## Summary

In this video, the creator analyzes the current state of altcoins, arguing that many presumed dead will return faster than expected. He provides a framework for identifying which altcoins have the highest potential for gains by focusing on on-chain activity, revenue generation, and team engagement, while warning against coins with no real usage or continuous token unlocks.

### Key Points

- **Bitcoin's Falling Wedge Setup** [01:10] — Bitcoin is in a falling wedge pattern near $65k, holding up well despite geopolitical tensions and Fed rate hike talks. The majority of Bitcoin holders are in extreme loss, similar to bottoms in 2020 and 2019, signaling potential upside.
- **Ethereum vs Bitcoin Chart Resembles 2020-2021** [02:32] — The ETH/BTC chart shows a similar setup to late 2020 before the altcoin season, with a low in April 2025 and a higher low now. A breakout could fuel the next altcoin rally.
- **Macro Indicators Turn Bullish for Altcoins** [03:16] — Copper/gold ratio breaking uptrend and ISM manufacturing index above 50 (expansion) suggest a favorable macro environment for altcoins. This contrasts with the shrinking balance sheet era that suppressed altcoin performance.
- **Altcoins May Have Already Bottomed** [04:10] — Ethereum and many altcoins bottomed in June 2022, before Bitcoin's November 2022 bottom. If Bitcoin has already bottomed, altcoins could see significant gains. Even if Bitcoin bottoms later, good altcoins may not drop further.
- **Large Caps Are Safe Bets** [06:37] — Established top-100 projects like XRP, Cardano, Ethereum, Solana are likely to survive. They attract high volumes and liquidity. Use DefiLlama to check on-chain activity and TVL to pick the most active ones.
- **Midcaps: Revenue Generation Is Key** [08:25] — Midcap projects ($100M-$1B) are riskier but can be evaluated by real revenue. Examples like Kards ($383k daily revenue) and Pump Fund ($3.2M daily) show that revenue-generating tokens are more resilient. Avoid projects with massive token unlocks and no on-chain transactions.
- **Dead Coins: No Revenue, Massive Unlocks** [13:23] — Bear Chain is an example of a dead coin: no on-chain activity, continuous VC unlocks. Such coins likely won't recover even in a bull market. In contrast, a beaten-down chart with real revenue (like Aether) may revive when the market improves.
- **Small Caps Require Caution** [17:20] — Small caps are the most risky but can offer outsized returns. Look for signs of life: active team on Twitter, ongoing development, token burns or giveaways. Examples like Medicaid and Lingo still show activity despite price declines.
- **Strategy for Current Market** [20:08] — With the market quiet near a potential bottom, the creator is using low-leverage trades on Yubit. He advises subscribing for future videos on this strategy.

### Conclusion

The key to altcoin success is focusing on projects with real usage, revenue, and active teams, rather than hype. By using tools like DefiLlama and monitoring social activity, investors can distinguish between dead coins and those poised to recover.

