[0:00] Hey folks, this is Kehani. Patch 1207 is [0:03] finally here, bringing us a bunch of new [0:05] content and a lot of new ways to gear [0:07] up. We have two new mini zones to [0:09] explore, a new borrowed power feature [0:12] that everyone will want to unlock, and [0:14] more gearing options for every kind of [0:16] player to increase your item levels even [0:18] further before season 1 comes to a [0:21] close. So, let's go over all of the new [0:23] content in patch 1207, which features [0:26] offer actual player power and what we [0:28] would recommend you get done first. Now, [0:30] before we jump in, be sure to hit up [0:32] that like button and subscribe so you [0:34] never miss another video. [0:36] The first thing everyone will want to [0:38] get done, no matter what kind of player [0:40] you are, is unlock the new Omnium Folio [0:42] feature. This provides passive bonuses [0:45] tied to these core runes, but it all [0:47] boils down to free damage, healing, or [0:49] survivability. So unlocking this new [0:52] feature will make your end of season [0:54] goals much easier. The runes and powers [0:56] from this feature will actually persist [0:58] throughout the rest of the Midnight [1:00] expansion instead of being disabled in [1:02] the next patch like most borrowed power [1:04] systems are. So if you don't get this [1:07] done, you'll actually be behind for the [1:09] rest of the expansion. So it should [1:11] definitely be at the top of your to-do [1:13] list. To unlock the Omnium Folio, you [1:16] need to pick up the purple important [1:18] quest, the Magister's Call, which can be [1:20] found near the field accolade vendors in [1:22] Silver Moon. Go pick that up and follow [1:24] through the relatively short quest line. [1:27] At the end of it, you'll gain access to [1:29] the Omnium Folio, which is a big new [1:31] button on your mini map, and you'll earn [1:33] your first point to spend in this new [1:35] talent tree. You can pick whichever core [1:37] rune suits you best, or whichever one [1:39] sims the highest. And that's it. New [1:42] borrowed power system unlocked. Now, you [1:45] will want to come back to the [1:46] Majesters's Terrace Library every week [1:48] after reset day to pick up the next [1:50] quest to earn another point to spend in [1:53] the tree. We have five rows total, and [1:55] you can spend one point per row. So, [1:57] we're looking at five weeks of progress [1:59] total. The Omnium Folio should unlock [2:02] for your alts as soon as you've done the [2:03] quests once, so you won't need to repeat [2:05] it on any of your alts, which is another [2:07] reason to get this squared away first. [2:10] It's also worth noting that if you're [2:11] mainly interested in player power and [2:14] you don't need the hero gear from the [2:15] new zones, this is really the only thing [2:18] you need to do in the patch. If you just [2:20] want to keep slamming mythic plus [2:22] dungeons or focus on clearing through [2:23] the raids, including the new Sporefall [2:26] raid, the Omnium Folio is the only real [2:28] important part of the patch to pay [2:30] attention to. [2:32] With the Omnium Folio unlocked, the next [2:35] thing on your list should be to unlock [2:36] the new zones. When you first logged in, [2:39] you should have gotten a pop-up quest [2:40] called the time to strike. You can hand [2:42] that in to Rift Blade Meia near the [2:44] field accolade vendors in Silver Moon. [2:47] She'll give you some follow-up quests to [2:49] recruit some very important allies to [2:51] help with our voyage beyond the stars. [2:53] Work through those quests, and you'll [2:54] find yourself opening a portal to one of [2:56] the two new zones. Now, Val and Nike are [3:00] on weekly rotations, so we only have [3:02] access to one of them at a time, but [3:04] they work in more or less the same way. [3:06] You open up the portal, establish a base [3:08] camp, and then you can start working on [3:10] weekly quests and farming currencies. [3:13] You can jump straight in on heroic mode. [3:16] You don't need to unlock it anymore, but [3:18] I would recommend entering on normal [3:20] mode for the first time for two main [3:22] reasons. The first is to just get used [3:24] to the zones before they become very [3:26] unforgiving. Heroic mode isn't just mobs [3:29] dealing more damage and having more [3:30] health. There are a bunch of elites [3:32] roaming around that make navigating the [3:34] zone quite a pain sometimes. But the [3:37] second reason is that you'll actually [3:38] have quite a few quests to get [3:40] everything set up first. So, I would run [3:42] on normal mode until you complete the [3:44] initial startup quests. Then you can [3:46] swap over to heroic to do the actual [3:48] farming. After you've gotten to about [3:50] this point and you're able to teleport [3:52] back to base and pick up the quest for [3:54] the world boss, I would just head back [3:56] to base immediately. Don't move on to [3:58] the world boss if you want the better [3:59] rewards from heroic difficulty, which [4:02] pretty much everyone is going to want. [4:04] This is where I would head out of the [4:06] zone by using the teleporter back to [4:08] Silver Moon and then you can jump back [4:09] in on heroic mode. Heroic mode will be [4:12] harder, but you'll be earning more field [4:14] accolades from