Again, on behalf of Entrepreneur Media, thanks for being here. Today's workshop, get big marketing results with a low budget. So let's into it a bit and give you all the things you need to know to help take your business to the next level and by the way if you have questions you have answers you have suggestions whichever platform you're watching this in feel free to use the chat on that platform and most likely I will see that and I'll get to your answer get to your question right away or we'll save it to the end but feel free to be as engaging and as interactive as you can whether you're watching this live by the way or you're watching this online on demand. We're glad you're here today. So let me dive into a few of these points by telling you a story. And the story is this. The story is not a new story. It's a story that you've probably heard dozens and dozens and zillions of times, but it's about the big company against the little company. Maybe some of you may refer to it as David and Goliath. You have the big company that's around all of us entrepreneurs, around all of us small business owners, the They have a bigger company. They have a lot of money. They have big budgets. They have a lot of staff. They have a lot of resources. They have a lot of people. They got big, big, big, big, big, big everything. And that's great. But that's not the case for many small business owners. Not the case for me. Maybe not the case for you, us smaller businesses with smaller budgets, with smaller resources. How do we compete? How do we get to the next level? What do we do? Well, today's webinar, today's free training is going to unpack that for you. many of you may be asking yourself, Ramon, well, who are you and who are you to help us understand that and do that? Well, I'll tell you a little bit about me. I'm a five-time entrepreneur, started five companies, sold three companies, authored a number of books. My latest book is called Celebrity CEO. It's right on the shelf behind me and my specialty over the years. For me, and what I've taught thousands and thousands of other entrepreneurs including on platforms like you're here today with entrepreneur media is really to help you understand because I've done it how you could have a low budget or even a zero budget low little amount of money or no money and how you can still get big marketing results whether you're an accounting firm a law firm a marketing agency maybe your dog walking service a lawn care service any number of things you are this is what today's workshop is about by the way if you can hear the sound of my voice again whether you're live or on demand in the chat now tell us a bit who You can put your name and maybe what you do, maybe what city you're from, just so we can get to know you and know who you are, so we can talk, as it were, not face-to-face, but human-to-human. And I'll just say right up the top door, top Doris, welcome. Glad you're here and so many others who are joining us today. So let me dive right into the points of how you can get big results on a low budget. Number one, before I step into the tips and the insights and strategies, and I'm going to drop a lot on you today, but I'm Before I can get into the quick tips, the things Ramon, tell us all the juicy little hacks you uncovered. Tell us all the secrets. I'm going to get there. But I want to start off by three or four key points, which is focused on attention, education, and then the sale. I want to spend a little bit of time today that we have together going through that. And I'm going to say that again because it's going to be important to today's training. And that's how do you get attention, how do you build trust, and how do you Generate a sale so talking about the aspect of attention. That's important You're here today because we got your attention so many entrepreneurs so many small business owners there want to get the sale first they want to get trust first, but They can't get the sale because nobody trusts them and nobody trusts them because nobody knows who they are It's like the proverbial joke or metaphor says, if a tree falls in the forest, will anybody hear it? Well, no, nobody will hear it if nobody's there to hear it. So we want to help you unpack that today and help you understand that. So number one is, how do you get attention for your business? Visibility, visibility, the fact that we want you to be seen is more important oftentimes than perfection. One of the things that stop people from getting ahead They're waiting for perfect, as my friend Seth Godin talks about, he's the OG of marketing. He says, when is it your turn and he says, always your turn. So stop waiting for perfection. Sometimes you just have to launch. So that's number one is we're on this visibility. How do I get attention? Stop waiting for the perfect logo, waiting for the perfect color, waiting for the perfect website, waiting for the perfect, perfect, perfect, because perfection isn't overcoming. She's never there, by the way. So sometimes you just have to push out and you just have to launch. And instead of waiting for perfection, as you're on this journey of getting attention for your business, may I encourage you to think of two things. And one is may I encourage you to be more consistent and may I remind you that first of all repetition builds familiarity. So as we look to get attention, hey, hey, how do I get people to know who I am? May I encourage you first do your social media post. May I encourage you first go live on video. May I encourage you first hand out your business cards, put together a good website just for see, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Just first seek justice. First, seek to get attention for your brand so people know who you are. Greetings from our friends in Monterrey, Mexico. Hola, me llamo Ramon D'Arelio. Peri una hablanada espanol. Hola, glad we have friends here from all over the world. We have I design Workplace Celebrations. Doris is here. We got Chris here. We run Reforestation, Ocean Trash Collection, and more. Love it. We have a variety of people here. So whether you're doing Reforestation, whether you're doing Workplace Celebrations, or you're all the way from Mexico, Mexico, you