[00:02] it's finally here and it has brought with it a whole bunch of new anime and absolutely nothing else of value because summer sucks and so do you if you like them. Like seriously, summers. Anyway, honest opinions disguised as
[00:16] jokes aside, the upcoming summer season is quite promising as far as anime is concerned. From a few exciting sequels to a ton of exciting new shows, the new season is quite stacked and as such has a list of every single anime I'll watch
[00:28] from the upcoming summer season. As most of you already know, I tend to watch an unhealthy, borderline concerning amount of seasonal shows, so maybe you'll find With all that being said, let's not waste time and jump right into it. We'll

[01:06] talking about Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War core four, aka the finale. Now, I watching Bleach fans talk about animation makes you want to pour bleach into your eyes, but that has nothing to do with the show. The show itself is
[01:20] though, I'd be lying if I said I'm not actively losing interest in the TYBW arc with every passing installment. I am. The extended fights between characters I with that extremely predictable narrative structure of I look like I'm
[01:35] about to die, so I'll power up and then you do the same, then me, then you, and repeat makes the whole thing feel a bit lackluster for lack of a better term. I shonen as a whole, not just Bleach, but it just feels a bit more egregious when
[01:49] Bleach does them, presumably because of the wonky execution. Last minute power ups, for example, they are very common in anime and they're fine, speaking, but 10 minutes of any fight seriously because I know they'll pull out 17 fake
[02:03] out power ups. It's painfully predictable and it genuinely hinders my overall enjoyment. It does. Anyway, takes that pissed off Bleach stupid instead of offering any legible counter arguments aside, this is the
[02:16] finale so I expect them to pull out the big guns both writing and production wise. I have my gripes with both those aspects, famously so in case of the latter, but this can be fun. I can see it being a fairly enjoyable watch. We'll
[02:28] see what it's like. Up next, we have From Country Bumpkins to Master Swordsman season 2, a fairly fun action fantasy with outstanding CGI between a cool fantasy action with a
[02:41] slop. Pretty cool all around. I recommend checking it out if you haven't already. Next up, we have Gleipnir season 2, yet another dark fantasy except it's dark and brooding. The kind of dark and
[02:54] 14-year-old jump for joy. The kind of dark and brooding that's basically [music] that one YNW Melly comment but in anime form. going on with the writing but the show does have a cool art style/unique visual
[03:07] look. Annoying drop down shadows on the cells and all. So, I'll continue with it. Why not? Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You looks like a matured slow-paced romance. I like those in case you didn't know.
[03:19] Plus, I've heard good things about the source material. This can be good. Up next, we have The Exiled The Knight knows how to game the system and yes, I'm watching this purely because it's a GoHands production. Like, how can you
[03:31] look at them. Studio GoHands is such an enigma. studio in terms of work conditions and organization, their output makes it involved high on something, they're all high on different substances. like
[03:46] this cannot be the result of one drug. There's simply too much going on. Anyway, jokes aside, this show is pure go-hands goodness or badness, depending on how you look at it. The unnecessarily detailed hair, the disgusting textures,
[03:59] for a treat. Well, trauma, but you get the idea. Grand Blue Dreaming season 3, which came out a lot sooner than I expected given the wait between seasons [music] 1 and 2. Anyway, it's obviously a very fun
[04:12] show, albeit a tiny bit repetitive, so no reason to not watch it. Tomb Raider King, aka definitely not Solo Leveling the anime, aka Sung Solo Leveling the anime, aka Sung Jinwoo, aka by myself powered up. Jokes
[04:24] adapting is the epitome of a trashy power fantasy manhwa, so much so that I, Mr. Trashy Power Fantasy Manhwa myself, haven't read it because it felt like a bit much. Still, this will probably be a ton of fun in the most basic sense in
[04:37] that it will be a turn off your mind and enjoy show even more so than Solo Leveling, plus the visuals look quite cool. I'm looking forward to it. Your Dying Day, and while I don't find the plot/premise to be particularly
[04:50] interesting, I'll watch this purely because of how good that one pilot film looked. The actual show obviously won't look like that, but the two projects do feature the same staff, so maybe we'll see some cool stuff here and there.
