>> Doesn't look that old. Over 30 years, man. I know your holy grail Jeep after >> Oh, yeah. It >> is that right. >> It [music] was the poster that I saw. They had the mud that was cut out in
flames that I saw in a magazine and it said [music] the world's fastest SUV. And I'm going, they're on to something. You had two Jeeps stolen in your life now cuz one recently [laughter] was my 2019. That was my baby. Yeah.
Yeah. >> Oh, man. Good burble to [music] it, man. >> Oh, [music] that's for a different video.
>> Yeah. Well, we can do it tomorrow. But the thing is, I don't need it. It's all yours, [music] man. Merry Christmas. You're my oldest best friend. I didn't your last one. Welcome to Hooie's
in all of YouTube. And it really has been an incredible year. The cars that believe that I had the opportunity to own. But it's also been the most expensive year when it comes to car related repairs, insurance, you name it.
Here in Hooie's Garage, grand total over $250,000 in repairs and insurance and tags and toes. It's been a very expensive year.
that have been the most expensive. I'm going to recap that today. The Hellcat is definitely one of them. But also, this Jeep behind me I am giving to my oldest friend. He had one of these back in high school. Unfortunately, had to
get rid of it. And most recently, he had his Jeep stolen, a modern Wrangler that well, the guy can't go without a Jeep. He's still duking it out with the insurance. And when I saw this very rare 5.9 Limited, which was the fastest
knew I had to buy this for him because the 59 Limiteds were a one-year deal, almost impossible to find in any condition, let alone a one-owner cream and he's just begging for me to sell it to him, but I'm pretending that I want
it for my own collection. So, that'll be fun later in the video. But, let's get to the damage. I've owned my Cadillac XLRV for 6 months now, and it really hits me in the right spot. Not just because of nostalgia since I was a
but also because of the massive depreciation. It absolutely drives like a Cadillac, even though it's on the Corvette chassis. I'm not sure how they of work done on the mechanical bits and cosmetics, it came home running and
things that I did to my XLR is fitting it with these Continental True Contact Tour 54s. And thanks to Connell Tire for sponsoring this video. Designed for passenger cars and crossovers, the Tour 54 is a long lasting all-season touring
tire that is ideal for wet, dry, and light snow conditions. Basically Kansas. Most importantly though, the Tour 54 features Eco+ technology, which range, which I'll take any help I can get with this thirsty V8. Shorter
stopping distances on wet roads and extended tread life. They certainly feel smooth, comfortable, and very confidence inspiring on my ride as well. So treat yourself to some Continental True Contact Tour 54s available in 15 to 20
inch rim diameter size and more information is linked below. Make the smart choice in tires. Yeah, at least $257,399
car that's missing that I know the bill yet. That is the 300 SL Gold Wing. that in the end. But first, I broke down some of the common bills that I have driver. He's made quite a bit of money from me. A total of eight toes this year
totaling $1,450. The 1923 Packard catching fire. The toes in 12 months isn't too bad to be stranded in a car. So, $1,450 there. Insurance for the year with my dealer's license and my car collection. $23,532.