must do what you can to pay attention for your business. Second, number one, yes, we're going to get into the low budget marketing tips to make a bigger impact, but I want you to first understand, do I even have attention for my business? And as we talk about attention for your business, it's very important also that you consider, do you have the attention of the right customer? Not just the attention of everybody, but understanding who's my customer? What are my customers' needs? Where is my customer at? And I don't just want you to think about the demographics as you're seeking to get the attention. Not a sale yet, not trust yet, just to get the attention. Using the levers of social media, using levers of speaking out in public, using levers of doing your own webinar and training as we're doing today. Focus on who's your right customer because you don't want to get the attention of everybody. You want to get the attention of just the right people you can serve. So the demographics are important. What's their age? What's their income? What's their geography? Are they in Mexico? Are they in Dallas? Are they in Australia? Are they in the USA? Wherever they may be. And what's their psychographics as well? What are their fears? What are their desires? What are their identity? Maybe they're two different people. One's from Ireland and one's from, I don't know, Ireland and one's from South Africa. You'd think two different people, but maybe they have a common bond around America. soccer or football. These are things that are so important to consider as you're on that journey. Good to see you, Chris Cushing. Good to see you, Molly. Good to see you, Fernando. Good to see you all showing up and showing out for today's webinar. Glad you're here today. We even have somebody here from Malaysia. This is great. We have a global audience from Malaysia to Mexico. This is wonderful. So I want you to think we're on this rubric up first as you're thinking of low cost marketing, how to make a bigger impact, how to get attention. And as you're thinking of attention, I want you to think of how to get the attention of the right customer. This is important. It's not just everybody you want, but it's getting attention to the right company. And as we're talking about attention, two of the things I would ask you to consider. Every small business owner should think like a media company. We have our friends who are doing deforestation, excuse me, reforestation, reforestation, clearing the ocean of trash. We have Doris here who's doing workplace celebrations. We have people from all over, different types of businesses. But I would like you to think about also, everybody should think like a media company. What webinars are you doing? What training are you doing? What social media are you posting? What things are you offering to the audience like a media company because the customers you seek They also want to consume and understand you as well. It's beyond the sale. So the other rubric moving to number two, as we think of how to have a low cost marketing, low budget marketing to make a big impact, we're setting the foundation first. You must get attention and get attention to the right customer and some low cost ways, by the way, to get attention, post on LinkedIn. have a good email newsletter, do short form video, do live streaming, go out and networking at events. And I'm gonna dive into these things more in a bit. Number two, again on this rubric, just a few short things that I'm gonna dive into more tactical things of low cost marketing tips is building trust. Trust is so important because as you build trust, this means you've earned the right to get the sale. And one of the big words I want you all to remember, one of the big words I want you to all take away today is the power of education. As you educate people, it builds confidence. I've been here with Entrepreneur giving several webinars here and more. You can even see my articles that I write on entrepreneur.com. That builds trust with many of you. I'm educating you today, but in a way, aren't I also building trust. Sydney says that's when I want to start my business. I love it. Doris is here. I really like that. Think like a media company. Love that. Chris is saying what are your customers pain points? Exactly. I'm glad this is resonating with you all. This is wonderful. So the second aspect we're talking about here as we move along is the power of building trust and the way that one of the best ways to build trust is to educate. Educate, educate, educate. I want you to think. When's the last time we put helpful content out there, not just ask for the sale? When's the last time we've taught people something of value, not just ask for the sale? Understanding that one of the best customers you can have is a customer who's buying from you because they're confident, a customer who's buying from you because they trust, a customer who's buying from you because they've seen some of the answers you've given publicly on a variety of platforms. We're doing this in a way today. And part of the thing you can do, it's something that everybody has no matter how much AI grows, and I can talk about AI all day, is the power of human connectivity. Yes, AI and all the tools are out there, but one of the biggest champions you have for your business is you, is you. You're one of the biggest champions you can have. Human connections, this is what it's about. We have a lot of content, a lot of things we do at Entrepreneur, but part of the power, what we're doing as well, is bringing human talent, bringing humans, people like me, and the team even behind this to the front to help educate you and help you build a better business. This is what we're doing. So number one, we talked about awareness. Number two, we're on this rubric of everything you can do to build trust. And part of building trust is to be an education aficionado, frequently communicating, using email to nurture relationships, staying visible so you build trust over and over and over again. Some of you see my daily show, The Rundown with Ramon show. Some of you see that I'm showing up here all the time. The trust is being built. And do understand this. Do understand that