistently even in times of failure. Now we will learn how you can create a powerful system for yourself in three steps. Before I go any further, I'd like to take a minute
and tell you about something that can change your entire next year and your entire life in one day [music]. We know everything. We know what to do and how to do it. Still, overthinking, procrastination,
self-doubt, low confidence, all these things come and time keeps slipping away. The reason is very simple. The conscious mind wants something, but the subconscious mind is running some other program. And when this alignment is not right, struggle ensues. And to
solve this very thing, I have brought for you Mind Mastery Workshop. A full day of live sessions [music] that I've used to change the lives of millions of people for the last 15 years. Top companies of India call me for this session. Why? Because
this system works. In this workshop, you will go through three stages in one day. First stage identity shift. You will understand how your personality is formed. What are the hidden beliefs that are holding you back? What is
blocking it? We will do some life changing exercises in that session which will help you in establishing a stronger and confident version of yourself. Second Clarity Break Through. You will be able to clear your confusions. You will understand exactly
what you want? Why do you need it and what are the clear steps to take it to the next level [in music] ? And thirdly, rewiring of the mind. We will scientifically fix overthinking and procrastination.
Through neuroscience, through brain rewiring, you will be able to harness the power of your subconscious mind to harness the power of your subconscious mind to transformation system. Where you will create a permanent shift within yourself using real exercises, rules and [musical] processes.
exercises, rules and [musical] processes. a huge difference in your clarity, energy and mindset. And if after attending the workshop you feel that Himesh did not deliver what he said, you can take your money
back. So if you seriously want to change your life then give me one day of yours. Change your entire coming year in that one day. I am conducting this workshop on 11th Jan. Seats are limited. If you are interested in joining that workshop,
are limited. If you are interested in joining that workshop, most important part of this video is how to create a system that will help you achieve all your goals. The first step is The Identity Shift. Let's start with a small needle. A
boy with a lightning symbol on his forehead. I have a magic band in my hand and a friend on my 11th birthday. And the power to change the world in one stroke. [MUSIC] Did you guess? Yes, I am talking about Harry Potter. But imagine if I said that the
story I'm about to tell you now is n't about Harry, but about Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling [music]. A single mother jobless and tired of publishers' no [music]. Still, he did one thing consistently and that was writing. Despite so many rejections,
she wrote every day. Sometimes I wrote a little, but I wrote every day. Whether the world says yes or no to publishing his book. His system was simple, right no matter what. And that system
made him one of the most successful authors [of music] in the world. Because JK Rowling was writer. I have to write. James Clear has a very powerful line in Atomic Habits. Every action you [music] take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become. Just
like we cast our vote when elections come. Every action you take votes on which person you're going to be [musically]. In fact, in this book he gave a very small but very powerful example [music]. Two people are quitting smoking.
Both are offered cigarettes. The first one says no thank you I am trying to quit. And the other one says no thank you I am not a smoker. Now if you look carefully, both of them have refused to smoke cigarettes but the difference is visible in the identity shift.
Meaning that the first guy is still connected to his past. Whereas the other one is aligned with his future. If you look at real life examples, you will find this same formula in every accomplished person. Like Sachin Tendulkar, since childhood he had created his own
system that he has to practice daily , focus and learn. People told him to concentrate on his studies. But he listened to the voice of his identity. I am a cricketer. And that system became his career and his legacy. Meaning that first of all
you have to shift your identity. If you keep your identity tied to the past , if you keep living in the past, you will not be able to reach your future identity. For example, I am a disciplined person, I am a creator, I am a learner. I do
n't want to be fit. I am consistent in my workouts. So first of all we designed our identity, shifted our identity. Now comes the second step, convert your wishes into structure. Well, do you remember those school days when there were only two-three
days left for the exam and then suddenly the light would turn on in our mind that friend, the entire syllabus is still left and we have to revise it. That day we would sit together and make a complete routine. 8:00 AM to 10 In fact, you might remember that we used to write breaks also. I have to take a break at this time.
So many chapters have to be written. So many topics have to be covered. He would put it on the wall. Because somewhere even at that time we knew that without creating a system we would not pass the exams [in music]. And in fact, that was our first system
blueprint. Even without any motivation, we would get up, write, study, fail , recover and try our best to complete our work. Why? Because we had clarity on what to do , when to do it and how to do it. The
same logic applies in the exams of life also. The only difference is that here the syllabus is a little bigger and the distractions are even bigger, a thousand times bigger. Everyone has goals, big or small, but very few people have the system to unlock them,
which we are learning. When I talk about goals in my workshops, the first thing I say is write about your goals and in the beginning most people write wishes and not systems. Someone writes I want to be fit.
says I want to start my own YouTube channel. But these are not just emotion driven wishes. They do not have any execution map. And without a map, any
map. And without a map, any journey remains incomplete. You must have a clear direction. You should convert your wish into a structure. This is important. Understand this well, if we talk about Virat Kohli, if Virat
Kohli says I want to be fit, then many people say that he too would have kept saying this. But when a system is created, a target is created. My target is to achieve elite athlete level fitness. I should have an outcome. Body fat below 8%, stamina for 90 minute
matches. What is the deadline? I have to achieve this by the 2016 World Cup. What will be my actions for that? My daily diet plan will be with nutritionist. There will be gym sessions. Strength in the morning, cardio in the evening, sleep tracking for 8 hours. You have to get
your body composition tested monthly. These will be my actions. Now Virat will be a great example which normally happens to people that I want to switch to data science. Someone has a career related goal. This wish is that I don't want to switch to data science.
