[0:00] Do I have to be on camera to grow on Tik [0:03] Tok, YouTube, or Instagram? That's a [0:05] question that I get asked all the time. [0:07] What do I think about faceless channels? [0:10] And while my honest answer is yes, you [0:12] do have to show your face because [0:14] showing your face builds trust faster, [0:16] all of social media is just marketing. [0:18] And in marketing, there's a rule that [0:20] people need to know, like, and trust [0:22] you. And it's harder for them to do that [0:24] if they can't see you. But I get it. [0:28] Some people don't want to show their [0:29] face. Maybe it's privacy. Maybe it's [0:32] confidence. Maybe it's just not your [0:34] vibe. Well, that's fine. You don't have [0:36] to be the star. But something does. So, [0:40] if that's not your face, it better be [0:42] your voice, your visuals, or maybe even [0:44] your storytelling. And there's a whole [0:47] category of creators out here that are [0:48] growing real channels, making real [0:50] money, and never once showing their [0:52] face. So today we're going to talk about [0:55] faceless YouTube channel ideas that [0:57] actually work, especially if you're [1:00] creative or informative or just not [1:02] ready for prime time. But before I start [1:04] throwing out ideas, let me say this. You [1:07] should not be out here spending time [1:09] trying to grow a following on YouTube or [1:11] any other platform without a clear idea [1:14] of how you're going to monetize it. You [1:17] know, views are great, but quiet as is [1:19] kept, views don't pay the bills. You're [1:21] not just creating content to get [1:23] subscribers or maybe try to luck into [1:26] becoming internet famous. You should be [1:29] doing it, yes, in my opinion, to create [1:31] income, build something sustainable, and [1:34] ideally give yourself more freedom. So, [1:37] as you're thinking about which of these [1:39] faceless channel styles might be right [1:41] for you, ask yourself, how could this [1:43] make money? Is it through affiliate [1:46] links? Selling a product, launching a [1:48] digital course down the line, maybe? Are [1:51] you building a brand that people can buy [1:53] from even if they never see your face? [1:56] So, every channel idea I'm about to [1:58] share with you has at least a couple of [2:00] clear paths to monetization. And I'm [2:02] going to tell you what those are, too. [2:04] But I want you thinking like a business [2:06] owner from the jump because that's how [2:09] faceless creators are pulling in six [2:11] figures. Not because they went viral one [2:14] time, but because they were intentional [2:17] about how to turn their content into [2:19] cash flow. So yes, go ahead and grow [2:21] your channel, but do it with a plan to [2:24] profit. Okay, here are my ideas. The [2:27] first idea is crafts and DIY. I've seen [2:30] a ton of these channels doing well. You [2:33] could show your hands creating clay [2:35] products earrings painting sewing [2:38] soap making, journaling. Monetize with [2:41] Etsy, Amazon craft supplies, digital [2:44] templates, even a digital course. The [2:47] second idea, and I've seen a lot of [2:49] these creators doing well, too, is story [2:52] time or commentary. Think about Reddit [2:55] stories, true crime, pop culture drama. [2:58] All these are done with a voice over and [3:01] stock footage or animations. You can [3:03] monetize it with sponsorships, with [3:05] Patreon, even with voiceover gigs if [3:08] you're good at that. The third idea is [3:10] digital art, speed drawing. These are [3:13] artists doing iPad sketches or coloring [3:16] book pages or even animations. How do [3:19] you monetize? With printables, with [3:21] brushes, with supplies, with merch. Idea [3:24] number four is what I call the lowfi [3:27] aesthetic videos. These are the study [3:29] with me, cozy desk setups, chill music [3:32] with rainy windows, you know that kind [3:34] of vibe. I love those. And you can [3:36] monetize those types of videos with [3:38] Spotify tracks, with gear lists, even [3:41] with ad revenue. Fifth idea is [3:44] educational explainers, kind of like [3:47] what I do. These videos are made with [3:49] voiceovers and animated slides or B-roll [3:52] explaining finance, science, health, all [3:56] kinds of things you could monetize with [3:58] your digital products, with courses and [4:00] affiliate links. Oh, here's one that's [4:02] really close to my heart. As a former [4:04] personal chef, cooking, because we're [4:07] interested in seeing what you're [4:08] cooking, your hands. We're not really [4:10] interested in seeing your face. So, just [4:12] the ingredients, closeup of prep, [4:14] overshot. So, you're showing your hands [4:16] and the ingredients, the close-ups of [4:19] you prepping the ingredients, maybe some [4:21] overhead shots of the meals. You could [4:24] even show someone eating the meals [4:26] without showing their face. You could [4:28] monetize this with cookbooks, with [4:30] kitchen tools. Also, brand deals are [4:32] very good for this type of content. [4:34] Well, there's gaming. You know, [4:36] everybody knows gaming could be done [4:38] with voiceovers. No face needed. How do [4:40] you monetize, though? Twitch [4:42] memberships, merch. Ooh, what about pet [4:45] content? Let your dog or cat or parrot [4:48] be the star if they can cooperate. You [4:50] just film and you monetize with pet [4:53] brand collabs, Tik Tok shop, affiliate [4:55] links. Now, I don't know if I would have [4:57] the patience for this type of content, [4:59] but if your pet is cooperative, you go [5:01] right ahead. Basically, faceless content [5:04] can work if you give people a reason to [5:06] come back. That might be your [5:08] creativity, your editing, your [5:10] storytelling, your visuals. Just make [5:12] sure something is connecting with your [5:14] audience. And remember this, you don't [5:16] have to stay faceless forever. Some of [5:18] these creators start by slowly [5:19] introducing themselves, their face, [5:22] their voice, their hands, or maybe even [5:24] a silhouette. The key is to start [5:26] somewhere.