trust does take time. Trust is not built overnight. It takes time. Number three, and then we're gonna switch gears and dive into some more things, but number three, I want you to realize now the part is with sales because we all want sales. But I wanted to understand that as you're diving into the rubric of low cost marketing to make a big impact, you have to generate awareness. After you generate awareness, you have to build trust and part of that trust is with education. And number three, now you've earned the right to generate a sales. And I'm not gonna give a whole sales clinic on sales today, But this is the path now that you've built awareness, now that you've built trust, you've earned the sale and now you can do a clear call to action. Now that people trust you, you have the right to say, hey, if you like this, if you trust me, do you wanna take a further step with me? If you like me, if we've educated you, if we've shown you a little bit of value, now you can go to the next step with me now that I've showed you value. You can convert visibility into revenue. This is the power of what you can do, converting visibility into revenue, asking for the sale. I'm gonna ask you, I'll show you right now. Do you feel I've shown you value? Do you feel you've gotten some, even just the 15 minutes we've been here together? If you have, I have a free resource for you. I'm not selling you anything, I have a free resource for you. If you go to growyoursolo.com, and I hope that link works, you can put test www or test https but the key is grow your solo dot com free resource free resource where a lot of this information I unpack in fact a lot of it's in this little booklet here that's what you'll find at that resource I have an audio booklet PDF worksheet and more you can just go to grow your solo dot com and download that this is exactly what you should do with your customers I've offered value and I'm saying hey do you want to join me on the journey do you want more from Ramon an entrepreneur Here's a free resource. Many of you are like, Ramon, yeah. How do I take my business to the next level? And whether you're a solo business or not, this resource will help you. Doris is like, absolutely. And again, growyoursolo.com. You can check that free resource out. So let's move on to a few other things as we dive into kind of a phase two of what are some low cost marketing tactics we can do to have a big impact. This is the next journey. This is the next chapter of what I wanna bring to you. And part of this next phase is, this next step is pricing. Because we're talking about low-cost marketing, but here's one thing I do not want you to confuse. I do not want you to mix up. And I don't want you to think, because we're talking about some low-cost marketing tips, which we'll dive into a bit more, because we're diving into low-cost marketing tips, I don't want you to think we're talking about that you have to be selling cheap. That's not what we mean. So here's where this goes is to pricing. My encouragement to you all, do not sell cheap. Don't sell cheap. Many of you have a challenge with selling premium products to premium customers so you can pay yourself well, so you can give back to community, so you can hire a team. One of the big Achilles heel that's stopping you from getting to the next level is you are selling too cheap. Put that in the comments, put that in the chat, write that to yourself. Stop selling too cheap. Now there are seasons when you may want to adjust your price. There are seasons when you may want to work at a deal. There are seasons I've done it many times and I'll do it all day. I may say, hey, let me do it at this price because I want to work with this person. There's more here. Or they simply don't have the budget and I decide I want to work with them. That's fair. But as you get to the next level in your business, I want you to stop trying to compete with Amazon and Walmart and Target and all the big brands. And instead, as Seth Godin would say, my mentor, find the people instead who you can serve. Find the people who appreciate what you're offering at a quote unquote premium price. This doesn't mean it has to be expensive, but I want you to stop selling cheap. Just because it's low cost marketing, just because you're spending a little bit on it, doesn't mean you have to price yourself cheap. Because if you're selling too cheap, let me tell you what this means. This means you're not making enough to pay yourself. This means you're not making enough to maybe hire one or two or more staff members to help you. This means that you are not making enough to give back to your community. This is what this means. Stop selling so cheap. And I encourage you to, first of all, find customers who value what you offer and you can sell a premium or competitively priced product to the right customer. That's how you build a profitable business. All right, now we're going to move forward to some power tools, some power tools I want you to access. I want you to understand that will now, I'm getting into the direct tips on now we can open up the box a bit more. Hey, Ramon, here's some, or hey, audience, here's some low cost marketing or free things you can do that will make a bigger impact. Here's some things you can do. I love this. Leslie's echoing this here. Some of the women I've worked with don't understand their value. Leslie, you're right. And many happen to be women who struggle with this, Leslie, you pointed out, but men as well. They think, uh-oh, the customer won't buy from me. This is a T-shirt that could sell for $49, but since they don't have the money, let me sell it for $35. And since I know they don't have the money, let me maybe reduce it by half and sell it for $15. Oh, and they're nice. Let me sell it for $10. Now, every T-shirt you're selling, you're losing money on. Leslie, thanks for being here. Doris, thanks for being here. Chris and others who are here and joining us, thank you for being here, whether you're live or on demand. Thank you for joining us in the Entrepreneur webinar. And I hope you got that resource at growyoursolo.com, growyoursolo.com. Download those resources. I see many of you, I'm looking right now, are downloading