[0:15] [music] [0:20] [music] [0:27] >> I [0:30] I can't I I I I can't even I'm I'm so [0:33] I'm speechless. [0:34] I'm I I I'm actually speechless. [0:38] The kid in me just [0:41] just screamed out in joy. [0:44] I [0:45] cannot believe what I just read. [0:48] This this is this is my childhood. [0:52] This this is the I [0:53] This is not fake. The by the way, this [0:55] is not fake. There was a legitimate [0:57] interview [0:58] that came out today. [1:00] The main cast of Code Lyoko [1:04] are coming back [1:06] and they are coming together to continue [1:09] the series to make season five. It's not [1:13] a reboot. It's not a live action. It is [1:16] a just a direct sequel continuation of [1:19] the events of season four. [1:22] I [1:24] I didn't think I would ever see the day [1:26] that Code Lyoko would actually get some [1:31] form of continuation, but [1:35] guys, [1:36] like it's been [1:39] 20 years. I I I I think yeah, it's been [1:41] like 20 years [1:43] since season four, okay? It It's been a [1:45] long time. Two decades. [1:47] Two freaking decades. [1:53] Oh my Oh my god. Like dude dude, this [1:56] just made my day. [1:57] This just made my night. LIKE [2:00] YO. YO. [2:03] >> [laughter] [2:04] >> IT'S SO GOOD, MAN. LIKE, I'm I'm so [2:08] happy. Like [2:10] I I dude [2:12] I love Code Lyoko. It was the when [2:16] I was growing up. Like, it was one of my [2:17] favorite cartoons to watch. Like, [2:20] alongside, let's say, Ed, Edd n Eddy, [2:22] Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack, [2:23] and stuff like that. I love Code Lyoko. [2:26] It's one of those cartoons that was just [2:28] It stood out. It was honestly ahead of [2:30] its time. And I I know a lot of people [2:33] that they've never watched Code Lyoko, [2:34] they have no idea what it's about, and [2:36] they took a look at like the designs of [2:38] the characters. You're like, "What's [2:39] going on with their foreheads?" I [2:40] understand. Big and big foreheads, yes. [2:42] And I mean, even the fans make fun of [2:44] it. But, the story was just way ahead of [2:46] its time. And honestly, like, it's one [2:49] of the big reasons I think why I even [2:51] fell in love with anime eventually is [2:53] because the story lines within Code [2:55] Lyoko honestly is very anime inspired. [2:58] Like, just straight up, very anime [3:00] inspired. And honestly, it predates SAO, [3:03] and it has kind of a a story where it [3:05] goes into a virtual reality type world, [3:07] kind of like how SAO does. And so, it [3:10] was way ahead of that. I don't think it [3:11] was like the first like story to ever do [3:13] something like that. I mean, I know you [3:15] have like an anime like Hack Sign, for [3:16] instance, I believe that predates Code [3:18] Lyoko but [3:19] the point still stands is that um Code [3:22] Lyoko is a childhood classic. And the [3:25] fact that it's not just getting a [3:27] continuation, but the core team, the [3:30] original cast and team is coming back [3:32] for this is insane. And now, one of the [3:35] big things though that this interview [3:37] that came out literally just a few hours [3:38] ago details is that basically there is [3:41] rights issues. Now, I'm going to take an [3:44] educated guess since obviously it's been [3:46] uh like two decades since Code Lyoko [3:48] like season 4 ended, you know, there's [3:51] going to be a lot of different [3:51] companies, different rights, and stuff [3:53] when it comes to probably using the [3:54] music, to using the characters, the [3:56] licensing, all sorts of different stuff. [3:58] So, when you factor that in, it makes a [4:00] lot of sense like there would be some [4:01] rights issues that they got to resolve [4:02] before they can fully 100% confirm it. [4:05] But, at the very least, the core team [4:07] literally just straight up said, "Yeah, [4:08] that a sequel is in the works. They're [4:10] working on it or writing it at the very [4:11] least." And I dude, I'm just going to [4:14] say, when this does come out, I'm [4:16] I might even make videos on it. Like, [4:18] I'm serious. Like, it is it's it's my [4:19] childhood, man. Like, [4:21] this just this just made my night, man. [4:23] Like holy [4:26] I want to leave it at that. I I just [4:27] briefly wanted to make this video. I [4:28] don't know how many people are even [4:30] going to care about this video. I don't [4:32] know how many of you guys are even Code [4:34] Lyoko fans, but this is insane news for [4:37] me. Like, this this is honestly one of [4:39] the biggest pieces of news I've seen all [4:40] year for like announcements, at least [4:42] for me. But, uh you all have a fantastic [4:44] day or night, wherever you live. Be [4:46] safe, stay healthy. Chibbi out.
