# Make Easy Gold Without Midnight

> Source: [Make Easy Gold Without Midnight](https://youtube.com/watch?v=XNmVvy-QKjE)

## Summary

This video presents three gold-making methods in World of Warcraft that require purchasing the Midnight expansion. The first method is farming Dreamleaf in Legion, which yields over 20,000 gold per hour. The second involves lumbering and crafting decorations in the housing area, providing high gold per hour but slower sales. The third is a druid-only dual gathering farm in Vashj'ir, leveraging the Sea Legs buff for fast swimming.

### Key Points

- **Dreamleaf Farming Overview** [00:14] — Farming Dreamleaf in Val'sharah is viable without Midnight and consistently yields over 20,000 gold per hour when done correctly.
- **Essential Enchant for Dreamleaf** [00:43] — Enchant gloves with Legion Herbalism to significantly increase gathering speed; only have Herbalism, not Mining, to maximize efficiency.
- **Rank 3 Dreamleaf Importance** [02:08] — Gathering Dreamleaf triggers quests to upgrade its rank; reaching rank 3 substantially increases herb yield per node.
- **Dreamleaf Profit Details** [03:19] — At 8 gold per Dreamleaf, expect 20k gold per hour; Blood of Sargeras can be traded for additional Dreamleaf in Dalaran.
- **Lumbering and Decor Crafting** [04:50] — Use the housing area portal (requires The World Within, included in subscription) to gather lumber and craft decorations for sale on the auction house.
- **Efficient Lumber Gathering** [06:24] — Bind an interact key (e.g., F) to quickly gather lumber nodes; each node yields 1-3 lumber.
- **Crafting Decorations** [08:11] — Level tailoring and enchanting cheaply (e.g., via bandages) to craft decorations from various expansions, diversifying stock for steady sales.
- **Lumber Value Example** [10:00] — The Pandaren table lamp costs 269 gold to craft and sells for 2,185 gold on average, valuing 8 lumber at 1,800 gold (225 gold per lumber).
- **Vashj'ir Druid Farm** [12:44] — A druid-only farm: unlock Vashj'ir via quest, get Sea Legs buff, then dual gather in Abyssal Depths using travel form for fast swimming.
- **Vashj'ir Profit Comparison** [14:39] — Gold per hour fluctuates but is competitive with Dreamleaf; ideal for druids who want variety.

### Conclusion

The video offers three effective gold-making methods that require neither the Midnight expansion nor excessive effort, with detailed steps for each to help players achieve their gold goals.