it successfully. I love that. And if there's any way I can help you, any way Entrepreneur can help you, just reply to the email. It's me, and I'll reply. Human Connections, okay? So moving forward. The biggest thing you can do That's the lowest cost marketing you can do is the power of follow up. Follow up, follow up, follow up. Understand that one of the most reasons people don't buy from you, assuming you've identified them as the right customer, assuming you've educated them and built trust, and for sure you've already then had to generate attention is follow up. Remember that customers easily forget. People get distracted. You're not their priority. excuse me, understand that most sales take multiple touch points. It's often not the first time. Why do you think they have that age-old American classic jingle? The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup. Why? Why do they have that jingle? Because it sticks. They do it over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and over again. Because follow-up works. Now when you follow up, it doesn't have to be annoying. You don't have to bother people, but in your follow-up sequence, whether by sequence, whether by phone, by text, automation, as you're following up, be helpful. Don't be pushy. Provide value in your follow-up. Check in consistently. Follow-up can feel relational. Build familiarity over time. This is the power of follow-up. And of course, follow-up can also be automated. using CRM tools, using marketing automation, email nurture campaigns, event follow-up, capturing emails everywhere you go. Follow-up is one of the biggest ways you can build a successful business. And yes, the fortune is in the follow-up. It's not just a saying, it's a real thing. Follow-up, follow-up, follow-up. Now I'm going to turn the proverbial page here. I'm gonna dive over the next bit of time here. By the way, if you have questions for me, specific questions for me about your business, for specific questions for you about anything I'm saying here, any, could be what we're talking about today or anything. You're talking to a guy again who started five companies, sold three companies, authored five books. I want to get more from Entrepreneur. I want to work with you more, Ramon. I invite you to join me in what I have, Office Hours. We got some questions coming already. So here I am and I'm gonna answer these questions. Love that question about self-promotion. Chris, I will get to that shortly. Love it. So here we go. As we turn the page, I'm gonna dive, not dive deep, I'm gonna drop science on a few tactical things now that you've earned it. You know about awareness, you know about trust, you know about sales. We've talked about identifying the right customer. Now we're turning the page till we talked about follow-up. What are some basic things you can do? Some of these things you will know. Some of these things could be new. Some of these things you could have heard in a different way and I suspect for most of you, you've heard these before but hopefully what I'm sharing today is in a different way. And again, as you have questions, feel free to put the questions in. I'm going to look at these questions and I'll follow up with them shortly. You are so welcome. I'm glad you're learning. Glad you're here. And big thanks to Arnav. Big, big thanks to the team behind here, Arnav and McKenzie. Thank them as well for making today possible. So one, let's focus on the basics. Yeah, I can hear you saying, remember, we want to learn about AI. Remember, we want to learn about cool tools. Well, I'm not going to tell you the cool tools today. I mean, I will tell you, but not yet. First, I want to focus on the basics, the most basic thing you can do, the low cost marketing thing you can do that I bet half of you are not even doing yet. One, do you have a website? If you have a website, is your website good? If you know your website's not good, you can confess right now, put in the chat, website not good. And we won't laugh at you, we'll huddle around you with care and encourage you to do better. And again, those of you who downloaded the guide, those of you who are part of Ramon Office Hours, we can go through this in detail to help you get a better website. But that's one. Do you have a good website? Is it clear? Is it mobile ready? Is it mobile friendly? You'd be surprised how many websites even today in this modern age are not good. Does the website have clear messaging? Another low cost thing you can do. Are you active? Active the right way? enough using social media? And I can give a whole clinic on social media. I'm not. But are you using LinkedIn? Are you using TikTok? Are you using Reels? Are you doing stories? Are you posting? Are you posting on a consistent basis? Are you just posting silly cat videos or things that turn the dial for your business? Are you leveraging social media like you should be, Raphael? Are you leveraging like you should, LaShawn, Chris, and others who are joining us live? Are you? Social media is powerful, but many of you are not leveraging it. Well, I'll give you one small hack, a specific hack. I recently started using the video editing tool called Edits. And there's so many out there. There's CapCut, there's Opus Clips, so many out there. But I've used the one Edits. It is an amazing mobile app for your phone. I get nothing from it. I don't get affiliate from it. It's not my company. It's nothing to do with me. It's by Instagram. But I started using it. One of my friends, Nikki Saunders, she started telling me about it and said, Ramon, it will help increase your reach on Instagram. I don't know if it's true or not, but my reach has grown. So that's one quick hack, low cost, using edits by Instagram, edits by Instagram. So do you have a website? Does the website have clear messaging? Are you being active on social media? Number three, low cost marketing. How many of you are focused on building a good email list? Many of you are all focused on social media, all focused on the TikTok and the Reels, and I just said do it, you should. But I do not want you to also forget about using a good email list, collecting emails, and serving your audience. This is what we teach when I