[00:00] My reflection on the parable of the vineyard workers. This Sunday's gospel, Matthew 20 verses 1 to 16. This parable of the worker on the vineyard is about the master hiring people in the morning, [00:12] then hired some more people around noontime, then hired some more people about an hour in the afternoon before the workday ends. And then when receiving the payment for the day's work, those people who were hired in the morning and at noontime and at the end of the day [00:27] got paid the same money. So the workers who came earlier complained why they get paid the same way as the people who were hired about an hour before the end of the day's work. My reflection number one, it is never too late for a person to be called by God. [00:42] You might be called by God at an early age or in your middle age or in your old age. God is sovereign and we should let God be God. The scripture says God's ways are far above man's ways. [00:54] As high as the heaven is above the earth, so is God's way higher than our way. Lesson number two do not compare yourself to another Do not be jealous of God blessing to another God is generous even when it seems unfair God rules do not follow human rules [01:16] Lesson number three, God is infinite. He is not limited. So his generosity and grace is infinite. He has no reason to withhold goods from people. [01:28] There is no limit to his infinite abundance of supply, infinite mercy and love, infinite provision. The limit of what a man receive is just man's finite and limited understanding of what he can receive from God. The man who got paid a day's wage for a whole day of work [01:45] believed in the morning that that is what he is worth. So that was what he expected to receive in the morning as he agreed to work. At the end of the day, he realized that the master who in the parable represents God is willing and able to give more. If you connect this to the parable of [02:02] the prodigal son, you will learn that the father which represents God says, son, all that I have is yours There is no limit to the abundant life that Jesus says he came here for That includes spiritual life emotional life intellectual life and physical life of the children of God as Jesus showed us by the way [02:22] he treated all that came near and touched him. If you feel blessed by this video, share it with others. Be a source of encouragement to another. Be a digital disciple. Jesus says, be my disciple and make disciples of all nations. Follow Jesus. Obey Jesus. Be a disciple. Reach out to another [02:40] person by sharing or forwarding this video. Then go to my YouTube or Facebook and share to others the life and teaching video of Jesus I already created. Later, you can create your own. This is [02:53] your chance. You will be glad for all eternity you did. One day he will say to you, come, you who are blessed by my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
