[0:21] are considering to get into tanking in
[0:23] World of Warcraft you clicked on this
[0:24] video so my guess is you're considering
[0:27] tanking but maybe not sure what class to
[0:29] pick or maybe you've heard that tanking
[0:31] is really hard or stressful but let me
[0:33] tell you this it's one of the most
[0:34] rewarding roles in the game I must admit
[0:37] I'm getting old on myself and in this
[0:38] gaming landscape keeping up isn't always
[0:41] easy making mistakes can trigger some
[0:42] emotional responses from your fellow
[0:44] buggies so I understand why people don't
[0:46] want to pick up this responsibility but
[0:48] that said I'm here to say that's not
[0:49] right at all I find that tanking is one
[0:51] of the easiest roles for me and tanking
[0:53] I feel I'm still able to keep up with
[0:55] the youngsters out there doing dungeons
[0:57] on high keys and yes there's a lot
[0:59] happening in dungeons but as a tank Your
[1:01] Role is pretty straightforward so let me
[1:03] break down all the tank specs today let
[1:05] me explain my experience on all these
[1:07] tanks so we can find the one that fits
[1:08] your play style the best let's get
[1:18] started before we dive into specific
[1:21] classes let's quickly cover what tanking
[1:23] is all about your job is simple pull the
[1:25] mobs and hold aggro keep the enemy
[1:28] threet on you mitigate damage use your
[1:30] defensives when you need them the most
[1:32] and last but not least lead the group
[1:34] set the pace make decisions and decide
[1:37] the route and keep things running
[1:39] smoothly and don't forget interrupts
[1:41] they are so important these days and it
[1:42] helps the Healer a lot if that sounds
[1:44] fun you're already halfway to being a
[1:46] great tank the start of the season is
[1:48] the best moment to start tanking this
[1:50] way you get the chance to learn the new
[1:51] dungeons at the same time as the DPS and
[1:54] the healers and you won't get told as
[1:55] often that you're taking the wrong route
[1:57] because wow players love their fixed
[1:59] meta don't they now let's talk about
[2:01] each class and what makes them
[2:09] unique the protection Warrior if you
[2:11] like the idea of feeling unbreakable
[2:13] protection Warriors might be your best
[2:15] pick they have a ton of armor great
[2:17] block mechanics and one of the best
[2:19] shields in the game literally they're
[2:21] amazing at controlling fights with
[2:22] shockwave and the mobility with charge
[2:24] and leap is a lot of fun to do plus
[2:26] Shield block makes them fantastic at
[2:28] mitigating predictable damage if you
[2:30] love the feeling of Brute Force tanking
[2:31] and leading the charge excuse my pun
[2:34] this tank could be for you from a class
[2:35] fantasy perspective the warrior looks
[2:37] really cool with all its Spike armor the
[2:39] play style is what raw classic tanking
[2:41] should feel like you got your sword and
[2:43] shield you swing everything that you
[2:45] have and you stand your ground I love
[2:48] hunting transm myself and often this can
[2:50] be a deciding factor for me what I'm
[2:52] playing for That season why choose meta
[2:54] if you can choose cool transm instead
[2:56] and most of the time the warrior looks
[2:58] really dope I will put up some
[2:59] information on the screen some pros and
[3:01] cons of every class while I discuss my
[3:03] opinions there are seasons where they
[3:05] are top tier and sometimes they end up
[3:07] at the bottom but overall they're always
[3:09] viable especially for a beginner tank to
[3:12] get into dungeons I must admit it's a
[3:14] shame that Warriors don't have a combat
[3:15] R but for this season they were in a
[3:17] solid spot it could make their rotation
[3:19] a little bit faster as blizzard lowered
[3:21] the speed a notch but this could be a
[3:23] good thing if you knew to the class as a
[3:25] warrior you have an active play style
[3:26] with cool choices to make do I do more
[3:29] damage do do I Shield myself or do I
[3:31] stun the pack okay I'm done let's leap
[3:33] to the next pack and charge in I can't
[3:35] stress how much fun this is trust me it
[3:37] will never get boring if you like
[3:39] leaping charging swords and shields the
[3:41] warrior is definitely the best pick for
[3:49] you the blood death knight ever wanted
[3:51] to tank without relying on healers as
[3:53] much love death Knights are all about
[3:55] self-healing instead of the traditional
[3:57] Shield they absorb damage and they heal
[4:00] it back with Death Strike they shine at
[4:02] high damage situations where healing
[4:03] yourself constantly is the key to
[4:05] survival if you like an aggressive
[4:07] spell-based tank with a bit of an edge
[4:10] death knight is definitely worth
[4:12] considering CL fantasy they have in my
