- **Ret Paladin: Solid and Popular** [24:16] — Ret is very solid and the most popular DPS spec, performing consistently well.
- **Shadow Priest: Fine** [25:12] — Shadow Priest is doing well but is overshadowed by Discipline Priest in groups.
- **Subtlety Rogue: Fine** [25:53] — Subtlety has good burst but lacks unique utility, making it average.
- **Unholy Death Knight: Winner** [26:47] — Unholy started with doubts but became meta, receiving significant updates.
- **Windwalker Monk: Close but Not There** [28:10] — Windwalker received good changes but isn't top-tier, earning a participation trophy.

### Conclusion

The video concludes that several specs have had dramatic rises and falls, with Frost DK and Arms Warrior being the biggest winners, while Balance Druid and Arcane Mage are the biggest losers. The creator emphasizes that performance can change with patches and encourages viewers to share their thoughts.

swings in terms of who is actually cranking and who is actually sucking an onion. That is an expression because there have been winners and losers. Some of them really surprising climbing from the bottom zero to hero stories and much
more in terms of output, DPS, meta, performance in raids, dungeons. Doesn't really matter. They are absolutely god tier. And who is it? Who made it this season? Who is still waiting in the corner in the back
crying in the darkness? Well, that's definitely almost affliction. Affliction almost made it into the winner team because it did get buffs and it is doing very good and competitive damage when you do high keys and I would know. I am
amount of keys that I'm playing demonology and yeah, I definitely feel the difference. It's not quite there. You cannot really call it a loser. It is doing really well, but it's just not making the cut, which is why we're going
affliction is still fun. Affliction is great and I am still going to wait patiently until affliction gets the actual buffs it needs because I want to affliction so much. I want to play more affliction. When I play affliction or
any caster rather, [music] I'm such a DPS monkey that I want to squeeze in every single cast I can before moving out of the circles. Thing is that requires some proper cast sequence settings and more importantly low lag or
ping. I guess every region has a different connection situation and you cannot really change too much about that. There are ways to improve certain ExitLag helps you with exactly [music]
that. Establishing a crisp connection and having proper reaction time responses when you are playing a high APM on demand caster with sensitive cast sequence settings. I'm looking at you, fire mage. They can
handle stuff like random disconnects from the server since we all know wow is no stranger to that, but also improve your FPS. Also, another issue we know that wow is very familiar with. To handle your online connection better,
ExitLag uses AI route optimization, which takes the connection to the game server that your ISP establishes [music] and uses AI to actually select the most stable one and not the default one that you normally run. On top of that,
ExitLag uses a multi-path connection for your data transfer. In beast mastery player language, that means when you send and receive data from the wow servers, you don't just use the single default path that can become slow or
unstable, but instead, you'll have multiple ones where ExitLag constantly checks and chooses what is the most stable [music] and efficient one for you. You can get ExitLag from our link in the description, super easy. Make an
account, which in today's day and age, it's mostly just connecting your Google to it, but hey, you can choose the option that's best suited for you. Downloading it and installing is fairly straightforward, but if you don't
regularly install stuff on your PC, it's easier than you think. Listen, if you talents, gear, and the rotation that you need, you can choose the location of times and then just launch the app when it's ready. It actually installs quicker
than you swapping spec to a tank because your queue times are too long. And this is just some of the stuff you can get out of these guys. ExitLag is also running a 50% discount on their yearly subscription and also giving out a free
So, what better time to check it out than now? You can start trialing it right away if you're still unsure and see the results of using it almost immediately. Of course, you will be supporting your
boy here in the process on top of it all. Now, I think we can all agree that Arms Warrior is an actual success story. Oh my god. This expansion actually
started with Arms Warrior being the meme of tank level DPS trash, never invite, warrior dead, and everything under the sun that you can think about. And it was a little bit meme, of course, mostly true because Arms was dog water at the
beginning of the season. It was incredibly poor. Now, it's still what I hear from other Arms Warriors, although the rankings and the tier list Arms really really highly. So, I don't know if people are like messing with the
parses and you know, getting funneled a lot of bosses, a lot of buffs rather, to actually crank the bosses in raids. But, in dungeons, it is probably S tier. Like, it's close, right? It's it's in the physical comp that is doing like
what? 1K lower than the augmentations, evokers, and unholies of the world. So, it is very high, very very very high. And considering where it came from, it is deserved. Big winner, Arms. Assassination Rogue is still going to
receive its participation trophy yet. It's not bad. It's not doing too poorly you're looking at assassination's performance, most websites would have pretty good. To be fair, most Rogue specs are around there. It's struggling
a little bit with the damage compartment, and it did receive a bunch midnight with the new Crimson Tempest. We've talked about it in plenty of our previous tier lists. There's not much to say. It's good, and that's most of the
specs this year, but it's not moving up or down. controversial, and you might not like me saying this because it might sound obvious, but let me tell you why we consider it as a winner. It was decent
people are like, "Okay, augmentation seems to be doing quite a bit of damage. It's great." But it took a little while for it to establish itself as the absolute meta god tier that it is right now. And to be fair, like whether you
how long you've been playing World of Warcraft because there was a time and augmentation released and it was the god comp. It was so oppressively brokenly strong that everybody and their mom were like fed up with it, right? And [music]
following that, following Dragonflight, it was just almost 2 years of augmentation just a joke spec. And it kind of, you know, continued up until, now we're actually seeing it back. And it is back, but in a I would dare say in
a much better way than it was before. It's strong, of course, it's very strong, but I can definitely see just as well one nerf away from actually being which was not something that you could say about augmentation back in
Dragonflight when it was just absolutely insanely overpowered. Now it's just a it's, you know, better than arms and all of that, but it is really good. of that, but it is really good. Balance druid is not a good story.
