[0:02] It calls. It awakes. It lies. It fers. [0:06] It smiles. [0:29] Top of the morning de ladies. My name is [0:30] Jack the guy and welcome to a game [0:32] called Mole which I have heard is very [0:34] very good. It just came out on Steam. I [0:36] saw it on the new and trending tab. Has [0:38] great reviews but I don't know anything [0:41] about it. The last time this happened, [0:43] we got a game like Mouthwashing, which [0:46] was phenomenal and probably the best [0:48] horror game of last year. I'm excited to [0:52] play this. The menu is very cute because [0:54] you can like pick up your tapes. You can [0:55] turn off the computer [0:58] and then put your tape in. [1:02] Am I going to get to play as a mole? Do [1:05] I have to dig? [1:11] We've taken to calling it the white [1:13] rabbit signal. [1:16] >> What I'm about to show you is the best [1:17] recording we have. Oh, you're off to a [1:20] great start. [1:22] >> Just don't look directly at the screen. [1:24] Oh, you're off to a great start. This is [1:26] singing all of the things I like. Whoa. [1:29] Okay, I looked directly at it. Am I [1:31] dead? [1:33] >> We discovered it after the Matroska [1:35] incident. [1:38] frequency doesn't play nice with our [1:39] instruments. [1:43] >> All we know is that it's calling from [1:45] deep below the earth. Yeah. [1:49] >> And that most likely isn't natural. Can [1:52] I just look at it? [1:56] >> Any contact with the signal seems to [1:57] result in death. Am I dead? Oh, [2:05] >> what the [ __ ] Most report hearing [2:07] voices of parents, siblings, or old [2:09] friends. [2:09] >> For me, [2:11] >> people they have lost. [2:16] >> I saw a field of wheat. [2:18] >> Even stranger, those voices all repeat [2:20] the same word. Mole. Oh, dig. [2:25] Oh yeah. [2:28] Okay. [2:31] Got it. Same as every other game. It's [2:33] kind of weird that they still have to [2:34] say that at the start of games. Whoa. [2:37] God is blinding me. This reminds me of, [2:39] have any of you ever played Vagrant [2:41] Story on the PS1? I know, shocking that [2:44] that game's on the PS1. It's phenomenal. [2:46] But the stuff about the main character, [2:50] like the flashback scenes remind me of [2:52] this. [2:53] Petro Kaminsky. [3:00] I must dig. [3:02] I'm still here. [3:08] Find me. [3:13] Dig. Hell yeah. [3:25] That's the thing you click on to start [3:26] the game. [3:32] Good morning. Wake up. [3:38] Did I see a hand symbol show up? [3:43] Oh, shut up. [3:46] Oh my god, I can't see anything. Am I [3:50] supposed to be able to see? Ah, glasses. [3:53] Offer of enlistment to Victor Kaminsky. [3:56] Victor, I have spoken to the committee [3:58] again, and they're all prepared to pay [3:59] off your debts in full, and they will [4:01] pull some strings so that you can be [4:03] reinstated as a citizen again. They are [4:05] still skeptical, but I believe they know [4:08] as well as I that you are the best [4:09] navigator still alive. This might be the [4:11] last chance I'm able to give you. I know [4:13] you make me proud. [4:18] Okay. Mole. [4:20] Mole. Oh, that's an angel. I thought [4:22] that was a [ __ ] [4:28] Okay, this place sucks. [4:35] No cigarettes standard pack crew issued [4:38] comfort always running low. [4:41] It um what was that game I played that [4:44] was based on the wool books where I was [4:48] like drilling through a doorway and then [4:51] they were trying to stop me to from [4:53] drilling. It was a very short horror [4:54] game, but it was really cool and stuck [4:56] with me. This reminds me of that. [5:01] Okay, let's light one up. Oh, yeah. That [5:04] cams the shakes. [5:11] Okay, empty out the ashes. That [5:12] cigarette's still good. You could have [5:14] just smoked that one. [5:17] Oh. [5:20] Oh, [5:24] okay. What is this? Is this the thing I [5:26] found? Unlocks dorm 4 deck floor. Insert [5:30] into a door panel. Victor Kaminsky. [5:34] Drill vessel piloting. Navigational [5:36] course corrections. Evaluating drilling [5:38] intensity based on environment. [5:40] Divorced 43 under review for [5:43] citizenship. And I have a criminal [5:45] history. [5:47] Damn. [5:49] Okay. I want to go deeper down than [5:51] anyone. [5:54] Okay. Did I draw this at 43 years old? [6:05] Do not leave in panel. [6:09] Whoa, that's cool. [6:13] Whoa, [6:15] dude. This is sick. [6:18] Is this based on wool [6:20] herb silo as the TV show is called? [6:25] Message 9th of November 1982. That [6:28] changed into something else for a [6:29] second. [6:31] 11th of April. Wait, I want to see that. [6:33] What year was that? [6:35] 1979. Huh. Ship atmosphere. Flow rate [6:40] stable. Scrubbers online. Fan system in [6:44] on a ship. [6:46] Oh, I'm in a drill ship. Current depth [6:48] 6,914 [6:50] m. Our target is 8,754 [6:53] m. [6:55] Cool. [7:04] Huh. Okay. Navigator Victor Kaminsky. [7:08] Who else is here? Engineer, [7:11] administrator, [7:13] e Oh, geologist. I said ecologist. [7:18] Breakfast lunch. [7:21] This is sick. It gives me uh Iron Lung [7:24] vibes like the stuff David put in the [7:27] game. It has a similar aesthetic. [7:32] Unread order available in terminal. [7:35] Access communication system and review [7:37] immediately. [7:38] Huh? Communications. Oh, [7:44] no. Inserted cassette. Okay, [7:49] man. Is just telling me the same thing. [7:55] Oh, new cassette. [8:04] Order inscribed. Ready to remove [8:09] inbox status. No new orders. What did I [8:11] do? [8:18] Strata communication system W and S. [8:25] Huh. Oh, A and D as well. What is going [8:29] on? I know the white rabbit is [8:31] disrupting most communications, but [8:33] you've been at a standstill for over 12 [8:35] hours now. I hope this is just another [8:37] Kaminsky issue, but you must get him [8:40] back into the cockpit. Right now, you [8:43] are far too off course for the autopilot [8:46] to keep up without a navigator. This is [8:48] also a gentle reminder that all ship [8:50] systems are dependent on the power that [8:52] is generated by the drill itself, [8:54] including temperature control. Getting [8:56] the drill moving again must be your [8:58] absolute top priority. Otherwise, you'll [9:00] be boiled alive in a few hours. For now, [9:03] you will have to divert power yourself [9:05] by rrooting the fuse box on the wreck [9:07] floor. I refuse to cancel this mission [9:10] over one drunk. Too much is at stake. [9:12] Remember, we're all depending on you for [9:14] tomorrow. [9:16] For those who come after. [9:19] Okay, I'm going to keep this tape. [9:22] Okay. Recruit for tomorrow. Wow. [9:27] Soviet era propaganda in full swing for [9:30] a drill going into the Earth. [9:33] Maybe not the Earth. Who knows? [9:37] This is a big ship in terms of like what [9:40] it's doing. [9:42] Dorms, wreck room, deck, engine hall, [9:44] engine room. This thing is massive. [9:50] Oh god. Oh, that's not good. [9:55] Oh, for [ __ ] sake. I thought I heard [9:56] steps behind me. [10:03] That bad. I bad. [10:10] What am I supposed to do? [10:13] Oh, step one, fuse installation. Insert [10:16] the fuse into the sockets. Do not force [10:18] insertion. Misalignment may cause [10:20] shortening. Okay. Load calibration. [10:22] Rotate the middle selector knob to match [10:24] the amount of fuses installed. Okay, so [10:27] one is that [10:31] yes [10:32] uh circuit activation. Press and hold [10:35] the red glowing charge button until the [10:38] indicator light turns solid green. [10:44] Okay. [10:45] Uh phase alignment. Flip switches 1 3 6 [10:48] and seven into the upright on position. [10:50] Switches may be stiff. Apply steady [10:52] pressure 13, six, and seven. [10:59] Okay. Step five, main breaker engage for [11:02] Okay. [11:05] Ha. [11:08] Whoa. [11:12] Tesla's off course. Course correction [11:13] required, bro. Big reveal. [11:18] Things have gone [ __ ] south here on [11:21] Fraggle Rock. [11:23] What the [ __ ] What happened to you? [11:26] Who are you? The geologist. [11:30] Famous geologist makes groundbreaking [11:32] discovery. Signal found by Dr. Ritzenko. [11:36] Can I read this? I can't get any closer [11:38] to it. [11:40] Whoa. Okay. You were stabbed to death [11:42] with a screwdriver. [11:47] Oh [ __ ] Is the whole crew dead? Am I [11:50] the only one alive? [11:52] Nation puts faith in mole. Ah, we're the [11:55] mole. A strata M13 drilling vessel, [11:58] affectionately dubbed the mole by its [12:00] fourman crew. It's set to depart later [12:02] this week, targeting the near impossible [12:04] depth of 8,700 m. What's the deepest [12:08] humans have ever dug in real life? [12:11] Mission director Stan Adamo is hoping to [12:14] locate the source of the enigmatic white [12:16] rabbit signal, which experts believe may [12:19] be causing the disturbances currently [12:21] plaguing the nation. The M13 is by some [12:24] seen as mining and energy conglomerate [12:27] Strata's attempt to set things right [12:29] after previous drilling vessel suddenly [12:31] went missing at lower depths, its crew [12:34] cut off. [12:36] Damn, this is like the plot of a movie [12:38] immediately. [12:40] Like um there is a movie where they go [12:42] into the earth. Is it just called core? [12:45] I think it's called core. Wonder if this [12:47] is uh inspired by it. To do heating [12:50] system cycling regular irregular not [12:52] critical check ballast tanks again. Crew [12:55] fatigue abort three yes and one no. [12:59] I'm curious if you were the no and you [13:01] got killed for it. Vessels of course [13:03] check diagnostics in the cockpit located [13:05] on the deck. [13:11] Okay. Source of massive blackouts [13:14] discovered. Signal found by Dr. Ritzeno. [13:20] Dude, this is right up my alley. I love [13:24] [ __ ] like this. [13:28] Okay, just have to go down one more. [13:34] How do I Oh, yeah. [13:43] Yeah, I know. I'm trying to fix it, bro. [13:47] I have to turn on power again down here. [13:52] Oh, I have to do it from up here [13:58] and put it in the deck. It's one uh one [14:02] 367. [14:04] Oh, wait. [ __ ] Was I supposed to do [14:05] that first? [14:10] Okay, [14:13] Sinial [14:16] Progress. Oh, bloody, [14:20] you have [ __ ] nailed the aesthetic on [14:22] this fix vent. Good idea. Okay, I need a [14:26] green and I need [14:30] engine. You don't have one. [14:35] It's in the office. [14:37] Oh, I hope I don't find more dead [14:38] people. Mission goals, keep drilling [14:41] until target depth is reached. Locate [14:43] signal source. Find out what happened to [14:45] previous expedition for tomorrow. This [14:47] is like Iron Long meets expedition 33. [14:51] Find out what happened to previous [14:53] expedition for tomorrow. Something went [14:56] wrong with vent tell Bowden. [14:59] Okay, [15:01] cuz now my brain is immediately in [15:04] expedition 33. [15:06] It's like who is the paintress and why [15:08] is she doing it? Now, your mileage [15:11] varies depending on how that outcome [15:13] actually plays out. I'm not going to [15:15] spoil what happens in exposition 33. Um, [15:19] but that premise alone, I'm like, that's [15:21] like a novel. That's like a movie. I'm [15:22] in. And this one immediately as well, we [15:25] have a clear goal. We know who's [15:27] involved. It's really simple on on [15:30] paper. And there's a white rabbit signal [15:32] we're trying to get to. That is [ __ ] [15:35] gold. It's like Stalker. Have you ever [15:37] watched that or played it [15:40] or read it? Bodan has been losing teeth, [15:44] which makes him even more irritable than [15:46] usual. Other than that, the man seems to [15:48] be keeping it together better than the [15:50] rest of us. Speculating it might be [15:52] because he has a family waiting for him [15:53] back home. Something to keep him going. [15:56] Victor, White Rabbit's sickness is hard [15:58] on us all, but seems to be hitting [15:59] Victor harder than most. Not surprising, [16:02] sadly. The signal seems intent on [16:04] digging up the parts of the past we'd [16:07] prefer to forget. And Victor was doing [16:09] his best to forget. I know. I'll get to [16:13] it. Even before the mission. Remarkable [16:15] that he's still one of the nation's best [16:18] navigators even when half drunk. Still [16:20] giving him some extra attention. Need [16:21] him to know that he's not alone. [16:24] Okay. How about this Ysef? Also, what's [16:28] white rabbit sickness? Sickness. Signis [16:32] Yseph lives on his own little world as [16:35] usual. He claims to be receiving [16:36] instructions about the white rabbit from [16:38] a dead friend, which is never a good [16:40] sign. Getting near impossible to [16:42] communicate with him about anything [16:43] other than the signal. As long as I've [16:45] known him, he's always been obsessive [16:47] about his work. This seems different. [16:50] Perhaps he simply sees more than the [16:52] rest of us. Stan, there's also a cat [16:54] online called Stan who gives a little [16:57] like [16:58] like the same expression over and over. [17:00] ever. Whenever I see the name Stean, I [17:02] think of the cat. Joints are acting up. [17:04] Eyesight seems to be deteriorating. And [17:06] emptying the bladder is more difficult [17:07] than I'm remembering. It's ever been. [17:10] What could be said? The white