dealer's license, but it saves me a lot when it comes to tags. So, I have my license itself, only $1,800 a year to have my dealer plates to be able to buy and sell cars without paying sales tax, but I do tag some of the cars that are
my normal daily drivers and things. Uh, so total for both of those, $12,194 Veyron, but actually that is not on the list this year. The Bugatti Veyron, I
maintenance or repairs on it. I was able to find Volkswagen parts and fix things repairs there. But I've been getting a lot of DMs lately saying that my car was in the Epstein files, the Veyron in a list of cars that were seized by the
government. But somebody posting pages from the famous Rothstein bankruptcy and the collection of cars that he had in 2010 or so, including my Veyron Epstein never touched my Veyron, thankfully. But as far as the worst cars that I've had
number six on the list is the Chevy Avalanche. I spent $8,027 on an Avalanche with over 300,000 m on it in repairs. Basically, the suspension. Everything was broken on that truck except for the engine and
transmission. And I told the wizard just fix everything. And uh he didn't give me did it and then gave me the bill first $7,700 and then $300 for the fuel gauge after that. So that was that was really really stupid. But I did end up selling
it for $8,000. So, I got the repairs back, but not the three grand that I paid for the truck. So, that was pretty stupid, but not a massive, massive loss. bought from Carvana. And when I got here, it barely ran and drove, had parts
stripped off of it like normal Lancer parts put on it. So, it was a total first round of repair is to get the engine working and the brakes and the suspension, everything right. $3,300 and then $1,800 in parts from J&J
Autorecking to get it up off the ground. Get it mostly stock. And that got it driving down the road. But then it needed a clutch. Another $2,000. And then $1,200 for the Ricaro seats and the wheels. Total $8,46
on that Evo 10. So yeah, $16,500 in that car, but I gave it away in a Fanathon promotion. So the winner of that car, very, very happy with it. Obviously, I spent a bunch of money. Next up is my gated manual Ferrari 599 that I sold
this year to trade in to buy my Mercedes 300 SL going. And that is the most needy car I have probably ever owned. It needed $10,000 a year to keep running consistently for the last 15 years because the service records went back
me or the previous owner, they were spending at least $10,000 to keep that car running. So, yeah, you can buy a 599 for, you know, $1, $150,000, but they are cheap for a reason. It's crazy. You can buy a 360 or 430 and have a much
more rewarding ownership experience. The 599's are the magnetic suspension, the V12 engine, all the parts so unique to that car and so expensive. Uh, so this that car and so expensive. Uh, so this year it was $8,957.86
some electrical issues and adjust the smooth again. So number three is the BMW clown shoe, which makes sense that it was expensive to fix because it was in a flood and a lot had to be replaced.
line because it was saltwater. The alternator, the starter, a bunch of electronic bits, and then the interior, new seats since they were frozen up just ruined a lot of sensors, a lot of buttons, a lot of things. That was
$8,287. Then $1,200 in cosmetics to get things then it did it BMW thing and the radiator blew. So, I was $10,487
$14,000 for it. So, $24,000 into it. Sold it for $19,000. So, a $5,000 loss. up is this Hellcat right here. I bought it for $27,000.
It had the Hemi tick and needed the motor torn down. One owner on this thing, but four accidents, 70,000 mi. The engine worked. $7,159. All the other stuff, $4,857. The head machining, $1,200. And then I
The head machining, $1,200. And then I did a widebody kit for $2,700. $1,000 to install that. $2,300 for the widebody wheels. And $1,000 to pop out all the dense detail the thing. Uh, which meant uh $21,39347
$27,000 for. And I guess there's shipping in there. $28,000. So, if you do the math, uh that is knocking on the door of $50,000 for a oneowner 4x Hellcat with 70,000 mi. I could get a nice newer low mileage
Hellcat widebody for under $50,000. So, this was this was a really really stupid probably the first person to ever do like a Hellcat restoration as far as one that was worn out, not wrecked, and all that stuff. It was just a lot of wear
is it's still here. I really enjoy driving it. I love the spec of the pearl white with the black hood. The widebody looks awesome and is a six-speed manual. 770 horsepower, heated seat steering wheel. It is a very nice machine. But
the number one, I don't have the full bill on it yet because it's not here. I the 300 cell going here before Christmas. It's on a truck somewhere between California and here. don't know where, but it's not going to come until
sometime after Christmas along with the bill, which is going to be knocking on the door of $100,000 uh to go through and sort that car because it had been sitting for over a decade and needed pretty much everything. But then, you
bill with my own stupidity, roasting my brand new brake drums and refinished wheels on the,000mi rally. So, some of it was self-inflicted, but also it got the sport cam for an extra 30 40 horsepower that it needed because the
that was already tuned for that. So, it was almost cheaper to do sport cam than tune the injection pump back down to a non-sport cam car. But while I wait, I'm going to give my oldest friend his ultimate dream Jeep back to him. He had
one 20 years ago and unfortunately lost it. Yeah, my oldest friend, his name is Chase, and in 2005, he bought one of these. And actually, it's his very first these. And actually, it's his very first Facebook post ever back in October 2005.
