[00:01] older you get, the faster time flies. Because somehow it's already been one year since Infinity Castle part one hit theaters in Japan. Crazy, right? [00:18] channel and to another video. And today, we are going to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of Infinity Castle coming out in Japan, which is crazy. I remember the day that I realized it was out in Japan and I had to go off social media [00:31] if I didn't want to see leaks. That was like yesterday, right? No, it was a year ago. But things have been relatively quiet on the front of the second movie. In fact, there has been zero things announced so far. But I do just want to [00:44] talk about what has been announced and my predictions on what we can expect for like the rest of the year. kind of consider this a midway checkpoint video because spoiler alert, I do think we are about at the midway point before this [00:58] second movie comes out because I do think we are likely getting the second movie in the summer of next year. But I'll get to that in this video. So, we do, don't forget to like this video, subscribe to the channel, and leave a [01:11] movie 2 is coming out? Let me know in the comments below. All right, now that we got that out of the way, let's get into it. [01:39] And I do just want to throw a disclaimer out here as I usually do. I am not doing this for clickbait. I'm not going to tell you things that are not true. I am announced and is factual. And then I'm going to section off everything else as [01:54] based off of my knowledge of being in the fandom for as long as I have been long as I have been. So, keep in mind outside of the small announcements that I'm going to go over at the beginning of this video, everything else is just [02:08] predictions based off of previous knowledge. So, let's start out with the obvious. We are about 10 days away from Demon Slayer Infinity Castle hitting Crunchyroll servers. Yes, this took a while. I'm not really here to discuss [02:20] whether or not it took too long for it to come to Crunchyroll servers. One year is definitely a pretty long time. Although, in their defense, Crunchyroll getting it now means it only took 10 months instead of a year for us. But the [02:32] movie is hitting Crunchyroll servers on July 28th at 8 am Pacific time, which fun fact is midnight on July 29th in Japan, which July 29th is when the movie is coming out on Blu-ray there. So, they are actually releasing it to us at the [02:46] Japan, if not a little bit early, because I'm willing to bet that most people are not going to be waking up at midnight to watch the Blu-ray, or they're going to have the Blu-ray magically appear on their doorstep at [03:00] midnight. Maybe they'll get it the day before. Who knows? But I think it's a at the same time. That's not normal. I 100% was expecting it to not hit Crunchyroll servers until the fall. So, it coming at the same time is actually [03:14] kind of crazy and [music] good and bodess well for the future. Also, keep Crunchyroll, it also hits Netflix, Amazon Prime, and a bunch of other online digital streaming platforms that you can purchase it for one time or you [03:27] looking forward to finally getting to see some of my favorite reactors react to the movie cuz they have been waiting on Pins and Needles and I'm really excited to see how some people react to some of my favorite scenes. Now, this [03:40] next thing is something that is currently happening and is kind of fuel for what my predictions are going to be. I did make a video about this a little cliff notes, but Demon Slayer is currently rerunning on network [03:53] television in Japan. They are nearly to episode 19 of season 1, but it's literally just airing week to week on Sundays as if it were airing for the first time. Now, I did the math and they are doing the entire show. So, they are [04:06] going all the way until the end of Hashida Training. And the math put the end of Hashida Training at the middle of June. I believe it was like June 17th or June 14th. I can't remember the exact date. It is very unlikely that the [04:18] second movie is going to come out during this time because EUO Table and Anniflex tend to keep things very much in order. So, it is very unlikely that they're Swordsmith Village reruns and just go, "Oh, by the way, go see the second [04:31] movie." And that's one of the main reasons why I think the second movie is going to be coming out around this time next year. There's a lot of signs that point to that 2 years seems like a pretty normal size hiatus. I I keep [04:44] seeing people say that this is really long and insufferable. And honestly, a 2-year hiatus in between animes. It is not abnormal at all. [laughter] I would much rather they take their time and give us three absolutely stunning movies [04:58] as good as they could make it. Now, you might notice that I said middle of June, not middle of July. And I still believe I believe again this is a prediction, okay? I believe they are going to [05:13] release the first movie episodically and that'll happen right after Hashida Training and that'll go all the way up until it's time for the second movie to come out. This will be a great marketing strategy for them to build up the hype [05:25] since it's been so long since that first movie came out. And it'll get more people able to watch it because it just will make it more accessible if they release it episodically. I know a lot of people don't think it's going to be [05:38] very clearly built for the big screen which I agree with. However, I also feel that way about Muggan Train and they did release Muggan Train episodically. So, after the end of Hasha Training, they [05:52] will release Infinity Castle part one episodically, which will take probably five to six episodes, which will put us right near right now next year. I'm locking in the prediction that that movie will be hitting theaters in Japan [06:05] around this time next year and that we will be getting it in other countries over the course of August and September. Now, what does that mean for announcements and what we can expect over the rest of this year and leading [06:17] into 2027? Well, if they do release it at the same time as they did last year, I think we can expect the marketing strategy to be almost exactly the same as they did for the first movie. EU Table and Anniplex don't often change [06:30] the way they do things. They do things the way they do things. And no matter how many people complain about it, they're not changing their ways. And I do argue, why are we so bent out of shape when they don't have a marketing [06:42] strategy that works well for us? I don't care. I'm going to go watch the movie. even though their marketing strategy was questionable at best. They're clearly just not worried about marketing for these movies because they're