rabbit [17:11] seems to want to remind me of my age. [17:13] She is there, too. Of course, she always [17:15] is. Bro, I This is like, [17:19] oh, there's [ __ ] texture here. I [17:22] [ __ ] love it. Emergency 80164188. [17:27] Okay. But I need that at some point. [17:32] Cockpit. [17:36] Okay. [17:39] Oh, I really thought someone was going [17:40] to be dead in here. [17:45] Okay. So, what's below us? The engine [17:48] hole and the engine room. [17:50] Oh, that dripping makes it sound like [17:52] someone's up there. [17:54] I wonder if we can find more fuses at [17:56] some point. [17:57] breaking through to the future strata. [17:59] That's so good. [18:03] Such cool iconography [18:06] cuz like you need green, but I only have [18:10] blue. Blue can't get me into the [18:15] other place up above, can it? [18:19] Cuz it's a communication one. But there [18:21] is Oh god, there's no lights up here [18:22] now. [18:27] Where is that? Where's the blue one? [18:37] Yeah. [18:39] I was like, this is a message. [18:43] Check diagnostics in the cockpit located [18:45] in the deck. Okay. So, that is my goal. [18:49] Jesus. Trying to get around here when I [18:51] can't see anything. Yeah, engine is the [18:53] next one. [18:58] So, how do I get in? North, south, east, [19:00] west [19:04] h. [19:08] And the engine I can't get into either. [19:10] Fix vent. [19:14] Oh, buddy. I'm sorry. [19:16] I'm going to have to steal that [ __ ] [19:18] screwdriver that killed you. [19:22] Can I see it? [19:25] Ah, I have to turn the lights back on. [19:34] At least it's not that hard. What if his [19:36] body was gone? That wouldn't make any [19:39] sense, but it would be cool to think [19:41] about. Oh, wait. Maybe I can read this [19:43] like this. Ah, [19:46] famous geologist makes groundbreaking [19:47] discovery signal found by Dr. [19:49] Is something trying to contact us from [19:51] below? The frequency of the signal seems [19:53] to change depending on the observer. Dr. [19:57] Hitenko says, "In plain terms, it speaks [20:00] in different ways depending on who's [20:02] listening. Ever since the Matroska [20:04] incident, most citizens of the span have [20:07] in some way or another experienced Oh, [20:11] spurn. Spurn. SPRN. [20:15] Cool. [20:19] Okay. [20:23] 67 [20:26] 67 67 [20:30] Oh god, I actually have to unscrew. [20:34] I am the one who does the screwing. [20:43] I see. Oh Jesus. Oh, I would not trust [20:46] this. [20:50] I'm lucky that I have developed a [20:52] version of my life that does not ever [20:53] have me crawling through a vent ever. [20:55] Ever [20:57] because this is just stupid. [21:03] Is that a plant? [21:08] It's making that sound. [21:19] Something's moving up there. [21:28] I'm also getting like Event Horizon [21:30] vibes and Sunshine. [21:34] Also great films if you've ever seen [21:35] them. [21:37] Throne 7:32. and an angel descended upon [21:41] the earth and wiped every tear from [21:43] their eyes. [21:45] What if where I'm going is just hell? [21:47] What if the signal is Satan on his [21:50] throne in pandemonium? [21:54] How do I get there? [22:00] Oh, [ __ ] yeah. Oh, [ __ ] yeah. Gibbus [22:05] input coordinates. [22:07] This is iron long. I don't know where [22:09] I'm going. [22:11] Oh no. [22:16] What? [22:22] Are you [ __ ] kidding me? [22:30] Uh, [22:32] what? [22:35] Sergey Voronov. Yeah, it was a bit warm [22:39] down there. Depth achieved 3042. [22:43] Elena Moratovva. The earth is not a foe. [22:46] She is a challenge. Depth achieved 4287. [22:50] Alexia Patrov. The deeper we go, the [22:53] higher our nation stands. 4904. [22:57] And we're at 6482. Is that us? I can't [23:02] remember. [23:04] Oh god. What in the [ __ ] back rooms [23:06] is this? [23:07] Why am I in a classroom? I've gone [23:09] crazy. I've got white rabbit sickness [23:10] all over my head. [23:13] Oh, green. Nice. [23:16] Like a piece missing in it. [23:21] Strata Institute of Navigational Studies [23:23] Navigator Aptitude Final Examination [23:25] Drill Vessel Steering Systems. Developed [23:28] and administered on behalf of the [23:30] government and people of the SPRN. Do [23:32] not turn this page until you are told to [23:35] do so. Can I turn the page? [23:39] Okay. [23:41] One record. [23:45] Okay. You pull a lever down, the drill [23:47] go, and then tape. [23:49] Two, process data. Tape into computer [23:52] equals Yes. And then, Professor Adamco, [23:55] you get a cassette and then you get [23:57] coordinates. [24:00] Uhhuh. [24:02] So up is x coordinates and down is [24:06] ycoordinates. [24:09] Where the [ __ ] is this record thing? [24:14] Was that back here? [24:18] Yes. [24:20] So you're the [24:22] record thing, I'm assuming. [24:25] Navigation cassette. [24:27] Okay. [24:33] Seismic data encoded take out cassette. [24:35] Did we set off a blast [24:38] to get like seismic data to be like Oh [24:41] yeah, we go. Oh, piece is missing. It's [24:43] the [ __ ] turn parts. That's cool. We [24:46] set out a blast to get like a shock wave [24:48] of it. Um, [24:53] data encrypted must be decrypted in a [24:55] seismic terminal. Didn't I just do that? [24:58] Wait, what was the next step? [25:01] Oh, yeah. We don't put it in that yet. [25:03] We put it in a computer. A kaper. [25:06] Computer. Decode this. [25:12] Diagnostic report. Current course [25:14] outdated. Input coordinates here. [25:16] Waypoint set. Yes. Left engine [25:17] operational. Yes. Right engine [25:18] operational. Yes. Where's the Are you [25:21] the [25:23] computer? [25:27] Decrypt data and press space. Okay, I'm [25:30] pressing it. [25:37] Ground density 4. Is that good? What? [25:43] What's the ground density here in my [25:45] house? [25:48] Okay. [25:50] I don't want to [ __ ] something up and [25:51] then have to restart it all. I'm sure [25:53] I'm not going to do that. But we do up [25:56] and then down. [25:59] I don't know if that matters, but I'm [26:00] following protocol. [26:05] But what about left and right? [26:12] Okay, that doesn't do. Okay. Y73x50. [26:24] How do I [26:26] Oh [ __ ] [26:32] Okay. So, I'm setting it. How do I know [26:35] where I'm supposed to go? [26:40] Oh, drill speed at four is the highest [26:43] ground per centimeter cubed. Exceeding [26:45] max speed risks overheating or drill [26:48] collapse. So, I have to do 30 RPM. Oh, [26:50] no. That's the lowest RPM for the [26:52] highest density. [26:55] You got it. Okay. I'm confused about [26:57] what coordinates I just got. [27:02] Cassette inserted. signal why I [27:08] Okay, I got the terrain density, but I [27:11] didn't get did I get coordinates. [27:21] I don't know where where how what [27:25] am I dumb? [27:28] Get coordinates. [27:30] Yeah, but how? [27:32] I did the computer thing and then you [27:33] put it in and you get the coordinates. [27:34] But [27:36] oh, it got dark in here. What the [ __ ] [27:40] Why'd it get dark? How did it get [27:42] burned? [27:49] What happens if I put it back in here? [27:54] Seismic data found. Recording will [27:55] overwrite the existing memory. Okay, I [27:58] don't want to do that [28:01] cuz then I can put this in, but I can [28:02] change these coordinates, [28:07] can't I? [28:09] Oh. Oh, [ __ ] dumb. [28:12] I was looking for a number, not it's [28:15] just it's laid out in picture form, [28:17] guys. [28:20] That sucks. [28:21] Um, and then this is the RPM. So, 30 [28:36] Is this good? [28:45] Am I Am I doing anything? [28:49] Input coordinates to steer to target. [28:52] I thought I just did. 28 and 26. [28:57] Oh, [28:59] that's confusing. I thought I had to [29:00] pull it back for some reason. Uh, Y was [29:03] 30 and X was 26. [29:08] Hell yeah. Now, can I go forward? [29:14] Oh [ __ ] [29:23] Have I Have I done it? Auto. [29:30] That's sick. [29:38] What? Vital task zero. Curtain course [29:40] set. Something's ringing. [29:45] Hello. [29:53] Where am I? Where are you? [30:02] God. [30:09] It reacts to us as we drill, as we get [30:12] closer. [30:15] >> It's alive, Victor. [30:17] I know things don't seem good now, [30:19] >> but we have to keep digging. [30:22] >> Come meet me in my dorm. I have to show [30:24] you what I found. [30:33] >> Cool. [30:39] Something's heavy upstairs. [30:44] The body is gone. [30:51] Oh, I didn't really come in and check [30:52] here before. [30:57] [ __ ] is that? Oh, another fuse. [31:00] Okay. [31:02] Oh, I can't use this right now. I'll [31:04] keep that for later. [31:08] Oh my god, there's blood everywhere. [31:18] It calls. It awakes. It lies. It fers. [31:21] It smiles. [31:27] What the [ __ ] is that? [31:31] What the [ __ ] What did that say on the [31:34] screens? I don't know. Where am I going? [31:37] Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew. [31:41] Survive [31:45] the monster. Bro, what the [ __ ] is [31:47] happening? [31:49] I can't leave without my gllet. [31:53] Breathe out. [31:55] You did well. [31:57] That was nothing but a creature of the [31:59] past. [32:01] I'm afraid it gave up on your kind a [32:03] long time ago. [32:05] I never did. [32:08] Mom. [32:10] Though I wonder why you were here so far [32:12] below the earth. [32:14] I suppose you were still looking for [32:16] your son. [32:20] That was cool. [32:23] Angel, help me. Gabriel, unless you're [32:25] the angel of death, then don't help me. [32:27] Kill something else. [32:33] The Vastto Initiative. A sun that never [32:35] sets. [32:37] The light of consciousness is the most [32:39] precious thing any citizen may own. [32:41] Never let go. Must be kept cold. My [32:45] consciousness. [32:47] What the [ __ ] I can't move. [32:50] He's still here somewhere in this old [32:51] painful memory of yours. [32:56] You just have to find him again. Whoa. [33:00] It's [33:02] maybe the signal is making us cuz it [33:04] says we all react differently. Maybe [33:06] it's tapping into our memories and then [33:07] showing us [ __ ] that we're scared of. [33:10] So the other guy was like, "Something [33:12] else is on the ship, but it's just [33:14] hallucinations." [33:16] Maybe the guy did kill himself with the [33:18] screwdriver cuz he was terrified. [33:26] Hey key. [33:30] Is it in the crucifix [33:35] institute bank of the SPRN? Notice of [33:37] outstanding debt. Kaminsky. The [33:39] institute notes that the total sum of [33:40] your debt now exceeds 39 million. Zev. [33:45] How much is that? This letter serves as [33:47] a reminder that we have the authority to [33:49] dis dispossess your citizenship status [33:52] should we know should we see no change [33:56] in your capacity to repay the [33:57] outstanding amount. Following is a [33:58] summary of your recent significant bank [34:00] statements. Hospital, of course. The [34:03] Vastto initiative took 12 million off [34:06] me. Relief for recent termination. [34:11] Crya oblasterary arrangements and relief [34:14] for prolonged unemployment. You [34:17] [ __ ] [34:19] Man, the world really just wants some [34:21] people dead, doesn't it? [34:24] What are these things? I keep seeing [34:25] these around. [34:32] Oh, [34:34] September 1982. [34:37] Still asleep in the static. [34:41] Bring him to the TV. [34:44] Oh, [34:47] the past lies buried down here, Victor. [34:51] But it doesn't have to be set in stone. [34:55] Your son can still be saved. I can help [34:59] you find what you seek. [35:05] And in the end, perhaps we can both find [35:08] redemption. [35:09] Who are you? Are you my consciousness? [35:13] Wake up for the second time. Not again. [35:20] Can't see anything this time. Oh, there [35:21] you go. [35:26] my glasses. [35:29] Just consider what I said last spoken [35:30] through. Sorry, Mr. Long. Is this what I [35:33] read before? [35:35] Really don't think you should be calling [35:36] that number. I know you want to cling [35:38] out to the hope, but it's best to see if [35:40] they're off and they want you to take [35:41] you somewhere that doesn't exist. A [35:42] place that will never let you truly [35:43] heal. Okay. New meaning now. [35:50] Okay, [35:54] I'm back up and I'm ready to go. [36:00] Who wants a piece of Victor? [36:06] It's very dark out here. Oh [ __ ] [36:13] Oh, [36:16] give me that. [36:21] Attention. No valid waypoint. Acquire [36:22] updated coordinates from the lab. Okay, [36:24] I know how to do that now. Take the [36:27] cassette. You will need it. I'm sorry, [36:29] bro. You got effed in the B. [36:33] My dear friend, let me tell you [36:34] something I think would surprise you. [36:36] Let me tell you something. Let me tell [36:38] you something. Ever since I was first [36:40] exposed to the signal, I've been hearing [36:42] your voice again. This is a strange and [36:44] wonderful thing in itself, but the [36:46] things you reveal to me about the signal [36:48] are stranger and more wonderful still. [36:50] You told me to interpret the frequency [36:52] as brain waves. It's not fickle or [36:55] random, but an expression of something [36:57] almost like a mind, only one more vast [37:00] and complex than anything we've ever [37:01] encountered before. You also told me [37:04] that the signal can be trapped. [37:07] Britenium seems to stabilize the signal [37:10] when it passes through the crystal [37:11] structure like a beam of light suspended [37:13] by a prism. The two things are clearly [37:16] linked. That much I can figure out even [37:18] without you. Now there is talk about [37:20] aborting the mission. And I feel like I [37:22] may be the only one who realizes how [37:24] close we are to uncovering something [37:26] truly momentous. I so very much miss the [37:29] correspondence we had. I know you would [37:32] have understood. Yours truly, Yseph [37:34] Rutsenko. [37:36] Damn. Take this with you. Start [ __ ] [37:38] beating [ __ ] [37:40] Oh, no smoking in here, bro. That's what [37:41] killed you. [37:45] Geology rocks. [37:49] I don't like that it made a noise when I [37:51] did that. Can I put the other tape in [37:53] here? Surely not. [37:58] No. [38:00] This is the orange cassette. That's a [38:01] red door. [38:06] Okay, shut up. Where is it? No, it's [38:08] this. [38:11] No, it's this. Shh. [38:14] Unread order available in terminal [38:17] again. [38:24] Nothing here. Oh, need a communication [38:26] cassette. [38:31] This is such a cool way of doing it. [38:33] Like you put the cassette in to download [38:35] it onto the tape, then bring it over [38:37] here to read it. [38:39] I love it. Maria here. We at Surface [38:43] Control had our first moment of joy [38:45] since the Matroska incident when you [38:47] completed the course correction. [38:50] Matrioska incident. Is that a real thing [38:53] that happened? An ongoing state aligned [38:55] Russian influence and disinformation [38:56] campaign. I don't think that's the same [38:58] one we're talking about. Thank you for [39:01] keeping our hopes alive. Now for the bad [39:03] news. Our systems have lost track of the [39:05] signal again. You'd think something that [39:07] has caused so much havoc up here would [39:09] be easier to find. I'm aware that Dr. [39:12] Rutsenko is the one responsible for [39:14] interpreting the signal data. Well, he [39:16] [ __ ] dead. [39:18] But it's been a disturbingly long time [39:20] since we received any data at all from [39:22] his lab. Cuz he [ __ ] dead. I refuse [39:25] to accept the worst. You have to accept [39:27] it. He dead. But you need to make a new [39:30] recording. Uh, even if Reno is unable to [39:33] do so himself, otherwise you'll be [39:35] digging blindly for tomorrow. Yeah, for [39:39] tomorrow and all that. [ __ ] you guys. [39:41] I'm not getting paid enough. And this [39:42] sucks. [39:46] Hey, now I have two fuses. [39:51] Um, [39:53] maybe both of these. [39:56] Now we have two. [40:02] 67 67 [40:06] Okay. Stuff chill here. [40:08] What is this saying? No active waypoint [40:11] set. Retrieve waypoint data from the [40:12] lab. Yeah, I'm on my way. I'm on my [40:15] goddamn way. I'm the only one left. [40:18] Give me a [ __ ] second, will you? [40:22] Cripe. Okay, we need navigation [40:26] cassette. We need to figure out what [40:28] hour [40:33] I found a way point acquired. Object [40:34] coordinates from the lab. I'm trying. [40:36] Why can't I pull this? [40:38] Hello. [40:42] What's this saying? Navigation locked. [40:44] No way. Point data found. Insert a [40:46] neural cassette with a laboratory [40:48] recording. Oh, [40:50] yeah. I have to go into the lab. It did [40:53] say that. [40:56] I was getting ahead of myself. [41:03] Boss, let me in. [41:10] I don't know. Green or glowing energy [41:12] crystal. I wouldn't pick up with my [41:14] [ __ ] bare hands. [41:19] This is my light, Victor. At least what [41:21] remains of it. Oh my god, it's the [41:22] signal talking to me. Follow it and I [41:24] will lead you through the darkness. [41:29] Holy [ __ ] [41:35] Okay, I've got the signal inscribed on [41:37] my eyeballs now. [41:40] Signal handling procedure. Convert [41:41] signal data into a usable waypoint. [41:44] Signal data destabilizes vessel systems [41:46] on contact. Approved method. Tune radio [41:49] transmitter to correct signal frequency. [41:51] Record the signal onto a cassette. [41:53] Insert cassette into navigation system [41:55] to process coordinates. Important. [41:57] Standard strata cassettes will fail [41:59] under signal load. Use instead neural [42:01] storage cassettes designed to carry [42:03] unstable cognitive data compatible with [42:06] signal structure. Okay. Tune radio [42:09] transmitter to correct signal frequency. [42:17] How do I know when I'm there? Hold on. [42:21] Does that go in here? [42:24] untuned. [42:28] Okay. [42:31] Am I picking up those voices? [42:34] I don't know what I'm doing. [42:38] It stops though. [42:41] Is there a way of knowing better of what [42:43] I'm doing? Oh [ __ ] Okay. [42:46] Wired raw reader circuit to screen. [42:49] Place crystal and circle circuit to [42:51] activate. Hanium crystal seems to trap [42:53] frequency. Gotcha. Signal exposure [42:56] leaves imprint on retina. Oh, maybe I [42:58] have to imprint it on my retina and then [43:00] start tuning. [43:03] Need room to be dark. [43:08] Whoa, that's so [ __ ] cool. [43:21] Is this good? [43:25] I'm going blind. [43:32] Is that supposed to line up with that? I [43:33] I don't know what I'm doing. [43:37] Oh [ __ ] [43:41] Okay. 17120. [43:44] Ah, [43:46] that's cool. [43:50] Okay, [43:52] so 17. [44:03] [ __ ] yeah. [44:06] That's so sick. [44:09] Okay, what was next? [44:11] Record the signal onto cassette. Inset [44:13] into navigation system to process [44:15] coordinates. Okay, thank you. [44:19] The idea that someone has to sit here [44:21] with a [ __ ] wacky crystal imprinted [44:24] onto their retinas and then put it on [44:27] the [ __ ] board. [44:29] That's pretty sick. [44:34] Okay, so do you go in there? [44:41] I don't know what I'm looking for. [44:50] Incompatible files. Commit will be [44:53] reverted. Okay. [44:56] Reading cassette write permissions [44:58] granted. Opening up register listing [45:00] readable files. How the [ __ ] am I [45:02] supposed to know? System requires three [45:05] vectors of file type XYZ. Okay. XYZ [45:09] XYZ [45:10] XYZ Okay, maybe that wasn't as hard as I [45:14] thought it would be. [45:20] Are we in [ __ ] space? [45:23] This is off course. Course correction [45:25] required. [45:26] Okay, you got it. You got it. Can Now, [45:29] can I do this stuff? Uh, navigation [45:32] cassette. [45:35] Boom. [45:37] Seismic data encoded. Take out cassette. [45:41] Do I have to put it back in here? [45:46] Uh, yes. Cuz I need to decode it. [45:52] Decrypt it. [45:57] What kind of ground per centimeter cubed [45:58] are we working with? 2.71. [46:01] Okay. Do I need to put this one back in? [46:06] No action needed. Okay. Waypoint up to [46:08] date. Uh 2.71, [46:14] which would lead to [46:17] Oh, [46:20] 62 to 54. [46:24] Should I just put it in the middle? [46:32] I don't think that's good. Am I supposed [46:33] to do some [ __ ] math? [46:36] 2.71. So, we're between 2.6 and 3, which [46:41] is between 62 and 54. [46:46] Oh, maybe it's 60 then. [46:50] Oh, this is moving. [46:53] There you go. And our coordinates are [46:56] going to be [47:00] Give us a little more clearance. [47:04] 85 and 37. [47:11] [ __ ] yeah. That's so cool. [47:18] I really enjoy this system. Lock that [47:20] bad boy in. Autopilot that [ __ ] I [47:23] locked onto the signal, [ __ ] [47:28] Now what? Now I die. Someone kills me. [47:32] Oh, got to pick up my sweet 16 phone. [47:37] Oh, it's October now. [47:42] Oh, don't you hate when you pick up the [47:43] phone and you get memories? [47:49] Who am I [ __ ] calling? [47:58] Oh, I can back out. [48:01] Uh [48:03] 82736409. [48:09] Pedro Kaminski. Whoa, [48:13] that is a terrifying face. [48:18] 1979. [48:22] Central Hospital 12. [48:25] Vosto payment to [48:28] Okay. [48:30] Neuro cassette ID 51. [48:34] Vosto makes no medical claims. [48:35] Interpretation and meaning are left to [48:37] those who received the cassette. That's [48:39] I don't understand this. A sun that [48:42] never sets. Payment due 30 days from [48:45] issue. [48:46] Service for a neural cassette. Hospital [48:48] site deployment. Inscription procedure [48:50] and preparation and custodial packaging. [48:54] Do we get cassette brains? 8273649. [49:02] How do I [49:07] Oh [ __ ] Oh. [49:10] Ah. My eyeballs are getting wet. [49:14] How do I reset this? [49:17] I can't [49:22] hang it up. [49:29] Hello. [49:34] Help. Coin goes in. [49:37] 82736409. [49:51] >> You've reached Vast continuity services. [49:56] Thank you for taking this step. [50:00] >> Before we proceed, please remember [50:04] preservation is not an act of denial. It [50:07] is an act of care. I didn't know we [52:13] were six. I mean, obviously the person [52:14] on the phone isn't six, but I wasn't [52:18] connecting things. Uh, please enter the [52:20] hospital identification number where the [52:22] person is currently located. [52:25] Oh, wait. That's probably on this, [52:26] right? [52:30] No. Well, hospital 12. [52:40] Yeah. Is it 12? [52:45] Thank you. The information is correct. [52:46] Okay. I'm thinking way too hard about [52:50] this. It's really straightforward. You [52:51] previously stated that the person's last [52:53] confirmed happy memory occurred on their [52:55] birthday 1979. [53:00] Day, month, and year. [53:04] Okay. [53:07] Um, [53:08] so 0201 [53:11] 1979 [53:15] or is it just 79? [53:18] Okay, the date is correct. [53:21] Verification is complete. All required [53:22] details have been confirmed. Cassette [55:44] retrieval instructions will be issued [55:46] within the state. [56:01] So on the phone apparently. [56:03] Damn. [56:05] I'm truly sorry you had to go through [56:06] that again. [56:10] [ __ ] dude. [56:15] Can I call this number? [56:18] Attention vessels off course. Course [56:19] correction required. It's always [ __ ] [56:21] required. 80164188 [56:28] 64188. [56:36] >> You You have reached the Strata [56:38] emergency service. [56:40] >> Please state the nature of your [56:42] emergency as well as your drilling [56:43] vessels. [56:49] Uh, not good. [56:55] Okay, [56:57] cool. Very helpful for me. Thank you. [57:02] All right. Do I have to get coordinates [57:04] the same way again with the new world [57:06] cassette and everything? [57:08] Oh, yeah, I do. That's so sick. [57:12] Close the door. Where's the projector [57:15] doing that? Oh, cool. [57:19] Okay. Do I still have the crystal? Oh, [57:27] burn that [ __ ] onto daddy's retinas. [57:33] Oh, 17120. Still [57:39] uh neural cassette. [57:45] Ah, no. Grab that one. [57:54] Tuned. [58:00] Um, and let's do the seismic cassette [58:03] first. Actually, no, we don't need to [58:06] cuz it doesn't matter which order you do [58:07] them in. [58:12] Waypoint up to date. Geological Waypoint [58:14] data already uploaded system. [58:17] Oh, [58:19] okay. Do I have to do any of this? [58:23] Is it all the same as before? [58:31] I think I might have just had to sit [58:32] down and input the coordinates again. [58:34] But we'll do all this just in case. Just [58:37] in case. Set. [58:39] 3.45. No, it's different. [58:44] Okay. Um. [58:47] Oh, I thought there was no path. [58:53] Like having it like right in the middle. [58:55] Uh 3.45, [58:57] which is [59:00] just above 46 [59:03] or just below 46. [59:07] So like 45. [59:14] Oh, wait. Is Or is it the other way? [59:18] Oh, [59:20] never mind. That was right. Uh 18 and [59:24] 68. [59:30] [ __ ] yeah. It It's so cool. It makes you [59:32] feel so smart. [59:37] Okay, now I feel dumb. Jibus, [59:40] what happened? [59:43] Engine failure detected. Immediate [59:44] repair required. Okay, I have to get to [59:46] the engine room. [59:48] How do I get into the engine? [59:53] Oh, what now? I don't want to cry over [59:56] my child. [59:58] >> Can you read me, Stean? [60:02] >> Bodhan, here. Please answer. [60:05] >> Victor. Victor, [60:08] >> of course it's you. [60:11] >> Don't say a word. Just shut up. [60:16] >> I told him from the start. I said it [60:19] during the prep. [60:21] >> I said it to Stan's face. [60:25] >> If we bring you with us, then the [60:27] mission is doomed. [ __ ] rude. [60:30] >> You're poison, Victor. [60:33] >> That's what you are. [60:36] You sit up there in that cockpit [60:37] pretending you're in control while the [60:40] rest of us burn in [ __ ] hell down [60:42] here. [60:44] >> Katnia is waiting for me. Lilia and Vera [60:48] are waiting for me. I have everything to [60:50] lose. [60:52] >> All you have is that [ __ ] cassette [60:54] full of fake memories. [60:57] >> Taking the engines apart. We're stopping [60:58] here. [61:01] This mission is over. [61:04] Don't come down here. Don't even [ __ ] [61:06] think about trying to stop me [61:09] >> or I'll put a screwdriver through your [61:11] skull. [61:13] >> Just stay up there. Dig your own grave [61:15] for all I care. [61:18] >> Seemed good at that. [61:22] Guess who's coming in. [61:26] Oh, and you laid out flowers for me. How [61:28] beautiful. That's so nice. Thank you. [61:33] I'm here to [ __ ] up the mission. [61:37] Okay, I have a new fuse. Can I put that [61:39] in the engine? [61:44] Yeah, buddy. Three fuses. It's already [61:47] set to three. [61:50] 67. 