And he summed it up better than anybody else, I suppose. 59er. Yes, the fastest else, I suppose. 59er. Yes, the fastest production Jeep ever made with the 5.9 L V8 and fulltime four-wheel drive. See the fins on the hood? Those are only on
the 59s. The special grill, rocker panels, and towing hooks. Maybe it's an obsession. If you can't tell, it's a Jeep thing you wouldn't understand. October 28th, 2005, he bought this, drove it through college, and
unfortunately some bad stuff happened to it. He got sideswiped by a school bus remember correctly, the transmission went out, and he had plans to fix it, the money, and I think it eventually got towed away for scraps. So, it was really
sad because it was his dream Jeep. And he since done very well for himself. He owns his own business, has a work truck, and bought himself a Jeep Wrangler to bunch of his tools and equipment and
Jeep was stolen a couple weeks ago, a modern Wrangler Rubicon, and he put out a post seeing if he could get it back on Facebook 20 years later. And it did come destroyed, totaled out. It's in the salvage yard right now. He's duking it
out with insurance to get a settlement. And then Timeless Motors posted this for out. He has a YouTube channel. I'll have it linked below. And when I messaged gung-ho with what I was doing. So, he offered to drive it out from Las Vegas
and bring it to me to save shipping expenses. So, that made it really, really easy. This thing came from Las Vegas and it is a oneowner truck with 130,000 mi and just ridiculously, ridiculously nice. They don't look like
this in Kansas anymore, unfortunately. They're all rusted out. And this was indeed the fastest production SUV in 1998 because of the 5.9 L V8 under the funny. You can actually make them functional if you want to by removing uh
these pieces, I think, but from the factory, they're really not. But a 5.9 L V8 stuffed under the hood for the last year of the ZJ. And look how ridiculously clean this thing is. The 0 to 60 just shy of 7 seconds. So, we've
come a long way since then as far as performance SUVs and what they can do. But this was the top dog in 1998. Performance SUVs weren't a thing. There's the GMC Typhoon really and that's it. The sport grill is another 59
only thing and then a little bit of extra arrow so they would have had smaller tires as well. I put new tires on it slightly oversized just because I think it looks a lot better but just astoundingly nice inside and out. The
back hatch, all this stuff working. The back hatch has some airport stickers. I away and Timeless Motors bought it out of a state. it. Uh, tons of tools and old man stuff everywhere in this thing along with the factory floor mats. And
it's just almost impossible to find a ZJ this clean anymore, let alone a 59 Limited. Very nostalgic bings and bongs.
Very nostalgic bings and bongs. Oh, but listen to that burble. Quality-wise, you know, a lot of hard plastics and fake wood and all that
stuff, but it still feels really cool and it does definitely haul. Let's hit it here. Jeez, that's that's pretty impressive. But it
makes sense. This was the fastest production SUV in the world in 1998. And when my friend first got this, uh, we lined it up with a car I had at the we lined it up with a car I had at the time, a 4-year-old BMW X5 4.4 V8. And I
was pretty cool with that thing. And he kicked my butt. I mean, he wiped the floor in this Jeep. I was flabbergasted. I mean, he put me in my place. And he has told me for years, if I ever find another 59
Limited, let him know. But there really hasn't been one worth buying. This is the first time that I ever found one that was worthy of my oldest friend. And the timing, well, it's perfect in a good and bad way. Right around Christmas,
good timing, but also his Jeep being stolen, stripped, and ruined. A bad reason, but it gives me a reason to make him happy this holiday season. Uh, with his dream Jeep, getting it back again. And he is a really, really good guy.