doing so [06:55] on it. But that being said, there is still going to be some promotion for the saying they're just going to be quiet until the day it comes out. And I'm just things they are not going to do. They are not going to announce it at a non [07:10] Demon Slayer specific event like Anime Japan, Jump Festa, Anime Expo, etc. They never have and they never will. What is likely to happen is sometime in November, the Kimtsu official X account is going to announce that they are going [07:23] always tell us ahead of time if they're going to make an announcement soon. The likely come the second weekend of December. The second weekend of December movie was coming out in 2025, and they announced this in the second weekend of [07:38] December of 2024. The second weekend of December in 2023 is when they announced that Hashida Training was coming in the spring of 2024. And the second weekend of December in 2022 is when they announced that Source of Village was [07:50] been a very consistent strategy for coming out next year at all, I think we will get at least a year announcement get your hopes up that this is going to be a huge thing. It is likely going to [08:05] be just a key visual with the year. Again, I think if the movie is in fact next year, their marketing strategy is going to pretty much be copy and paste of what they did the first time. The first movie was incredibly successful. [08:20] market this one more, especially since the show is currently rerunning. And if they do follow the schedule, it means that those episodes will just kind of guide the Japanese audience right to the movie theater. On March 1st of 2025, [08:34] to be hitting theaters July 18th in Japan. And then I believe it was like a day or two later. Everyone else announced when the movie was coming out That's when we found out it was coming out September 12th in America. So going [08:49] based off of what I said earlier, we can expect the actual official release date to be announced beginning of March or end of February. And again, this would be with a Demon Slayer event. Last year they did like a takeover in Iikabukuro [09:04] where they had the mini Taiishi which are the mascots. They had a bunch of pre-recorded stuff with the voice actors doing like certain games and then just announced the official date. Now this did come with a little bit more than [09:17] just one key visual, but the trailer was still very bones. Like it was just not really a whole lot of new visuals. What was the main thing they were trying to get out was was the date that it was coming out. And I think that will likely [09:29] happen again next year. Then in 2025, they released a trailer, like an actual official trailer on June 28th, I believe, was the date. I'm I'm pulling these all by memory. Editing Hannah will probably go in and like add the exact [09:44] dates. And this will be like the official trailer with like new visuals sort of thing. There's still not going to be like Hollywood movie level trailers. They don't do that kind of stuff. They tend to keep it pretty small [09:58] and you're not going to see a ton, but they'll probably release it the last weekend of June leading into July. They did do other things once the movie came out. They released like small 30-se secondond trailers of each main fight in [10:13] the Infinity Castle movie leading up to like the international releases. So, that's really all they did for the marketing. I think it is very very likely that it'll follow the exact same schedule, but again, this schedule is [10:27] based off of my prediction that the next movie is coming out around the same time next year. I could be totally wrong. I know there have been leaks that say that that's true. I mean, leaks tend to be pretty correct in this, but I also would [10:40] say take leaks with a grain of salt because you never know where that person's coming from and they cite their source without like actually giving us receipts. So, so that's kind of it. Yeah, we're going to have to wait a few [10:52] more months for us to start really getting information regarding the second movie. Yuma Takahashi, the producer did say at Anime Expo that it's in production. But that to me was like obvious if [laughter] [11:05] he was like, "No, it's not in production yet." I would have been like, "Oh, um, can we maybe get on that?" Because, uh, it you said it takes quite a while. So, I didn't even really count that as anything worth noting because that was [11:18] little bit more patience. Again, I remind everyone when it comes to Demon Slayer, they don't care that much about how much they put into the marketing because everything's super popular. They don't need to put the budget into that. [11:32] And 2 years might seem like a long time. It is a long time. 2 years is longer had. In fact, I think it's the longest hiatus we have ever had. But if it means [11:44] that gives the animators and everyone involved time to put out their best work without being overworked and without having to not see their families for days on end, I support it. And honestly, they can take their sweet time because [11:57] as a manga reader, I don't know if I'm ready for these next two movies to come out. Y'all thought the first one was sad. sad. [snorts] [12:10] box. That's all I'll say. But anyway, happy first anniversary to Infinity already been a year since it hit theaters in Japan. Like I said, I feel like it was just yesterday that I was watching the clock on July 17th because [12:25] Japan, and I knew they were doing midnight showings, and I was sitting people watching this movie right now." And I was so freaking jealous, and I'm going to be jealous again next year when it inevitably happens again. and then in [12:40] 2 years after that when it inevitably happens again. But I think for me just looking back on how quickly this past year has gone by, the second movie is really going to be here before we know it. I'm not going to lie. So let's all [12:53] go support Demon Slayer Infinity Castle when it hits streaming in just 10 days. Make sure we watch it and enjoy it and start talking about the details. I'm some more videos about the movie once it hits Crunchyroll servers so that I can [13:07] pause and rewind and rewatch and talk about some more of the smaller details that I maybe wasn't able to pick up on when I watch it in the theaters and not of thing. So, really looking forward to it. There is some Demon Slayer Infinity [13:19] Castle stuff coming your way. I can't really talk much about it now because I have to wait 10 more days, but I did want to make a video today since it's 1 your thoughts are in the comments below. But thank you so much for watching [13:31] forget to like the video, subscribe to the channel, and leave a comment your thoughts. And I will see you all in the next one. M [13:56] Hey, hey,
