today's hot fixes. Now, obviously, we all know prey was one of the the brand all know prey was one of the the brand new sort of systems in this expansion. It's supposed to be one of the box, you know, things. And uh to
be completely real, it's missed the mark on a couple different things. Not really reward-wise. I like the couple mounts and I like the idea of the system, but how you go about completing them is not very good. Number two is it's just
So, like even the max level difficulty is like not even tier 11 delve difficulty. And it kind of just kills the hype a little bit. Um so, firstly, it was too easy to complete
where literally you just run around, you do disarm traps over and over and the followers, by the way, for both of you. Shout out to you. Um so, Blizzard, they are making some small prey changes. They nerfed the trap thing a little bit
ago and they didn't supplement anything to fix it and it's been a disaster ever So, they state here, remove the once per week restriction on preferential killing, which generates a hunt with
honest, I don't even have that rank unlocked. So, I don't even know Does anyone know what making a custom hunt is like, by the way? Does anyone know? >> Yeah, I'm not even Is there anyone in here that's prey rank 10 that knows what

I guess. I don't know. I feel like that should have been a thing like right off rip. Like if you want, you could pick like a custom hunt and like like I don't know. Like make something different. Like I like
cuz like praise a cool system, but it's just so [ __ ] bland. one of the war within, right? Like I feel like even though delves were pretty good and they were fresh in season one of the war within.
Um they did just continue to improve upon them >> Yeah. I guess it's something that could take some time, but um I mean, we all know this is the worst version of prey they're ever going to give ever. Um and
who knows if this is something they're going to expand upon? Like I I'm going to be honest. Like you put a GTA gun to my head and say, "Hey,
are they going to keep delve or prey or not moving forward?" I couldn't tell you. I don't I don't know. I don't. I mean, obviously we all know they're going to keep delves. Delves are [ __ ] great content for casual people.
>> are definitely not as like obvious of okay, yeah, this is a huge win as much as delves were. All right. Like delves it was so obvious. Everyone in our chat reason I play. Delves are I don't think anyone's saying praise are the reason

it. Like there's going to be some bigger changes. I mean, they're doing it now. if it wasn't something they at least had an idea on, they wouldn't even bring this. So, it is a start. Um let's continue though. Increased prey
hunt progress gained from completing world quest, defeating ambushes, delivering repulses, which I believe that's after you kill them, the little blood cloud, whatever, and interacting with remnants of anguish. So,
this is what I thought they should have done right off rip. Make doing other activities increase the prey hunt progress like way instead of just looking for traps. That [ __ ] is stupid. Not only that, um while
you're out in the world, if you have someone maybe targeted for prey, maybe that person, let's just say for example, it's that draenei paladin, maybe the mobs that you fight out in the open world, maybe some of them have like
paladin's theme or something. Like I don't know, something interesting here. cuz I feel like half the time it's like I don't know. It's like I'm just doing my chores while I'm trying to >> Yeah, it No, I mean, the prey itself
feels like a chore. Yeah. Whereas I still, even though I get nothing out of it really now, like delves are still pretty fun. Short hype value, yeah, I could agree. And
it's crazy because right off rip, I thought preys were cool until I figured minutes. >> until, yeah, people realized what the but also they were cool before the season
started. So, like pre-season, when you just hit max level, they were pretty fun. Yeah. I could agree. >> Um No, they're not fun right now. >> You know what is fun?

do You know what content people like, casual players like is those solo bosses, expand upon Delves, which they're already doing, thank god. Um make prey a lot more fun. Like make the raw content more fun. You
Tier five ritual site with all challenges on is solo fun. And I really finish. Yeah, no, they're cool. I By the way, I like ritual sites. And like I said, I think they should expand that system, which they are with heroic world
tier. That little mode, that little UI that toggles up and you just pick affixes, they should they should just do that with a lot more [ __ ] in the game. huge of on the let's do it side of make
harder solo content. Yes. That's why I'm very interested to see be. I have no idea. Now, my thought process is is that if it is coming in the point five, like since it
is, it should be pretty difficult considering we're a third like through the season, and we should have some power. So, should be difficult. So, we'll have to see. Anyways, they also removed the
hunter's momentum, which I'm pretty sure is when you die, you lose the momentum [ __ ] And then significantly increased the number of the coalescing anguish spawns in the open world. So, instead of traps, they've added more
anguishes. That's cool. Which I guess is more thematic technically because then you have to fight the anguish little mob, which is fine, but once again, I still just don't think
Like it's the same concept as the traps. You traps, I'm just looking for anguish. >> And you're fighting the anguish. >> And I'm fighting anguish. I don't know. I guess.

prey and hopefully they they keep expanding on it. Not only that they for twos, threes, and solo shuffle so out some you know rating and get some achievements on the the

druids. So pretty insane, pretty insane to see. So Blizzard saw that and within 12 hours they absolutely nerfed their damage by a [ __ ] ton. I think their AoE damage got

so-called active mitigation was introduced back in the days when dungeons were simple and tanking was not as demanding as today's mythic plus routing, pulling rhythm, interrupt survival, etc. Tanks already have active
mitigations. They're called defensive cooldowns and tanks have a lot of them. They won't be bored without pressing iron fur fur shield block every 6 seconds. And those so-called active mitigations shield block, SR, demon
extra buff that gives a vital defense for tanks with a short duration that needs to be constantly refreshed, okay? It is simply boring and just another required buff to keep tracking like slice and dice for rogues or Inquisition
for red savage war for ferals in the old days. No DPS or tank thinks this is a type of maintaining essential buff is fun. And when tanks just macro iron fur and demon spikes to their abilities, honestly, not a terrible point.