never ever coming back. So we've been told. But what if I told you that I actually believe that many will return far faster than most people think. If you want to know exactly which ones you should be chucking out and that are
completely dead and which ones have the biggest potential for gains over the favor, hit the like button and let's get into today's video. Now guys, before I be completely forgetting about and which ones I've been 100% focusing towards
right now, because I think they have the biggest potential for gains into the quick disclaimer. Nothing I say in this video is financial advice. Everything I wish to invest in crypto, you should understand it's risky and you can lose
always do your own research before investing in anything. Now that we've with it. Now guys, before we jump into the world of altcoins and gain a real understanding of what really drives an altcoin price to be rising and what
really is going to leave one dead never being able to return because I promise video, you are going to have more understanding of how altcoins and crypto prices move than most people out there. Let's quickly first of all though jump
into the Bitcoin price. As you can see, it is doing something a little bit more quite some time. Because right now, you can see that the Bitcoin price is being funneled into this falling wedge. And right now, the price is sat just under
$65,000, which given all the drama we've seen with the war in the Middle East, as well as what's been happening with the Federal Reserve and talks of rate hikes, seen the stock market having a bit of a rough time, but cryptos held up
surprisingly well. And no, I don't believe that's cuz capital's rotating the majority of the Bitcoin market is sat in extreme loss right now, which they're not going to sell anymore. Okay, this is what you saw all the way back at
the bottom in 2020, and all the way back in 2019. This gives me pretty good higher from here. And as you look at Bitcoin right now, I do think that we you're probably thinking, well, yeah, okay, so just buy a Bitcoin because
altcoins suck. And judging by what happened between 2022 and 2025, you may be right if we forget about the likes of Salana and Suie and some of the other got into them early enough. But I genuinely believe that this time is
laugh at that because many people hear that all the time. But let me just show you a few reasons why it is different and why having some exposure to some good strong altcoins may be a good addition to just holding on to some
look is this Ethereum versus Bitcoin chart. While Bitcoin went on a good run and the wider altcoin market had a pretty rough time. But as you can see, this was back in 2021. Eventually, after a pretty rough time for Ethereum against
Bitcoin, we had a very strong breakout at the end of 2020 into 2021 and beyond. This was effectively what fueled the altcoin season that seems to have become a bit of a myth. And right now, as you can see, we have an almost identical
setup. We had that low that came in back in April of 2025, a higher low up here, and now starting to look to break beyond here. If we are in and around this zone, then we could be expecting to see some fairly interesting times ahead. And
that's not happening randomly because this push up higher for Ethereum as well performing that badly versus Bitcoin recently is all to do with the balance towards the upside after being in this brutal downtrend that basically held
years. And here on the bottom you've got copper versus gold which has been in a downtrend since 2021 like that has now started to break into a very strong uptrend now breaking out beyond here. newly on top the others versus Bitcoin
10 versus Bitcoin. This is effectively where altcoins underperformed over the past few years because of a shrinking balance sheet because of the ISM manufacturing index being under 50 i.e. in contraction right now that ISM is
over 50. We're going to see more expansion and this in the background whenever the Bitcoin price does decide to start running towards the upside is footing than they've seen for a very long time. So, this is why I'm focusing
different from what happened before because it's all in the information here. And another very good reason, especially around this current time, is that back in 2022 when we had the FTX crash and things like that, Bitcoin
the altcoins actually bottomed far before that. You see, Bitcoin here bottomed in November of 2022, but Ethereum bottomed in June of 2022. And from there, yes, it did dip down again, but that dip was around 25% higher than
that first dip. And it wasn't the only one to continue making gains from there. that Bitcoin has already bottomed. And if it has, then we're going to see much higher prices for Bitcoin and the altcoins heading into the end part of
the year. If I'm wrong, and Bitcoin does indeed bottom later on in the year, like to do, then it doesn't necessarily mean that altcoins have to go down lower. And as long as you are going after the right kind of altcoins, we'll talk about those
in just a moment, then you should be safe from potential volatility that comes up or at least as safe as you can be buying altcoins. Remember, if you are understand it can go up and down. Remember, if you're trying to buy in and
around this zone, this is Ethereum back in like 2019, 2020, then you're basically aiming to try and sell somewhere up here. You can't be rattled zone. And that's the reason that you need to build conviction and
in. If you need to know exactly when to buy and when to sell and which coins to buy, etc., then you're always going to be borrowing someone else's conviction. channel is to try and educate you and teach you to have your own conviction