## Transcript

the latest expansion Midnight, but in today's video, I'm going to give you three different options to make a lot of gold so you can afford to buy Midnight for gold. So, as I said, all of these three different gold-making methods is
fully viable to do without owning Midnight. And the first one we're going to look at is something that I regularly recommend on stream when people ask me how to make gold for the expansion, and that is farming Dreamleaf. Dreamleaf is
an herb from Legion, and it is steadily holding a good price, and you are consistently making over 20K gold per hour farming this herb if it's done correctly. So, let's go through quickly how to farm it most efficient and how to
get fully set up. So, the only thing you really need to buy from the auction house is enchant gloves Legion Herbalism. This one will increase your gathering speed a ton, so make sure you buy this enchant because otherwise
Make sure you enchant your glove with it, and then let's head to Legion. So, before you head to Legion, make sure you have trained yourself in any Herbalism because you need to have the profession. Then take the portal to Aszuna that is
found in your capital city, either Orgrimmar or Stormwind. You can also like to. Then we want to head over to Val'sharah up here. When you're in Val'sharah, you will spot Dreamleaf kind of everywhere, so make sure you gather
Dreamleaf, you have now learned Legion Herbalism. Let's now continue to gather until you get the quest to rank up your Dreamleaf. Also, whenever you gather a spawn a mob. Make sure you kill it because it drops a lot of extra
particular, you do not want to have mining as well. You just want to run Herbalism. You don't want to do mining because that will just slow you down since you can only enchant one glove with Herbalism and mining. You could tab
between them, but I still think that farming Dreamleaf only is better here. I have done some testing, but what I found out is just forming dream leaf is the you gather dream leaf, you will get a quest that will bring you back to
Dalaran. You go there, complete it, pick up the next quest, keep doing that until when you have dream leaf rank three, you will be getting substantially more take you some time to get there
depending on luck. I've been getting it like times very quickly in like 20 minutes, but also sometime it's been taking hours. But one thing I can recommend you, if you want to speed up the process of getting the quest item,
is to head up here outside the raid and kill mobs, because then you will probably drop the quest item faster because you can kill so many mobs, and have a chance to get the quest item. Basically, these is the mobs that you
mobs that you can kill and you can gather them and then you can get the quest item. So I will be leaving you a route for this farm and what add-ons to summarize, make sure you get a Legion Herbalism enchant and also try to push
for dream leaf rank three, because it's really important. I think that's it. You should be getting over 2,000 dream leaf per hour quite easily if you're doing will get better results, some of you will get worse, but I have been
consistently making 20k gold per hour when the prices are at about eight gold, but right now they are a little bit higher. Also, you will get Blood of Sargeras when you are gathering, and those are included in the amount of
dream leaf that you were to get that I just said, because this one you can turn into 10 dream leaf in Dalaran at an NPC here. So if you go to the NPC here and talk to her, you can buy dream leaf for Blood of Sargeras, so make sure you do
that and you will make way more gold as well. But let's now talk about the next interrupt, but I just quickly want to say that me and my brother have released a free-to-play game on Steam. It's an incremental clicker type style of game.
And if you guys want to support us and also try out the game, please do so. It's linked in the top of the description and in the pinned comment. In my opinion, it's a really, really fun game. You kill monster, you level up,
you increase your weapon, your damage. You can buy stocks to get passive of stuff in this game. It's really fun and actually pretty addictive to be >> I've been playing this game like crazy since we launched it because it's just
so fun. Also, active leaderboards so you guys can see who have performed the best and who has come furthest into the game so far. So if you guys want to support me like at a crazy level, please just check it out, give it a shot and see
game Discord. It's linked there as well and give us feedback what you think about the game or what we can improve. So please check out Cave Dude on Steam, continue with the video. >> So the next gold making method we're
going to talk about is actually lumbering and decor crafting. And no, you do not need Midnight to do this. You do only need the World Within, which is now included in everyone's subscription. So all you have to do is get yourself to
the housing area. And to get to the housing area, it's really, really simple. You just take the portal from your major city to the housing area. So just take the portal on the character that you're going to farm on, which
any character. >> Talk to the lumberjack wherever it is. It is like in the middle of the city here. Pick up the quest lumber for you. Basically, it will give you the axe so you can start finding lumber. So if you
don't know, in the Midnight, we got the addition of player housing. So we are now able to build houses and in our houses, we can customize them with decorations. And crafted decorations can be bought and sold on the auction house.
So decorations can vary a lot in price depending on which server you are selling on and also how many lumber and what the cost of crafting them are. However, it tends to be that the faster selling items is the cheaper ones. But
also the cheaper items tends to be the ones that require less amount of lumber to craft. But then how do we craft the decor and how do we farm the lumber? Let's quickly go through how to farm the lumber. It's really easy to farm the
lumber. Now when you did the lumber quest you can now track lumber up here at the map as you can see find lumber and then you will see those lumber logs popping up on your mini map. All you got to do is gather them and you will get a
number of lumber between one to three per node you gather. If you want to make it a little bit easier to gather, this is also good for the previous farm, go to options, search for interact key, enable interact key, key bind it to
something comfortable. I go with F. So whenever I find a node now, I can just press F when I see the little icon above and it will gather my node. It is super simple to farm lumber. It takes some time but it is usually the best gold per
hour you can get from gathering because the decor is so valuable when you craft them and it is the best gold per hour because they are so valuable but they are also selling slowly. So it's not going to be like selling a material on
the auction house. It's going to sell slow. So you need to gather a lot and craft a lot of different decorations to be able to sell decor at a decent pace and make quick bucks. But for the long term and like for the best gold per time
spent, usually decoration farming is the best you can do. But just be aware that this type of farming is selling slower. So you don't get disappointed when you realize that you craft three items and they don't sell immediately. You need a
lot of different items, lot of different stock and if you want to take the next step, you also going to want to provide them on different realms. You transfer them in in warband bank to different realms and sell them there. As you get
more items just to have more opportunities of sales. But that is a really need to do that. What I would recommend is to farm a lot of the core, then when you have a lot of stock on there, go farm something else like the