67. [61:55] Right. Engine failure man. Oh, manual [61:57] repair required. [61:59] It's cool that [62:02] again it's a little like [62:05] mouthwashing in that regard. Like you're [62:07] piecing together what actually happened [62:10] as you're going. [62:18] Oh, [62:19] look at all these pipes. [62:22] So sexy. I love I told you guys before [62:25] at the backs of buildings, I love taking [62:27] pictures of them to see like this the [62:29] fire escape stairs and the pipes and the [62:32] wiring and the dishes and the air [62:34] conditioners and everything out the [62:36] back. I just love [62:38] I just love that aesthetic. I don't know [62:40] what it is about it. [62:42] It's like the inner workings of things. [62:44] Like this is the real thing that's [62:45] keeping everything alive and running and [62:47] going and not the cleaned up front that [62:52] you normally see. [62:55] Should get purple cassette down here, [62:56] right? [62:59] Oh, I should get big wrench. [63:02] I have to bash someone's face in [63:06] break that [ __ ] [63:09] I have an engine key. Can that work? [63:12] Uh, 2nd of November. Fix an issue with [63:14] the engine's filters. Right. One breaks [63:17] and under too much strain. Spoke to the [63:18] pilot about it. Weird [ __ ] That me. [63:21] Right engine filter keeps breaking. [63:23] Keeping an inventory on hand here in the [63:25] shed for now. Guesta dug up the first [63:28] junk they could find for this mission. [63:30] Desperate times and all that. Idiots. [63:32] Piece of [ __ ] Filter broke again. Down [63:34] to one spare now. I'll have to It'll [63:36] have to do. Keep having nightmares. [63:39] Always about Lilia and Vera. missed him [63:41] so goddamn much. So, is this like a [63:44] thing that's actually happening? Is the [63:45] signal actually making this happen or [63:47] are we getting like cabin fever for [63:48] being down here? Also, what's the guy's [63:50] plan? I'm going to stop the engines and [63:52] we're not going anywhere anymore. So, [63:54] we'll just stand out here and die. 7th [63:57] of November, so 5 days after. This [64:00] mission was one big mistake from the [64:01] start. Things go missing. Everyone acts [64:03] like lunatics. The pilot most of all, I [64:05] bet my life he is risking this entire [64:07] mission with that insane cassette of [64:09] his. If Adamo is too much of an idiot to [64:12] steer this ship straight, then I'll do [64:14] it myself. Oh, Adamo is the pilot. [64:17] Sorry, I I'm all over the place. I I [64:21] should do a video on my Spedicy channel [64:23] talking about what happened to me in the [64:25] last couple of months because I am [64:27] coming down off like 3 weeks of [64:29] migraines. So, my brain isn't [64:32] fully on and I was even like, should I [64:34] record today or not? But I I really like [64:36] the look of this game, so I just [64:40] decided I want to do it, but maybe I'm [64:43] not ready cuz all the information that's [64:44] going in is not really sticking. My My [64:47] brain's not sticky at the moment. Can I [64:49] have your purple suit? Purple guy. [64:54] Okay, [64:56] that seems important. [64:58] Hey, if you pick it up, I'll bring it [65:00] with me. I just don't know where it goes [65:01] yet. [65:04] Let's find out, shall we? [65:09] Oh brother. [65:13] Everyone's goddamn dead. You got [65:16] eviscerated. [65:20] [ __ ] me, man. [65:23] Do this [ __ ] all on my own. [65:28] Are we going to find out that I'm the [65:29] reason they're all dead? [65:32] Like, you'll say, "Oh, there's a monster [65:33] on board." But I actually just went [65:34] crazy and killed everyone. [65:39] you fuse. Oh, [65:45] Jesus. [65:48] Okay, so those fuses bad. I need another [65:50] new one. [65:53] Can I take one out from my lights up [65:55] above or do I have to find a new one [65:57] down here? [66:08] This is a cool game so far. [66:11] I really like it. Air flow's off, [66:14] coolant's off, fuel pumps are off. [66:17] Well, that's not what you want to see, [66:18] is it? [66:21] And I like this. I like how tactile [66:23] everything is. I like using all the [66:24] tools [66:26] and keeping them with me and [66:29] piecing stuff together myself. [66:33] It's very fun. [66:40] Okay. Nice. Fan should be on now. Hell [66:43] yeah. [66:46] All right. [66:50] Oh, I thought there was a gap. [66:52] What else can I fix from my dismal [66:54] circumstances? [67:00] Can I go that way? Excuse me. Excuse me. [67:04] Coolant and fuel pumps. Oh, everything. [67:06] Oh, it's the right engine, I see. [67:12] Um, I might go take a fuse from way up [67:14] top. [67:18] And see if that'll work. [67:22] Hurry. [67:26] Although, I don't know what I I could [67:27] probably use this on some [ __ ] [67:32] I'm going to need to grab some coolant, [67:34] aren't I? [67:37] Wait, let me look around in here now [67:38] that I know. I'm looking for fuses. [67:41] A clock. You think a clock couldn't save [67:43] us? Turn back time. If I could turn back [67:48] time. [67:50] I swear to God if this whole video gets [67:53] claimed because of singing that one [67:54] lyric. Okay, I can't go back out. That's [67:56] good to know. Oh, wait. I can't. [68:00] Don't linger. [68:02] Tell me what to do. [68:05] To remain still is to be buried. [68:09] Maybe for you. Take it out of here. [68:19] Oh, [ __ ] It's me hitting the [68:21] brush. [68:24] I really thought that that was something [68:26] chasing me cuz I turned out the lights. [68:29] Terrifying. [68:33] Whoa, that looked like it got bigger all [68:34] of a sudden. Wait, is that different? [68:37] Why did it seem way longer? [68:43] Okay, I've got a fuse. And I refuse to [68:46] give up. [68:53] For some reason, just holding W doesn't [68:55] work. You have to keep pressing it. [69:00] Okay, [69:02] nice. [69:04] So, that's all that stuff working. [69:08] Righty ho ho. I had to press something [69:11] down there. [69:13] Okay, fuel pumps are working. Now, I [69:15] just need coolant. [69:20] which I thought you would like have a [69:21] key on you or something, [69:24] but you are [ __ ] useless to me. [69:29] Oh. Oh, it's really [ __ ] dark. I [69:32] couldn't see anything. [69:34] Ah okay. [69:43] That good. Repair the engine. Nice. [69:47] Now that's stuck there, so I can't use [69:49] it again. [69:50] Oh, I really thought your body was going [69:52] to be gone. [69:57] Oh god, [70:06] there's still this thing. I don't know [70:08] if I am able to get into that. [70:11] Be careful. It is waking up. [70:17] I don't have [70:19] purple tape, right? [70:23] No, this is a communication cuz Okay, [70:25] I'll be back down here eventually. [70:34] Yeah, this [ __ ] place is changing. [70:41] Oh, [70:44] I'm losing my mind. This whole area is [70:47] different. [70:51] I was like, why did it feel longer the [70:52] first time? Cuz it was. [70:59] Oh Christ. [71:03] Oh, [71:07] I don't like it. I don't like it. I [71:09] don't like it. It's coming. [71:11] It's coming. Get it. [71:14] Get it. [71:18] [ __ ] Oh god. What do I do? What do I [71:21] do? What do I do? Run. Run. Run. [ __ ] [71:25] me. [71:28] Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Oh, hanging [71:30] bodies. Okay. [71:34] Oh Jesus. Oh Jesus. I don't like him to [71:36] think under pressure. Oh, he's close. [71:40] What do I do? What do I do? What do I [71:42] do? Door 311. [71:47] Where is he? Where is he? He's close. [71:53] I don't know where he is. [72:01] 311 is down here somewhere. [72:04] Oh, you ugly [ __ ] [72:08] 307. Oh, it's in the middle of this. [72:11] 309. [72:16] Did I win and die at the same time? Oh, [72:18] what is wrong with you? [72:21] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [72:22] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [72:23] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [72:23] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] [72:23] [ __ ] F. [ __ ] [72:25] Close it. [72:31] I hate this. I hate this. [72:35] Go go go go go go go go go go [72:36] go go go go go go go go go go [72:37] go go. [72:39] Oh, kick it in the face. [72:44] Oh, yeah. Exactly what I wanted you to [72:46] do. Well played. [72:51] Oh, is that the visage of like my dead [72:52] kid or something? [72:55] [ __ ] man. [73:02] Oh why? [73:05] Why more? [73:08] Just let me go. [73:12] It's not real. It's not real. It's not [73:13] real. It's not real. It's not real. It's [73:15] not real. [73:19] Real enough to scare the [ __ ] out of me. [73:23] The [ __ ] in my pants is real. As long as [73:26] you are here, I can hold it off. [73:29] I think it's my conscience talking to [73:30] me. But you can't run from the past [73:32] forever. [73:34] I missed what that one said. [73:37] Holy [ __ ] [73:41] Where's my cassettes? [73:45] Huh? [73:49] Oh, it's here. [73:53] Okay. Jesus, [73:56] that was terrifying. [73:59] Oh, look. Seismic data. Cool. [74:02] Let's go back to normaly after that, [74:04] shall we? Let's Everything's [ __ ] [74:06] fine now. [74:12] 3.45. That was [74:16] same as last time, isn't it? [74:23] God, why is it so dark in here? [74:26] Why can't I move that? [74:30] Hello. [74:34] Okay. Everything else is the same. [74:38] Input coordinates. Adjust the RPM with [74:40] the throttle. I'm trying, but it [74:42] wouldn't let me. Oh, right. [74:57] What was it last time? I can't remember. [74:59] Uh 18 and 68. [75:08] Um [75:10] yeah 45. [75:16] Righty ho. [75:20] Locked on. [75:22] Autopilot engage. [75:25] Now I can relax. What depth are we at? [75:27] It says it somewhere. [75:30] 7423. We're getting there. [75:35] We're pretty damn close. [75:37] Thank you. Oh no. [75:42] I'm back in my house. [75:45] Let's [75:47] go to the top floor. [75:50] Do what it has. [75:55] I don't know if there's a hint somewhere [75:57] as to what floor I'm supposed to be on. [76:05] Yeah, that looks about right. This is [76:08] some Silent Hill 2 looking ass. [76:13] Calamity strikes nation 11th of April [76:15] early morning. The first of an ongoing [76:17] series of earthquakes struck nigured. [76:22] The It's like trying to read the places [76:23] in Metal Gear Solid 3 again. Gajnigrad. [76:27] The events have led to several power [76:28] plants failing and the city center is at [76:31] the time of writing ravaged by countless [76:33] fires. More recent reports also indicate [76:36] that nearly all types of electronics in [76:38] the city have been rendered unusable. [76:41] Authorities have yet to comment on if [76:44] this is a natural phenomenon or some [76:45] kind of coordinated attack. The [76:47] seemingly ever escalating nature of the [76:49] disaster has however already led to some [76:52] dubbing it as the Matroska incident. Uh [76:56] okay. So just earthquakes are causing [76:59] it. Maybe because we're digging into the [77:00] [ __ ] ground and the signal's like, [77:03] "Yeah, you're all about to die." [77:08] Have you lost someone? To lose a loved [77:09] one is the deepest wound a person can [77:12] carry. The world is cruel. We learned [77:14] that far too early. But it does not have [77:16] to end there. Through revolutionary [77:19] neuroarchchival technology, the Vostto [77:21] Initiative offers a final chance to [77:23] preserve what matters most. Using our [77:25] state-of-the-art memory cassettes, a [77:27] human consciousness can be transferred [77:28] moments before biological death. A [77:32] voice, a memory, a presence preserved. [77:35] So you never truly have to say goodbye. [77:37] And perhaps one day you may even speak [77:39] again. [77:41] Oh, did I lose my kid and I put him in a [77:43] cassette? [77:57] Emergency now confidential. If you hear [77:58] a patient who has been confirmed to be [78:00] deceased speak, do not under any [78:03] circumstances listen to what they are [78:04] saying. Oh, that is some SCP [ __ ] [78:13] So quiet. Uh, hospital 12. Ooh, that's [78:16] the one that was on the note. Elena [78:19] Moratova. Patient still without [78:21] appetite. Lucid but under continuous [78:23] distress. Exposure to signal [78:25] paradoxically seems to alleviate some [78:27] symptoms. Reinstate IV 24 hours. Place [78:30] signal recording at 2hour intervals. [78:32] Like the white rabbit signal. [78:34] The day after patient catatonic without [78:36] constant exposure to signal experiences [78:38] sudden bursts of activity, speaks an [78:40] unknown but seemingly coherent language. [78:43] Keep sedated and make sure to never [78:45] handle without proper support staff. [78:48] Arrange for immediate patient transfer [78:50] to specialist hospital. Law enforcement [78:53] notified. [78:54] Damn. [78:57] The family of Daniel Petrova in 282 had [79:01] paid for the vastto procedure but the [79:03] patient died. suddenly last night. So, [79:05] the nurses on staff missed a recording [79:07] window. How do we handle this? What do [79:08] we tell them? Tell them you [ __ ] up [79:10] and get sued. [79:19] That's right there. [79:21] Oh [ __ ] [79:26] What does that mean for Jack Boy? [79:30] Hospital 12, Children's Ward. Yeah. So, [79:33] I'm there. [79:36] What room is it? [79:39] 282. Is that where I should be going? [79:44] This doesn't have a room. [79:49] Oh, that's freaky. [79:51] 282 [79:53] is not on that. [80:00] I guess I could just walk around and [80:02] look. [80:04] Right. It doesn't say room on this. [80:08] Does it? [80:14] I just go for a wander. [80:20] Can I go this way? No, I can't. [80:27] [ __ ] [80:33] Okay cool. [80:35] Scared the [ __ ] out of me. I think I [80:38] actually farted when that just happened. [80:42] Three. [80:46] What the hell are these? [80:49] There's a big three on the floor. [80:51] Nothing there, but there's a room [80:52] number. Is that 311? [80:56] Uh TV. [81:00] Okay. Where's 311? [81:05] There is no 311. [81:07] 319, 320, 312, and 13, 39, and 310. But [81:11] there's no 311. [81:15] Uhoh. [81:22] Maybe I'll see it. [81:27] Oh god, it's dark. [81:29] I'm going to follow the lights. [81:33] There goes my boy. [81:37] As beautiful as the day he died. Oh, is [81:40] this Saturn eating its kid? That's the [81:43] name of it, right? Is this [81:47] or is it Jupiter eats its kid? [81:50] Can't remember. [81:52] Oh, look at these. A bunch of white men [81:55] who are the problem. [82:00] Oh lovely. [82:02] Earthquakes and burning. [82:05] Burning man. [82:10] Oh, man. I'm losing it. [82:15] I don't like when I'm losing it. [82:22] Okay. [82:26] Oh, [82:28] I don't know. The rest of them I can do [82:30] anything with. [82:41] Oh, here's the TV. [82:45] The hell are these drawings? [83:04] Oh [ __ ] Oh [ __ ] Daddy. [83:10] Oh god. [83:13] Oh god. Son. [83:16] Oh my god. It's following me. [83:24] Okay. So 3 something 7 317. [83:33] Can't do that. [83:35] That's creepy. [83:39] There's no Oh, there is a 307. [83:44] It's on the opposite side. [83:48] Get away from my child. [83:51] When your child is freaking you out, [83:53] it's okay to be scared of them and run [83:54] away. [83:58] Okay, never mind. I thought I had [84:01] solutions to things. [84:09] I [ __ ] hate it. Wait, let's go back. [84:12] See if it says numbers now on the [84:14] screens. [84:22] Oh, I had to come back here. [84:25] 317 was the room they were in. So, [84:29] did he not want to be a dad or he was [84:31] scared of being a dad or something [84:32] [ __ ] up? And then the mom came in here [84:34] and had the baby and the place burned [84:35] down and I'm seeing like my burnt child. [84:39] Hey, what's up? [84:43] No, that's fine. Yeah. Ding ding. [84:46] Yeah, you're at reception. [84:48] Let me out. [84:52] Oh thanks. [84:56] [ __ ] out of here. [85:00] Wait, is there someone in that on the [85:01] screens? [85:04] Oh, that's cool. [85:07] Oh, I wish I picked up on that sooner. [85:12] I love that. [85:14] Okay. 317 should be [85:19] over [85:21] here, [85:24] right? [85:27] This way. [85:36] Is this where it all went down? [85:42] Oh, my beautiful boy. [85:48] My god. [85:51] Instead, you set him free. [85:54] I killed him. [86:03] Did I turn off the machines? [86:15] Respiratory unit off. [86:25] Please don't tell me that that was a [86:27] sequence I was supposed to get and trial [86:28] and error and I just did it immediately. [86:31] There's no way. I I don't believe that. [86:34] Absolutely no way. And the cardiac [86:36] support. [86:38] Where is that? [86:44] Oh, [86:51] he's not truly gone. Victor, [86:54] take the cassette, hold them in your [86:56] arms, and you will know. [87:00] That's so [ __ ] [87:03] Impressive [87:08] that such a small vessel can contain [87:10] something as infinite as a soul. My [87:13] child's soul is not on that. But a body [87:16] should not have to live. [87:18] This may have been all they could give [87:20] you. [87:24] But I have no such limits. [87:27] Keep following the signal, Victor. That [87:29] is how you will find me. [87:32] Oh [ __ ] I didn't read that. This [87:34] cassette is the key. You brought it with [87:36] you on this mission for a reason. [87:40] Pro is still with you on your vessel. [87:45] You just have to remember who stole him [87:47] from you. [87:50] God damn, that's heavy. [87:56] Oh, everything's on fire. Set your son [87:59] free. [88:08] Shut it. [88:12] Express Telegram from Stean Adamo to me. [88:15] You have to go home right now. All [88:17] landlines, electronics out of order. [88:18] Fires throughout the city. Can't tell [88:21] you confidential details. We have made a [88:22] mistake. I fear we cannot undo. [88:27] Oh, and the doll is here. [88:30] I I think it's this angel that's [88:32] speaking to me. [88:43] That's cool though. [88:45] What a cool premise for a game. [88:52] I should be able to go in here now, [88:54] right? [89:02] What's going on in here? [89:06] I saw a big machine digging deep into [89:08] the ground. It was loud and strong and [89:11] didn't stop. I watched it for a long [89:13] time. Dad said people use machines like [89:16] that to go deeper and deeper. [89:20] Me and dad fought against fire breathing [89:21] dragons together. We won, but they [89:23] burned Dad really badly. Afterwards, I [89:25] found a bucket with some water to pour [89:26] over his head to make him feel better. [89:29] He laughed, so it must have worked. [89:32] What the [ __ ] [89:37] Oh, this is the pro cassette. Was I [89:40] listening to my boy's brain? [89:46] Was I the dad? [89:48] We ate pancakes together. They were [89:50] really good. Now I'm waiting to open my [89:52] presents. I want a mole. [89:55] Oh god. This is my child. This is him [89:59] brain. [90:00] My child him brain. Him brain and tape. [90:05] I can't look at this. [90:08] Please be safe down there. This is the [90:10] last time you promised. [90:12] This is the last time you promised. [90:17] Look at that lady with a baby. [90:22] engineer. [90:24] >> Okay. Well, [90:27] come along, son. [90:29] Daddy will show you the world. [90:33] I have a [ __ ] message. [90:38] My dear friend, let me tell you [90:39] something. I Oh, that's I've read that [90:42] before. [90:46] Wait, where was the communication place [90:48] again? Down here. [90:51] Uh, communication cassette. [90:56] Damn, [91:00] this game took a hecking turn. [91:05] Uh, I'm sorry to say it, but this [91:07] mission is a disaster. It's been several [91:09] days now since any contact from you, and [91:11] now you've hit a dead end. Navigating [91:13] through the layers below you is far too [91:16] precise for our instruments. We can't [91:18] risk another Matroska incident. But you [91:21] fail to realize that I am the greatest [91:23] navigator that has ever existed. I will [91:26] find my way through. My boy will help [91:29] me. He's up there somewhere. Come on, [91:32] son. Use your ghostly powers to guide me [91:36] through the layers of the earth. We are [91:38] terminating your autopilot systems in [91:40] order to save power while we are [91:41] discussing extraction. What do you mean [91:43] save power? Am I plugged into the [91:45] planet? I assure you, no one wants this, [91:48] especially when you're so close to the [91:50] M12 vessel. But sometimes you just have [91:53] to accept reality. Don't listen to their [91:56] apathy. Even if you tried to explain [91:58] what truly is at stake here for you now, [92:01] would they understand? Would they care? [92:05] You are so close, Victor. It's going [92:07] back and forth. If I could bring back [92:10] pro right now for you, I would. But I am [92:13] bound to this place and my reach is [92:15] frustratingly limited. But there are no [92:17] such limitations upon you. I know you [92:20] will find a way. You just have to get [92:22] back into that cockpit. [92:25] Oh, [ __ ] Yeah, this game rules. [92:28] That's so cool. [92:31] All right, this place [92:34] has nothing right now, but I don't think [92:36] it needs it. [92:40] Okay so [92:43] I need to go back into Lab Daddy. [92:48] And I need to get new coordinates. [92:52] The crystal shall guide the way. My [92:55] eyes, they have seen further than your [92:57] stupid brain has ever. [93:00] Okay, still 1721. [93:05] Perilous terrain ahead. Deploy torpedo [93:07] from the engine hall to resume drilling. [93:12] Torpedo. [93:17] I don't want to go back into the engine [93:18] hall. The scars of my past were chasing [93:22] me. [93:24] I want to go home. You and me both, son. [93:27] All right. Now I can go in here. [93:36] Torpedo [93:39] fire not ready. Chamber unloaded. Insert [93:42] a torpedo into the firing tube. Place [93:44] primer over tube and [ __ ] it. I'll [ __ ] [93:47] it. All right. I'll [ __ ] it all up. [93:51] Okay. So, this [93:58] I hold it down and then boom. [94:02] Okay. What am I doing? [94:07] So, that's priming the thing [94:14] and then releasing the torpedo. [94:18] I see. Now, if a guy was to find a [94:20] torpedo, where would he find them? [94:23] Ah, [94:25] is that the key to the thing I always [94:26] thought? [94:28] Guide me, son. Guide me with your [94:30] flowers. [94:32] >> Yes. [94:37] >> Torpedo time. [94:40] This is going to be so [ __ ] sick. I'm [94:43] going to blast the earth in half. [ __ ] [94:45] everybody on the surface. It's my misery [94:48] that matters most. [94:51] Okay. And now down you go. And over you [94:55] go. Fire ready. [95:02] Okay. Should I All right, I have that [95:04] primed. And now [95:17] did that do it? [95:21] Are we good? [95:27] Was [95:29] Was that it? Or do I have to do more? [95:37] It's letting me do more. So, I'm going [95:39] to do more. [95:41] Bet your [ __ ] ass I'm going to do [95:43] more. [95:45] Look at all the torpedoes I have. Oh, [95:47] it's torpedo time. [95:49] I want to go home. Let me just blast [95:51] through the Earth's surfaces and crust. [95:55] Like how far down does the Earth's crust [95:57] go? Cuz it's a lot further than we [95:58] think, isn't it? Or that some people [96:01] think. [96:04] Detonate with clacker. [96:11] There it goes. There it goes. [96:16] Oh, I see. [96:22] Okay, I [ __ ] it up. I I didn't realize [96:24] that I had to detonate again. That's [96:26] exactly what it was saying. Okay. [96:29] Whoopsies. Well, I'm glad that I [ __ ] [96:31] it up cuz it means I get to torpedo time [96:34] even more. [96:38] Like, this is so fun. I am having a [96:41] great time. [96:44] I love torpedo time. It's the best time [96:46] of the day. [96:48] Bet you haven't torpedoed today. Uh, no. [96:51] [ __ ] yourself doesn't count. [96:58] Okay, here we go. [97:02] And then, [97:07] yeah, [ __ ] that surface right up. Hit [97:10] the target with a torpedo. [97:14] Yes sir. [97:20] What now? [97:25] Victor. [97:26] >> Yeah. [97:40] How, bro? We're 7,000 m down. [98:05] Don't let them tempt you into surrender. [98:09] Since when has anything worthwhile ever [98:10] been easy? Amen. [98:13] They will never truly trust you, Victor. [98:17] But I do. [98:21] Get into the cockpit. Listen to your [98:23] instincts. [ __ ] yeah. [98:27] Look, this thing is bringing me to my [98:30] doom. I don't trust it whatsoever, but [98:33] it's really cool. I want to know what [98:35] the [ __ ] Eldrich Truth down below the [98:37] Earth's crust is going to tell me. Um, [98:41] righty. I need my navigation cassette. [98:47] Seismic data found. Ready to record. [98:49] Pull. [98:51] Yeah. Hello. [98:56] Why can't I [98:58] Why is it not working? [99:04] Oh, it's different. Okay. [99:11] Oh god. [99:13] Uh 14980. [99:19] Uh way over. [99:31] Oh, hold on. [99:38] Bingo. [99:41] Hell yeah. This is so fun to do. [99:47] Geological Waypoint data already [99:48] uploaded system. No action needed. What [99:51] do you mean? It was different. [100:04] Okay. [100:11] No data encoded. Oh [ __ ] Insert [100:14] employee ID. [100:18] Oh, I'm [ __ ] I should have just read [100:20] this. Terrain ahead unscannable. [100:22] Automation disabled. Manual piloting [100:24] needs to be engaged. Enter fourdigit [100:26] employee ID from your issued c issued [100:30] dorm cassette. Y equals the first two [100:33] digits and X is the last two digits. [100:35] What is my ID cassette? 