What's up everybody? Damon here and for
today's daily fix, we have seven burning
questions about the GTA 6 pre-orders and
a free new suit for Spider-Man 2. This
is your daily fix.
Presented by Universal Orlando Resort in
its newest theme park, Universal Epic
Universe.
GTA 6 is coming. Rockstar has confirmed
that pre-orders go live on June 25th,
which means we're just a week away from
finally getting some meaningful answers
on what to expect when the most
anticipated video game of all time
arrives this November. Once pre-orders
open, we can expect to get answers for
some of the biggest questions from not
just fans, but the entire video game
industry. With GTA 6, Rockstar has
perhaps the biggest entertainment launch
ever on its hands. This is a huge moment
for the industry. What Rockstar and
parent company Take 2 do in November
could be a reset moment for video games
and setting up rival publishers to
follow suit. Here are seven burning
questions for the pre-order reveal.
First, what is the price? This has to be
the biggest unanswered question. Will
Rockstar stick with $70 or will it go
higher? Some analysts have suggested a
$100 price point isn't out of the
question. Either way, what Rockstar does
here will set a new standard for the
industry. It's hard to see any publisher
getting away with charging $80 for a
video game if GTA 6 costs 70. Similarly,
if GTA 6 goes to 80, 90, or even higher,
you can bet other publishers will follow
Rockstar's lead. Second, what are the
different editions available? In
addition to a standard edition for GTA
6, will Rockstar release a fancy
physical collector's edition? And if
there are various editions, how much
will they cost? And what extras will
they include? Third, GTA 6 is coming out
on PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X, and
Series S only. So, what frame rate and
resolution can we expect for each
version? The game will run best on PS5
Pro, you'd imagine, but at what frame
rate? Is GTA 6 30 FPS across all
platforms? How will it hold up on the
weakest console performance-wise, the
Xbox Series S? Hopefully, we get some
answers next week. Four, when will the
third trailer be released? With
pre-orders going live, you'd like to
think a new GTA 6 trailer might be
released. Perhaps Rockstar doesn't need
to release a new trailer, considering
the hype for the game, but fingers
crossed for more than just a new
animated image. Five, what will GTA 6
include? Will it include any bonus modes
beyond the story? And what about
multiplayer? Will GTA 6 launch with a
new version of GTA Online, or will that
come later? Can we transfer our progress
from the current online experience to
the new one? Will there be a season
pass, a battle pass? With pre-orders
going live? Surely, answers are coming.
Number six, will GTA 6 receive story
mode DLC? Fans desperately wanted story
DLC for GTA 5, but it didn't happen.
This is a huge question fans have that
will hopefully be answered if future DLC
is included in a special edition. And
finally, what about that PC version? We
all know GTA 6 will eventually launch on
PC, so the question is more a case of
when, not if. We have exactly one week
to go before GTA 6 pre-orders go live
and we finally get some answers. Moving
on, Spider-Man 2 is adding content for
the first time in years and it's
completely free. Insomniac Games
confirmed that players will get free
access to the new suit from Spider-Man
Brand New Day starting July 28th. The
suit seems to be a revised version of
the one from No Way Home, which was an
amalgamation of the suits worn by Tommy
Magcguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom
Holland. Spider-Man 2 was released back
in 2023. Insomniac has already confirmed
that Spidey will not appear in Wolverine
later this year, but it's expected that
the studio may already be working on
another Spider-Man game as we speak.
It's unclear if Insomniac Games has any
more plans to update Spider-Man 2. The
game famously had no DLC unlike its
predecessor. There's a chance that the
release of Beyond the Spider-Verse next
summer could add more suits to the game,
but we'll just have to wait and see. And
that is your daily fix for Thursday,
June 18th. It's time for a brand new
