[00:03] fingerprints and I want to share with you audio of chapter 22 of chapter 22 which is entitled nothing can separate [00:17] from the love of God. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. Chapter 22 and here it goes. Listen to it. [00:34] dwells and his presence [music] permeates every atom of the universe and his Holy Spirit dwelling in me. just showed me [music] for a brief moment [00:47] what it is to be in hell and separated from him. fails. Do not hide your face from me or [music] [01:03] I will be like those who go down to the pit. [music] God touched me. A few seconds in hell. [01:15] [music] that I had once when I was in my 30s. As I sat on the beach [music] looking up at the clouds and I thought what if there is no heaven, there is no [01:29] and I'm just imagining all these heavenly stuffs. and all of a sudden it seems the whole universe turned so cold on me, [01:41] meaningless, sad, empty, a sort of state of a void so deep inside [music] my soul, a feeling of fear and dread of the nothingness of life. Those are [music] probably moments when [01:57] Those are [music] probably moments when if extended long enough a person just wants to disappear [music] from this earth and end one's life. >> [music] >> a real dreadful hellish moment. [02:11] I would say it is an experience [music] of being separated from God for a brief moment. I thank God that he snapped [music] me out of it right away and I am back [02:24] to the real colorful world where God dwells atom of the universe and his Holy Spirit dwelling in me. just [music] showed me for a brief moment [02:39] what it is to be in hell and separated from him. I would not [music] want that kind of moment ever again. That was enough few seconds of experience [music] for me to understand [02:53] In contrast God's visitations in my [music] soul throughout my life are many and I wish he does it every day but he does not. [music] Most of the time I just wake up in the [03:08] morning and say "Where are you, God? You did not [music] speak to me last night when I was asleep. I did not see you in my dreams. Please." Then I would [music] [03:21] pray, read the Bible, and simply sense that even if [music] I don't see him. He is near. He is in my breath. I believe one moment of visitation in [03:35] which one [music] encounters God is enough for one to know the reality of >> God, the spiritual realm. I experienced very few of them. So ecstatic, I could understand [music] why David said, "Better is one day in [03:51] why David said, "Better is one day in your court than a thousand elsewhere. verse 10. It made me understand how biblical people like [music] Moses, Abraham, Jacob, David, and many prophets [04:06] became who they are because God really visited them. Now, Jesus, he is the ultimate deal. He only spoke [music] and did what he heard and saw from the Father, which meant he experienced God every [04:20] [music] moment. I am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence. John 8:38. >> Because of the narrative in the Bible, we think that those Bible heroes [music] [04:34] were always in the presence of God. And they were always high in ecstatic experience. No, they were not. Those encounters [music] with God were few compared to the daily [04:47] routine of just living a life longing for God's [music] closer manifestation. Most of their days were lived in faith in the God [music] who sometimes showed in the God [music] who sometimes showed up, but most of the time he was the God [05:02] behind the scene. That is how God designed [music] our lives to be. A life lived in faith. They are these moments of heaven that anchor [music] our faith in the reality [05:16] >> [music] >> when we are tempted to despair. "However, [music] do not rejoice that the spirits submit [05:28] but rejoice that your names are written [music] in heaven." Luke 10:20. Most of our days would be spent [music] on the daily grind of doing our daily routine [05:43] God loves us and that our names are written in and that we are doing it all for his glory, [music] we will miss the rejoicing part in the normal course of our life. [05:57] My heart's response. >> [music] >> Dear God, I thank you for these momentary encounters [music] with you that enable me to know you by experience. [06:12] these, I would feel so far away from you. And when sometimes you seem distant, I pray that you strengthen my faith to know that you [music] are still with me. [06:26] that you [music] are still with me. Let me always be reminded that, as you I should rejoice [music] that my name is written in heaven. written in heaven. Thank you for your love. [06:41] Amen. [music] How priceless is your unfailing love, oh God. Psalm 36:7. [music] God is touching you. What father [music] hides himself from [06:54] his child when his child wants to be with him? God longs [music] to be with you. He wants you to desire his friendship. All of us [music] are God's children. He created us all [07:08] us. In human families, not all sons are friendly [music] to their fathers. Some sons are friends to their peers, >> [music] >> to their fathers. [07:23] Some are closer to their friends, but are strangers to their own fathers. the sons because, unfortunately, some fathers [music] provoke their sons to be so. [07:38] do not provoke [music] your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction [music] of the Lord. 6:4 ESV. [07:51] God is [music] way not like human fathers. God, our Father, wants you to be his friend. Majority of [music] times, the love of a human father is [08:03] >> [music] >> us unconditionally. He wants to be close to you. He wants to commune with you in your He wants to fellowship [music] with you in your quiet moments. [08:19] Jesus showed us the love of God in the parable of the prodigal son. It is an unconditional [music] love independent of whatever we might have Meditate [music] on it until you feel the love of God in your heart. [08:36] the father said, "you are always with me, and everything I have [music] is yours." Luke 15:31. Speak to God in your heart. Find a quiet place and be [music] still. [08:53] anxieties, reluctance [music] to God. He wants them all. He does not want anything between you Speak to him. Express to him [09:07] how you miss paying as much attention to [music] him paying as much attention to [music] him as you should have. Ask his forgiveness for ignoring his invitations [music] in your heart. [09:20] There were many times in your life you felt you were really not as close [music] to him as you should have been. you tried to avoid the encounter, [music] [09:32] thinking that he might ask you of things you might not be able to give. >> [music] >> it is just because he wants to give you a whole lot better [music] than the one you're holding on to. [09:47] You might not be ready to give him your all. That is all right. He is not rushing [music] you. But he just wants you to be near him. He loves you just [music] the same. There is nothing you can do [10:02] that can separate you from his love [music] for you. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels [music] nor demons, [10:16] neither angels [music] nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow. Not even the powers of hell can separate >> from God's love. Romans 8:38. Speak to God. [10:31] Thank him for his love. Be still and stay longer in his [music] presence. You do not have to think of anything. Just be like a child >> [music] >> with his father who is his friend [10:48] by the shore watching the horizon, the clouds, and the sky. [music] no thoughts, just beautifully [music] enjoying the just beautifully [music] enjoying the moment together.