[4:15] opinion the best looking transmo sets in
[4:17] the game without a doubt and they also
[4:19] bring a combat rest to the group an
[4:21] ability that's a lifesaver in every
[4:23] dungeon group and every tank should have
[4:25] it in my opinion performance-wise if
[4:27] they shine they are unbeatable but this
[4:29] isn't always the case don't
[4:31] underestimate the complexity of the
[4:33] blood death knight if you are the person
[4:34] that likes to Deep dive and figure stuff
[4:36] out and you want a road of growth and
[4:38] getting better and better in time than
[4:40] this tank could be for you ripping your
[4:42] enemies from a distance and now also a
[4:44] whole group is a lot of fun and in some
[4:46] fights really a big convenience you
[4:48] won't have threat issues with blood boil
[4:50] so that's one less thing to worry about
[4:52] but you will want to stand in your deaf
[4:54] and Decay as it helps you in every way
[4:56] the blood death knight is a great tank
[4:58] to master but I wouldn't it to a new
[5:00] player as it can get pretty complex that
[5:03] being said you will have a great sense
[5:04] of accomplishments when you're getting
[5:06] good on your death knight soloing stuff
[5:07] for your group is dead is a huge thrill
[5:09] and it will make your bugies app PL for
[5:11] you when you get that boss down without
[5:13] the Healer if all this doesn't scare you
[5:15] the death knight might be worth
[5:24] considering protection Paladin paladins
[5:26] bring a mix of everything great sustain
[5:29] strong defenses and excellent group
[5:31] support they have an answer for almost
[5:33] everything harded Defender for cheat
[5:35] death Divine shield for immunity and
[5:37] word of Glory for healing plus they do a
[5:40] lot of passive damage just by standing
[5:41] there and blocking interrupting stuff
[5:43] has never been easier and if you want to
[5:45] tank that feels versatile and can
[5:47] protect both yourself and your team prop
[5:49] Paladin is a great choice last fantasy
[5:52] the tear set looks are not always that
[5:54] great they got some cool ones don't get
[5:56] me wrong but not as cool as the warrior
[5:57] or the death knight but their play style
[5:59] oh boy that's a lot of fun shooting off
[6:02] Divine toll seeing your Shields fly all
[6:04] over the place is a sight to see it's
[6:06] one of my most Play tanks because you
[6:08] can really shine on this tank as a
[6:10] beginner or as an experienced player
[6:12] they are easy to learn and there's
[6:14] always plenty of room of becoming a
[6:15] better tank you don't have to off heal
[6:18] that's what the healer is for but when
[6:19] you get better and do help out you
[6:21] easily find out how this tank can carry
[6:23] your group you can make a huge
[6:25] difference as a protection Paladin and
[6:27] with all the utility you have plenty of
[6:28] cool choices to make performance-wise
[6:31] last season it was one of the best tank
[6:33] choices out there this season I'm sure
[6:36] it will shine again if you like to help
[6:38] out the Healer with an occasional off
[6:39] heal a lay on hands you like shiny
[6:41] spells and you even got a combat rest
[6:43] these days if you're a beginner or a
[6:45] veteran this tank would be great for
[6:54] you Vengeance Demon Hunter if Mobility
[6:57] is your thing Vengeance Demon Hunter is
[6:59] a dream they're super fast can double
[7:02] jump and glide and they heal themselves
[7:04] through Soul fragments the damage is
[7:06] high and they have great AOE threat plus
[7:08] metamorphosis makes them look absolutely
[7:11] terrifying if you want a tank that moves
[7:12] fast and plays aggressive this is the
[7:15] one the class fantasy is something that
[7:17] will appeal to you or it will turn you
[7:19] off that's a personal choice the
[7:21] rotation is simple and sometimes even a
[7:23] bit boring but the utility and movement
[7:25] definitely makes up for that transmog
[7:27] isn't my favorite this time but who
[7:29] knows it might be your cup of tea
[7:31] performance- wise they might be one of
[7:33] the best tanks in season 2 The tier set
[7:35] combo is one of the best out of the lot
[7:37] this class is easy to learn fun to play
[7:39] and has a good performance what's not to
[7:41] like both hero talents are really
[7:44] different and fun to play with an array
[7:46] of sigils you have one for every
[7:48] situation I myself love playing with
[7:50] Sigil of change placing it on the ground
[7:52] and pulling your enemies in making it
[7:54] easier for the DPS to Nuke them down is
[7:56] a lot of fun so if you like the Zippy
[7:59] zappy all around the place this is the
[8:01] tank for you it comes with one big risk
[8:03] once you go Vengeance Demon Hunter you
[8:05] won't go back playing any other tank
[8:07] class will make them feel like a
[8:08] wheelchair and you'll miss the fast
