[0:00] Put on your hazmat suit because this [0:02] video is probably going to get very [0:03] toxic and I'm going to be upsetting [0:05] quite a few people with what I'm gonna [0:06] say in this video. I need to show this [0:08] clip before I even dive into today's [0:10] subject for this video because it's very [0:12] important to lay the foundation and [0:14] context to what I'm about to be [0:15] discussing. Um, I was one of the people [0:17] on the creative uh team to actually vote [0:20] Rebecca out of the original cast during [0:23] pre-production because what happened was [0:25] that CD Project Red first got the [0:27] character design for Rebecca and they [0:29] were like, "She's a lowly. Lowies don't [0:31] exist in Night City. It doesn't fit the [0:33] Cyberpunk 2077 aesthetic." Uh, but Sugar [0:37] was like, "No, the lowly must stay." [0:39] And, you know, ultimately, she's the [0:41] best girl. So, it was it was the right [0:43] choice because what happened was [0:46] >> well well well you heard it from CD [0:49] Project Red themselves. What the [0:51] creators of Cyberpunk themselves [0:52] literally said that turning Rebecca into [0:55] a lolli was the best choice because she [0:57] is best girl. You heard it from the [0:59] creators themselves. And Studio Trigger [1:02] literally told CD Project Red, "The [1:04] lolli must stay." That news article that [1:07] you see constantly presented when this [1:10] type of discussion appears is literally [1:12] straight up from the developers of CD [1:14] Project Red and Studio Trigger [1:16] themselves. So why this is important is [1:19] because CD Project Red and Studio [1:21] Trigger announced a season 2 of [1:23] Cyberpunk EdgeRunners and there is a lot [1:25] of information that's circulating right [1:27] now. But first off, there's a lot of [1:29] people that are doing the typical [1:31] revision of history or trying to [1:33] redefine the definition of what a lolli [1:36] actually is and also trying to say that [1:38] Rebecca as a character is straight up [1:40] not a lolli. For instance, this post in [1:42] particular, it has 9K likes on it. And [1:45] this individual basically is just [1:46] straight up saying that Rebecca is not a [1:49] loi whatsoever. And the reason for that [1:52] is because she is short. She is a short [1:55] character. she there was no intentions [1:57] of her being a lolly character. But also [1:59] we have another person that does [2:01] something very similar. You have Rebecca [2:03] is a petite woman from another [2:04] franchise. Do you think they will make [2:06] her model tall when she's a dwarf in [2:08] anime? Not to mention she's an adult. [2:10] And then you see the individual trying [2:11] to say like counter someone saying she's [2:13] a lolly and they say it's a petite [2:15] woman, not a kid. But yeah, you can't [2:18] differentiate that. Anyway, so this goes [2:20] to show the loops and hoops that so many [2:22] people will try to dive through to try [2:25] to say and revise history that Rebecca [2:28] is apparently not a lolly. And this [2:30] they're they're so close to getting it. [2:33] And it's so painful that they legit just [2:35] cannot admit that they are wrong. And [2:38] let let's just let's get right into this [2:39] because obviously this is a topic that [2:41] gets me in a lot of trouble constantly. [2:43] But I'm just going to say it because I [2:45] don't really care. Okay? If people want [2:47] to hate me for this, fine. But lolli is [2:50] a body type. It is like it's basically [2:53] for short flat women. And they exist. [2:56] Adult short flat women exist. There was [2:59] a cosplayer that cosplayed as Tatsumaki. [3:03] I'll probably put the image somewhere on [3:04] the screen here potentially and you can [3:06] see it for yourself. This is an adult [3:07] woman that cosplayed as Tatsumaki from [3:10] One Punch Man. And I'm going to just [3:12] straight up say Marata straight up says [3:14] that Tatsumaki is a lolly. She's an [3:17] adult, but obviously she has the body [3:19] type of a lolly. She's short and [3:20] everything. And basically, because of an [3:22] adult woman cosplaying as Tatsu Maki, [3:25] I'm not joking, she received [3:27] overwhelming amount of hate. I'm not [3:29] joking. For just her body type, because [3:31] that is her body type. She received [3:34] overwhelming amount of hate for a