do mastermind and coaching. And I hope many of you are looking at that. Those of you saying, Ramon, I want to work with you, check it out. RamonOfficeHours.com. RamonOfficeHours.com. Check that out. It's an asset. It's a resource. One month for free. But you're looking for help. We're giving you help right now. So this is the kind of thing we talk about. Yes, we talk about advance, but we also hone in on the basics. Another thing I wanna tell you is we're talking about the foundational basics, and I'm gonna increasingly get it a little more difficult here, but these are the basics. How many of you are leveraging the power of CRM, Customer Relationship Marketing, fancy word CRM, and Marketing Automation? How many of you are using an AWeber, a HubSpot, a Keep, a Thrive, any one of these types of tools that help you automate your marketing and or tied to doing CRM, where you can have a database of your customers and nurture them and market to them on a consistent basis. Wix does this, Thrive does this, Squarespace may do this, other tools like that, so many out there. Which tool you use, I don't really care. The key is I want you to use a tool. This is where many of you are stumbling, many of you are not doing so well at, I want you to use a tool. So these are the foundational elements. I wanna jump ahead to kind of a middle of the road here. We have more to go. In fact, I'm gonna pause here and get to the question that was asked today here. I saw that question come in. I'll touch on this right now from Chris. Chris asked about the power of self-promotion. If you have a question come in, by the way, if you have a question, let me know and I'll answer it on the spot live. But I got more to share with you. But I saw your question, Chris, and I loved it. Here's a little nugget of the power of self-promotion. The only person that is going to promote you the most is you. Self-promotion is amazing because the power of self-promotion is self-promotion enables the people who see you, the market who sees you, your current customers or your future customers, they want to work with winners. Nobody wakes up and says, I wanna work with a loser, nobody. Why do I wanna work with entrepreneur? Entrepreneur media is a winner leading small business entrepreneurial publication in the world. Hopefully I've done something right there like, Ramon, we wanna work with you. Winners wanna work with winners. So as you're self-promoting, as you're telegraphing what you're doing, as you're telling the market what you're doing, you're showcasing I'm all that in a bag of chips in a good way, in a nice way, in an ethical way, in a humble way hopefully, but you're showing the market that you're a winner because people want to work with winners. This is the power of self-promotion. I did this today, told people, hey, join me live on the Entrepreneur Webinar. Hey, I'll be hosting this event, I'll be hosting that event. I frequently, those of you who follow me, see me promoting myself, not in an arrogant way, not in a negative way, but because I want the market to see what the brand Ramon Ray is doing. So the art of self-promotion is absolutely powerful, and more and more of you need to do that. Too many people are nervous, are scared about self-promotion. They think it's a bad thing, how they grew up, how they've been taught, what their mama told them, the daddy told them, children should be seen and not heard, whatever, all these things that come from our childhood But we talk about this in the free download, Grow Your Solo. I encourage you to check that out, growyoursolo.com. If you haven't downloaded it yet, I can see many people are downloading it already. This is what it takes, the art of self-promotion. So thank you for that question. Self-promotion is so important, one of the simplest things you can do. I love it, LaShawn's like, I'm taking notes. Come on LaShawn, let's go. And tag Entrepreneur, tag them on Instagram. You can take a selfie and say thanks to Entrepreneur for bringing great resources like this. They do a lot of good work. So let me go back to some notes here. But to continue, if you have questions coming in, feel free to pour them in. So now we're gonna get to kind of section two of this. content and visibility strategies, low cost content and visibility strategies that can help you. These are things I do, I'm telling you things that work. This doesn't mean you have to do all of them, but I do suggest you look at two or three things that you like to do, that you can do, or you can have a team help you with, and that you can lean in on and do consistently. One is the power of live streaming. We're doing it right now. There's something about something going live, doesn't mean you can't do on demand, but for me, my energy, I like live, I get excited knowing it's live, knowing something could go wrong, knowing I gotta watch what I say, knowing am I serving the audience. I get energy from you all commenting and chatting. Just knowing it's live excites me. I could do it on demand, but just knowing that light's on and somebody right there is watching me, it excites me. So live video and also when you schedule a live, It goes out like seeds and it's on all of your platforms who subscribe to us, who subscribe to Entrepreneur. It puts a notification in your feed. That's free marketing, people. Even if you don't sign up, by the way, even if you don't go live with us, guess what? You've seen the name. You've seen Entrepreneur. You've seen Ramon Ray. You've seen the brand. That in itself is a win. This is the power of this. Free marketing, just going live. I go live just about every single day at 7 a.m. My own show, The Run Now with Ramon. Many of you see it. Entrepreneur has live content, they do. Others have live content. There's something about live that is powerful. And this will probably be archived. You can see it anytime, see it afterward on demand. But there's something about live that's important. So going live, live streaming is important. Moving forward. the power of podcasting. Some of you know you should be podcasting. Podcasting is powerful. It's a way to bring people to you who normally maybe they wouldn't speak to you. Now, you've got to bring it. You've got to