> Source: [Best Time to Upload YouTube Videos (99% Miss This!)](https://youtube.com/watch?v=KrWHRBL9Ylw)

## Summary

The video explains the critical role of posting timing for YouTube success, debunking the myth that content quality alone guarantees views. It provides practical methods for finding the optimal upload time, including analyzing audience behavior and using YouTube Studio's 'When Your Viewers Are Online' feature.

### Key Points

- **The Problem: Great Content, Zero Views** [00:01] — Even with quality content, catchy thumbnails, and optimized titles, a video can fail to reach viewers if posted at the wrong time. Timing is a crucial factor often overlooked.
- **How to Check Best Time in YouTube Studio** [00:42] — The video promises to show how to check the best posting time in YouTube Studio in just 2 minutes, emphasizing practical steps.
- **Why Timing Matters: The 9 AM Example** [00:55] — Posting at 9 AM when your audience (e.g., students) is in school/college leads to low CTR, signaling YouTube not to push the video. Posting at 4-5 PM when they're free would yield better engagement.
- **Subscription Call to Action** [02:03] — The creator asks viewers to subscribe and hit the bell notification, noting that 90% of viewers don't subscribe.
- **Best Time Varies by Audience** [02:17] — The best time is not universal; it depends on your specific audience. For example, a channel with a 60+ audience may have different peak times than one targeting students.
- **Golden Rule: Understand Your Audience** [03:00] — Before posting, understand your audience's online habits. Posting randomly without this knowledge is a big mistake.
- **For Beginners: Trending vs. Evergreen Content** [03:14] — For trending content (entertainment, memes), post immediately to ride the trend. For informational/evergreen content, post between 4-6 PM, as 5-7 PM is peak scrolling time.
- **Engagement Prompt** [04:04] — The creator asks viewers to comment their chosen timing to see who implements it seriously.
- **For Established Channels: Analyze Successful Videos** [04:18] — If a video got 1000+ views, check its posting time. If it performed well at 4 PM, that's likely your best time. Post consistently at that time to build a pattern for YouTube.
- **Powerful Method: When Your Viewers Are Online** [05:08] — Use YouTube Studio's 'When Your Viewers Are Online' feature to see a heat map of when your audience is active. Dark purple indicates high activity.
- **Step-by-Step: Accessing the Feature** [05:23] — Open YouTube Studio app, go to Analytics, click Audience tab, then see 'When your viewers are on YouTube'.
- **Post 1 Hour Before Peak Time** [06:21] — Find your best time from the graph and post 1 hour before. This allows YouTube to process and send notifications, so your video is ready when viewers come online.
- **Subscriber Base is More Important** [07:16] — Even with perfect timing, a small subscriber base slows growth. The creator promotes a video on getting 1000 subscribers.

### Conclusion

Posting timing is a critical factor for YouTube success, and it varies by audience. Use YouTube Studio's analytics to find your audience's peak online times and post consistently 1 hour before that window to maximize reach and engagement.