Really deserving of it. Great father, his kids, and does so much for me and calling him for help because Jayce is handy and has cool equipment and stuff and I called him last year when I got stuck in a skid steer doing dirt work
around the farm. It wasn't even my skids steer and uh he helped me pull it out. just being an amazing guy. So, he definitely deserves this Jeep for Christmas. Now, he knows I bought it. He wanted to come by immediately when I
sent him a picture. Jeez, and had it all cleaned up. And he's going to try and offer that I I can't refuse on this Jeep. And well, he's not buying from me. we'll see how Chase reacts when he gets here in a few hours. Well, here he is.
My oldest friend. >> He doesn't look that old. Chase over 30 >> I can't believe it. >> You tolerated me for 30 years. >> I suppose. Yeah. I didn't want to admit to that. But [laughter]
I know your holy grail Jeep after having yours trashed and destroyed. >> Oh, man. And that was the one. And I wanted the white, but I I got the >> So, what was the attraction in high school? Cuz you bought it like 0405. You
knew about them or >> So, it was the poster that I saw and they had the mud that was cut out in flames that I saw in a magazine and it had the flames of the mud and it said the world's fastest SUV. And I'm going,
they're on to something. >> Yeah. The fastest accelerating SUV in 98 with the Cayenne, I guess, you know, a couple years later, >> right? But this thing was the king for several years, last year of this body
style, and they decided to go out with a bang. And when I saw it, I was like, "Okay, I I got to get it. It's one owner from a guy. It was a pilot, retired. He passed away. And uh yeah, from Vegas." So, it is ridiculous. The engine bay is
>> I mean, a few little chips here and there, but pop the hood, Chase. I'm sure >> Time or two. So, what happened to yours? I remember the transmission going out things, right? >> You know, you're a young 20s guy, stuff
happens and you don't have enough capital to fix it. But um it actually I capital to fix it. But um it actually I lived it in in the ghetto of Witchah and somebody broke into my house and they took a bunch of stuff and my keys were
sitting in one of the trays there and among everything else that was missing. They had I guess come back months later and stolen the vehicle even though it something or >> uh so reverse was like [snorts] 90%
gone. It would still kind of coast in reverse and uh it was just getting stolen in your life now because one was my 2019 Wrangler. That was my baby. Yeah. Yeah.
from there. nothing's official, but it's that the renter was I guess facilitated theft, which is I guess becoming increasingly more popular. The thing was stolen. It
you know 5 days later and I got a third of a Jeep back. driveway or something. >> No, they had the key because they was >> Yeah, they had the key. >> Well, back Jeez. Well, back to happy
stuff. Yeah. So, >> so let's let's get this thing open. >> Oh, [laughter] this this looks like it's I mean, >> it is a total time warp. >> It looks so good for being How many
math. >> It's going coming up on 30. Yeah. >> So, you know, 26, 27, 28 years old. This is >> So, 130,000 mi on it, but it doesn't look it cuz the, you know, garageed in
>> And >> so, I've got to ask, is the key in it? >> Do I get to >> Oh, yeah, sure. your uh >> Oh, it was a
>> 200 something >> BMW X5 >> You smoked me. I was like, wait, something's wrong. I didn't get Let's line it up again. And then you just I mean annihilated me again. I was like,
>> Yeah, it was the gearing of this thing is pretty >> I watched the jealousy wash over your face at that exact moment and you're like, >> "Yep." Yeah. That started off
>> "Yep." Yeah. That started off >> pretty good here. Here we go. >> pretty good here. Here we go. >> Oh man. Good burble to it, man.