have a little bit of professionalism, a good background, as I hope I have, good lighting, as I hope I have, good microphones, you have good audio, as I hope I have, got to clean up, as I hope I'm doing. I put a nice little shirt here for y'all, right? So podcasting, whether it's audio or video, and I suggest both, is powerful. I use Spotify, but there's many good podcasting platforms that you can use. If you need help with that, just email me. Once you download Grow Your Solo, you can just reply back and ask me questions or ask me questions right here. So podcasting is another low-cost way to extend your brand. And I wouldn't go around saying, I'm a podcaster. You could say that. That's not really a title. We're all podcasters, as it were, today. But it's a great way to build an audience, and it's a great way to do something once and have it multiple uses. You do your podcast. From your podcast, you can make a reel. Do your podcast. From your podcast, you can make a blog post. Do a podcast. From your podcast, you can make a tweet. Do a podcast. From your podcast, you can make a download lead magnet. Do a podcast. From your podcast, you can... You can do so much just for one asset. So podcasting is a powerful way to do low-cost marketing with a big brand. Are you repurposing the content you already have out there? Are you repurposing it? What about short-form video? So many things you can do with the power of video and content and visibility strategies. These are low-cost things every small business, every entrepreneur can do. This is important. And if you're not doing these basic things, the least things, you're trying to go to 12th grade, you're trying to get a master's, you're trying to go to a PhD in low-cost marketing, and you're not doing these basics, shame on you. I said it. Shame on you. These are things everybody can do. And I hope this is resonating with you. I hope you're telling others about what the good webinars that Entrepreneur does. I hope you're telling others and I hope you take action. And as I'm sharing this today, what I wanna know is, and you can tell me afterwards, put it in the chat, what is the action that you're gonna be taking today? What's the action you'll be taking tomorrow? What's the action you'll be taking in the next two to three days from what you've heard today? Because the worst thing to do is to show up and not take action. Glad you're here, but I also want you to take action. So we're gonna go to another bucket of low cost things you can do that can make a big impact in your business. What about strategic partnerships? I go to LaShawn, LaShawn comes to me, or I go to Chris Cushing, Chris Cushing comes to me, and we say, hey, listen, we have audiences that overlap. We have audiences that are complementary. Can we work together in some way and build each other up? That's a strategic partnership. This is powerful. Working together for a common interest to build each other up. Why not do a strategic partnership? This is how you build your business. Again, what are we talking about? Low-cost marketing strategies that get big results with a small budget. And you know, this doesn't mean I'm gonna go to Oprah. Oprah got millions and gazillions of followers. Now maybe I could. She may have a certain need that she has and she sees something in me and says, wow, even though I have a big platform, I could use some of Ramon's energy. I could use some of Ramon's mojo. So it's doable. But as you're starting out, you kind of want to work some paddico if you can. So what are some strategic relationships, some people who you know, they're right in front of your door, they're right near you, things you could consider doing, low cost, just by reaching out and touching and asking for help, asking for the connection. And I love what you're saying here, LaShawn, need to do a podcast. So many LaShawn are not doing a podcast and it's one of the simplest things to do, just waking up and once a week, probably daily is too tough, but once a week, just interviewing somebody, Once a week, have somebody interviewing you. Once a week, just sharing short-form content. That could be podcasts. LaShawn, I'm telling you, podcasting is underrated. And everybody doesn't have to be the Joe Rogan or Call Me Daddy, whoever, you know, the famous big, big, big podcasters of the day. You can start now. As my friend Justin Conicle says, I do not want you all to keep saying one day, one day, one day, one day, one day. No. What I want you to do is say today is day one. Today I'm going to start. Some of you need mentorship. Some of you need coaching. Some of you, that's what you need. You've been resistant. You know you need to get to the next level, but you need somebody to help you. I invite you, come into my office. Come into my office and let me help you. Ramon Office Hours. RamonOfficeHours.com. Join us. One month for free. Low risk. See how it is, test it, and let me know you joined because of entrepreneur, that I wanna join, no. Who's gonna take the steps that needs to take your business to the next level? Check us out at RamonOfficeHours.com, RamonOfficeHours.com. And I hope you're getting, in fact, I know you're getting value, I'm not gonna even ask, I know you're getting value, the question is, What will you take to the next steps? Referral strategies. Do you ask people to refer business to you? Just make the ask. And remember, remember, people are going to forget. So you've got to do it consistent. Are you having a referral strategy? My friend John Janz of Duct Tape Marketing, his book, Referral Engine. Check it out. The Referral Engine. Good book all about referrals. These are simple things you can do. Low cost things you can do. Let me give you a secret, a power tip here. Stop. Stop, everybody. Stop. Stop. looking for the person who can pay you money. Stop only looking for them. But I also want you to look at the person who knows the person you need. You feel me? Doris knows me. Maybe I won't pay Doris nothing and Doris will pay me nothing. That's okay. But maybe I know the person that Doris needs and Doris knows me. Did she make the ask? My friend Adrian Miller said that to me, taught me that some years ago. It's not just who you know, it's