long [3:36] time and to this very day still receives [3:38] hate because of her cosplay. What I'm [3:40] trying to say is is that Loi is a body [3:43] type. Short, flat women exist. That's [3:47] that's the truth. And it is just [3:48] straight up body shaming. Honestly, it's [3:51] body shaming to pretty much say that a [3:53] woman cannot look like Rebecca or be [3:55] short and flat, so to speak. I feel like [3:57] it is just straight up it's body [4:00] shaming. Now, another thing, too, is is [4:02] the reason why this topic is heating up [4:03] is because Cyberpunk season 2 is coming [4:06] out and there was a lot of information [4:08] that was revealed. First off, we have a [4:11] Shoda character that is revealed. And go [4:13] figure, in typical fashion, there is no [4:16] drama around that. And like, okay, this [4:19] gets into hypocrisy that honestly I'm [4:22] just I'm going to dive head first into. [4:23] So, for those that don't know, Shoda is [4:26] the male equivalent of a lolly. And you [4:28] want to know what's so hypocritical [4:29] about this entire situation? There has [4:31] been next to zero outrage on the reveal [4:34] of this character that is a Shoda. And I [4:37] mean that's a good thing there's no [4:38] outrage, but it is very hypocritical [4:40] because the same individuals that [4:42] basically were saying Rebecca, you know, [4:44] is problematic, needs to be removed, and [4:46] you know, begging for censorship and now [4:48] is trying to revise history that [4:49] apparently she isn't a loi. They're not [4:52] doing any outrage with the Shoda [4:54] character. And you want to know why? [4:55] It's because it's performative and also [4:57] they don't really care about shas. They [4:59] don't. It's all about the loy thing. [5:01] It's the stigma around that term alone [5:03] that really matters and nothing else. [5:05] And it goes to show just the uh the [5:07] performative nature of all of this this [5:09] outrage that they pick and choose what [5:11] to be angry about. And it does they [5:12] don't really care. And once again, if [5:14] they really did care, obviously they [5:16] would put all this energy into actually [5:17] focusing on real criminals and victims [5:19] and stuff like that instead of pixels on [5:21] the screen. But anyways, the the point [5:23] here is is that we are in the stage of [5:26] revisionist history where they are [5:28] trying to revise history and say she is [5:31] not when you literally have the devs CD [5:33] Project Red and Studio Trigger just [5:36] straight up saying that she is a lolly. [5:39] So I just dude I don't know how this [5:40] conversation just keeps reappearing and [5:43] there's so many likes on these posts. [5:45] And honestly this doesn't just happen on [5:48] like Twitter. A lot of people like to [5:51] throw this aside and say it's just [5:52] Twitter that does these things, but no. [5:54] You see this all over Tik Tok. You see [5:56] this on Reddit. You see this even in [5:58] YouTube. You see it everywhere. You see [6:00] this conversation where people just [6:02] cannot accept body type. Flat short [6:04] women exist. And like I said, it's [6:06] wrong. And it's honestly body shaming. I [6:08] I willing to bet you if Rebecca was an [6:10] obese 500 lb woman, I'm willing to bet [6:12] you certain groups would be like, "Go [6:14] queen. Go Queen, you're amazing. Go [6:16] Queen, you're doing good. That's great. [6:18] That's a great body type." But soon as [6:19] it's a petite woman that's short, [6:21] nuh-uh, can't have that. That's bad. [6:24] That's weird. That's creepy. That's [6:25] problematic. And it's just like, ah, [6:27] yes. I guess petite short women can't [6:28] exist. Okay. So, yeah. Anyways, [6:32] all I'm saying is is we are really in [6:35] that stage right now. And we we could [6:37] just see the sheer hypocrisy because no [6:40] outrage to a show character now trying [6:42] to redefine what Rebecca is. And these [6:45] post just hopefully this video puts it [6:48] to rest. Hopefully, you know, anytime [6:50] someone tries to bring up this type of [6:51] conversation, they link them to my video [6:53] and this finally puts to rest this [6:56] entire conversation. But, uh, I will [6:59] leave it at that. If you enjoy my [7:01] content, please subscribe. It does help [7:03] me out a lot and I would greatly [7:04] appreciate it.