What will be its structure? My target is I want a data scientist role. In a product company. The outcome should be a job offer with a package of ₹1 lakh per annum. What is the deadline? I have to achieve this in the next 12 months.
months I have to take online courses. Python, SQL, whatever you need to do. After that, make three portfolio projects. What do I have to do from the seventh to the ninth month? Eighth Ninth That should also be defined. I have to apply for weekly pay on five applications
and prepare for interviews. Weekly I have to share a post on Lindin. Monthly I have to do mock interviews. This is structure instead of wish. So whether it is starting your own cracking UPSC exam or medical exam, improving relationships or
medical exam, improving relationships or learning a musical instrument like guitar [music]. You need structure, not wishes. There is feeling in wish, there is system in structure. So the first step, Identity Shift, told you who to become. And this
step told you what to do to become that person [musically]. And now the most important third step is how to create a system. Four Pillars What are the four pillars that make up your strong system? Now the question is how to create these systems?
Even Tony Stark didn't build the suit in a day. He first made small parts. Power source, flight mechanism, weapons, defense and when all these mechanism, weapons, defense and when all these parts started working together, the Iron
Man suit was created. Similarly, the systems of your life will also stand on four major [musical] pillars. And if you design these four pillars correctly, then any goal, be it fitness, career, relationship, anything, will automatically start getting achieved.
So let's see what are these four pillars of an unbreakable system? So the first pillars of an unbreakable system? So the first pillar is trigger engineering. I am talking about the signal you have to give to your brain. In 2001,
British researchers conducted a study on 248 people. Told group A to do exercise. Group B was told to decide exactly when and where they would exercise. Do you know what the result
was? Group B had 91% consistency and Group A only 38%. What was the difference [music]? The difference was in the trigger. What are triggers? Triggers are automatic signals that tell your brain. Now is the time to take action.
Imagine, when the phone vibrates, you automatically start checking it. When the alarm sounds, the hand automatically rises to press snooze. When the smell of cooking comes, hunger automatically arises. These are all triggers. And
by designing them consciously, you can use them for your goals. How do you design triggers? The formula is very clear. When the trigger happens, I will do this action.
When this triggers, I will perform this action. This formula has to be filled and understood. So let's take the example of the most common goals and resolutions. Fitness. I will workout every day. This is not correct. When I finish brushing my teeth in the morning, I will do 10 push-ups.
You created a trigger after brush and created an action 10 You can do this as per your convenience. For example, for career I will work on my business or my passion. I will work on my skills. I don't want to do business in the future.
No. Every day during my lunch break, after finishing lunch, I will spend 15 minutes thinking about my future projects. Relationships are goals. I will not keep my partner happy. No. Trigger and action. When I leave the office, I'll
call or text as soon as I get in the car. These triggers can be time based. 7:00 is time is 9:00 am. These can be action based. Which brother calls habit taking.
5 minutes meditation after brushing in the morning. Tomorrow's action plan, tomorrow's to-do list before closing the laptop. These triggers can also be location based. As soon as I reach the office, I will first fill my entire bottle and keep it aside. Or I'll journal as soon as I get into bed at night.
So, these triggers can be of time, action what I talked about in between, taking habits [music] is the strongest trigger. Combine something you're already doing with [music].
For example, brushing is already automatic. Have to do it. It is in subconscious imprints. Then add the workout. Coming from office is already fixed. As soon as you come back from office, take time for skill building. Coming to bed is fixed. As soon as I get into bed, I have to journal
, do visualization, read a book , work on a course. This habit building does not require willpower. Your brain automatically knows that now you have to do this, now you have to do this and this gets added to your existing prints.
Pillar Two Action Minimization. Then it is so small, so small that I don't feel like it. Hey, what do you want to say? Now this is the mistake that people make most in goal setting, most in New Year resolutions, that they keep the action too big.
Imagine someone decides that from today onwards I will workout for an hour every day. Earlier, I did you did it with enthusiasm on the first day, not get time or you were so tired that you did not feel like doing it. That level of kick did not come and the
system broke down. So the action shouldn't be so big that it's easy to skip. This means that you should minimize the action so much that it becomes easier to do it. He found it difficult not to do it. Let us understand with an example. This is a lot. For example, you thought that
This year I have to read two or three books every month. I have to read 30-40 books in a year. And you took action thinking that I will read for one hour every day. No first minimized action. Minimized action. I have to read one page. I have to read one page.