Quality content, catchy thumbnails, killer titles, descriptions are also properly optimized. Everything was done on point but the video did not go viral. Views zero, reach zero. And you are thinking that I did everything right. Then what is the problem? The real problem is
what is the problem? The real problem is timing. You just missed one thing. Right which decides whether your video will play or not. And that is the time to post the video. If you upload it at the wrong time, no matter how good the video is, it will
not reach the people. And today in this video I am going to tell you exactly when to post the video. How to find out what is the best time for your channel to post videos and everything practical. I'll
show you on my phone how you can go into your YouTube Studio and check this in just 2 minutes. So watch the video till the end because this small setting because this small setting
Timing isn't just an extra YouTube tip. This made a great video, a perfect thumbnail, a solid title, and you uploaded it at 9:00 AM. But your audience is all those people in your school and your college. They ca
n't open YouTube. Now YouTube showed your video on some people's home page at 9:00 am to test it but they did not click on it because at that time your real audience is not online in their school and college. And then when the
n't click, at that point YouTube gets a signal that people are And what is the result? Your CTR (click through rate) of the video will be low and then YouTube will not push that video further.
Now imagine if you had posted the same video at 4-5:00 pm when your real audience was free and scrolling through YouTube, the story would have been different. They would click, watch the video, like it and even comment. So the only difference here is the
timing. And if you thought that timing doesn't matter, then break this myth today. Timing matters and that too matters a lot. Another thing that matters a lot to me is subscription. 90% of the people
watch the video but do not subscribe. So if you want videos related to YouTube subscribe to the channel and also press the bell notification so that you get the updates of upcoming videos first. Now another important thing and this confuses a lot of new uters.
if I hear in a YouTube video that I should post at 5:00 or 6:00, then I will just start posting at 5:00. But brother, your best time and my best time may not necessarily be the same. It could be completely different. For me it might be 9:00 AM.
9:00 p.m. If your school and college audience is active at 4-5:00 pm. It happens online. And I have a 60 plus audience. There is a large audience above 60 years of age pm. So the time of posting for you and me will be completely different. And
if you are posting randomly at any time without knowing your audience then you are making a big mistake. Sometimes the video plays, sometimes it doesn't and we don't even know what the reason is. That's why there is a golden rule on YouTube. First understand your audience
and then post accordingly. So first of all let's talk about those YouTubers who are completely new and whose channel has just started. Those who do not have any viral video and do not know when to post the video. So what will you do?
Post simple random things. But strategically it means using a little bit of brain. Do n't apply too much. Look, if your niche is entertainment, comedy, memes or you make videos on trending topics, then there is a simple rule. If something is trending,
jump in immediately. Don't waste any time because the life of a trend is very short. It is a trend today and will end tomorrow. But if you or informational content like I did in this
important. So you post between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Why? The time from 5 to 7:00 is the peak time. When most people are Scrolling through YouTube. Your video will appear in front of them and they will
increase significantly. So the immediately. Timing doesn't matter that much. For other types of videos, the best time is between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. And if you are a complete beginner and are going to follow this rule
then comment below the timing. Let's see how many people will implement it seriously. Comment. Now if any one of your videos has gone viral, has reached 1000 views, 2000 views or 10000 views, then congratulations, you
now have the data and now what you have to do is study the analytics of that video. if you have not done it then I will drop the link in the description below, this app is very important for every YouTuber, so go to your most successful video,
whether it is a video with 1000 views or a video with 500 views, check at what time you posted that video, if you posted that video at 4:00 pm and it got good views, then it means that 4:00 pm is the best time for your audience.
And what do you have to do now? You have to post consistently at the same time. If you post your next video at 4:00 PM, YouTube will see a pattern and YouTube will see a pattern and
you are posting today at 4:00, tomorrow at 9:00 , the day after tomorrow at 7:00, then the YouTube algorithm will get confused. So there is consistency. Choose a time and is consistency. Choose a time and
also be pushed. Now comes the most powerful method which works for beginners as well as good number of views. And this method is a comes a feature called When Your Viewers Are Online. And this feature
tells you exactly on what day and at what time your viewers are online on YouTube. First, open the YouTube Studio app. Go inside the app. Click here for analytics below. Now click on the Audience tab above. And
When your viewers are on YouTube. Now this is what I want. Ok you will see the graph. There is a purple color heat map. The days are written in it, Sunday, left you get time slots. The
Now look at one thing carefully in this. Where the purple color is dark, it means the purple color has become dark. Meaning people are online and where there is purple color light it means not many people are online. For example, if we look at my analytics,
not watching YouTube at that time, then if you give them time at 1:00 pm on Sunday, they come online. Ok? But as soon as it is 4 or 5 in the evening, he starts YouTube and the purple color becomes dark. Meaning people come online.
best time for my audience is between 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Most of my videos are watched at this time. What do you do now? Look at your graph. Open your UI Studio and look at the graph. Find your best time
from there and post 1 hour before that time. Because YouTube takes time to process videos , optimize them, and send notifications. If you post at 5:00 PM when people are already active, they might be watching someone else's videos at that time.
post at 4:00, 1 hour before, then by the time they come online your notifications must have reached them and as soon as they open YouTube, your video will be the first one to appear before them and if you understood this method then
getting many such YouTube growth methods in future and also press the bell notification so that you keep getting updates of upcoming videos first. So now fix your best time. Post every video at the same time and see how your views stabilize.
channel grows. But there is one more thing that is more important than timing and that is your subscriber base. Because even if you post at the right time, if your videos immediately, your growth will remain slow. So I have