because truly, I believe that's the only way to make real money in crypto. And it imagine if you got into Ethereum here at $315. You could have potentially been $315. You could have potentially been down 70% back in 2019. But eventually,
you would have been up 15x if you just held on, even more if you'd been able to add more to your position. Your only job is to buy lows and see value in good later on for a much higher price. So then, let's get on with it because I
probably wondering which projects are altcoins and some of them seem to not be going very well and continue to push and get out? Should I be putting all my money into this altcoin that's been
hopefully in the next 5 to 10 minutes or so, you're going to be able to answer that question for yourself. First things first, what comes back to life? What is a kind of a semi sure bet or as close as a shore bet comes in crypto? Number one
is large caps, old projects. These ones are typically going to be around probably for a long time. And I mean the ones in the top 100, probably even the top kind of 50 like the XRPs and the Kadanos and the Ethereums and the
Salanas and everything around that. Okay, these projects come back to life. back to life, what does everyone do? They go and load up their Coinbase and go and buy some XRP because it went up in 2017 or whenever it was that they
last held them. These big crypto projects tend to stick around and they still have a lot of money and a lot of liquidity in them and people like to trade them because they tend to attract big volumes. So yes, they come back to
life. Which are the best ones? Well, in the top 100, well, ideally you want to go towards the chains that are actually the most active ones. Easiest way to do that is to go to defilelama.com, uh, which I talk about quite often on
this channel, I admit, but is a very useful one all the same. Uh, where here on chain. So, for example, if you go to Ethereum, uh, right now you can see there's $41 billion locked on Ethereum. Uh, and stable coins over the last 7
days, while down, $148 billion of volume. It's not going anywhere. It's very active. There's a lot of protocols on here in the last 24 hours that have Ethereum is going to be around for a long time. It's going to do very well.
almost certain because of that Ethereum versus Bitcoin chart, but I'm not really expecting it to go more than maybe a 12 to $15,000 price tag. Maybe it goes above that. I'd be quite happy if it did, but you know,
to have already bottomed out here or at least to have been in very good value bounced very strongly over the past kind of few years or so, right? If you want that there's going to be potential for more volatility. I would then look at
smaller market cap. If you look at the TVL here, again, big, nowhere near Ethereum. And then there's a lot of successful projects on here. Pump Fund, $3.2 million a day. It's absolutely bonkers uh money generated from Pump
Jupiter as well doing well. A few of these dexes and whatever else. Okay, so Salana very active. Only invest in active ecosystems. Okay, if you want to bet on large caps, choose the better ones, the ones that are most active. And
Ethereum sucks and the technology is not as good as this project that launched a couple of years ago and is a far faster layer 1 and whatever else." Well, guys, just think about this for a moment. Let's take this from a real world
easier to grasp. Let's say you wanted to invest in a restaurant, right? You're in opportunity to invest in one of two different restaurants. One is a fish and years, has always got a queue outside the door, is packed with people, and
every day is making an absolute killing. Its revenue grows by 5 to 10% every year, and is a highly profitable business. Bit old school, but it works. new restaurant, super fancy, and they've got this new AI cocktail waiter, which
will make any particular cocktail that you want in front of you. And it's got the restaurant than the fish and chip shop and sell way more cocktails and bring in a bigger revenue. But the only thing is no one goes in the door because
the fish and chip shop because it's something I know. It's been around here you invest in? I think we both know the answer. Okay, be careful of the narrative, the story about why this is so good because it's got this and that
going for it. until it is showing up and it is being used for what it is said it's being used for. It is just a pipe dream. Okay, it's very easy right now to go and create some sort of story or idea that you can sell to people. And some of
these projects, not naming names, are very good salesmen. Okay, the older ones that have been around that are showing very good TVLs and very good traction on they are the shest bets that you're going to see in crypto. They're as sure
as a sure bet can be in the world of crypto. So hopefully that's useful. And away with these narratives as this market starts to get more exciting but hopefully it starts to get more interesting soon. When it does, don't
get sold hook, line, and sinker into these brand new exciting things. Anyway, moving on. Let's go away from the large caps because large caps are fairly obvious in my opinion. Onto the midcaps. Now, midcap for me is something that's
probably from like a billion dollars like down to like a hundred million, Now, a midcap is where we start to go more risky. And they're more risky don't have the legacy of like the Ethereums and XRPs. They don't
stable market caps and they're far newer. So, they have like much more kind capacity for like big institutions to be buying in. Now, the safest way to go if you're going to go after these midcaps is to then get into DeFi Lama again and
go after some of these projects that are generating real substantial revenue. Nobrainer, right? And coming across here, you got cards. $383,000 in a day. I just want to use this as an example. Okay, cards is a website where