to sell the decor while you're out farming and make like double trouble extra mega amounts of gold. So that is probably what I would recommend you to do. But let's go through quickly how to craft decorations because that can be
scary, that can feel overwhelming, but it is easier than you think. So I now swapped character to another one. I don't know if you watched my series a couple of months ago. I made a zero to Brutosaur challenge where I basically
made it pretty much only crafting decorations because it was so good. If you saw that challenge or if you didn't, I went with tailoring and enchanting as my two crafting professions. And why did I do that? Because they are really cheap
to level up in some expansions. Because basically every expansion offer you different decor to craft in your profession. So for example, classic tailoring offers you different housing decor. Then you have Outland tailoring
offering you other housing decor and so on for every expansion. And all of them of course requires different amount of lumber and different lumber as well. There is one lumber per expansion. So I will be leaving you my routes for lumber
stuff in the description this time around, but so much resources that I have that I really think that is valuable for you. So do check them out is because you can basically level yourself up in almost every expansion
yourself up in almost every expansion just by crafting bandages. Bandages are every expansion as you can see. That's why I recommend maybe starting out with you don't have any professions yet on your account, start with tailoring
because it's super fast, super easy. Maybe even have a look at enchanting because that was also very easy and cheap to level up in some expansions. I didn't do all of them, but I did a few and they are super, super easy to level
up in some of them. And I will be leaving you a link to the website of wow professions in the description as well, where you can check leveling guides for these professions. So, it's really, really easy to skill up. But for
example, if we're going to look at some craft here, we have the Pandaren table lamp for example in enchanting. This one requires eight bamboo lumber, nine ethereal shard, four windwool cloth, and two spirit of harmony. So, if we go to
the auction house and quickly do a little bit of a scan here, we can see little bit of a scan here, we can see that this item only costs us 269 gold to craft and it sells for 5,000 on this realm. On average, it sells for 2,185
that number instead. But then, we can see that we have a crafting profit of about 1,800 gold if we were to sell it at 2,180. And that means that eight lumber for us is worth about 1,800 gold
in this case. So, farming eight lumber will be worth 1,800 gold if we sell this Pandaren table lamp. And that is quite good because eight lumber is actually really, really easy to come by. So, it shouldn't be any problem getting that
and getting 1,800 gold or whatever for it for eight lumber is really good. So, as you can see, like the value of lumber is usually pretty high. You can find cases where it's way higher than that as well. And of course, it depends on what
realm you are. But if you're on a realm with super high prices of stuff, usually they will sell way slower than as well. But yeah, as I said, I recommend you to farm every lumber from every expansion that you can and get the profession
skilled up so you can craft as many different item as possible because that is going to be key. Even if some of them is worth way more. You should still diversify in items, especially if you're only selling on one realm. This one
then, for example, we can see that it costs 38 gold to craft here. The item is costs 38 gold to craft here. The item is worth 5,200 gold. It requires 10 lumber. So, if we were to sell this one, it would basically be worth 500 gold per
lumber, which is insane. You would be making so much gold per hour if you were to value your lumber at 500 gold each. However, this is selling on average for 3,200. Then you would value your lumber at 300
gold per lumber, which is still really, really, really good because you should really, really good because you should be making around 250 lumber per hour gathering, and that would mean a lumber value of 300 would mean that you make
75k per hour, I think. So, yeah, that is super good. So, as you can see, it's included all the valuable information about lumbering here now. Just make sure possible, as I said, and start with the cheap professions. Unless you already
with what you have. And yeah, it's not hard to level up professions. Classic 300 skill. It takes a little bit longer, but like 75 skill it goes super quick, super cheap. Like it costs you like a few hundred gold for like tailoring to
get to max skill in most expansions. So, yeah, don't sleep on that. It is really, to look at the last gold making method that I recommend you to do to get your gold either for midnight or for whatever your goal is. Okay, so now to the third
farm, and this third farm is a druid only farm because it is not doable without a druid because you will be too slow. So, what we're going to do now is once again dual gathering. I think this gathering is also very nice. I made a
lot of gold doing this farm as well in my challenges when I go from like zero to something. It actually starts here at the hero call board cuz this is a little you're going to want to press on one here, take the quest until the one for
Vashj'ir pops up. And Vashj'ir is maybe not our favorite zone in the game, but it is one great one for old content gathering maybe because it is such a eventually when you pick up the Vashj'ir quest, I've already done it now, but you
will get a very quick questline to unlock Vashj'ir. And when you come to Vashj'ir, you going to want to do like the first quest here until you get a water buff speed which makes you swim way, way faster. So, I'm going to show
you, let's head to Vashj'ir. It is the Sea Legs buff that you're going to want be swimming like this fast, not that fast, faster than usual, but if you're a druid when you travel form, you swim like this. You swim like insanely fast,
able to gather really, really efficiently here in Vashj'ir. What I do is that I just go around in Abyssal Depths. I have a route here that I of description as well, which you will just be going around and around and around
and around gathering until you are satisfied enough and you will be making quite good gold. It is because of the Sea Legs buff that you are so fast. I think this farm is still really, really good, but I don't exactly know the gold
per hour of it right now because it fluctuates, depends of on prices of has been competitive with the Dreamleaf one. Sometimes I've been getting better the time Dreamleaf is winning, but if you want to try something else, you can
try this one and it is actually really, really simple to do. So, just train mining herbalism, get to Vashj'ir, do the first quest, get your Sea Legs, then swim over here to the Abyssal Depths and do the route that is linked in the
route in the description requires you to have the route and the route import export add-on so you can import the route into the game. It's not pictures import to the game so you can actually see them here on the map and follow
them. Of Of you're going to be using FarmHud the add-on, as well to be farming more efficiently. But, all of that will be linked in the description I hope this video has been helpful, and I hope you can make enough gold now to
buy Midnight for gold only, or whatever your goal is. But, I guess most of you have that gold, at least. If you guys like what I do, please go ahead and support me by trying Cave Dude
completely free to play on Steam, as you saw earlier. It is me and my brother's new game that we have made. If you want to, please go ahead and at least give it on it because I did. Please give it a shot. It would mean the world, and I'll
be seeing you guys in the next video. Goodbye.