>> Yeah. So, the steering wheel has lost its leather, you know, to Las Vegas. >> The old man dash >> kept the carpet. >> Yep. So, that's protected. Beautiful. >> All the finest plastic tree wood is
>> man. >> Airworks is in Vegas, obviously. >> That's something you would have seen in like the '7s Star Trek. >> And then heated seats and I remember that. And it it had once it's on, it's
>> Yeah. >> Yeah. Man, this is it's bringing back a lot. It This is the one that had like the premium rear sound bar. I mean, this out. >> Yeah. Well, the window sticker right
here. >> Oh, no way. You kept it. That's >> So, still Yeah. In the glove box. 39 grand new. What did you pay for yours? >> How much was it? >> I do. I paid 6,900. The guy was asking
>> and I said, "Hey, you know, I'm in college. 69 sounds pretty good." [laughter] >> So, that's where I got it from. That's know, low mileage ones. >> I know. I know. It's It's like they
>> I mean, I I think a lot of vehicles have done that, >> But man, this is this is awesome. >> Yeah. 1317 is I mean, about as accurate >> Y >> man, that's that's amazing. Well, let's
preserve this thing in the Smithsonian. >> Oh, for sure. Yeah. There's all kinds of weird old man crap in here. It's uh Yeah, it's it's definitely, you know, >> Yeah. >> just kept it from new, but
>> yeah, that's awesome. That's so awesome, man. This is This is really just bringing back the old uh man, the old 59. >> Yep. Well, it's dark outside, so we can't really go for a drive.
>> Yeah. Well, we can do it tomorrow. But the thing is, >> I don't need it. It's all yours, man. Merry Christmas. You're my oldest best friend. I didn't I I bought it. I was like I knew the guy who need this. I
including your last one, but your most recent one being stolen. I was like, I need to replace Chase's Jeep somehow. So, this is this is it, man. Merry >> No way. >> Yeah. No [laughter] way.
>> You do a lot for everybody. You got your amazing dad, your girls, and Yeah. You >> Yeah. >> Well, thank you. Seriously, thank you. >> You're welcome. This is This is awesomely incredible. I don't even know
>> Well, enjoy it. You can come back by tomorrow and we'll take it for a drive and Yeah, you got her back in the color you wanted. Chase White gets the white. Yeah, man. >> Oh, man.
>> He's back. >> You know, I went back and looked at your old Facebook and you have a photo. It's like your very first photo on Facebook is this Jeep and then your house getting ransacked. But uh yeah, hit it, Chase.
ransacked. But uh yeah, hit it, Chase. >> Well, I I mean, here we go. my old old odometer photos and I was going through it. I was trying to find
quite get there. So, I'll show you those >> Yeah, getting this set is like like a '90s VCR. You're never going to figure that out. She scoots. That's the gearing on this
pretty spicy. >> I remember. I so remember. >> Well, when we first met, I moved in across the street from you. You came over. You were so excited that there was
a kid in the neighborhood close to you. You came, your little brother came, who hard he didn't want to go to the bathroom, so he just he just crapped >> Yes, we can. [laughter] >> Oh, it's absolutely going in the video.
meet someone that works in the dentist office, it's like, "Oh, you've known Max brother. Like, yeah, the first time I met him, he crapped himself and it was like 3 years ago. No, it was 30 plus years ago. But we made a lot of dumb
dumb decisions. >> Yes. I'm still making dumb decisions, all that stuff. >> Dumb decisions full force. of. >> Yeah. Well, what do you think?
>> Yeah. Well, what do you think? >> This is This is incredible. It's I mean, >> she's still got the scoot. >> Gear scoots. Yeah. Oh, yeah. >> Gear scoots. Yeah. Oh, yeah. the fastest SUV in the world in 98. I
about online. You described it perfectly. me on it, >> dude. So, I found the right home for like, "Oh, that's really cool." But I I knew like I'm not the guy for this, but
I couldn't just like let it go off to be some kids to get destroyed like yours 15 years ago. Now that you're an adult, you can appreciate it and cherish it, I >> All right, enjoy it, man. I really look forward to the progress as far as you
you're you're pretty handy. My dad calls the inspector to gadgets. So, >> yeah, we'll we'll we'll put some of the uh some of the action on it and >> try doing that. Oh, as he rear ends a Corolla [laughter]
vlog was at a they were at a late breaking stage. Anyway, we'll see how long this one lasts. Thank you so much for watching.
