## Transcript

YouTube money is sweet and real. But
then, the question is, how do creators
make this money here on YouTube? In this
video, I'm going to be very honest on
how much YouTube pays exactly for 1,000
views here on YouTube. If getting paid
on YouTube is your goal, then this video
is for you. And if you're a content
creator who is starting out on YouTube
with the mindset of making money here on
YouTube, this video is actually for you.
So, I'm going to be very honest. I'm
going to be breaking down how much
YouTube is paying for 1,000 views. For
you to make money here on YouTube, you
need to get views. So, I'm going to be
breaking down how creators make the
money and how this money is being
accumulated by YouTube. Aside the dollar
and the money flaunting, we need to
understand how exactly YouTube
accumulates this money and pays
creators. So, first things first, if
you're seeing my face for the first
time, on this space, we grow together
and we keep it real for each other. We
help each other to grow. So, if getting
monetized and making money on YouTube is
your goal, I want you to hit that
subscribe button, like this video, and
turn on your notification bell. So,
whenever I make amazing videos, you get
notified. Now, I'm going to be stating
three things that influences how
creators make money here on YouTube.
Number one, where you're filming your
video. Location matters a lot. Most of
us believe when someone has 10,000
subscribers, 20,000 subscribers, they
are making millions of money. That is
not true. One thing you need to
understand, YouTube do not reward you
for how many subscribers you get, but
how many views and how many traffic your
channel is able to bring to their
platform. Now, even a creator with 2,000
subscribers can earn more than a creator
with 10,000 and 20,000 subscribers,
depending on where their earnings is
coming from, the people watching their
video. Now, if you have more of
developed country, I mean, developed
countries watching your videos, if you
go to your YouTube analytics and check
your audience, and you see that you have
more foreign countries like developed
countries watching your video, be rest
assured that you're going to be getting
a very high pay because these developed
countries, their RPM is very high. That
brings us to RPM and CPM. Some of you
are new on this space and you don't know
what is RPM. RPM is the revenue per
mill. Then CPM is cost per mill. Let me
break this down in a layman's
understanding. RPM is how much YouTube
will pay you. Then CPM is how much
advertisers will pay you for your
videos. So, if you notice when you watch
videos, you see this advert pop out,
they're actually getting paid for this.
If you're having advert on your video
and you're monetized. If your viewers,
your audience watches your advert, just
know that you're going to be getting
paid for that view. Now, let's go
straight to how this affects where your
viewers are coming from. Some countries
have very low RPM. Especially these
underdeveloped countries like African
countries, their RPM is very low. So, if
you have a lot of your viewers, your
audience from African country, you
should know your pay will not be very
high. And that doesn't mean that getting
African countries watching your video is
a crime. Please, it is not. The truth is
you need to make videos that relates and
resonates with a larger audience. So,
even the developed countries will be
interested and underdeveloped countries
will also be interested in your videos.
Now, the second thing that will
influence how people get paid, your
niche. The truth is not all niche pays
the same. What do I mean by niche? The
kind of videos you're making on your
channel. If you're into cooking videos,
vlogging videos, entertainment, science,
technology, your pays are different.
Gaming, different. The thing is YouTube
will rate these people differently. Now,
you cannot compare a finance niche, how
much YouTube will pay a financial niche.
What do I mean by financial niche? These
people that talk about, you know,
finance, how to make money on YouTube.
The way they get paid is different from
creators who are just into comedies,
skit making. The pay is absolutely
different because the advertisers that
come on this kind of niche, they're
actually different. The thing is you can
have more of this financial institute
coming to place their ads because of
your niche, okay? So, when you notice
that some persons are making higher than
the other person, this is actually
because of the kind of niche you find
yourself. So, get this straight. All
niche do not pay the same. In fact, they
rank differently. So, you should get
this very straight. Before you start any
YouTube content here on YouTube, you
need to sit down
calculate yourself. What kind of niche
do I want to go in? For this YouTube
growth niche, the pay is actually fair
enough, but I'm not going to say it's
higher because there are niches, in
fact, that is paying more than this
particular niche. Now, the third thing
that will influence how you get paid is
how long people are staying to watch
your video. Now, if you create a video
of 10 minutes and people just watch that
video 30 seconds and you know, 1 minute
and they just leave that video, the
truth is your pay will be very low. If
your retention is high, I mean, people
stay on your video and they watch your
video for long, like they take their
time to digest your video and whenever
your advert comes up, they watch your
advert, you're going to be making more
money on your channel. So, I want you
guys to take note of this. So, let me
take you guys straight into my
analytics. Let me show you exactly how
much YouTube paid for 1,000 views. Yes,
before you get paid, you need to
accumulate the views. Your 200 views,
300 views, 500 views, you know, it just
keep accumulating. So, I'm going to be
showing you how much YouTube honestly
paid me for 1,000 views. So, let's go
through the whole thing together so you
guys will understand everything. So,
guys, let's take a look at this
particular video on my channel. So, I'm
in my YouTube studio. I'm going to be
showing you guys exactly how much
YouTube paid me for this video. As of
now that I'm filming this video, this
video already has 1.1k
views. Let's look at it. That's um
1,153
views. So, now let's go back and see how
this video is ranking. So, you can see
right here, this video is ranking four
of 10. Okay? Now, you can see the
impression click-through rate. I want
you guys to pay attention to this. You
know what? Study your videos because
anything happening in your back end,
that's your YouTube studio, will
determine how you are paid on your
channel. So, you can see that the
impression click-through rate is going
down. Like this arrow is down. Meaning
it is very poor. If you click on it,
it's saying people aren't choosing to
watch this video as often as some of
your other videos. So, YouTube is
telling me now that people are not
People are not clicking on this video.
