[00:00] You know, you don't even need to show your face to grow on TikTok. I've made faceless videos that get over 100,000 views. I even grew a startup TikTok to 10,000 followers with only faceless content while being super [00:12] busy with medical school. So it's very doable. In this video, I shall share 5 faceless content ideas, the downsides of faceless content, and the alternatives to faceless content. So let's get started with 5 faceless content ideas. [00:26] So the first idea is to use a voiceover with b-roll on top of it. And b-roll is just whatever footage you use that you put on top of your voiceover to enhance your message. You can also add captions as well. So I'm going to give you six different b-roll ideas that you can use and I often use a few [00:42] of these within each video. The first idea is to use paper cutouts and I often use this as the hook of the video and I've made a couple of videos that have gotten over 100,000 views that use paper cutouts in the hook. [00:54] Second idea is to use Broll from Pixels.com. Now Pixels.com is a website with free stock videos and photos. So just go on it, search for the stock video or photo that you want and you'll be able to download it for free. [01:06] Another idea is to just film videos on your phone and then combine them into a video. This video right here almost got a million views and I just combined different videos that I shot on my phone together and then added text and a voiceover So I going to give you a few more examples You can film your screen and filming your screen works well when people recognize the website and if you want to show some sort of credibility if the [01:30] website is a credible source of information you can show that this is fact. Another idea is you can use animations that's pretty cool and you can also use whiteboard or paper explanations as well to really [01:42] demonstrate and teach your point. A few other ideas include using the photo photo carousel feature where you write text on top of your photos and when people swipe they learn more and more or you can express your points more and more. You can also use trending audios if you wanted to use this style of content. [01:59] You can also use mascots. Mascots sometimes if done well can get a lot of views and Benny the Bull and Duolingo are two examples of mascots that really perform well and maybe you could dress up as a mascot [02:12] and go to places like the Eiffel Tower and do your thing. Another idea is to use AI. So this is Insiders AI, and they have an AI avatar talking about AI, which I find super interesting. [02:24] If you want to learn how you can convert any passage of text into an AI avatar speaking it, then check out this video here, where I break down how to do it from start to finish. And if you want to know the place where I get my AI voiceovers from, [02:37] it's called Eleven Labs, and you can check that out. The last idea I have for you is to use a video and then write text on it and use a trending audio and make the video around 7 seconds long and people can read while the music plays and [02:51] that can help with retention and get a lot of views as well. So that's the last idea. So let's move on to the downsides of faceless content. So one downside is that I think people find it a bit harder to build trust with a faceless brand. You don't know if they're [03:07] real person you don't know if the voice is AI generated therefore it's a bit harder to build trust and I think people connect better with people more and people generally associate value with the face that's talking right I'm [03:20] talking right now and hopefully you're associating value with my face now if you don't have my face to associate value with then you kind of have to find something else to associate value with for example it could be my voice it [03:32] It could be a consistent editing style. It could be fonts that I use. Something that ties everything all together that you can associate value with. So those are the two downsides, in my opinion, to faceless content. [03:45] Now, the alternative to faceless content is to just hire someone, like the younger version of me, who already makes content on TikTok and already has a personal brand. So when I started working for Money Hub, the startup, people already knew who I was. [03:57] I already had a personal brand that had like 10,000 or 16,000 followers. And when I started making content for MoneyHub one of the reasons why people trusted MoneyHub TikTok immediately was because people already trusted me and the things associated with me including my voice [04:13] So that was really good for the MoneyHub brand and also quite good for my own brand. So if you could find someone, like the younger version of me, who already has a pre-existing personal brand on the topic of your brand, that could be really useful too. [04:27] You just need money for that and that's an alternative. So, in summary, some styles of Facebook content that you can try include having a voiceover with B-roll and you can add captions to, and ideas for B-roll include paper cutouts using [04:42] stock footage. You can get stock footage from pixels.com or your camera roll. You can film your screen. You can use animations and you can use your whiteboard or a piece of paper to explain things. You can also try having a photo with text and using a training audio using the carousel [04:58] feature. You can also try using a mascot. You can experiment with AI and you can also have the video style where you have a video with text on it and also use a trending audio. The downsides of faceless content include 1. [05:12] It's harder to build trust in my opinion and 2. People need something to associate value with other than your face. The alternative is to hire someone to be the face and preferably that person would have a pre-existing personal brand. [05:24] Well done for finishing part 23 of my free course on how to grow on TikTok. Flex here for the next part and I'll see you soon.