Again, this is also a little bit subjective, but considering that balance druid has been either meta or just below the meta for a long time, seeing it drop to almost unplayable in terms of end game keys and end game raids is just a
little bit better in raids, which is weird because that hasn't happened since what, Shadowlands? Revendreth covenant ability that just made balance like a machine gun of star surges. Like that hasn't happened in such a long time. And
now it's just kind of fallen from grace. Now, I do want to say loser in the sense that it kind of lost its spot in the general eyes of the community, in the general tools that it can bring to a group. It's It's bad, of course, right?
Everybody here is, you know, in Mythic Plus as far as concerned, they're doing keys over 21s, I I imagine. Or maybe 22s by the time you're watching this. And in raids, everybody's clearing mythic mythic bosses easy. So, no spec
definitely fallen from grace from when it used to be like a king and has been dethroned by Well, we'll get to it in a second. Similar to that, arcane is a turbo loser, dude. Arcane
fair, mage in general was looking mage. Does that include fire? Nah, that's not a mage spec. Arcane was of the season, and as people were pushing content more and more, they
realized, "Holy [ __ ] this is paper. This is a glass shotgun." I want to call it cannon, but it's not really a cannon, right? Mage is not the the DPS king that what it used to do in the world within period. Like, I mean, if you want to
balance druid at the grand scheme of things of the modern arcane mage that hero talents, where it was the priority funnel king. It was never really top of absolutely destroying single target. That is gone. Not only has that gone,
point where it's now just ridiculously low. It's hilarious. Martin is crying cuz he he cannot play arcane. It's Nobody can play Beast mastery will remain in this particular tier. It had a little ups and
the season in terms of performance, but it never really peaked into like top top top or dropped down into the bottom absolute bottom of the worst. It's very solid. It feels like it's kind of the the solid safe spec of I want to say the
Beast mastery is probably never going to be absolutely terrible, but I don't know absolutely amazing, either. It's not doing too shabby, but there's a clear
difference [clears throat] between this mastery and the top. And since, you know, never really had like a a journey, the heroes conquest of zero to hero type story, it never had that. So, we're going to keep it in the participation
trophy section. Demonology, um okay, well, here's the thing with Demonology. I actually don't know where to put this one because I think it kind of deserves to be a little bit in the
winner section. Let's Let's talk about it for a second. Warlock has been historically absolutely terrible in Mythic Plus over the course of the expansions. And the only pushback that you are feeling right now in your own
heart is when you think about Destruction's AoE insane scaling that talent that used to generate soul shard fragments whenever Rain of Fire would hit enemies to the point where you would never actually cast generators. You just
cast spender after spender because you had so many resources. But that's Destruction. And that only happened like two or three times at the very most in the last six to nine Mythic Plus seasons. And in the raid,
Destruction was obviously really good. And Demonology was not, though. So, Demonology. Demonology is actually really strong this season. And I've just heard a little bit of boop. Just a little reminder to hit that like and
>> to support the channel. And we would be super grateful for it. But we're going to be back to Demonology. It is actually a success story what's happening to Demonology right now because it was always kind of like a either meh spec or
okay, it's not too bad. But not too bad doesn't really turn any heads, doesn't really make any Demonologies actually happy if we don't have like at least one season where like, okay, it's pretty good. It's no longer the top of the top,
the creme de la creme, right? It has been dethroned by Devour by quite a bit. In Mythic Plus, it has been dethroned by Augmentation as well. And it's probably significantly weaker than Arms Warrior in the grand scheme of things, but it is
