[00:01] the story of how [music] I went from zero to over $1,000 a day and actually got a little lucky, making way more than $1,000 a day. But starting from day one. So, I made a brand new gaming channel and started doing what the world's top [00:16] YouTuber does. I took an outlier video that did really well, but put 100 times more effort into it and made it better. And I chose a Roblox game 99 Nights in recording it was simply doing daily [00:28] higheffort videos. So I thought there's probably a huge demand for them. And this video was my first victim. So I spent weeks working on a way better 2 days it got 11 impressions. Pretty standard for a new YouTube channel [00:42] audience is. So I uploaded a second video and after a few days it has 11 impressions so far. But good news, my other video kind of started picking up traction. Unfortunately, this needs [music] to be at least 10% higher for me [00:55] to expect this to blow up in anyway. Same with the click-through rate. But it boost of impressions. That's a pretty good sign. So, I immediately got started to work on my third video, but I had no idea just how badly this video was going [01:08] idea just how badly this video was going to completely break YouTube. video, a super viral concept I've seen work, I uploaded it. While waiting for [01:20] video, which was just surviving 24 hours you've seen done by many YouTubers. But things were going way worse than I imagined. It's as bad as it gets. Like, this is the biggest problem I have in [01:33] YouTube. And that is it's it's not even pushing it to a single person. All 10 impressions of this newest video that's been out [music] for 5 days now has come from end screens or channel pages. So, it literally has been pushed out to zero [01:46] people. I don't know why. It's super weird because this one got at least 400 impressions by day three. This one, it also took 3 days to start getting expecting day three impressions. It got two impressions from people who already [02:00] know my channel. What the, bro? So, hopefully like spikes in the future. If you look at this one, it's like day 13. So, I'll give it 13 days. But if this So, I'll give it 13 days. But if this doesn't pop off in 13 days, bro. Yikes. [02:13] This video should be the one to blow up my channel. But by day 10, it's been pushed out to zero people. So, it's literally been recommended to nobody. Like, zero homepage impressions, zero sidebar impressions. I have no idea why, [02:27] bro. For some reason, this video has literally been recommended to zero people. I remember feeling really lost in this moment because I didn't know if it was a glitch by the algorithm, if YouTube had flagged it, should I take it [02:39] fix this issue? My thumbnail test is about to end when it hasn't even been tested at all. These are what the channel analytics look like. 23 views in channel analytics look like. 23 views in the last 48 hours. [02:58] was going to do good. I could sense it's just an entertaining video. Look at that. It took 12 days to start getting a couple views. Literally completely dead. couple views. Literally completely dead. And then day 14, boom. Last 48 hours. Ah [03:11] gota that's gorgeous for what? The fourth video on this. Wait, no, no, no. The third video number three. But what is weird I noticed is if you look at the of the impressions are coming from. It's coming from Mr. Beast Minecraft [music] [03:26] video. This isn't Minecraft. This is 99 Nights in the Forest. I don't know why this 99 Nights in the Forest video is getting recommended to people that want [music] that want to watch Grow a Garden, to people that want to watch [03:39] Bloxs Fruits. It's It's the fourth video. So, I clicked on the video that got my video recommended to me. I got recommended my own video watching this >> Entire world. >> Oh, they're like they're like three [03:52] retention is going to be bad if you're force-feeding broccoli than a little kid who loves donuts throat. Like, it doesn't make sense, right? You can see him eating donuts and all of a sudden [04:04] YouTube is still trying to figure out who actually likes my videos. Then I three, we're already getting 1.5K of [music] views in a day on long- form content. That's over 20 minutes long. That means in three videos I would have [04:18] already started making $75 in one day, which doesn't sound like much, but in three videos if I was monetized. We need to hit 4,000 hours watch time. The real need to make a short asking people to subscribe because those do well. Hit 1K, [04:32] get the monetiz mythbusting videos out, all generating YouTube strategy where you take all of these videos and you just combine them into one like hour-long mega video and re-upload them basically and it can make [04:47] insane