04. [100:43] 04 03. [100:45] That's not it. [100:50] And away we go. [100:53] Wait, do I still have to? No. [100:57] Okay. Enter your four-digit employee ID [101:00] from your issued dorm cassette. I need [101:02] to go back up to the dorms to look. What [101:04] is my ID? I'm [101:13] Oh 6359. [101:16] I think I might need the other dudes [101:18] though right? [101:20] Bodans or Steppans? [101:26] I don't have a right cassette yet. [101:31] What was it? Jesus, I forgot already. [101:34] 6359. Let's see if that works. [101:44] Ah, [101:46] no waypoint data. I mean, that's the [101:48] whole point, isn't it? Enter waypoint [101:50] data from the lab into the terminal. I [101:53] thought I did that. You said I didn't [101:55] need to. [102:00] Okay, we need XYZ's again. [102:05] Oh, [102:07] commit that [ __ ] [102:13] Nice. [102:15] Do I still need to do the other stuff? [102:16] Okay, now I can start doing the other [102:18] stuff. [102:25] Okay, seismic data encoded. [102:29] Decrypt. [102:32] It's so fun. I love all the clicky [102:34] clacky and the insertion of things and [102:37] it's just oh, it's so cool. [102:40] Okay, 3.10 is [102:44] um [102:47] like 50 [102:50] maybe maybe a little more. [102:56] Nope, it's 50. [102:59] Um okay, where are we going? [103:02] 43. [103:04] Oh, there's two ways to go. [103:07] Let's do this one. I like this one. 43 [103:09] and 19. [103:16] Oh, hell yeah. [103:22] To figure this out on my own like the [103:25] [ __ ] legend that I am. [103:28] Whoa. Whoa. It's Oh, I just need to [103:32] follow it. [103:34] Cool. [103:37] So, autopilot's been following this all [103:39] this time. [103:48] What? [103:49] I have to do more. What the [ __ ] [103:55] God damn. [103:59] So, the seismic data changed. [104:05] Did I make it deep? 7423. I don't know [104:07] if that's [ __ ] moved. [104:20] Three. I was having fun just chasing [104:21] that thing. Why'd you have to stop me? [104:24] Three flat 54. Nice. So, we haven't had [104:27] just a really easy one in a while. [104:33] Is that right? RPM outdated. New target [104:36] value 45 RPM. [104:40] Oh, [104:43] that's not what that told me. [104:46] Oh, I just had to change the RPM. Oh, [104:50] well then [104:57] come here, sucker. [105:00] I've got you in my sights. [105:05] High magma concentration detected. Hold [105:07] cannot withstand temperature over [105:08] prolonged time. Override emergency stop [105:10] with the ignition key. Where? [105:16] Huh? [105:20] In the engine room. What? The vessel is [105:22] off course. Check diagnostics in the [105:24] cockpit located on the deck. [105:30] Oh, I just need to do that again. Time [105:32] until hole failure. Oh, [105:35] that was confusing. [105:38] And I need to be up at 60 RPM. [105:47] Yeah. Yeah. Magma, magma. Whatever. I'm [105:50] trying my best here. [105:53] It's difficult. The whole [ __ ] place [105:55] is shaking. [105:57] Input coordinates. [105:59] Christ. No data encoded. [106:08] Or is that that's different than this? [106:13] The dad has the other one. [106:24] Oh, never mind. [106:30] Uh 66 and 26. [106:38] Okay. Jesus. And what's my new RPM? 3.7, [106:43] which is about 38. [106:50] I got him. I got him. [106:56] Okay, we are locked on. Don't you [ __ ] [106:59] anything else up on me. I'll [ __ ] [107:01] kill you. When I find the signal, I'm [107:04] choking it to death. [107:07] I don't care. Unless the screen says [107:10] something, I don't care. Input [107:12] coordinates. [ __ ] me. [107:17] Do I have to do this every time for [107:18] that? [107:23] I do. Yeah. Okay. [107:29] No data encoded. What? [107:34] Is this now the other one? [107:43] Maybe I just didn't leave it in long [107:44] enough. [107:48] I'm trying. I'm trying. Why is this [107:50] taking forever? Restart terminal. [107:54] For [ __ ] sake. This is so stressful. [108:00] Go go go. [108:05] Come on. Come on. 2.6. [108:10] Okay. 2.6. And uh [108:15] 2.6. 2.6. [108:18] 2183. [108:26] Uh 2.6 Six is 62. [108:35] Where is that sucker? [108:38] Okay, there's still 10 minutes until [108:40] stuff breaks. This is the safe zone. Oh [108:42] my god, I have to travel so [ __ ] far [108:44] still. [108:47] I'm not even halfway. [108:50] Oh god. [108:58] Okay, this is good. This is a prolonged [108:59] one. [109:06] 54. [109:13] Is that right? Yeah. [109:16] Okay, keep going. Those quick fixes are [109:18] nice when I have to take the [ __ ] [109:19] disc out and re-encode it and [109:21] everything. That's what's so annoying. [109:23] It's okay. I have 10 minutes. It feels [109:26] like the world is on my shoulders and [109:28] time is running out, but I have 10 [109:30] minutes. 10 minutes is all I can spare [109:33] to play with you. [109:35] Okay, good. This is good. [109:39] No way data. [109:44] Oh, that's this other one, isn't it? [109:51] Uh, crystal. Crystal. [109:57] Okay, it's in the upper right this time, [110:01] which is 21890. [110:06] Uh, [110:09] Jesus. [110:12] Oh, 21's all the way up there. [110:17] uh targeting cassette. [110:23] Did you just break? [110:28] Let him guide you. My son, my boy. [110:37] Did I just overwrite my child? [110:42] Come on, Pro. You can do it, son. [110:48] Uh, XYZ XYZ. [110:52] Come on, Pro. You can do it. That's my [110:55] boy. [110:57] Okay. RPM 33. Okay. [111:03] Good. [111:05] X50 Y50. Okay. Good, son. Good. [111:11] Good, son. That's good. [111:14] That's my boy. [111:19] He's going to teach me. I don't have to [111:20] use cassettes anymore. I've got the [111:23] power of my child's soul infused into [111:26] the machinery. [111:29] I'm sure nothing bad will happen. I'm [111:32] sure I'll get down here and I'll find [111:33] the signal and nothing bad will happen [111:35] at all. [111:38] Everything will be fine. [111:40] Okay, we have 7 minutes. [111:46] Oh no, my glasses. Am I going to have to [111:48] do all of this [ __ ] blind now? Oh [111:50] Christ. [111:53] What? [111:58] Where's things? [112:06] Oh my god. I can't see anything. There's [112:07] nothing here. [112:12] in here. [112:19] Maybe I have to do this again. [112:24] Okay, let him guide you. Okay, I don't [112:25] have to do that again. [112:33] Did I have to do that again? [112:38] Oh Jesus. [112:41] Okay, I'm just seeing my son's bicycle [112:43] again. I can't see anything. [112:47] Like, I can't actually see coordinates [112:49] or RPMs or anything. [112:56] It's not written on anything. Oh my god. [112:57] What the [ __ ] happening? What should I [112:58] do? [113:00] Is it just the same again? [113:03] No. [113:08] What do we do? [113:11] Son, do something. [113:18] I don't know if I'm supposed to be doing [113:20] this at all. [113:22] Give me stuff. [113:27] Give me coordinates. Give me anything. [113:33] I don't know where I'm supposed to look. [113:34] [ __ ] this. [113:37] 7:32. [113:40] And the angel spoke. The earth shall [113:41] give up those who are asleep in it. [113:42] There will be no more death or mourning [113:44] or crying in pain. [113:47] Okay. What about this one? And the [113:49] wicked rejected the angel's mercy and [113:50] said they cast an angel deep down below [113:52] the earth and they are bound to an angel [113:53] in a prison of stone. Yeah, it's Satan. [113:57] I'm so sorry. Am I supposed to be seeing [113:58] numbers somewhere? Am I supposed to be [114:00] getting my glasses back? [114:05] Oh [ __ ] [114:10] Oh, [ __ ] Okay. [114:15] I don't know if I'm doing the right [114:17] thing or not. [114:19] Do I need my navigation cassette again? [114:23] Oh, this is some horse [ __ ] right now. [114:27] This is some horse [ __ ] right now. [114:35] Are you [ __ ] serious? Are you [ __ ] [114:38] serious? I didn't know I was supposed to [114:39] take the postit off. [114:42] The last time I just had to look at [114:43] them. My son guided me. The [ __ ] is the [114:47] point of this if my son's not guiding me [114:49] anymore? 220. Okay, [114:53] get in there. 220 is what? I don't know. [114:57] 70. Is that 70? Yes. [115:04] Is that the max? [115:08] Get this [ __ ] off my screen. [115:12] Okay. And then [115:15] ah me and my [ __ ] glasses. I'm such a [115:17] nerd. [115:19] 70 and 51. [115:28] Oh, I only had 50 in. That's not 51. [115:33] How the [ __ ] am I supposed to see this? [115:42] Is that not right? It didn't go color. [115:48] Now it's right. Okay. [115:51] Okay. Oh my god. [115:55] I can barely [ __ ] see this thing. [115:58] Holy god. [116:01] Where you going? [116:04] ET, phone home. [116:06] My son is dead and you will be soon too. [116:09] Oh god. What now? [116:13] Deploy torpedo, [116:17] brother. I can't see. [116:24] Oh, [ __ ] Christ. [116:27] Okay. [116:31] How in God's name am I supposed to do [116:33] this? [116:35] It is cool though cuz it's like, "Hey, [116:36] remember what you did cuz you're going [116:38] to have to do it again." [116:41] Is this not where the torpedoes are? No. [116:44] Here. [116:46] Okay, I got one. Oh, Jesus. Oh, Jesus. [116:50] This is so stressful. [116:55] Okay. Torpedo go. Random [ __ ] Go. [117:01] Okay. [117:06] Okay. I can kind of see it. [117:15] Okay, that's good. [117:19] Clear your menu of piloting with one [117:20] minute to spare. Did I do it? Am I safe? [117:26] Oh Jesus. [117:29] What do I do now? [117:33] Safe distance reach. Clear of hazard. [117:34] Turn off vessel. [117:40] You made it through. [117:43] Now you are close. Very close. Look at [117:47] me. It's time I made you see. Yes, [117:52] dude. I didn't know Lucifer was chill [117:54] like that. [117:56] Now you have to hurry. You must save [117:57] him. Who? My boy. [118:01] Give me back my things. [118:09] Okay. [118:12] Follow the flames. That's Lucifer's [118:15] doing. [118:23] Did I go up? [118:29] Oh, this is all new. [118:38] Oh god. [118:43] Up I go. [118:49] Okay. This is bad. This is bad. Out the [118:51] window. Why [118:55] is this when the building was on fire [118:57] when the child got burned? [119:06] Okay. Can I get through this? [119:09] Oh. [119:18] Son, [119:22] I'm doing my best. Father of the year [119:25] over here. [119:33] Okay, get your [ __ ] together. Get some [119:36] oxygen back. [119:39] Oh, thank God. This fire extinguisher [119:41] has a lot in it. [119:46] Dude, [ __ ] the fire brigade. Just send [119:49] me in. I'm putting out everything. [119:54] Oh Jesus. Oh Jesus, [119:58] man. I really went above and beyond, [119:59] didn't I? Oh god, it's Smokeoky. Stay [120:02] low. [120:04] >> Breathe. Breathe. [120:12] Son, [120:14] I'm coming. A boy, [120:18] don't you worry. Daddy's here. He's [120:20] lost, but he's here. [120:25] Okay. Okay, [120:30] piece by piece, piece by piece, little [120:32] by little. [120:35] I'm putting out the entire fire right [120:37] now. [120:39] Oh no. [120:50] This a fire extinguisher. [120:53] Jump. Jump. Dad. Jump. Think of your [120:56] boy. [121:03] Oh god. Oh god. [121:08] bendy ass legs. [121:13] It didn't matter that you hurried home [121:15] as fast as you could. [121:19] Oh, it's our apartment that burned. [121:23] [ __ ] They called it the Matroska [121:26] incident. Damn, man. [121:30] Stride refused to let the drilling [121:31] missions be a thing of the past. [121:34] Instead, they ventured beyond where your [121:36] kind were ever meant to go [121:40] and awoke things that should have been [121:42] left sleeping. [121:44] But Strat had never paid for their [121:46] mistakes. [121:48] You did. [121:53] You never made it back to him in time. [122:00] That's cool. [122:03] You owe them nothing, Victor. [122:15] That's pretty sick. [122:19] Oh, I can see now. I don't need my [122:20] glasses. [122:28] My music doesn't work anymore, I guess. [122:31] Digit 2 is number three. Okay. Victor, [122:35] your rejection of our offer saddens me. [122:38] This mission will be one of a kind, a [122:39] true revival of the good old days if [122:42] you'll forgive my sentimentality. Still, [122:44] I want you to know that I understand [122:46] your decision. I know your father and [122:47] you never saw eye to eye. And now you [122:50] are a father yourself. It's a heavy [122:52] burden to bear, but I'm certain you will [122:54] handle it with the same care, [122:55] tenderness, and unfailing effort that [122:57] you seem to give to everything in your [122:59] life. I'm proud of you, Stephan Adamo. [123:02] [ __ ] you guys. [123:05] I hope I took this mission to go all the [123:07] way down, if any of this is even real, [123:09] to go all the way down to find Satan [123:12] to pay it back. [123:20] A power up here. [123:27] At least I still have my brainchild. [123:37] Whoever is reading this, wait, what is [123:39] this? M13. I'm so sorry. We finally had [123:42] an update from Stean about the state of [123:45] the mission. About Yseph, about whatever [123:48] monstrosity has made its way into the [123:50] vessel with you. If only we'd known. The [123:53] following information is absolutely [123:54] critical. In Stan's dorm, there is a gun [123:57] case. There's just a single bullet on [124:00] board for the most unthinkable of [124:02] emergencies. [124:03] I hope it can save you now. Make that [124:06] shot count for tomorrow. [124:10] I guess I don't need to bring this with [124:12] me. I can just keep it here [124:16] in Stean's dorm. Which one was his? [124:21] Bodan. [124:23] It's the part. Oh, [124:28] digit three is five. [124:31] So, digit two was three. [124:34] Digit [124:36] was it digit three is five. [124:41] Okay. I need at least one more digit. [124:45] I hate to say I told you so, Stean. You [124:47] were the one who put this crew together. [124:50] You knew some of our selections were, [124:52] shall we say, controversial. [124:54] And above all, you knew what risks those [124:57] selections would bring. Look, I'm not [124:59] trying to be heartless. All I'm saying [125:00] is that this is not one of those [125:02] situations I can bail you out. You need [125:04] to make some tough decisions. Too much [125:06] is writing on this mission. We should [125:08] reserve extraction for a true emergency. [125:10] The symptoms the crew are experiencing [125:12] could very well be because you were [125:14] several kilometers below the surface. It [125:16] doesn't have to be the signal. [125:19] 8 8754 meters down. A new low [125:24] cigars. [125:29] Um, where would I find some more digits? [125:35] Oh, I can't read that. [125:43] Surely there's more digits in these [125:45] rooms. Yes, [125:48] digit one is eight. [125:53] And surely process of elimination will [125:55] get the last one. [126:05] Whoa, that's a chunky gun. [126:16] Did she say there was one bullet? [126:22] Whoa. There was no [ __ ] bullets in [126:24] that. [126:32] Oh shit's gurgling outside now. [126:37] Why is everything shaking? [126:48] Yes, Stean. What is it? [126:55] >> Mission is canceled. They're bringing us [126:57] home. [127:33] Damn. [127:46] Let me out. [127:51] So, did he [127:55] cause all this? [127:57] But somehow I'm alive. I haven't pieced [127:59] it together fully