What will happen in a drag race between a Lamborghini Huracan Performante and a BMW M2? Which isn't much of a M2 because it's actually a Red Bull drift car. It's an 1100 All Star. Anyway, we're going to find out by racing them over the stunning Corso Mall.
I'm Matt Watson, you're watching CarWant. Let me tell you about that Red Bull drift car. So it's got an S58 BMW 3.0L straight six, but instead of two turbos it's just got one.
But it's a massive turbo, which means that you've got 1100 horsepower and 1200 Nm of torque so it's rear wheels only by a 5 speed sequential gearbox quite like that car, racing at about 1.5 tonnes
so it's going to be quick isn't it? although how quick I'm not sure because it's a drift car which means it's designed to spin up its wheels which isn't ideal in a launch whereas this car has got 4.0 drive it's got 5.2 litre, naturally aspirated V10 640 horsepower, 600 Nm, 7 seat dual clutch auto, launch control

the standard BMW M2's best time was 11.8 seconds. I will go back, practice my start, practice my throttle application in first year and do some engineering stuff to the car and hopefully come back at some point.
Yeah, I think you might need to do quite a bit of engineering and move it from a drift car which is all about no traction to a drag racer which is all about traction. So, welcome to come back.