And I don't know why you guys are not
clicking. But, the truth is not all
video will do well on your channel. So,
you can see here it's YouTube is now
suggesting
changing the title or thumbnail can
attract more viewers, but some topic may
just get fewer clicks. So, it may not
really be your fault, okay? So, the
click-through rate is really poor. Now,
the average view duration is very low.
Ordinarily, I get a higher view duration
like 3 minutes, 4 minutes on this
channel. So, you can see here 2 minutes
36 is really poor for this video. Now,
let's go and see more about this video.
Now, click on the reach. Click on it.
We're going to get to the revenue, but I
want you guys to understand this thing
step by step. Now, you can see the
impression.
This is 27,000
impression. What does this mean? This is
saying that YouTube has pushed this
video to 27,000
people, and just 1,153
people felt like watching.
So, this shows that YouTube is actually
pushing your videos, but people are not
watching it enough. And there's a lot of
factors. We don't want to go into that.
Could actually be the thumbnail. It
could actually be the title. But the
truth is YouTube did their thing. Like
YouTube did play their own role on this
video. So, guys, you can actually see
YouTube did their thing. Like they tried
their best to push the video. So, now
you can see how viewers found the video.
Browse features, channel pages, other
YouTube features, suggested video. These
things are very important. So, you can
actually tell if people are finding your
videos properly. You okay? So, always
make sure you look at these little
details. So, let me take you guys into
the engagement to see how people watch
the video. So, the video generated 50.1
watch hour. So, whenever you're making
long-form videos, try to make them
longer. Because the longer your
long-form videos, the more watch hour
you will accumulate from the video. So,
here you can see the view duration is
really low, and it is showing right
here. Now,
I want you guys to pay attention at the
audience. Okay? So, you can see here.
Let's go to the top geographies. That's
where the views were coming from. So, if
I click on this one, you're going to see
I have India. India is about 10.7%.
We have Nigeria, 7.5. Before we have
United States and it's 5.6%. We now have
Bangladesh and we have United Kingdom.
So, this is how the views have been
coming. Like, where the views were
coming from. YouTube is breaking them
down for you so you understand how your
views were accumulated. Now, let's go to
the revenue which you all want to know
exactly how much revenue YouTube paid in
2026 for 1,000 views.
All right? So, guys, the video made
$4.54.
Hmm. Now, how did I make this money? You
can see here YouTube says from watch
paid ads and YouTube Premium. What is
YouTube Premium? Those people who watch
YouTube without adverts, okay?
Yeah, there are people who subscribe.
Now, you can see here that the RPM for
this 1K views is $3.95.
It's not bad, honestly. You know? Now,
how much advertisers paid? You can see
here that the advertisers paid very high
for this video. I think that's the
reason why this video got $4
in the first place because most 1K views
I've seen, some of them didn't even get
this amount in my niche, like in my
channel. Now, the
advertisers paid high, they paid $8.52.
So, you can see before you remove your
the ones the advertisers is paying and
YouTube will do their calculation,
everything summed up to $4.54.
So, guys, I hope you all understand this
whole analysis. So, as I said, the
money, the dollar, we are showing you
guys and all that stuff.
I want you to know that YouTube
calculates your views. So, YouTube will
calculate how your audience are
watching, where your views are coming
from. These things will really impact
how you make money on your channel. I
hope this is helpful and this will
inspire you and prepare your mind for
YouTube. So, you don't come in with the
wrong mindset. So guys, I'm going to see
you in another honest and real video.
Bye.