yet. [128:13] The white rabbit. [128:15] The signal that called Alice. [128:18] I forgot all about this. [128:23] Oh, it's freaky looking. It's like a [128:25] cartoon. Whoa. Where you going? [128:29] No. Help me. [128:35] Come back. [128:37] Don't you run away now. Don't run over [128:40] there. I know you want to. Don't. Hey, [128:42] don't do it. [128:47] It'd be nice if we could [ __ ] run [128:49] faster. [128:51] I know there's lots of psychological and [128:53] physical damage going on, but still. [128:54] Come on, Victor. [128:57] Hurry up. [129:01] And deeper Alice went into her own [129:03] madness. [129:07] Except my name's not Alice. I'm going to [129:09] shoot the rabbit. [129:14] Whoa. Cool. [129:19] This is giving really strong [129:20] mouthwashing vibes, [129:24] which is not a I'm not saying that [129:26] derogatorily. [129:28] Both of these are incredible games. Very [129:32] uh high complexity psychological [129:35] stories. [129:38] Oh, hey. Whoa. [129:42] Into the hole we go. [129:48] Put down into the rabbit hole. We're all [129:49] mad here. [129:54] What now? [130:03] Oh Jesus. [130:10] Oh, dark rabbit. [130:13] Cool. [130:14] Shadow rabbit. [130:18] Like what happens if I don't follow the [130:20] rabbit? [130:24] Angel. [130:28] Lucifer was an angel [130:31] until he wanted to overthrow God and [130:32] then he was kicked out [130:35] and then he went back to fight God. I [130:37] don't know if this is in the main story, [130:40] but it was like God said, "Yeah, fight [130:42] him, but I'm also going to make you guys [130:43] all nerfed because otherwise we will [130:45] literally rip the universe apart." [130:47] Because God's angels, his soldiers were [130:49] just far too powerful. [130:59] Feel like we're in the belly of [131:01] something. [131:12] Oh, is it getting harder to move? [131:18] Oh, it's getting more claustrophobic. [131:23] I don't like that. No, don't. No, don't [131:26] do that. [131:30] I thought we were having a nice dig. [131:40] Maybe this is where I Maybe this is like [131:42] deep beneath the earth's crust. Whoa, [131:44] cool. [131:47] That's so biblical. [131:51] What's going on, bro? [131:56] Okay, I wait for me. I'll be back. [132:01] I ain't coming back. I'm going to [132:03] [ __ ] die down here. [132:06] That is for sure. [132:12] Whoa. [132:24] I'm not crawling in this game. [132:38] Oh my god, [132:46] that's so sick. [132:49] I have to frame it up nicely. I need it [132:50] to look good. [132:53] Not because it I mean it could be a [132:55] thumbnail, but just because I like to [132:58] play cinematographer every now and then. [133:01] These are all me. [133:14] You have to make a choice, Victor. [133:17] Follow my light [133:20] or let them devour you. [133:23] What the [ __ ] is that? [133:33] Did I have a choice? [133:42] Cuz I couldn't really do anything during [133:44] that. [133:45] [ __ ] yeah. [133:51] This is like King and Yellow [ __ ] [133:54] They feared a world unaligned with the [133:57] tyranny of their dogma. Thus, the angel [133:59] was condemned and cast down. Okay, so do [134:01] I have to move these around? [134:10] Hell yeah, it is Lucifer. [134:13] Um, the angel taught truth and secrets [134:16] only she truly understood. Okay. So, [134:19] that's you being cast down. [134:30] An angel descended onto earth. The first [134:33] witness lay wrapped in swaddling cloth. [134:38] Is that [134:42] swaddling cloth? [134:47] Okay. Okay. The angel taught truth and [134:49] secrets only she truly understood. [134:52] Oh no, this is swaddling cloth. [134:57] So what is this one? [135:00] That has to be secrets, right? [135:05] All flesh withers. Some flowers are cut [135:08] before they can bloom. The people mourn [135:10] the ways of the world. [135:14] Maybe that's that. [135:21] I don't know if this is right at all. [135:24] The angel refused the cruelty of fate. [135:26] He shattered the boundaries between life [135:28] and death. [135:32] Maybe that's that. [135:35] Yeah. [135:38] Cool. [135:40] I love [ __ ] like this. I love biblical [135:44] iconography and stories cuz the stuff [135:46] that's in the Bible is incredible. Like [135:49] the stuff that it writes about is such a [135:51] sick story. I just personally I don't [135:55] believe any of it happened. But as like [135:58] if I read it as a piece of fiction, it's [136:01] one of the best things I've ever [136:02] written. [136:07] They broke me, Victor. [136:13] Oh yeah. [136:17] I refuse to let you suffer my fate. [136:24] This is not the end. This is so sick. [136:28] Like Pro, I still live on trapped in [136:31] static. His cassette is the key. It is [136:35] what will bridge the gap between us, [136:36] between life and death. [136:40] It is how you will set us both free. I [136:44] know I probably shouldn't, but I'm down. [136:46] Like water breaks stone over the ages. [136:48] The past that binds us both can be [136:50] washed away. [136:54] So take the youer. [136:56] You were you were wash away all these [136:59] memories of funerals of loss and death [137:04] forever. Look at that [ __ ] biblically [137:06] saraphim angel. [137:27] Oh, I'm burning it all down. [137:36] Oh Jesus, [137:40] Victor. What we doing, man? [137:43] What we doing? What we doing? [137:53] Oh, [137:55] that was a lot less explosive [137:57] immediately than I expected it to be. [137:59] Okay, well, I'll get out then. I want to [138:01] go home. Yeah, me too. [138:04] At this moment in time, it might be too [138:06] late, but I would like to go home. [138:10] Turn around. [138:16] Okay. Well, that's like really [138:17] immediately bad, right? Oh, [138:23] >> navigator. [138:24] >> Navigator. [138:27] >> Duh. [138:30] Missile M12. Well, what remains of her? [138:33] >> We thought they left us here to rot. [138:36] >> Loyalty doesn't tend to be rewarded in [138:39] this business. [138:41] >> That said, we're sure glad to have you [138:43] here. [138:46] >> You're part of Adamco's crew, aren't [138:48] you Ston? [138:52] >> And that explosion just now was you're [138:53] doing. Yeah. [138:56] A crazy way to make a path between our [138:58] vessels for sure, but we'll take it. [139:02] >> We did find what we were looking for all [139:04] this time. You know, [139:06] >> the signal source. It's here just a few [139:09] meters beneath us. [139:12] I've got to say, I've never seen [139:13] anything so beautiful. I can't wait. [139:17] Make your way over to us. Yeah. [139:22] We'll dig our way out of this hole [139:23] together. How? [139:27] But be careful, son. [139:32] >> There are old, sinister things down here [139:34] that might be best left forgotten. [139:39] >> And I get the feeling they don't want us [139:40] to leave. [139:44] >> [ __ ] yeah. Wait, how did my explosion [139:46] bridge a gap between us? Oh, [139:49] psychologically. [139:54] Oh, cool. Demon. [139:58] Oh, cool. Scary etchings. [140:02] Oh, cool. Portal to hell. [140:05] Sign me up. [140:15] Is this your ship? Man, your digs are [140:17] way nicer than mine. [140:24] Hidden treasure to save dad [140:29] over here. [140:36] Maybe I need two fuses for it. [140:43] Hidden treasure to save Daddyo. That's [140:45] me. I'm dad. [140:50] Come on, Jibus. Help. [140:54] When we needed him most, he was silent. [140:58] He said, "Why should I?" [141:01] Damn Jesus. [141:03] That's ice cold. [141:06] Why would you do that? [141:11] Okay, maybe I should just actually try [141:13] doing this. [141:18] What is it? Red and yellow. [141:24] Like what does that one do? [141:31] Wait, is this the same protocol? [141:36] Oh [ __ ] [141:44] Okay. Well, I'm worried now that if I [141:47] just go straight through this, it'll [141:49] end. But [141:52] like I missed a thing. But also maybe [141:54] the thing I need to get into that room [141:56] is in here. [141:58] But maybe I can retry it after [142:02] if that's the case. Oh, cool. [142:15] Damn, this is sick. [142:18] Cuz the stuff about like Eldrich beings [142:21] and Cthulhu and the unknowable and it [142:23] [ __ ] with your brain a lot, [142:26] it's kind of the same as like what [142:28] angels and everything are. The angels [142:30] show up and it's I love that image of [142:32] like be not afraid. It's like this is [142:34] literally the scariest moment of my [142:35] life. [142:39] Like this [ __ ] is terrifying when you [142:40] think about it. [142:43] And I love the idea of angels and gods [142:45] and everything being so unknowable to [142:47] us. Like even if they did create us and [142:48] all that, but that they're so above our [142:51] plane of existence that they're just so [142:53] scary and hard to figure out. [143:00] Is there something else back here? [143:04] Is it all just lead around? [143:07] I'm worried about missing something. [143:13] Oh, [143:18] someone went splat right there. [143:23] Oh, [143:26] put some clothes on. [143:36] Whoa. [143:38] Is this flesh? [143:43] Ew. [143:47] Walk across the fleshy causeway. [143:57] Oh, my son, my child, my baby boy, my [144:00] funtime friend. [144:05] You [144:07] stop hitting me. [144:09] Kill him. [ __ ] him up. [144:14] Okay, let's run. Hey guys, how's it [144:17] going? [144:19] This [ __ ] sucks. [144:22] I'm out. I'm out. Oh god, this is [144:26] actually really scary. I don't like it. [144:30] Was this the way out? Oh god. Oh god. [144:38] Oh [ __ ] Boy, am I glad I explored that [144:41] when I had the chance. [144:44] That helped quite significantly. [144:47] Close that [ __ ] thing. [144:50] What the [ __ ] [144:58] What the hell is that? [145:06] Where's the gun? Where's the gun? Oh [145:07] god. [145:10] Do I have a bullet in this? [145:16] Let go of me. Let go of me. Let go of [145:18] me. [145:19] There's no bullets. I can't see [145:21] anything. Ah. [145:26] Okay. [145:29] Run. Run. I'm stuck. I'm stuck. What the [145:31] [ __ ] am I stuck in? [145:34] Oh, Jesus Christ. [145:40] Okay. Lure him. Lure him. [145:45] He's so [ __ ] weird. [145:50] Okay. Okay. [145:58] That's good, right? [146:04] I don't like it. I don't like it. I [146:05] don't like it. [146:08] Save dad. Save dad. Room to save dad. [146:12] Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. [146:15] Is I really wish a door would close [146:18] behind me. Wa. This is cool. [146:21] No time. [146:27] No time. [146:32] How those balloons not popped? [146:35] Oh, the lights are looking at me. [146:40] Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Faster. Faster now. [146:43] Faster. Faster. [146:47] For [ __ ] sake. [146:51] Oh, that sucks. That sucks. That sucks. [146:53] Kick him. Kick him. Kick him. [147:00] Oh, [ __ ] hell. [147:05] Stressful. So very very [ __ ] [147:07] stressful. [147:09] Holy god. [147:14] Cheers. [147:17] I wish this was vodka and not water. [147:22] I want to go deeper down than anyone. [147:25] Oh, [147:27] the bullet. [147:37] Okay. [147:40] What do I do? [147:44] Okay. Okay. Put it in. [147:54] [ __ ] yeah. [147:56] Bye-bye brain. [148:06] Well, you did go deeper down than I back [148:08] on the ship [148:10] so that I can bring them back him back [148:11] to you. Board the vessel. Find recording [148:13] equipment. Record my essence onto Pro's [148:16] cassette. Bring the cassette to me. [148:17] Bring us together. [148:20] Wait, what? Where the vessel? The other [148:23] vessel. Find recording equipment. Oh, [148:27] I guess I am on the other vessel. [148:35] Oh, [148:37] I did not stick the landing. [148:49] Do I have I have nothing. [148:54] I can't see. [149:05] Okay, [149:09] this is as far as those who came before [149:10] you made it. [149:12] I love that the voice now is I love that [149:15] the voice is like shaking everything. [149:19] Uh, we finally managed to pick up [149:21] readings of the signal. It's weak, but [149:23] it's definitively something there with [149:25] its own signature. Good to know we [149:27] didn't drill all this way down for [149:28] nothing. [149:34] Distance remaining 3 m. [149:39] God, I can barely walk anymore. [149:44] Cut extraction cables. [149:47] Four three against two. She wants us to [149:50] dig. Dig. [149:57] You opened your eyes to truly see. [150:00] Salvation is not something to be found [150:02] through prayer or by chance. You have to [150:04] take it for yourself. Whoa, you're full [150:07] of crystals. [150:10] I need recording equipment. Should I [150:12] take one of these? [150:21] Soon the wait is over. Whoa, the [150:23] crystals are [ __ ] speaking to me. [150:28] Record me onto the cassette together [150:30] with Pro. [150:33] Let this world without him finally be [150:36] undone. [150:38] We've cut the extraction cables. [150:40] Thinking, talking, getting difficult. [150:42] There is something here with us. It must [150:44] stay here. We must stay here. Just wish [150:47] I remembered why. [150:58] Oh, it's like the opposite of what I did [151:00] before. Like the heart rate and [151:03] everything. [151:12] Signal source too far away from [151:14] recorder. We're so damn close. Required [151:16] action. Bring drilling vessel closer to [151:18] signal source. [151:20] I still can't reach him. [151:23] Get into the pilot seat, Victor. [151:26] One last time. [ __ ] yeah. Oh, look at [151:29] the eyes. [151:33] This is so cool. [151:44] Get out of my [ __ ] seat. [151:52] Okay. What do I Oh, 70. [151:58] Break through the past. [152:07] [ __ ] yeah. [152:15] Nothing lies between us now. I have [152:18] become crystal. [152:20] Make the recording. Yes, my lord. [152:29] Oh, I'm overwriting my child. [152:36] Oh, how long I too had waited. [152:39] Thank you, Victor, for all that you've [152:41] given me. [152:44] In return, I merely hope to give you the [152:46] peace you have so truly earned. As for [152:48] me, I fear I'll never be able to let go. [152:55] Don't worry, I won't keep you. [152:58] Petro has already waited long enough. [153:20] do. [153:30] So, do I get a doover? [153:34] Whoa. Yeah. Cool. [153:39] Dear Pro, the day I'm writing this to [153:41] you, you are just turning six. My plan [153:43] is to give you this letter by the day [153:44] you turn 16, or perhaps when you get [153:47] your first job, or perhaps when you get [153:49] married. When does a child stop being a [153:51] child? I can tell you that when I look [153:54] at you now making noises with your toy [153:57] drill or when you draw with all the [153:59] colors that you have or when you keep [154:01] glancing out the window because perhaps [154:04] soon the rain will be gone and we can go [154:06] to the playground. Right now I feel that [154:09] you will always be my little boy [154:10] forever. I wonder what kind of young man [154:13] you will be by the time I give you this [154:15] letter to you. Will you be a rascal or a [154:17] studious bookworm? Will you go to the [154:19] Strata Institute to be a navigator like [154:22] your dad? I hope not. You'll probably be [154:25] a bit ashamed of me as teenagers usually [154:27] are. The only other thing I can say for [154:30] certain is that no matter what the path [154:32] you choose in life, I will always love [154:34] you, your father, Victor. [154:37] That's nice. [154:40] Is this the end? [154:45] Wow. of our house. Pre-burn [154:50] cassettes. I'll never look at them the [154:52] same way ever again. [154:55] Strate directive committee. Victor, your [154:57] rejection of our offer saddens me, but I [154:59] want you to know I understand. I know [155:01] your father would never see. I know that [155:03] your father yourself a heavy burden to [155:05] bear. Seem to give everything. I'm proud [155:07] of you. Oh, the same thing. [155:17] A [155:20] honorable deed. This is to certify that [155:22] it appears by the registers of the [155:23] Institute of Strata that Victor Kaminsky [155:26] in the examination for the degree of [155:28] engineering and boring in accordance [155:30] with the statutes of the state kept the [155:33] prescribed residence and passed all the [155:35] necessary examinations on 28th of June [155:37] 1962. [155:39] I was qualified. [155:49] Oh, this is not a nice bathroom. [156:00] Oh cute. [156:02] Is there no mom? It's just him and dad. [156:08] A remarkable revival. Just when you [156:10] thought old man Kaminsky had lost his [156:12] touch, he does it again. Tus Kaminsky, [156:14] who became a household name. I'm assume [156:15] that's the dad. When he cemented the [156:17] record for deepest descent in 1964, [156:19] describes himself as someone who has [156:21] always been a restless soul. Back in the [156:23] heydays of drilling, they just couldn't [156:25] keep me away from the ground. Kaminsky [156:27] says the people of Strata used to say, [156:29] "I must be part mole." It's been 9 years [156:32] since Strata's last manned deep earth [156:34] drilling mission. Destabilized bedrock [156:37] and falling mineral prices has been some [156:40] of the reasons why vessels such as the [156:41] M12 were figuratively put on the shelf. [156:44] It felt right somehow. Kaminsky laughs [156:47] when asked about why he chose to accept [156:49] a mission that is as daring as it is [156:51] dangerous. The M12 and I have been [156:53] through a lot together. When Strata [156:54] unveiled the mission, I just thought to [156:56] myself, no way I'm letting anyone else [156:58] go down with her. [157:04] I like that the name of the company is [157:05] Strata. That's very clever. [157:12] My boy, my son, my beautiful bouncing [157:16] child. [157:20] Out into the [ __ ] grass, baby. [157:25] Just as it was written. [157:34] There he is. [157:39] He looked a lot different when I turned [157:42] off your life support. [157:47] That's nice. [157:52] Find pro. [157:54] I mean, I probably doomed the world to [157:58] doom and damnation, right? But I got my [158:01] happy ending. [158:20] You'll be the first to watch. [158:33] Oh, [158:42] >> right after entering M13 after [158:44] extraction. [158:47] Four tapes. [158:55] Oh [ __ ] I'm playing this. [158:59] >> That's so cool. [159:06] >> Oh, I killed him. [159:16] >> Oh, that's such a [ __ ] smart way of [159:18] doing that. foreign. [159:41] That's cool. [159:45] That's so smart. [159:49] He stabed Senko multiple times with a [159:50] screwdriver. Two of the wounds were [159:52] fatal. Yeah, that's the wreck room. [159:59] >> So, did I do all this because I [160:03] >> most seem to be consistent with signal [160:04] sickness. Did I do all this cuz I wanted [160:06] to get to the signal to save my child? [160:12] >> Minsky was just most susceptible. [160:21] Like was I lured down by the [160:25] the signal [160:28] cuz it promised me salvation or whatever [160:32] like peace. So then I killed everyone. [160:35] Or maybe it just made me mad in general. [160:37] That's so [ __ ] cool. [160:47] old war torpedo just to blast his way in [160:48] through the hole. [161:04] It's like he tried to rip his body [161:05] apart. How the hell would I have done [161:07] that? [161:13] Maybe I was the [ __ ] monster that was [161:15] chasing myself all this time. [161:23] >> The old crew was long gone. No surprises [161:24] there. But Kaminsky did manage to use [161:26] their recording equipment. [161:32] >> Uh-oh. Did you guys bring that back? [161:34] Kaminsky used what appears to be one of [161:35] those Vastto cassettes that he must have [161:37] brought with him on the mission. [161:39] That sucks. [161:42] >> He's clearly delirious beyond all human [161:43] reason at that point, [161:46] >> though he still seemed intent on [161:47] actually completing the mission. [161:51] >> And did he did he get a recording of the [161:53] signal? [161:59] >> We haven't verified that. [162:02] >> Oh, please plug it in. Please plug it [162:05] in. [162:12] This mission was never about wisdom. [162:16] >> This has all been damage control from [162:17] the start. [162:20] >> And now we are here with so much damage [162:21] has already been done. [162:26] >> Just need to know it wasn't all for [162:27] nothing. [162:35] >> Yeah. Plug it in. Plug it in. Plug it [162:39] in. Release him. [162:44] One, two, one, two, three. Release him. [163:01] That's so cool. [163:14] Oh, [ __ ] yeah. [163:34] That's so sick. [163:52] And it just goes back to desktop. That's [163:55] so cool, [163:59] baby. What happens if I try and launch [164:00] it again? I doubt anything's changed. [164:03] But [164:05] that was so satisfying. What an ending. [164:08] That was phenomenal. That whole game was [164:09] incredible. I had so much fun start to [164:11] finish. I was even like, "Okay, I'll [164:14] record some of it now and then I'll take [164:15] a break and then I'll come back and [164:16] record the rest of it later." And then I [164:18] just played all [ __ ] 3 hours of it [164:21] non-stop because I just wanted to see [164:23] what was happening. [164:28] Yep. [164:30] Yep. The world is [ __ ] That's so cool [164:34] as well that her desk was the one at the [164:37] start. Ah, that's so fun. What a [164:40] satisfying game. Just start to finish. [164:43] Mechanics were so fun to interact with. [164:45] The clicky clacky tactile interaction of [164:49] everything, but it wasn't so much that [164:50] it was annoying. The visuals were just [164:53] perfect. The story was really, really, [164:56] really good. [164:58] I that honestly blew me away with how [165:00] good it was. Like I was invested in what [165:03] was happening. It really again it really [165:05] did feel like mouthwashing or the first [165:07] time I played Iron Lung where you're [165:09] just on a journey and you don't know [165:12] what to expect. You don't know what's [165:13] coming. Obviously this is way more [165:14] complex and in-depth than something like [165:16] Iron Lung would be, but the [165:19] psychological aspects of what [165:21] mouthwashing was doing like just really [165:23] incredible stories built into these [165:25] indie horror games. It's just so cool. [165:28] I'm so glad I get to play stuff like [165:31] this for my job and get to share it with [165:34] so many more people and put it out [165:35] there. Please go support the devs of [165:38] this if you can because it's one thing [165:41] to for me to buy it and play it and then [165:43] for you to all watch it, but if you can [165:46] and you're interested, please go buy it [165:47] for yourselves because I love being able [165:50] to support developers like this in their [165:52] endeavors of what they're trying to do. [165:54] I mean, it's £10 for me to buy. So, some [165:58] of you can spare £10 or however much it [166:00] is in your region. There's nothing [166:02] really to say. It was just good start to [166:04] finish. People online had said it was [166:06] good, but it was even better than I [166:07] expected. I didn't think I would get as [166:09] enthralled by it as I did. I think [166:11] that's okay. I'm It's the honeymoon [166:14] period cuz I just finished it and I'm [166:15] feeling really good. So, I'm going to [166:17] say something really stupid, which is [166:19] that it's one of the better games I've [166:21] played this year that for my aesthetics, [166:24] for what I'm into in terms of story and [166:26] like Eldrich Truth and Finding Signals [166:29] and the horror of it all. Like, this was [166:32] just ticking all of my boxes personally. [166:34] So, I think it's probably the best indie [166:36] horror game I've played this year, but [166:38] it's also been a long year so far [166:39] already, and I can't really remember [166:41] everything I've played. But, I'm going [166:43] to put it up there. That's going to be [166:44] the title of the video. I don't care. [166:46] Sue me. Please don't sue me. Thank you [166:49] guys so much for watching and for going [166:50] on the journey. If you watched the whole [166:51] thing start to finish, well done. I hope [166:53] you're feeling as satisfied as I did. [166:56] Now, go dig into the story more. Go look [166:59] up other people's essays on it and other [167:02] people's videos talking about the story [167:04] more. Put down in the comments what you [167:06] think. the little things that I may have [167:08] missed in the story that it didn't [167:09] explain outright, the stuff that [167:11] connected from start to finish, the [167:13] letters that were all there, cuz [167:14] everything seemed intentional from the [167:16] very beginning. I I'm assuming if you go [167:18] back and play it now from the start, [167:20] you'll start to see all the stuff again, [167:22] like a mouthwashing game that it'll all [167:26] start falling into place immediately and [167:27] you're like, "Oh, [ __ ] That's really [167:30] cool. I had no idea, but it was right [167:32] there from the beginning." And I'm glad [167:34] it didn't show me what the signal was. [167:36] I'm glad it didn't really show me what [167:39] sort of a creature it was, if anything, [167:41] because all of that stuff is way more [167:43] interesting when your imagination thinks [167:44] about it. Like, if you just showed me a [167:48] big monster, I'm like, well, that's [167:50] lame. I'm glad that it was like the eyes [167:52] on the screen and an eye here and like [167:55] the signal that it was showing you was [167:56] like, what does that actually mean? It's [167:58] like magnetic poles and the polarity of [168:01] like Earth and it was buried deep [168:03] beneath the earth. Why was it actually [168:05] Lucifer a fallen angel? Or was it just [168:08] using that iconography because that's [168:10] what it knows a human will relate to and [168:12] what my brain was putting on it? Like [168:15] that stuff is all so yummy. It's so [168:17] rich. It's so textured. And that's what [168:19] I love about these types of games and [168:20] these types of stories cuz it makes you [168:22] talk. It makes you want to learn more. [168:24] But when you pump the brakes and you [168:26] just don't reveal everything and you [168:27] leave a little bit more for me to chew [168:30] on, I don't need all the answers. I just [168:32] need enough for me to make up my own [168:34] answers. And that's what games like this [168:36] and stories like this do so well. And I [168:38] love it. And it's exactly the stuff that [168:40] I'm into. Thank you guys so much for [168:42] watching this video. Go check out some [168:43] other stuff like mouthwashing, uh, Iron [168:46] Lung that I've done on my channel [168:47] before. There's a bunch of other games [168:49] in this similar vein that I think you [168:52] would highly enjoy. But thank you for [168:54] watching this one and I'll see you next