they sell Pokémon cards and things like that. Or you can go and buy sell Pokémon cards using crypto. Kind of a cool concept. And their revenue is big, right now. And you can see coming across to cards that actually it's performed
market out there. Okay, it's been fairly strong up until kind of June. Obviously revenue is looking good. What we're looking for is a bit of a bottom. And I talked about this the other day on this channel talking about coins like cards
that are generating good revenue that have seen good pullbacks because this is going to be able to get through the worst of whatever's coming in any particular bad crypto market. And eventually when the crypto market's good
go up because they can afford the marketing. They can afford to put money back into their token and they can afford to get everyone excited about it good healthy pullbacks that are beginning to show signs of bottoming out
don't go and buy every single one out here that's making money. Just go and doing well. Pick a handful of them and then go and research. Okay? I haven't know that their revenue has been good. And I've seen the kind of angle that
sense to me that this is likely to do maybe quite well potentially if fact that the charts pull back, but maybe not enough for my liking. If we more interesting cuz I think Pump Fund had a bit more of a brutal pullback
million a day. Okay, look at it right right now. Still sat down in and around be like, "Oh, it's a terrible coin. It's a dead coin." Guys, don't buy that. Okay, just because the chart is down, it doesn't equal dead coin. This is what
equals alive versus the dead. The dead is when the chart looks horrendous and but they don't have any onchain transactions. they don't have anything product, then you should be cutting and running. So, if you're holding coins
this is Bear Chain, just as an example. And then you go to like Bear Chain on got here is massive unlocks coming all the time from all their VCs, literally every single day, millions of dollars of unlock happening. And if you realize
real onchain transactions going on, no revenue generation, etc., then to be cutting out of. Okay? These, in my opinion, are dead coins. don't believe that they can come back to life even in the craziest bull market of all time.
this, it doesn't mean it's dead. I want you to understand that if you can find a chart that looks like this for a project that really actually is generating real maybe you could be getting lucky. But maybe just wait for it to kind of start
to taper off. This didn't really taper off. It continued to roll over. Another clue to note is that this was all the way back in March of 2025. This was in May of 2025. This was October 20205. So despite seeing maybe a little bit of
activity in the market around then just absolutely got nailed. And it's mostly because of massive unlocks and an inability to buy back tokens. By look amazing to most people would be this from Aether, right? But there is a
noticeable difference in that the last major peak came here in September of 2025. So when the market was hot and everything was going on, it was pumping like crazy. All of a sudden it dies off. Retail sells up. Uh but what we're
off. Okay, you have the most brutal part of the dip here. So, we want to go and find is there real revenue and things going on with Aether annualized fees sitting at $88 million revenue at like 17 mil and you can see a lot of other
details here. Also, on top of that, back in 2024, Ather sold around $300 million worth of nodes to retail investors, but ultimately kept a huge amount of money from that. Eventually, when the market stabilizes, I expect, not guaranteed, of
course, that these projects will be injecting funds back in to buy out their tokens. So, this is what I want to be looking at, okay? Tokens that have been absolutely smashed but are generating revenue, real things going on, real
fish and chip shop, if the fish and chip still generating the revenue, would you go and invest in it? You probably would, sense. And it doesn't necessarily have to just be revenue with some of these
if they're not like generating huge numbers in revenue, do have the ability when the market's good. Render is a good example. Yes, they do have a bit of necessarily that major considering how big the market cap is. But you'll notice
every time the market showed any intent to get moving, Render absolutely sent. This time was back in 2021. Uh then you can see again into 2023 like 11x 2023 uh
2024 another good rip. Okay. Whenever the market's looking like pretty good render some of these midcap coins with good cash in the bank will come back to life. Usually. Okay. Usually. Not in every sense but that's why we diversify
a portfolio. Now I know down below everyone will be like well tell me about I'm trying to show you a concept. Not telling you just about render and a whatever else. Just showing you a few of the examples I know so that you can go
and use this same criteria to go and look into the coins that you hold. Maybe like, "Well, Hyperlquid's been doing well, but maybe it's been coming down a good time to buy in. Let's see. Well, you can go across. You can check out the
revenue. Revenue in the last 30 days, $37 million. Decent. Okay, this is doing pretty well, but it was getting a lot of focus and attention. Stay away from attention. Go towards the stuff that's not getting focus and attention. Okay,
to get out when everyone is looking in the direction of that particular coin. and you're holding it and you think that's great, sell it. Then that's Okay, we want to do the opposite of the masses in the market. If we do the same
as the masses in the market, we end up with what the masses get in return, which is ultimately losses. Okay, who wins? The minority. Do what the minority of a sensitive subject for many, including me, is the small cap coins.
