[0:00] When you have even YouTube calling you [0:02] out and siding with the casual viewer of [0:04] the internet or people that use YouTube, [0:06] you know that you are doing something [0:08] very wrong because notoriously YouTube [0:10] in general has always been kind of uh [0:13] out of touch and not really with the [0:15] actual main consumer or people that use [0:17] YouTube continuously. And the fact that [0:19] you have the spokesperson Jay Stole for [0:21] YouTube even making a statement like [0:23] this, I think really just goes to show [0:25] how bad the situation currently is when [0:27] it comes to age verification, digital [0:29] ID, and overall the uh the safety risk [0:32] that is involved with it. And the reason [0:34] why this is even being brought up and [0:36] why the actual spokesperson of YouTube [0:38] even did a call out is because the [0:41] actual prime minister of the UK is [0:43] moving forward with an effective ban of [0:45] everyone under 16 will no longer be able [0:48] to use the internet. Now, at first [0:50] glance, if you just read the headlines, [0:51] you don't know anything about this [0:53] subject matter whatsoever. Obviously, [0:55] this seems like a good thing. For [0:57] instance, keeping people under 16 off [0:59] the internet would seem to be a massive [1:01] win in a perfect world. But obviously to [1:04] get to that type of direction, we are [1:06] not in a perfect world and it's going to [1:08] be manipulated and used. And I'm I'm not [1:10] going to repeat things and points that [1:12] I've talked about over and over again. [1:14] But the point is is the laws finally [1:16] reached the point to where it's coming [1:17] into effect and that the prime minister [1:18] is now straight up saying that there is [1:21] going to be a full sweeping ban of the [1:23] internet for people. And to be able to [1:25] access the internet, you will now need [1:28] to just straight up give over your ID or [1:30] government identification to some [1:32] degree, face scanning and all that. And [1:33] we've already seen implementations to [1:35] reach this point. But now it's [1:37] full-blown. It is reaching China level [1:41] censorship and firewall status when you [1:43] have something like this go on. And I [1:45] just I want to play this brief little [1:47] thing that really just goes to show the [1:48] narrative that the prime minister of the [1:50] UK is really trying to paint here when [1:52] it comes to just the reason why they [1:54] need to restrict your rights and just uh [1:56] rip away, you know, your privacy. [1:58] >> Absolutely clear. [2:00] Thousands of parents say their children [2:03] are addicted to social media. It can [2:06] leave them trapped in a cycle of endless [2:09] scrolling that displaces play, sleep, [2:12] and time with the family. [2:15] I'm going to just pop a a hole in what [2:18] he just said there. If parents are [2:19] noticing this and they're having a [2:21] problem with it, there is a solution, a [2:23] very easy solution. You can easily take [2:25] their phone away. You could put time [2:27] locks on them and everything. You're the [2:28] parent. You're able to do that. But [2:30] obviously that is too hard nowadays for [2:32] parents. Parents rather have their child [2:34] be babysat by the internet, by tablets, [2:36] by phones, by gaming consoles instead of [2:38] actually doing their job and being a [2:40] parent and monitoring them. And so [2:42] basically the solution now is that [2:44] instead of parents being the parent, [2:46] they want big daddy government to do [2:48] their job for them. And that's basically [2:50] what the prime minister of the UK is [2:52] saying. Is that basically parents that [2:54] are just outright lazy and just I'm [2:55] going to be blunt, bad parents. They um [2:58] they are dragging everybody else down [3:00] and having your rights restricted and [3:02] taken from you because you have parents [3:04] not wanting to do their job. And so this [3:06] whole concept of think of the kids, it [3:08] really comes down to just very poor [3:10] parenting and lazy parents and everybody [3:12] else is getting punished for it. It's [3:14] absolutely horrendous. And basically [3:17] trying to say that, oh, we need to allow [3:18] the government to step in and to do this [3:20] instead parents doing it, I think is [3:22] just incredibly wrong. And I mean, this [3:24] entire narrative and argument is [3:25] something I've been talking about a lot, [3:27] but we have finally reached the [3:28] threshold now to where the UK is fully [3:31] implementing just a straightup ban. And [3:34] to be able to overcome this ban, by the [3:37] way, you're going to have to ID [3:39] yourself. Like for instance, if you're [3:41] an adult, [3:42] ult and all that, you're going to have [3:43] to present an ID. You're going to have [3:44] to present your location, where you're [3:46] at, and everything just to be able to [3:48] access the internet. And so, this means [3:50] that just because people under 16 are [3:52] banned doesn't mean anyone above that is [3:54] not going to be affected by this. You [3:56] will have to show ID. And as we've all [3:59] seen, I've been talking about this topic [4:01] consistently, your data is not safe. It [4:04] will be stolen. There's data breaches, [4:07] dark web, all sorts of stuff. We've [4:09] already seen it happen a few times now [4:10] to just government sites in general when [4:12] it comes to your data being lost when [4:13] they're forcing face scanning or digital [4:15] ID. So, um, everything about this is [4:18] just outright bad. And, um, there's a [4:21] lot of big social media heads that are [4:23] now talking about this. I mean, you even [4:24] have Elon Musk kind of talking about [4:26] this situation, calling this out and how [4:28] bad it is, which makes sense because [4:30] obviously he is the owner of X Twitter [4:33] and um you know, he has one of the [4:34] biggest platforms in the world. So, uh [4:36] makes sense he would call this one out [4:38] and since technically the UK has been [4:40] very adamant about censoring Twitter, I [4:42] think um makes sense why he would do [4:44] that. But anyways, the point is is when [4:46] you have someone like YouTube as well [4:48] calling this out that you know, let's [4:50] just let's keep it real guys. YouTube [4:52] would love to have your data, more of [4:54] your data. They would love to know [4:55] everything about you, your ID and all [4:57] that. But the fact that you have a [4:59] spokesperson, the main spokesperson of [5:01] YouTube calling this out, I think [5:03] showcases the danger here. And that even [5:05] YouTube and Google doesn't want to put [5:08] up a um a front or a facade and act like [5:11] this is okay. They are willing to push [5:12] back on it, which that I'm very happy [5:15] and surprised. Like, for once, we have a [5:17] massive YouTube win. Good on them. I I [5:20] honestly I got to give them where credit [5:22] is due. Good win on their part because [5:24] so many companies will instantly bow [5:25] down to this and not speak up and say [5:27] how bad this actually is. But um getting [5:29] into a few other additional points that [5:31] I want to comment on. I do want to [5:33] mention one big thing. This is not going [5:36] to stop at the UK. We already have this [5:39] being implemented I believe in Australia [5:40] or it's already implemented. China [5:42] obviously has it. UK has it. And this is [5:45] probably once this passes, this is [5:47] probably going to hit Europe and [5:48] eventually Canada and then, you know, [5:50] eventually probably the United States, [5:51] Brazil, and different places around the [5:53] world. It's going to start hitting. It [5:55] doesn't stop at one point when a law is [5:57] passed like this that's just so massive. [5:59] And if there isn't a radical amount of [6:00] push back, it will sweep around the [6:03] world. We've already seen this when it [6:04] comes to censorship with different [6:06] Japanese sites and games and everything [6:08] in between. So, this is just the a [6:11] symptom that it's going to get worse if [6:12] there isn't significant push back, [6:14] especially within the UK. And I hope a [6:17] lot of people really outcry how bad this [6:19] is because all this is is to harvest [6:21] your IDs, harvest where you're at, and [6:23] censor you at any point in turn because [6:24] this is just straight up a silencing [6:26] tactic. That that's exactly what it is. [6:29] I mean, let's let's be honest. I I it's [6:31] very important to the subject matter. I [6:33] don't like diving into this part too [6:35] much, but it is important. politics like [6:38] we've all seen it. If you watch, let's [6:40] say for instance, Asmin Gold or anyone, [6:42] you know, that's very popular on [6:43] YouTube, you definitely have seen the uh [6:46] the actual violence that's taking place [6:48] in Europe and UK. And it's very clear [6:51] that the UK, the GR government doesn't [6:53] want you to talk about that. They are [6:54] trying to silence descent. They're [6:55] trying to silence basically people being [6:57] against what their viewpoint is for what [6:59] the governments are heading, you know, [7:00] the their actual country. And they don't [7:02] like people being against them. And the [7:04] whole point here is to basically silence [7:06] you and silence your opinions. that's [7:08] what they're wanting. For instance, you [7:10] know, if they're able to completely ban [7:11] social media for certain individuals, [7:13] and then also know what you're saying [7:14] and track you, they can instantly arrest [7:16] you, give you fines, and it's already [7:17] happening. So, it's a very scary future. [7:19] Like, we really are living in like a [7:21] 1984 Shimaneta type reality that is just [7:26] getting bad, man. It's really getting [7:28] bad. Like, when you have YouTube on your [7:30] side and calling this out, I think it [7:32] says a lot. It really says how bad we [7:35] really are at this point. and that a a [7:38] an actual company that would be honestly [7:40] have all intents and purposes to want [7:42] your data even more of your data to be [7:44] against this. Yikes. I will leave it at [7:48] that though. I I wanted to talk about [7:49] this cuz obviously this is very [7:51] important. There's nothing more [7:52] important I could talk about today than [7:54] this because I feel like this is a [7:56] radical escalation of the internet and [8:00] uh where we're heading because obviously [8:02] you know the next step now is that this [8:04] law gets implemented completely and [8:06] other governments will follow the EU [8:08] will follow it and other countries [8:10] around the world and I hate that because [8:12] remember this all started over a year [8:14] ago with the UK implementing like their [8:16] online digital act or digital online [8:18] safety act and um we've seen where [8:21] that's but now with other countries and [8:23] now it's happening again another [8:24] escalation and it's always another [8:27] escalation and it gets a lot worse if [8:29] you know nothing's done and I I I really [8:31] hope that uh the citizens in the UK push [8:34] back against this but I will leave it at [8:36] that if you enjoy my content please [8:38] subscribe be safe stay healthy Not