I don't quite know where to begin. My connection to fantasy and Celtic lore Caribbean. Later, in the Bronx, I discovered Tolkien. Back in Jersey, where I was born, I found Dungeons and Dragons through my Gary What is that,

Then came Zelda and Warcraft and honestly, they irritated me. They didn't feel real. In 2004, just before deploying to Iraq, I saw World of Warcraft in a mall. I picked it up at launch and played it
Then, I walked away for a couple of years only logging in occasionally, usually to escape the weight of flying MEDEVAC missions and carrying the MEDEVAC missions and carrying the wounded and the dead. Watching people
treat the red cross on the side of an aircraft, an air ambulance, like it was a target to unload ammunition into. Ooh, very tough one. Very tough. After returning from the Middle East and serving at the US Embassy in Israel, a
co-pilot I had trained with came to me. He was falling apart, divorced, PTSD, hanging on by a thread. I told him to try a game. He picked up World of Warcraft. He asked if I played. I told
him yes, on and off. At the time, I was an instructor at SERE school, S E R E school. I'm not sure what that is, I'm sorry. Often spending 45 days in the field teaching survival to young pilots. He
didn't just play, he recruited half the base. That's crazy. SERE. Oh, got you. Eventually, when I returned to garrison, many of us came together in game. That's
nuts. That was before the military cracked down, blocking websites, issuing memos, warning that the game was toxic and addictive based on behavioral health reports. World of Warcraft was wildly populated with many and heavily
criticized by counselors who argued gaming addiction was a real threat. They weren't entirely wrong. Some people could not put it down. Some preferred a screen over confronting their reality. But,
here's the truth. For many, the game saved lives. For others, Wow, very interesting story. Yo, Juan, you're going off right now. This is the type of stories we're looking for when we talk about the
of Azaroth. Juan, you are the industry standard for the you are the industry standard for the tales of Azaroth right now.
I understand the horrors of war and what it means to take a life and save one. I When I stepped away from the game, the pain came back. stepping away meant there was no coming
back at all, no resurrection. Those who stayed often coped better. Those who left, sometimes because of commanders, clinicians, or family who didn't understand, lost something vital. For
me, the game kept me alive during some very dark times. I played on and off over the years. I went back to graduate school. I returned again when I needed distance from darker thoughts.
Then, came 10 years in Europe. Wow, jeez. I played on European servers, but eventually returned to US servers. Language barriers were real and the Spanish servers just weren't for me. I
took another break, traveled the world, and met my German wife in Greece. Before our first daughter was born, I committed to serious counseling to confront and defeat what I call the Legion that had taken up free residence in my mind. I
became a father. I entered the corporate world. I rose quickly and became a senior executive, something I both love and hate. I've seen excellence, but I've also seen incompetence that makes me question how
some people end up in positions of authority. That's funny. Here's the next part, ready?
I raided with high-level guilds, met gold farmers in real life, and partied with guildmates and some truly insane players in Florida. That gamer fight that broke out at a club, La Vela, that was us. A military
guild that got into it with some behind-the-screen rangers, and it got ugly. I even had a neighbor who made a living leveling and PvPing characters. He later went into politics and now sits in a legislature Oh my god.
I've met angels, demons, freaks, and people from all walks of life in this people from all walks of life in this crazy virtual world. Still, every time I came back, something frustrated me. Not being able to fly mounts I had worked
endlessly to earn in Burning Crusade, remembering how long it took to grind for my first tiger mount in Darnassus, those things mattered. I mean, what the hell, I can't fly in Draenor? As we say in Jersey, you're breaking my balls.
Washington, D.C., away from my family in Florida. I debated returning to the game again until I came across two Jersey guys on YouTube, abducted by Cubans and relocated to Florida under the Witness Protection Program, who somehow managed
to break everything down step by step for this old man. Holy [ __ ] That pulled me back in. Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in. The Godfather Part III.
Lance. Yo, Lance putting in jokes mid-story is mid-story is [ __ ] fried. Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back. Yo, fried.
That's crazy. Over the course of my life, I fought many battles, childhood life, I fought many battles, childhood struggles, military service, war, flight school, law school, fatherhood. Now, I face a quieter fight, a health condition
that drains me and sometimes leaves me in my bed for long stretches. Through it all, this game has given me something real, hearths to return to, a better state of mind, and resurrections when I needed them most to avoid them all.
The game keeps my mind away from the weight of what I carry now, just as it did during and after war, and during long separations from my family. For the record, the government never sent me back to Florida after the presidential
Outland. I miss Stranglethorn Vale, the jungles, the energy, even the idea of a Cuban sandwich. Suramar City doesn't quite do it for me. I started as a night elf hunter, and that was my main for years,
but recently, I created a character inspired by my daughter, and somehow that became my new main. Maybe that says something. I don't need awards, accolades, or gear. I'm content being part of team Sky, Lance, Liliana, and
the Comeback Guilds. Though my situation is erratic and uncertain at times, I still contribute to my online community. I run alts and other and other characters through mythics, and even help a few with my new nemesis, Noaeus,
tanking for guildies whenever I can. I guess what has always defined me is servant leadership. I guess I wrote this because I don't know if there's another resurrection scroll waiting for me down the road. Pain is weakness, even the