pushing the highest of keys, and we haven't had Demonology do this almost ever in that that [music] in modern times ever since Mythic Plus was introduced. So, I say success. In the same vein, I kind of want to bump
Destruction down to loser, but that would imply that it was it had high expectations, and it didn't have high expectations. And the uh the toolkit that made Destruction really good, at least in Mythic Plus, was taken away
not even [music] something necessarily new. In raids, it's kind of a little bit meh. Destruction used to be like really good on cleave fights with Havoc, but now, and it hasn't happened in a while. I think maybe it was really good in
Manaforge. It had like some really fun fights on Soul Hunters. I personally enjoyed it as well, but other than that, it's just it's okay. It's it's meh. If this was any other patch, Fire Mage would probably go into the loser stream
would probably go into the loser stream because uh kind of like a loser spec for at least a couple of seasons right now. So, is it really still a loser if it's been a loser for the remaining time? I I I I
don't know. I don't know. I mean, I love Fire Mage. It's doing okay damage, but perspective that we have over Fire Mage's performance over the course of definitely a loser because it was like meta for a long time. For what? BfA,
Shadowlands, beginning of of Dragonflight when Augmentation was also cranking as well, but that's been too long. It's it's too long. We're going to keep it there. However, Frost Mage is definitely a
winner of this expansion. It is starting to feel the weaknesses of Mage, unfortunately, but thinking of where Frost Mage was, if you would have told anybody in The War Within in uh Dragonflight, me even in Shadowlands,
even in BfA, like, "Hey, man, you know, Frost Mage is going to absolutely cry. >> [laughter] >> "Ha, that's a meme spec, dude." It's no Similar to demonology, it's, you know, it's been
It's been eclipsed by much better DPS specs in terms of dungeons and in raids, but it right now like, bro, I don't play Frost Mage, but I play meta specs. And if I sleep on the keyboard for 1 second, Frost Mage just
absolutely destroys me. If this is not a success story, then I don't know what it is. Yay for Frost Mages. playing Marksmanship right now kind of agrees that it's mostly a loser. Now, we
but let's talk a little bit about design, dude. amount of specs that have received massive backlash from the community with some design choices. Of course, going into midnight, Marksmanship has been
slowed down because Aimed Shot had to be more impactful. And I personally don't mind this very much, but I can 100% see how people would have a problem with this because this type of mentality has been put into Fire Mage, and I
absolutely detest it, and it's a problem where I absolutely detest it as well. While strives on its combat design and being fast, responsive, and fluid is one whenever you take that away, which feels like what happened with Marksmanship,
then I can understand people being a little bit upset. Of course, since then, Shot is back, but I feel like Marksmanship is still down in the gutter, and nothing's going to change with it until 12.1 if there's a plan for
it, and usually Marksmanship doesn't really receive sweeping changes that blows people's minds away, although it might have to at this point. well that I kind of want to keep into the participation trophy. It's almost a
success story. I almost want to put it into the winner team because it's been beginning of the season, but it's just not quite there. Well, honestly, let's think about it for a second. So, you cannot play the physical comp keep
pushing with Arms Warrior without a rogue spec, and that rogue spec is 99% point. It's currently the best performing rogue spec out of all of them, but this that classified it as
a success, a winner story. It never really sucked. It never really was bad, and even right now it's not really going to blow any minds away, not like Arms did, not like when you look where Arms was and where it is right now. So, if if
I'm going to consider that, I don't know if I can put Outlaw in the same specs, but it's not bad, right? Like we're not making a meta tier this year, but it is really, really good. It's just not, let's say, oh, an amazing winner.