amounts of money. So I thought when I uploaded that video is when I would maybe make $1,000 in a day. But what I didn't know is it was going to what I didn't know is it was going to come way sooner than I expected. [05:02] solid. This is what it looks like now. And we're only four videos deep. Yeah. Uh uh that's enough to get monetized. This would have made me probably $70 a day. [05:19] In four videos, I could be making $70 [music] a day. The big issue, I don't I have the watch time, but I [music] don't have the subs. This is the opposite problem many people face. So, to fix that, I'm uploading a YouTube [05:33] short that is a short for subscribers. Okay, for monetization, we're at 999 subs. We have enough watch time, but for some reason, YouTube hates giving people money. And so, it's like 5 days behind. I really have like 10,000 hours of watch [05:49] time, but I only had 800 5 days ago. 80,000 views would be the same as it 80,000 views would be the same as it would have been $400. [06:01] partner in four videos. Monetize your existing videos. just monetize all and now I'm earning. Now, assuming this video gets the same amount of views, I think it'll be making me like $200 a day, but we're going to find out soon in [06:14] day, but we're going to find out soon in the revenue tab. But assuming a $5 RPM, this would have already made me $1,000. So, it's kind of unfortunate because I have 40K watch hours that are not monetized. That's horrible. I should [06:27] have been monetized like down here and then I would have earned $1,000 here. But because YouTube takes so long to track the watchtime hours and then once you do, you still have to apply and then get accepted. Yeah, basically I was [06:43] missing out on a lot of money, but it's okay. And you'll see why. Yeah, it's pretty decent, but way lower than I expected. October 6, 20,000 views. expected. October 6, 20,000 views. October 6, $60. That's a $3 RPM. That's [06:56] literally looking at this all last night. I was looking at it all today. Yeah. And then I realized this, bro. I'm in Canada. I'm in Canada. I'm not in America, bro. So, I'm going to switch it to Canadian dollars and see how much [07:11] it's actually making in in my peasant currency that is apparently nothing compared to the great American USD CAD. Here we go. Save. Adds 100 bucks. So, this makes a little bit more sense. Get it? Literally more sense and dollars. [07:29] Then I also wanted to say that my next video I think is going to go absolutely bonkers [music] cuz it's this video but on steroids. I made it way better than this video in my opinion. Plus I know what people click [07:41] for and look for now. So after working on this video for almost 3 weeks I'm using these outlier thumbnails and it's busting myths that take 1 minute versus 10 [music] hours and it's over half an hour. I think it's like a 34-minute [07:53] video. I want to show you the timeline because oh my god, this is three weeks of recording and editing. Hey, look at that timeline, bro. [laughter] [08:08] I'm going to react live to it cuz I haven't seen yet. Oh my god, [laughter] haven't seen yet. Oh my god, [laughter] dude. 600,000 views and I uploaded it 2 days ago. Oh no. And it's almost 10. [08:22] Wait, it's like 9 minutes longer than this video and it got way more views. going to make more money off of it. Come on, dude. That's viral. on, dude. That's viral. Show me. Load, bro. Load it in, please. [08:37] Show me. Load, bro. Load it in, please. Oh, no. Oh. Oh, look how flat that is at the minute Oh, look how flat that is at the minute mark 60. Dude, that's in one day. [08:51] mark 60. Dude, that's in one day. In one day. In one day. In one day. In one day. In one day. In one day. Wait, the RPN's almost $6. $6. Oh my So, how much did the whole channel make that day? [09:14] something. $965. And then I have one other channel. If this other channel other channel. If this other channel made $35 on this day, this would be my first ever $1,000 [music] day. $1,000, dude. Click revenue. No, I'm like I'm [09:31] literally like $10 off $1,000 a day, bro. That's insane. That's insane. What the hell? We're on a brand new channel by the fifth video. Five videos channel by the fifth video. Five videos are grand a day. [09:47] count. It's still getting views every day, but $3.5 million. God damn. That's pretty cool. I went on holiday, so it's been a month since I uploaded. Anyway, it made me $21,000 in Canadian and it's still making about [10:04] 100 a day. If we go to all of our analytics in the last 90 days, we've analytics in the last 90 days, we've made $24,000 with highs of $2,000 in a day. What? [laughter] [10:18] Huh? $2,000. And this was my favorite comment from And this was my favorite comment from that video.
