[00:02] elo. And knowing the most up-to-date plays, the key areas to control, and what the common route losing errors are are all absolutely crucial to climbing coached hundreds of players to immortal and radiant, I've seen firsthand what [00:16] the most common problems in ranked teams are. From impossible retakes to simply useless utility usage. So, for this reason, I've decided to give you one tip the most overlooked and the most important problems of each map. Starting [00:29] three-lane map with a focus on mid control and a rushes for the attackers. These kinds of maps often work in a push and pull system. This means when one often takes something back. Sunset also has short flank timers for this reason. [00:44] Sunset is simple. Not many people know this, but attacker mid takes often causes a pushes and you can abuse this to create openings. Defenders often play close to a an elbow or a main. And when [00:56] [music] a majority of the attacker's team at mid, duelist players or anyone playing close to A will often want to take advantage of a potential 1v1 or taking free space in a main by pushing up. So, how do we abuse this? Instead of [01:09] always just going straight [music] into an A or B hit, try doing the following. deny information from the top mid players and sell the idea of a mid tank And number two, ensure that no defenders actually push out and get vision over [01:23] a sky flash through the window like this. You could also use other cams, drones, or dots. All you simply need to know is that the defenders don't have info on what's happening in mid. And if your utility does not confirm [01:37] invest for their utility or time to push them back. And lastly, check for the A There's a chance that you'll catch the lurker off guard and take the site is that it can be done with as few as having two players just making presence [01:52] you're playing. The more noise and players that you add to it, the more successful it becomes. But remember, you want to use this information denial and players that you have that are ready to play off of any openings on a better [02:05] even with these tips, you might still struggle to feel an actual impact in your ranked games, especially because understanding which exact tip directly struggles is not always easy. Moving on to an often hidden map, Abyss. This map can be quite [02:46] challenging in ranked as there's no obvious meta in the macro which can lead However, the following tip is a simple but very effective way of changing up in an uncomfortable position they never usually have to deal with and I'm [03:00] [music] Simple, right? But a rushes in ranked always come directly from a main The lack of pressure from mid leaves Silva free to reveal and spam until his heart's contempt, helping the A anchor to deal with the rush. And it also means [03:14] anyone is free to play under heaven or close a main with no worries. So having [music] from vents changes the entire dynamic of the site and often forces that heaven player into your teammates or forces them back into their spawn. So [03:27] mid to cut off the line of sight into top mid and allow you to get into vents. the defenders start playing inside vents and you hear the vent break, you don't actually need much else, but a smoke deep heaven and an omen flash might make [03:41] remember that the longer you're a threat in vents, the easier it is for your team to come out a next up for bind. Bind is a map that rewards confidence and this control on both sides. You're much better off if you win control for one of [03:55] the lanes. My tip is please fight for be long control. Fighting for long control a few times per half is crucial for the defenders to have good beholdles. When I'm coaching players, I see far too many players give up long way too easily. [04:07] They don't jump spot or listen for early round info. He is a small site with few make the attackers use at least some utility to take long and or hookah to teammates to help. Another reason we fight for long is that the attacking [04:21] hookah players often don't wait for [music] the long players to retake it execute, which is actually a mistake [music] since this breaks up their split before, but here's how you can do it properly. First off, we need info. So, [04:33] of course, a sky flash or a SOA or a reveal deep long can help us know when consistent jump spots can show us how far up long the enemy [music] is. And choose when to fight wisely, especially if we're using flashes. We want to take [04:48] this box. To put it simply, we just need a delay utility or put a smoke at the bottom of long followed by a flash. And remember that if our opponent is too far you've likely wasted your utility and haven't baited their utility out. So [05:02] give your teammates time to rotate and help you hold the sight. And when executed well, you'll avoid impossible retakes on B. And next up, we have split. We all know how tough attack sides are on split. So here's a tip that [05:14] helps with that. Learn how to bait out utility in mid. Any good attack run on The only exception being if you want to rush A. Most players will choose Sage, Viper, or another agent that is very strong at controlling mid on defense. [05:27] These B heaven players can shut down B main or mid very quickly whenever they this delay utility is absolutely crucial. Far too many players charge into the mid sage wall head first, but if you go for a straight up mid push, [05:40] or other important utility to get past fails because you simply just end up getting slowed down by the stage coming basically give the enemy loads of info. You lose utility and you start to lose [05:54] map control because the defenders react to that info. So this can often be a disastrous way to start the round. So my tip is just break the wall, smoke vents stage or whoever is playing mid. It [06:06] really need is for the mid defender player to feel that they need to use utility because you're pushing. So do this before a B execute or before Heaven or Vince. And once they've used their utility, wait it out and continue [06:19] with your more valuable util like a Sky Dog or Omen Flash. Try this out and let it is to play Split now. And next, let's talk about one of the most recent maps have no idea how to win on this map. The [06:32] insanely important and will make or break a defender side. Gaining mid control on crow allows the defenders to rotate far quicker and is needed to play a from a site is far easier to retake when splitting from spawn and aink at [06:45] the same time. Mid control also allows rotators to come into support A players faster if they're still delaying the push. You may also note that it's far mid if they don't have control there and without the ability to move into forward [06:58] lurker is unable to listen for defender rotations and push with the right part of the map and controlling it makes your defender side much easier. So how do we win mid control more consistently? My tip would be to go for mid control on [07:12] your first round. Get a teammate and get a smoke bottom mid and with mid covered potential enemy smokes and be ready for the attackers to run through your smoke to meet you. Lay utility or any kind of deterrent such as a clove decay or nades [07:25] will help you establish full control of mid. But remember to be aware of any through the smoke. The goal here is not always to fight, but to deter the attackers from coming through the smoke now and in future rounds. I personally [07:37] always spam the left wall because people are often hugging it to use the top mid progresses, they may start to adapt and try new ways of getting through your utility, such as flash dashing plays into a link. And it's important to [07:49] sometimes be even more aggressive if you notice that they're trying to isolate you out of the aort. And next up, we have Pearl. As you know, Pearl has been hate it. That's because Pearl is tricky to control, but as you'll notice, it's [08:02] maps that we've seen. Specifically on Pearl, we want to focus on getting area because once you have it, the defenders can no longer play R or Bane connector may force them to give up these positions or play more [08:16] elsewhere. And as we know, if a defending side gives up our control, it gives easy access to an A split. So to get connection control, we need a smoke on the cross and be link and a dog drone or flashes to get us into the doors. [08:29] Utilize abilities like an Asher pole or a breach stun to slow down the enemy players [music] playing near doors. This is crucial for the entry fragger to [music] can fully retreat. And now that we have connector control, what do we do [08:41] with it? Actually, sometimes doing nothing is great in this scenario. The in connector and will often try to clear it as soon as possible. And this is because they can no longer rotate safely due to sound or possible lurks into [08:54] spawn as well as making them vulnerable to splits. So sometimes it's best just that they're not going to reclear you. Then you can start to split a site. If everything goes to plan, you'll be able to take our control very easily and push [09:07] into A with your teammates in main. And for our last map, Haven, the tip is simple but effective. A out utility before retaking A. This is the easiest and quickest fix you can implement onto this map. A common mistake in ranked is [09:19] during an a sight retake only to be immediately countered by enemy abilities like a breach stun, an aftershock or an omen blind. The reason why this happens is because the attackers are expecting your retake utility so they have counter [09:32] utility ready. So my number one tip here would be to slow down your team and use some of the less valuable utilities to bait out [music] this reaction. Even just running up and peeking out at a few angles may bait a huge reaction from the [09:44] this will improve your success in this scenario if done correctly.