who you Do you know that knows who you need to know? That's where it gets interesting, everybody. So I want you to keep this in mind. And I love that LaShawn's saying she needs to do podcasting. I love it. Podcasting is underrated. And again, as you all are, even afterwards, I want you to DM me. I want you to post me on social media. Let me know. And I want you to know, Ramon, because I listened to your webinar today, because I saw you an entrepreneur, Ramon, I'm starting today is going to be day one. of when I'm doing it, not one day. So referral partnerships or strategies. What about community involvement? Do you know there's so many ways and so many things you can get off by just being in your community? Do you know I got a deal with a billion dollar brand? Didn't get a billion dollars, but I have a relationship, put it that way, with a billion dollar brand just because I showed up at my local chamber meeting. That's it. I just showed up low cost way. I paid nothing. Maybe I paid $150 a year, maybe, but that's low cost people. I just showed up, I added value. I was in the room, made contacts, sounded smart, am smart, made a connection. Next thing you know, networked. She connected me to somebody else. Somebody else connected me to somebody else and boom, shakalaka, there it is. These are simple things you can do to make a difference in your business, people. It doesn't have to take a lot of money. It takes strategy. This is what you need to do. I invite you all. I said it. I'm going to say it a few more times. Those of you who want more of this, two things. One, join me in a Ramon office hours. I want to see you there. RamonOfficeHours.com, RamonOfficeHours.com in partnership with Entrepreneur. We want to build this all over the country. Join me there. Number two, download the free guide, Grow Your Solo. But I don't want you to stop there. That's not enough. There's free content everywhere. What I want you to do is go higher level and join me in office hours, Ramon Office Hours. So networking intentionally, I've seen some people do some of the worst networking ever. Pardon me for sniffling so much, allergies and all kinds of things. But they just do what? Hey, here's my business card. You didn't even say hi. I don't even know who you are. You don't even have good breath. And you handed me your business card. Stop. Get to know people. Learn how to strategically network. Networking doesn't take a lot. It takes some time. Got to get on the train. Got to get in the car. But networking can pay great results when you network intentionally and you network strategically. What about hosting your own events or masterminds? When the last time you found an office space, co-working space, Regis space, WeWork space, so many spaces, DaVinci offices, you can just Google it. Got a little office, paid $50 an hour, $100, whatever it may be for the room, brought people together in a small group and said, join us. brought people together. That's networking, that's low cost marketing that can make a big impact when combined with all the things we talk today, when combined with the things we're teaching today about being strategic, combined with the things we're talking today to be human, combined with the things we're talking today that show up consistently day in and day out every Thursday at 3 p.m. You're there in the office and people know it. Come on, Doors, you know what I'm saying. This is the key to take your business to the next world. level, low cost marketing. This is what it takes. Gonna move in kind of to a third rubric, a third rubric of some more low cost marketing tips that can make a big impact in your business. And again, we'll close here in the next, I don't know, 10 minutes or so. And if you have questions you wanna get in before we wrap this up, feel free to let me know. But again, on behalf of Entrepreneur, we're so glad you're here. We do these things for you to educate you And we're so glad, Entrepreneur has gazillions of followers and customers, so glad that you all said yes, spending your time here today live. And those of you who spend time on demand, we're glad you're here. Appreciate you so much. So let's go on. All right, keep moving on. Again, if you have any questions, get those questions in before we wrap up. Smart marketing also takes mindset. It's not just about the specific tips or the strategy, the tactics, those we can do. We've talked about some, but I'm turning the dial now to a few other ways you can do it. I want to remind you one, it's the power of just being consistent. One of the number one ways some of your marketing is not as good as it should be is your marketing is not consistent. It's not consistent. It's up one day, down the next day. How to solve that? Maybe you need an operations manager. Maybe you need a virtual assistant. Maybe you need automation. Many things you can do. Again, we talk about this in Ramon Office Hours. Join me in coaching. Join me for mentorship. Let me help you unpack these areas where you're stuck at. Free for a month. Try it out and test it. Partnership with Entrepreneur. RamonOfficeHours.com. Join me there. You can get these things unpacked, but it's a mindset. So consistency over perfection. Second thing, Simon Sinek has said this over and over again. Another friend of mine, Lamar Tyler, says this. Y'all playing checkers. I've been accused of playing checkers sometime, and everybody else is playing chess. You wonder why you're not moving forward. You wonder why. Come on, Chris, you know how it is. Consistency is key. Probably because you're playing the wrong game. Simon Sinek himself said it. The start with why guy. But I encourage you, change your mindset. And think in the long term. Think more strategically. Number three, instead of focusing on the hype, focus on being helpful. Focus on adding value. Me being here today, sure, I've given you a free resource, Grow Your Solo. Sure, I'm inviting you in Ramon Office Hours to get coaching for me, to get mastermind with me, to let me help you build your business. Sure, sure. But hopefully I've been helpful. Hopefully I'm giving you so much value, so many tips. You're like, wow, this is amazing. Thank you, entrepreneur, for bringing Ramon here. Thank