[8:10] movement immediately but that being said
[8:12] it's for sure a good tank class to pick
[8:15] up as a beginner as you will get the
[8:16] hang of this play style fast
[8:24] enough Guardian Druid do you like having
[8:27] a massive Health pool and soaking up Dam
[8:29] like a sponge Guardian durs have insane
[8:32] survivability thanks to their huge
[8:33] Health pool if the bark skin as armor
[8:36] and stacking iron first that huge Health
[8:38] pool won't even get a dent they also
[8:40] have freny regeneration for big cell
[8:42] fuels that has the potential to outshine
[8:44] the healers on the HPS pus on top of
[8:47] that they have instant shape shifting
[8:48] for utility and Mobility if you want to
[8:51] feel like an Unstoppable force that just
[8:53] absorbs everything bear might be your
[8:55] best pick class fantasy if you like
[8:58] shape shift liting and animal forms this
[9:01] class fancy is one of the best the game
[9:03] has to offer but all of these forms come
[9:05] with one small caveat you won't see much
[9:07] of your TS set during gaml sure you can
[9:09] show it off in dornal or at the auction
[9:11] house but during game play it's
[9:13] non-existent performance- wise it's a
[9:15] strong tank easy to learn and definitely
[9:17] one of my recommended tanks if you are
[9:19] new to tanking you will have plenty of
[9:21] time to focus on other dungeon mechanics
[9:23] while playing the bear and don't
[9:24] underestimate its resilience when it's s
[9:26] tier the pro players have no problem
[9:28] jumping ship and playing the guardian do
[9:30] it it's always a solid choice in raids
[9:32] and dungeons it's a tank that doesn't
[9:34] give me stress you run in you Stampede
[9:36] make the group run faster and do good
[9:38] damage while you add it as a bonus
[9:40] collecting all the Druid forms has been
[9:42] some of my most joyable moments in World
[9:44] of Warcraft even though I'm not really
[9:45] feeling Dr it of the claw I see it
[9:47] potential but blizzard isn't there yet
[9:49] Bon's choicen is the choice to pick it
[9:52] will make you feel like an Uber laser
[9:53] bear with plenty of moments where you
[9:55] are invincible if you want to get into
[9:57] tanking and like the bear form this this
[9:59] class is the right
[10:06] pick Pro Master monk this one's a little
[10:09] different instead of blocking or healing
[10:11] back damage blue master use stagger
[10:13] which means they take a lot of damage
[10:15] over time instead of all at once they
[10:17] also have great mobility and high
[10:19] sustain with expel harm and Celestial
[10:21] Brew if you like a unique skill-based
[10:23] tanking experience that rewards smart
[10:25] play monk is a solid Choice class
[10:28] fantasy it's it play style is really
[10:30] unique it might look weird on your
[10:32] screen doing the fighting style with
[10:33] your hands and roundhouse kicks with
[10:35] your legs but when you get to know the
[10:37] monk is one of the most fun TS out there
[10:39] transcending all other rotations being
[10:42] simple and complex at the same time the
[10:44] way of the monk is fun to explore and
[10:46] this class will put a smile on your face
[10:49] both hero talents are viable and fun to
[10:51] explore in my opinion you can't go wrong
[10:54] with the monk just Community perception
[10:56] could make it so you're not the first
[10:57] pick which is a shame s is one of the
[10:59] healer's favorite tank to keep alive you
[11:02] won't stress out the Healer they will
[11:03] become Zen when they're running with you
[11:06] performance- wise is where I have a
[11:07] small Grudge towards blizzard it's a
[11:09] shame they're never topped here maybe
[11:11] someday it will be and when it will I'll
[11:13] be Ming it for sure but that's not to
[11:15] say you can't do high keys with the monk
[11:17] its performance can be really good if
[11:19] you know what you're doing recers on the
[11:21] other hand are needed to visualize your
[11:23] damage intake better as the default UI
[11:25] does a crappy job of showing your
[11:27] stagger maximizing your performance and
[11:29] raids is super cool to do as a monk if
[11:31] you want some complexity and good
[11:33] movement and teleporting back and forth
[11:35] to deal with raid or dungeon mechanics
[11:37] the monk could be right for
[11:44] you so which tank is right for you still
[11:48] unsure let's simplify things want
[11:50] something traditional a classic feel
[11:53] Warrior or Paladin love self-healing and
[11:56] not relying on a Healer Death Knight
[11:59] want to move fast and hit hard Demon
[12:02] Hunter prefer big health bars and easy
[12:05] sustain Druid enjoy a challenge and more
[12:08] advanced High skill tank monk all tanks
[12:11] are viable so pick the one that feels
[12:13] right for you I hope this breakdown
