[0:00] when playing league of legends knowing [0:01] how to correctly manipulate minion waves [0:03] is one of the most important mechanics [0:05] in the game and one of the most [0:06] overlooked mechanics in lower elo there [0:08] are three different methods of [0:09] manipulating a minion wave you can fast [0:11] push a wave freeze a wave or slow [0:13] pressure wave and we'll go over what you [0:14] should use and when firstly fast pushing [0:17] this is very straightforward just kill [0:18] all the minions as quickly as possible [0:20] to push your minions into their tower [0:21] this is possibly the weakest way to [0:23] default push and should only really be [0:24] used in two circumstances the first [0:26] being that you want your wave at your [0:27] opponent's tower this could be for any [0:29] reason such as your opponent has roamed [0:31] and you're looking to deny farm or [0:32] simply you can push in for tower plates [0:34] the second reason to fast push is if [0:35] you're in danger for example if you've [0:37] got low health and your risk of being [0:38] killed or if you know the enemy jungler [0:40] is looking your way fast pushing is a [0:41] quick way to get yourself out of that [0:43] lane and buy yourself a small amount of [0:45] time to fall back or have backup arrive [0:47] so what is the downside to fast pushing [0:49] well usually when doing this you are [0:50] just forcing a single wave into the [0:51] tower with minions spawning every 30 [0:53] seconds and taking 5-10 seconds to push [0:55] a wave in you're not giving yourself a [0:56] good window to roam or be impactful in [0:58] any way in addition if you're fast [1:00] pushing you're letting your opponent get [1:01] pretty free farm under their tower where [1:03] they are very safe and if you want to [1:04] challenge them for this farm you're [1:05] putting yourself at high risk for no [1:07] reason also what quite often happens is [1:09] you've now given priority to your [1:10] opponent set up a freeze or slow push [1:12] back at you which can cause you to [1:13] quickly lose control over your lane the [1:15] second method is freezing a wave this is [1:17] pretty easy to set up you just last hit [1:19] minions when your wave has fewer minions [1:20] than your opponents as long as the [1:22] opposing minion wave has two or three [1:23] more minions in it than yours you should [1:25] be able to set up a freeze making sure [1:26] this minion line does not move from [1:28] where it is there are many advantages to [1:30] freezing a lane firstly you're keeping [1:32] yourself incredibly safe and easily able [1:34] to farm while keeping the opposing laner [1:36] overextended also freezing is a great [1:37] option if you're ahead or behind if [1:39] you're behind it can keep you safe from [1:40] ganks and all ends and allows you to [1:42] farm and if you're ahead it's a [1:43] crippling way to deny your opponent farm [1:45] and sometimes even experience depending [1:47] on how far ahead you are the downside to [1:49] freezing however is that you have now [1:50] committed to being in that lane for a [1:52] very long time this means that if the [1:53] enemy team go for a dragon or herald [1:55] your opponent will usually have priority [1:56] over you in addition it means they'll be [1:58] able to roam and gank without any [1:59] pressure from you so a good general idea [2:01] for freezing is that if your opponent is [2:03] great at roaming don't freeze your [2:04] teammates will not be happy with you the [2:06] third and final method is the slow push [2:07] this is incredibly strong and should be [2:09] your default way to push and thankfully [2:11] it's very easy to do all you do is [2:12] simply push the minion wave slowly last [2:14] hitting and pushing where you need to [2:16] what happens following this is you're [2:17] able to build up two and sometimes even [2:19] three waves of minions to crash into [2:20] your opponent's tower this strategy is [2:22] actually really similar to the fast push [2:24] except you're pushing more minions into [2:25] the tower which overcomes the weakness [2:27] of fast pushing and that you don't have [2:28] time to be effective where with multiple [2:30] minions crashed you can now be impactful [2:32] the main advantages of this are you now [2:33] have time to roam you can freely back [2:35] and buy you can often get multiple tower [2:36] plates and you're pretty safe because no [2:38] one wants to fight you in a large wave [2:39] of minions in addition if you do score a [2:41] kill it is devastating because your [2:42] opponent is going to miss so much farm [2:44] essentially this method allows you to do [2:46] anything you want the only real downside [2:48] to this method is if you're weaker it [2:49] may allow your opponent to set up a [2:50] freeze in their favor but if that is the [2:52] case either look to push the minions [2:54] hard into the tower or go in rome i hope [2:56] you found this guide helpful and here is [2:57] a cheat sheet of what method to use and [2:59] when