every source. And the [4:16] world boss drops heroic gear instead of [4:18] champion gear, so it's totally worth it. [4:21] At this point, you will also be able to [4:22] use the teleporter in Silver Moon to get [4:24] back to the new zones instead of having [4:26] to go all the way back to the void storm [4:27] to use the portal that we opened. So, [4:29] that's a nice bonus, too. After [4:31] establishing the base camp, your alts [4:33] should be able to skip over the intro [4:35] quests and jump straight in. So, make [4:37] sure you finish those initial quests on [4:39] at least one character before moving on. [4:42] Your alts will be able to use the Silver [4:43] Moon teleporter right away as well. The [4:46] new zones are mainly good for farming [4:48] field accolades and warbound gear. You [4:50] can now spend field accolades on [4:52] specific pieces of hero gear or on [4:54] warbound champion gear. So, the new [4:56] zones are great for catching up with [4:57] gear or gearing up your alts. [5:00] If you don't need the hero gear or you [5:02] don't have any alts to gear up, the new [5:04] zones won't offer too much in terms of [5:06] rewards. If you're a solo content [5:08] player, you might want to check out the [5:10] new tier six difficulty for ritual [5:12] sites. You will need to turn on six [5:15] challenges, so they're not a total [5:16] pushover, but each tier six run will [5:19] reward you with five myth crests, which [5:21] you can then use to upgrade your [5:22] sparkcrafted gear to 285 very easily. So [5:26] that's one new gear avenue open to solo [5:28] content players who are already fully [5:30] kitted out in hero gear. Be sure to pick [5:33] up the quest just outside the ritual [5:34] sites for an extra void core bonus role [5:37] for working through tier six ritual [5:38] sites. [5:40] And then of course we have the new [5:42] Sporefall one boss raid. This raid [5:44] offers some of the best gear in the game [5:46] if you can clear it on mythic [5:48] difficulty. It's over in Harendar near [5:50] the grudge pit. Before you go [5:52] headto-head with Rott Meer, you should [5:54] pick up the Sporefall Rott Meer quest [5:56] from Sporamir in Silver Moon who can be [5:58] found right next to the portal to [6:00] Harendar. So that's nice and easy. That [6:02] quest rewards you with a free bonus roll [6:04] for killing Rott Meer on any difficulty. [6:07] So, that's definitely worth grabbing if [6:08] you're wanting to use your bonus rolls [6:10] to get some of that shiny 298 gear. I [6:13] guess it's also worth noting that [6:14] because it's a raid, bonus rolling will [6:17] most likely cost two bonus rolls on this [6:20] new boss. So, make sure you have at [6:21] least two rolls before you go get your [6:23] kills. Otherwise, you might end up being [6:25] quite disappointed. [6:28] If you enjoy law walking, there's a new [6:30] story that goes over some important [6:32] events to do with the lower, which will [6:34] be a decent primer if you haven't paid [6:36] too much attention to the history of the [6:37] trolls in the past. Patch 12.1 will most [6:40] likely have a strong troll focus, so [6:42] it's a great time to brush up on your [6:44] lore if you're interested in that kind [6:46] of thing. [6:48] From here on out, it's totally up to [6:49] you. There are a few other updates you [6:51] might want to check out. For example, [6:53] housing saw a few updates like outdoor [6:55] lighting. The moth hunt feature in [6:57] Harendar was redesigned. A bunch of [6:59] different one-time and weekly quests had [7:02] their experience rewards massively [7:03] increased. Some leveling up alts is [7:05] going to be much faster. Void assaults [7:07] actually had their rewards increased by [7:09] quite a bit. And there were a few [7:11] updates to the user interface as well. [7:13] But if you want to ignore all of that [7:15] and just go back to working on your end [7:16] of season goals, spam running mythic [7:18] plus dungeons or securing those last few [7:21] raid boss kills, you do you. [7:25] Now, if you're wondering where the [7:26] Turbulent Timewaves event is and how you [7:28] can get the big experience buff or jump [7:30] into some time walking dungeons, that [7:33] won't actually be available for another [7:35] 2 weeks. The Turbulent Timeways event [7:37] starts up on June 30th, so we do have a [7:40] little bit to wait until that becomes [7:42] active. With that being the case, it may [7:44] be worth waiting on leveling up any of [7:46] your alts so you can take advantage of [7:48] the shiny 30% bonus experience gains, [7:51] but that should give you plenty of time [7:53] to explore the other patch content [7:55] before spamming your time dungeons to [7:57] level up your alts and earn the shiny [7:59] new rewards. [8:01] The same goes for the new story chapters [8:03] that set the stage for patch 12.1. We'll [8:06] have to wait a bit longer for these ones [8:08] as they aren't available until July 7th. [8:11] So after July 7th rolls around, you [8:14] should be able to pick up a new main [8:15] story quest from Orwena in the middle of [8:18] Silver Moon. So keep your eyes peeled [8:20] for that. But that's what we would [8:22] recommend doing first in patch 1207, [8:24] depending on your goals and overall [8:26] objectives for the rest of the season. [8:29] So that's it for this video.
