[0:00] What's up everybody? Damon here and for [0:01] today's daily fix, we have new Xbox Game [0:03] Pass games for June and more Xbox [0:05] studios on the chopping block. This is [0:07] your daily fix. [0:19] Presented by Universal Orlando Resort [0:21] and its newest theme park, Universal [0:22] Epic Universe. [0:25] Amid reports of potential studio [0:26] closures and mass layoffs, Microsoft has [0:28] announced the Xbox Game Pass June wave 2 [0:31] lineup of games. It has yet to comment, [0:33] however, on this week's rumors that the [0:34] likes of Hellblade developer Ninja [0:36] Theory, Psychonauts developer Double [0:37] Fine, and South of Midnight developer [0:39] Compulsion may always be shut down. [0:41] Anyway, coming to Game Pass during the [0:43] second half of June in the early part of [0:44] July are EA Sports F26, which is of [0:47] course timed to coincide with the [0:48] ongoing World Cup. There's also RV There [0:51] yet, and Winds of Arcana Ruination. [0:53] Meanwhile, the 2021 Call of Duty game [0:55] Vanguard hits Game Pass this month. [0:57] Abyssus is out June 25th, and Tony [0:59] Hawk's Pros Skater 3 and 4 joins the [1:01] Ultimate and PC tiers on July 2nd. There [1:04] are no day one releases for the rest of [1:06] June with Jungster out today. Game Pass [1:08] soldiers on amid new Xbox boss Asha [1:11] Sharma's reset of the gaming business, [1:13] which looks like it will result in a [1:14] number of high-profile casualties. [1:16] Yesterday, the game business reported [1:17] that Xbox Game Studios boss Craig Duncan [1:20] had stepped down and news of various [1:22] Microsoft studios potentially closing [1:23] down emerged soon after. IGN has asked [1:26] Microsoft for comment, but it is yet to [1:28] respond. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has [1:30] said, "No one can accuse Microsoft of [1:33] not having invested for the last 25 [1:34] years." Now, we have to turn this into a [1:36] sustainable business that delivers what [1:38] is fundamentally one of the best sources [1:40] of entertainment. Still moving on. As [1:42] mentioned previously, Hellblade [1:44] developer Ninja Theory and Psychonauts [1:45] developer Doublefine are reportedly [1:47] among the studios fighting to avoid [1:48] closure as Microsoft makes significant [1:50] cuts to the Xbox business. Bloomberg [1:52] reported that Compulsion, Ninja Theory, [1:54] and Doublefine are all negotiating with [1:56] Microsoft to potentially go independent, [1:58] although doing so would still likely [1:59] result in significant layoffs. UK studio [2:02] Ninja Theory is behind the technically [2:03] impressive Hellblade franchise, which [2:05] has struggled for commercial success. [2:07] The developer announced sequel Senua [2:09] just over a week ago at the Xbox games [2:11] showcase reveal event. It is unclear [2:13] what will happen to the game now. [2:15] Earlier this year, Doublefine, which is [2:17] behind the Psychonauts franchise, [2:19] released online multiplayer pottery [2:21] party brawler Kilm. Like Double Fine's [2:23] 2025 effort, Keeper Kilm failed to make [2:25] an impression. Double Fine has responded [2:27] to the reports of its potential closure [2:29] with a single emoji. [2:32] And that is your daily fix for Tuesday, [2:33] June 16th. Now that you're caught up on [2:35] the news, watch the launch trailer for [2:37] Jason Vorhees and Dead by Daylight.