[05:02] Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky, just your typical romance drama light novel adaptation. I tend to like those, plus it's a Studio Makaria production, and I've kept up with most of their output. It's another one of those why
[05:14] makes sense. Sparks of Tomorrow, now this, this is it. This is the show I'm looking forward to the most and for good reason. First room, this show is being produced by the one and only Kyoto Animation, and
[05:28] than enough, but on top of that, it's a departure from the studio's usual output. It quite literally doesn't get The show was actually announced all the way back in 2018, if I'm not mistaken,
[05:42] but I'm sure it got entirely reworked in recent years because of obvious reasons, and it looks phenomenal. The gritty steampunk aesthetic coupled with single aspect of anime production will undoubtedly lead to this show being a
[05:55] treat for the eyes. I cannot wait. Up next, we have Black Torch, an adaptation of an axed manga of all things, and it looks fairly solid, to show that quality and commercial success aren't as closely related as you
[06:09] think. Just because your favorite manga sold 17 trillion copies doesn't mean it's entitled to a good adaptation. Anyway, the plot appears to be our typical shonen setup, not particularly interesting, but we'll see what it's
[06:21] The elusive samurai season 2, a show I Like seriously, where the did this shown us a single second of new footage. I don't even think they have a concrete
[06:33] release date. I've no idea what the is going on with this production. Anyway, nerd talk aside, the first season of this show was all right. The but the writing was all over the place with a few cool ideas here and there and
[06:46] better. The Ghost in the Shell SAC 2045, a adaptation of, well, Ghost in the Shell, because what else would it be an adaptation of? With a strong staff behind it, the show looks brilliant with
[07:00] silly light-hearted vibe being a massive Mamoru Oshii movies. And while I do appreciate a project like this existing, when I think of the kind of discourse it'll inevitably bring about. I can
[07:14] almost see pseudo-intellectuals on Twitter saying stuff like, "Anime is Mamoru Oshii," and it's not a pretty sight. Still, insufferable morons aside, the show does look really good. I doubt I'll like it as much as Oshii's movies
[07:28] liked them was their cinematic moody style, but still, I'm sure it'll be fun. Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games, except they do, and they made an entire anime about it. Looks like your typical girls do things and each other
[07:42] apparently show. Why not? Chainsmoker Cat, which is the second smoking-based anime airing this season. Good to see big tobacco sticking their industry, I guess. Jokes aside, it appears to be a cute, silly, silly show.
[07:55] Plus, the staff behind it is quite strong. For example, Chainsmoker Cat features Chainsaw Man Devil designer Riki Matsuda on character design duties, so I'm sure it'll look great. Next up, we have Jadugar, a vision
[08:07] Mongolia in Naoko Yamada led TV anime. Although, it's actually Abel Gongora handling series direction. Yamada is the chief director and it looks outstanding. The overall style and aesthetic, the animation power, the designs, it's pure
[08:19] eye candy. I can't wait to see it in all its glory. Also, I'm really glad to see Naoko Yamada lead a TV anime for the first time in 97 years. Maybe a stust. It looks cool. That's it. That's your commentary. The World is
[08:31] Dancing, a high-profile anime produced by Cygames, formerly Cygames Pictures, be the animation producer for the upcoming Kagurabachi anime. Also, just [music] Samurai. I know it looks similar, but it's not. Anyway, the show
[08:47] surprise given how strong the staff behind it is and the premise is, well, it's not generic, let's put it that way. A performing art-based anime set against a historical backdrop, it's not like it hasn't been done before. Masaaki Yuasa's
[09:00] potential. Goodbye Lara, a very good-looking fantasy anime with eye-catching designs, and that's it. There's not all that much going on plot-wise, just your typical fairy tale-based romance. Looks cool,
[09:13] though. Up next, we have Iron Wok Jan, an extremely over-the-top, in-your-face cooking anime produced by Studio Troyca. The show looks quite fun in a very unserious kind of way, if that makes
[09:25] sense. It appears to be self-aware and unapologetic in its abrasiveness, and I can respect that. Looking forward to it. And finally, the last, but probably not the least, we have Grow Up Show, Sunflower Circus, yet another historical
[09:39] history in question this time around goes back 70 years instead of 650. Pictures original centered around a circus troupe doing what circus troupes
[09:51] viewpoint. Plus it looks fun, and I mean acrobatic things. Hard to go wrong with that. Looking forward to it. entries as usual this time around, but it is what it is. Let me know what shows