Same thing with Survival. Survival was actually was actually doing really well at the beginning of the season, and it's been buffed in the raids where with Void's bar, Survival was actually like turning big heads around, but ever
since then it was kind of like again a little bit meh. It's been outshined by a lot of other specs. It's not bad. Is it the best hunter spec right now? I guess it kind of like swaps that around with Beast Mastery a little bit,
Not much to say. However, However, Devastation is absolutely a loser loser situation right now. Devastation had a really thing going for it at the start
of midnight. Maybe it was a little bit too strong because the Mass Disintegrate ability from Skill Command was absolutely destroying two target, three target, four target situations from what
season, so they nerfed it, but I feel like the nerfs were so hard that it just hasn't recovered since, and we've we've we've had this before with other specs, so we know where where this was going to go, and it never really recovered. Like
they were buffed. However, Devastation [music] just isn't coming now when it has to compete with augmentation that is actually really, really good, you're going to see the difference between the two's overall
journey in in this season be even a bigger of a juxtaposition, let's say, right? I'm sorry, Devastationeer, you're just you're just not it. Devourer, see, this is the thing,
Devourer is the new kid on the block. Almost everybody expected it to be a a winner spec. And it is, you know, the meta meta casher meta casher in raid well. I personally think it's an amazing design, but
this is where I might have to put my bias aside because I would have to consider Devourer normally a winner. However, it's not a very popular spec. I Devourer are just playing it because it's just very good, not because they
actually like the spec. It has a lot of things that will force people to not like it seeing how as how Collapsing Star can be such a punishing play style. It's close in terms of like overall vibe, it might be closer to a loser than
a winner, even though it is the premier DPS spec this season. But again, this is not necessarily looking at the the meta of it. We have plenty of tier lists for that if you can watch on on our channel. It's just woof.
winner like the other winner specs in this tier. Elemental is also kind of in a weird situation. If it didn't have this crazy burst that it's have that it's going for it, the
highest burst of any spec this season, it is absolutely crazy. You're just whether it is in raids or in dungeons, that's just kind of not where Midnight Combat is around. And it hasn't hasn't been that way for a while, I think, with
with the world within, the game definitely switched to a one-minute to profile damage dealers, which discussion, not to mention that it doesn't really have anything to to fill
in the gaps between the Ascendant's cooldowns and that's a big problem when it comes to well, obviously overall damage, but overall performance in terms of like a lot of other things, man. Like being tank level DPS like
50-60% of the time is just I don't think anybody wants that. Enhancement is also a little bit meh. Maybe it had a little bit more of a fall from grace than Elemental did. To be fair, um even though it's seemingly
in raids and dungeons, but there's not much to say about it. Didn't receive any buffs that turn any heads. Didn't get knocked into the ground that made people upset. It's just it's just okay. Maybe this is not necessarily a good place to
enhancement and you don't really want to have these swings up and down of performance, but overall it's it's okay. However, I do want to put Feral in [music] the winner tree mostly because Balance is in the loser tree. Now, Feral
Balance is in the loser tree. Now, Feral has been meh for a very long time over expansions. However, this time around it seems to actually be pulling way ahead for the first time ever that I can remember it's better in Mythic Plus than
Balance Druid and that that's a big big big thing. If Guardian Druid wouldn't be so absolutely broken, you'd probably see way more Ferals out there and you are because I mentioned the Arms situation where Arms is actually pushing the
physical comp group up, you will definitely do that with a Feral Druid. Feral Druid just has uncapped AoE and in a party with an Arms, with an Outlaw, are you going to get? Is it Windwalker? Okay, if you're getting Windwalker, then
Bear. But at the same time you might still have a Feral because Feral is just very very very good in terms of the damage output. It doesn't feel like it's same time raids kind of feel like they're more accessible for a lot more
specs and Mythic Plus is where the the constraints tighten a a bit more and Feral managed to squeeze through, and I don't think anybody expected Feral to be season, and I like to consider it a winner. Maybe you disagree, you can let
us know in the comments. Frost DK is probably the biggest success story, absolutely, period. It started from the bottom of the barrel, way below everybody else in raids. It was absolutely a meme spec. At this point,
if you're progressing mythic, you are as much as we like to, you know, say everybody can do it, you can do it. If you're playing Frost DK in raids when Unholy was just there, you were actively trolling your group, I want to say. But
now, it's the best one in the raid. Like, how the hell did that happen? It's the pure textbook definition of a winner success story, and it's starting to do really well in dungeons as well. Like, really well. Like,
almost Feral Arms Warrior level well, and that's great considering it was just a meme spec. So, wow, Death Knights, congratulations. You have two really good specs this season.
Fury Warrior is a little bit meh. I'm almost considering putting it into the loser tree, but it's not that bad. It's doing really well. Single target is amazing. It's obviously better than a bunch of other specs in the
not doing a meta tier list. It I feel like it kind of lost a little bit from what I personally expected our Fury uh testing it on the beta because it did receive the Rampaging Ruin, which was nerfed a long time ago. It's not like it
just But it was supposed to be Fury's chance at breaking through that target cap issue that it has in dungeons cuz in probably the way you want to play Warrior anyway.