challenging ones out there right now. And this is ultimately why I only invest smaller amounts in small caps. Only my opinion because they're the more stable, more likely to survive, but
they're not going to give you the potential of making crazy returns like a we're all holding going to come back to life? Good question, because I know a looking charts. Let's have a look at some. This here is Medicaid, a coin that
I am personally holding. As you can see, absolutely died down all the way here. Now sits down, sitting basically going grinding sideways. Now, that gives me a little bit of confidence that this isn't going to go much lower than where it is.
it going to go all the way back up here? And that's a very good question, but these smaller caps. What I really think is worth knowing though is which of these small caps is still paying attention. Which of the teams are still
kind of on the ball and working towards really pushing things along? And the Twitter. No one's going to keep running social media teams and pay money for alive and work on kind of things in the future just cuz small caps have died off
just because all retailers lost interest. They've sold up and then holding at the end who are just waiting for better times and if you get better this is Medicaid still posting pretty regularly. They're doing things like
burns and giveaways. This is pretty good stuff to see. Okay, you want to see kind of keep you up to date and also go and look at what they're doing. Are they they trying to make new partnerships and things like that? And for me, I'm kind
of like happy to carry on holding on to coins like this. Another example here is Lingo. Again, you can see absolutely struggling down here, but it's been down here since back in February. It hasn't really gone anywhere. Okay, ultimately
Will it be able to rise up? Well, it is showing a little bit of activity in see if there's more activity going on. And as you can see, posts are still games going on. They're giving away money. There's things in the ecosystem
active. And you can see here people are staking tokens. So, in my eyes, that's a small caps, is there a guarantee that they're going to come back to life, but and you're not really sure, if the chart has already bottomed out and they're
still showing lots of activity and the team's very active and whatever, maybe for me. Obviously, you got to go and do your own research and decide for that seems to have died off and they haven't posted anything on Twitter for
going to come back and you should probably cut out and start to move across to something a bit more stable. Chances are when the market really see Bitcoin running up. You're going to see Ethereum, you're going to see a lot
of these mid to large caps getting moving first. Some of the small caps may do nothing for months until sentiment really begins to warm up and then we Now, right now, because the market is very quiet and I think that we've
close to being at the bottom for some of personally been putting on some very low leverage trades. And in a future video, make sure you subscribe for that. But I've been doing all of that through
below for Yubit. I personally deposited when I was trading, I also then got an airdrop, which allowed me to then grow moves that were happening. So, if you want to do the same, then make sure you
order to enjoy that same opportunity. Guys, I hope you enjoyed today's video. below, hit the like button if you haven't already, and also make sure you which is Peter Anthony Finance. Over there, I'm talking much more about AI,
lot of other things. So, make sure you go and follow me over there and make made the other day because it really breaks down what's going on behind the scenes with regards to the Fed, with regards to what's going on in Iran, and
going on in the crypto markets. Guys, thanks for watching and I'll see you thanks for watching and I'll see you very soon in another video. Bye-bye.