Minimum. I want fitness. No gym for an hour, just wear gym wear and do five push make a complete business plan. No, you just have to sit for 10 minutes on idea research. Have to start with that. Now you might be wondering how will growth happen from such a small section?
No. You will sit down to read a page. Naturally you will read 510 pages. You will wear gym clothes. I wo n't stop at five push-ups. You can workout for 10-15 minutes. Because starting is the hardest part. Do n't continue. I am saying it again. Getting started is the
hardest part. Do n't continue. Once the action starts, the brain automatically starts continuing it. Which in psychology we call activation energy. Same thing happens on Netflix too. You sit down to watch an episode.
Activation energy lasts for three-four episodes. So you get momentum with minimum action. Then slowly you work on it. You keep increasing it gradually. And remember, if some day some reason arises and your motivation drops, then come back to minimum action so
that you can gain momentum quickly. I follow this thing myself. If I was very busy or very tight on a day, I would meditate for 5 minutes. I will meditate for two minutes. If someone is going through a medium day then I will meditate for 10 minutes. I will workout for 20 minutes.
And if it is a normal day, I do my 20 minutes of meditation and a proper 1 hour workout. So the point is that the system is very important. The system should not break. Even if the intensity decreases. And from this thing, from
this thought [music] your consistency is created and from consistency only mastery is created. Third Pillar Instant Reward Loop Give dopamine to the brain. Remember we talked about sonic
brain chooses quick temporary happiness [music]. Versus Delayed Long Term Happiness. Results are visible after 3 months in the gym. But eating pizza Dude, I love pizza. It takes years to build a business,
but scrolling through Reels provides instant entertainment. So what is the solution then ? Connect your long-term goals to artificial short-term rewards. Make the brain understand that look, you have just received the reward for what you did.
This is the dopamine hack. Immediately after completing any action, give a signal to the brain that it was successful. Famous comedian Jerry St.Vid says don't break the chain. What did he do? He took a calendar and every day when he did joke
writing, he marked that day with a red cross. After a few days, a peace was created. And now the goal was that the chain should not break. So every day he was writing a joke. Every day he was writing a joke and his [music] skills became more and more mastered. So you also have to
many ways. You can put a calendar on the wall. You can apply days for the entire month. Every day when you took action, even minimized action, you ticked that [music]. You can see that satisfaction ticking, that satisfaction is your
dopamine. Yes I have done this. The next day, Brain will want to kill that tick. When those ticking sounds start, peace is created. Otherwise you can keep a diary in which you can write just one line every day like today I did this. [Music] You know,
man, yes, I did, to give myself that feeling of achievement. You can create a celebration ritual celebrate it. Stand in front of the mirror and say yes smile at yourself. These celebrations, this happiness, this is
not madness. This is brain training. When you celebrate, dopamine is released in the brain. And dopamine says this action is one we have to repeat. This has to be done again and again. It looks good in this. Slowly slowly this action becomes automatic.
Because the brain knows that after this it will get a reward. And the fourth pillar is failure get a reward. And the fourth pillar is failure proof safety net. This is a very important pillar create a perfect system but if we fail, if we miss, what should we do at that time
? What is a backup plan? How to get back up [MUSIC]? How to deal with problems when they arise ? We do not prepare ourselves for those situations. Does not create a failure proof safety net. So whenever you design any system, think about what
problems may arise. What will I do when those problems arise? If I miss a day, what should I do the next day? [MUSIC] It's already ready. For example, I I will not go to the gate when I return. I will start with minimum action.
cover it during the weekend. Last year I made a goal to add 1 million people on Instagram. Now it had a complete system. In this we had a backup plan that what will we do on the day the reel does not go ?
What will be our backup plan if the editor has to take a long leave ? If there is more travel, then what are the minimum actions to be taken? What is the minimum I can make ? And because of this fourth pillar we did not stop. Dealt with all kinds of problems.
We were ready for everything and kept doing it consistently and the goal was achieved. The wonder of these four pillars is that you achieve your goals [music] not because of will power but because of the system. Like Tony Stark, we may be in the same cave today. We have limited
time, distractions, obstacles. But we can also create a system that automatically takes us to our goals. But for this one thing is needed and that is decision making. for this one thing is needed and that is decision making.
now on, I will design my life according to my own wishes. I will achieve it. Exited from the system. The Wright Brothers or Mark Zuckerberg moved forward not by goals but by systems and you
Zuckerberg moved forward not by goals but by systems and you too will move forward not by goals but by systems. So in the end I am asking again whether you want to run after the goal or do you want to create a system which itself takes you towards the goal. This choice is yours. My only effort with this video was
that like every year, there should be no regrets in your life this year. May there be always tried to understand. I have tried to read according to what mistakes people make. Tried to find solutions. I tried to implement it on myself
and wanted to share it with you. I hope you liked my effort. And if you are committed to changing your life , want to change your life, then you must come to the Mind Mastery Workshop. In this one day we are going to do many things