Uh but in terms of dungeons, it always struggled with the AoE cap situation, felt like with Rampaging Ruin, the devs have listened to this and gave it, and then they just nerfed it so much that I don't think anybody plays it at at the
like uh It's just there. design issues. Maybe this is why they didn't buff it cuz they couldn't figure out exactly how to do it. But that's
why. Havoc is also a little bit meh as a participation trophy. Spec is going to stay there holding its participation stay there holding its participation trophy proud for being okay. Of course,
it's been dethroned by the Vengeance Demon Hunter spec. It hasn't been like S-tier or meta since BFA, I don't think. But it was always okay. And it's not too bad either. Now, I feel like his damage profile is kind of opposite of the
Vengeance where you just have a lot of upfront burst. That's really good. But trail off and the more the Vengeance starts to outshine you like by a large margin. There is some potential in terms
back priority damage because we feel like we're lacking priority damage this world within and the last couple of seasons of the world within. Actually, the Aldrachi was just absolutely gutted for Demon Hunter period. And Felskorn is
kind of fun. It's kind of nice. It does bring some decent AoE. But in dungeons, in raids, you want more single target. So, it's it's okay and it's just okay. Ret Paladin, you would consider it as a
winner spec because it is doing really well. Like I mean, it's up there with plus representation. And in raids, it's not doing too poorly either. But I mean, since it got reworked. So, I cannot really say too much about it. I cannot
really consider it too much. It's very solid. It's the better Beast Mastery, Mastery Hunters have been the most popular DPS spec in the game because it and it always performed very consistently high. Now, that baton has
been passed to Ret. If you want to you know, take that metaphor. For a while, it. And Ret has become the most popular DPS spec in the game. Close to Frost Mage right now, but it's still retaining its spot, and it is very solid, very
good. An overall very good Warcraft DPS [music] spec. Shadow Priest was very close to making it into the winner tree. It had a lot of ups and downs and a lot of swings in terms of his design. Devs still clearly
Psychic Link, so >> [laughter] because auspicious spirits, tormented whatever the ghosty things, man, it's I cannot I cannot remember the name of it. Uh it's been doing really well, and I
feel like that's really fun way to play Shadow Priest. However, it's once again as Power Infusion has been losing losing over the years anyway. And if you're going to bring a priest to a group,
Mythic Plus group, you're probably going to bring a Discipline Priest before you fine. It's but you know, it is in the fine tree. Subtlety is also in the fine tree as well. Subtlety kind of was doing really
well at the start. It still retained, you know, that that unique niche of having a lot of burst, a lot of damage. It's It got changed in the midnight, but I don't think that necessarily affected it in any way. It's just a matter of
Unfortunately, Subtlety doesn't really do anything amazing. It just has really good burst [music] as opposed to let's say Assassination that you could say it has [music] more priority to focus more party damage. It's not like Subtlety
doesn't do more damage to a single target than AoE, but it's not there. It's not necessarily part of his design, and there's a lot of dead space in in talents, when it comes to the potential that it had, and it feels like it's been
a little bit ignored [music] recently. Now, Unholy Death Knights Dude, so this is another tricky one to put because obviously it feels like it belongs into the winner tree. Let's put
talking about it. Obviously, Unholy is just very very good. I think we can kind of had a little bit ups and downs. It was always kind of like, if we're going to talk about it in tier list terms, it was kind of like A tier at as
dipping a little bit into S tier being out outclassed before the meta started to settle in. Nobody really knew exactly how Unholy was going to go. Then Unholy was nerfed and people are like, "Oh [ __ ] I better go play Devourer now."
And now it just turns out that Unholy is meta with Devourer as well. In raids, rather it has been doing better and better and better. So, I think it's a definitely a winner of overall. Not necessarily because it is meta, but
because it didn't really start out that way and people had a lot of doubts and a lot of concerns seeing as how Unholy was kind of screwing a little bit. It had beginning of the season and it is the spec that kind of got reworked as the
season progressed. It got Cycle of Death like a totally new talent. addressed as well. Putrify has been changed and addressed as well. So, you know, you can keep a spec alive throughout the course of a season with
realistic to have this for every spec, of course, but we would like to see this for specs like Marksmanship for instance that would have received or would have deserved the level of attention that Unholy got this season and that's just
kind of sad. Windwalker is close to being a winner as received a bunch of changes throughout the season with the new addition to >> its Zenith cooldown. Oh my god, I still cannot say it. Where you have the Zenith
Stomp which definitely was a great addition to the Windwalker kit. It pushed it a little bit in no in the overall meters, meta, rankings, whatever you want to call it. It's good, but it's not really there yet. And it's probably
not going to be there. The season is, you know, it's reaching its climax. It's probably not going to see anything major sweeps on Windwalker. Maybe next season, but for now it's still going to receive a participation trophy.