you. So being helpful is one of the low cost things you can do. Not being desperate, not begging for the sale. Yes, a clear call to action. This is important. I hope I've demonstrated that today. A clear direction where you want the audience to go. But also you got to be helpful. Not got to be helpful. You got to be helpful. Another part of this is we're talking about strategic ways to build your business is relationships create growth. In the age of AI, TikTok and video and LinkedIn connections, all the things we can do, I'm telling you creating genuine relationships is one of the number one things you can do. To ask people, how are you? Take a pause and say, no, but really, how are you feeling? Yeah, but really, how's your family? Are you okay? Oh, congratulations, you had a newborn. Congratulations, you bought a new house. Congratulations or sorry to hear your mom's not well. Sorry. Sorry to hear your dad maybe recently passed away. Sorry about that. It's to develop real relationships, people. Yes, we need business. We need the bank. We need the money. We need the transaction. Yes, yes and yes. But let's pause and let's also see how can I build a deeper relationship with people. This is powerful. This is the long term. Thank you, Doris, for seeing that. You're generally helpful and is greatly appreciated. I appreciate that. This is how we build powerful businesses. The other part of the mindset is this. Attention plus trust is what creates trust. the sale, we talked about this, but I wanna remind you of this. It's the tactics live video, doing a podcast, having a book, doing your own event, leveraging social media, building email, having marketing automation, low cost things all of us should do and be doing or at least thinking about it, but also a smart mindset and playing chess, not checkers, having a different strategic mindset towards growth. This is what it takes. We've talked today about this attention plus trust equals sales. A few more key things I want to add and then we're going to wrap up. The marketing you're doing, it need not be fancy. I want you to remember this. I want you to write it down and tell it to yourself in a mirror. The marketing you're doing, it does not need to be fancy. Think of Mr. Beast, billions and gazillions of followers, biggest known guy in the world. in marketing awareness or somebody like Gary Vaynerchuk. These guys didn't do anything too complicated. What did they do? They just showed up over and over and over and over and over and over again. This is the name of the game, the winning game. Me on this platform here with a beautiful brand like Entrepreneur. How did I get to be here today? Well, how? I just showed up, showed up, showed up and added value. and somebody sees you, this is part of the way to build a bigger brand, low cost marketing that gets big results. The power of showing up. And your marketing need not be fancy, that's the part I was at, need not be fancy. It can be simple and basic, in fact it should be simple and basic. Going back to Mr. Beast, what did he do? He just made video games all the time. And it got better and better, cooler and cooler, audience grew, people started paying in for this, that, and the other, and it grew. And the next thing you look at Dave Ramsey talks about 24, 25, 30 years later, an overnight success. Another point in this, we're talking about the mindset of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur to build a bigger brand with a low cost budget is now that as you do the basics, you get better and better than at the basics. That's where it gets good. My first book, Maybe it wasn't so great. My first book is back here. I did it about Facebook, right back there. First book I ever did, and I've written five. As I did it better and better and better, maybe I got better at it. Maybe I sold more books. My first live video maybe wasn't the best. Maybe I didn't have the right mic, didn't have the right this. Maybe even today sometimes I could have the wrong mic selected. Maybe something could go wrong here today, but you gotta put one foot forward. And again, I got Seth Godin's book right back there. I think it says something like, what do you do when it's your turn and it's always your turn, talking about not letting perfection stop us. This is the key. So when you combine consistency, when you combine authenticity, and you combine just showing up, and you layer them on top of the three things I said, awareness plus trust equals sales, this is how you grow a business. As we come to an end in about 30 seconds, about a minute or so. I remind you a few things. One, definitely check out growyoursolo.com. Growyoursolo.com. Check that out. But those of you who are saying, Ramon, I want to grow with you. I want to get to the next level with you. Yes, growyoursolo.com. And those of you then say, Ramon, I want to get to the next level. I need more of this, Ramon. I want to grow with you. I invite you to check out ramoneofficehours.com, ramoneofficehours.com. free for a month where I have mentorship and coaching for business owners who are ready to grow. You could be just starting out. Maybe you have a full-time job in a part-time business. This is who it's for. Business experts, business coaches, and more like Ramon. I want to get to the next level. This is what I encourage you to do. Thank you, Chris. And so as I summarize, before I hand it back to the team and we get wrapped this up, reminding you of this. Branding is important. Building a bigger business to the size you want is important. This is the journey I'm on just like you. But on the other hand, it doesn't take a lot of money. It requires knowing who your customers are. It requires being consistent. It requires showing up over and over again, doing the best you can, and then an iterative process learning it over and over and over again as you get better and better. And the next thing you know, you look behind you and you realize your business has gone to the next level. My name is Ramon Ray. I'm so glad you're here today. Get that resource, Grow Your Solo. Get the resource. Check me out on office hours, ramonofficehours.com. And on behalf of Entrepreneur Media, so glad you're here for today's workshop.
