[00:05] yeah I can I can change the lighting now and look look at this you see that you see that light back there check this out [00:18] like one of those YouTubers that uh uh gamer gamer dudes let me just fix this should I keep it that way I'm gonna keep it that way I think it looks pretty cool the United States is known to be the land of opportunity and As Americans we [00:33] are taught that capitalism is a good thing and boy are we standing by it as we live in a digital world people have learned to capitalize off of social learned to capitalize off of social media trends in order to gain clout Fame [00:45] money you name it even large corporations like McDonald's profited Grimace shake they literally didn't have to do anything they just made the shake tossed it out to the public and Tick Tock handled the rest and then a few [00:58] weeks after Grimace Barbie came out with a shake and then that had its own Trend and even before that when across the spider-verse was going crazy they had the Whopper the spider-verse Whopper uh but anyways I'm getting sidetracked [01:12] specifically we're going to talk about what's happening right now in text talk live as we all know or as we're all familiar with Tick Tock live is the Wild Wild West uh some lives are tame While others open up your mouth [01:38] Tech talk usually from my experience for what I've seen in my for you Pages they tend to promote uh or sell a product uh live or they profit off of their viewers [01:50] battle it's basically two people that compete or battle by pushing their viewers to send money sorry gifts for three minutes until the winner is declared based on who has the most money I I keep using that word uh gifts in [02:06] tend to dwell in the Cesspool that is Tick Tock live and I will admit I watching a live not because it's entertaining to me but because the lives [02:18] I see are so weird that I just can't look away and this latest trend has to be one of the most strangest yet clever Tick Tock trends that has hit the app so Grimace Shake was awesome but let's just get the ballroom I'll just show you a [02:31] video so you know what I'm talking about you trying to say something let's be real close put the pause on them you don't want to see these hands pretzel too salty [02:45] too salty ah ah ah ah ah flowers I don't really get that a lot thanks [03:01] party some well-known commentators like Charlie or Papa Meade I've already know what's going on right now basically people are acting like these NPC characters that say a little dialogue or perform an action based on what type of [03:16] name NPC trend I know clever now where did this trend originate from well a lot of people have agreed this Japanese tick tocker called natuwe Coco otherwise known as the Ohio Queen started this trend a long time ago [03:33] and it reached popularity based on another Tick Tock which I'm going to into a little something because I know somebody's probably going to ask it in the comments why she called the Ohio Queen natuikoko is her official Tick [03:47] Tock name but a lot of people know her as the Ohio Queen and she's called that because she frequently goes on these lives with this other Japanese tick tocker called satoyu and he he is also known as an Ohio man or the Ohio final [04:01] boss here's just a little video so you know what I'm talking about Ohio [Music] what [Music] [04:15] [Music] um [04:29] if you're not already used to watching cringe on Tick Tock then click away from this video because it's going to get worse from here anyways the NPC Trend gained popularity when this Creator named pinky doll real started to go live [04:43] named pinky doll real started to go live almost every day and she just reacted to the gifts similar to what I said in the beginning [05:06] he got me feeling like a cow girl let me run it huh yeah so you got me feeling like a cowgirl let me run it slay huh slay huh slay huh mmm ice cream so good gang gang gang gang oh thank you Stewart blue blue it's [05:22] me oh thank you baby you got me feeling like a queen gang gang gang gang gang gang yeah people in the comments has also said that she would be going live for around five hours straight without breaking character unless that is if [05:36] your kid goes uh up to her during the live uh which is mostly followed by her telling her kid you know go back to your room or go to sleep didn't I tell you to room or go to sleep didn't I tell you to go to sleep amazing [05:55] stop no go to your room go to your room now no go to your room go to your room now said cat thank you baby this is so cool but hey she's making bread so I can't [06:11] really argue against it speaking of the bread let's actually talk about how much she's actually making with these lives two thousand to four thousand dollars two thousand to four thousand dollars per stream let me repeat it for you 2 [06:25] 000 to 4 000 per stream I probably clipped that I per stream I probably clipped that I just can't fathom just how easily entertained we are to the point where we'll donate some we'll donate money to [06:40] a person just so they can do a little quirky chicken I'm never doing that ever two to four thousand dollars per stream looks like let me put it in a week basis perspective now I don't know how long she's been doing this but if she went [06:55] she's been doing this but if she went live just once a day for a week she live just once a day for a week she would be making roughly around 14 to 28 000 dollars per week if these numbers are consistent [07:08] per stream she's making almost half the average American salary in just a week you know how sad it is for like someone working long hours maybe in the office or they're a labor worker and they just want to decompress they go on Tick Tock [07:23] and they see this live of this girl reacting to hundreds if not thousands of donations that she's receiving and she's doing that for five hours straight gaining almost double what this other person that's working [07:39] person that's working 40 hours a week gets in a whole month I basically she's making a lot more than what the average person would I know I sound like I'm hating but good for her I wish I have the courage to do something [07:54] like this but I just care too much about my image that I just I don't know I anyways people found out that she was making bank with these lives and like I United States land of opportunity land of taking opportunities a lot of people [08:11] started capitalizing off of this trend amazing amazing I guess [08:24] gifts whoa amazing and one thank you for the basketball no and one thing for the gummy bears thanks for the tape thanks for the rose it smells so good [08:40] thanks for the VG's gang gang listen I guarantee if you go on Tick Tock right now you go on the little live button and you do like scroll a little scroll a few times you will find around I guarantee like three to four people doing this [08:54] like three to four people doing this trend like Non-Stop trend like Non-Stop oh my God my battery died no [09:06] are you serious so my camera died some people go as far as my camera died some people go as far as to add their own little twist to to add their own little twist to certain gifts that they receive [09:18] the likes thank you for the likes glizzies [09:30] hey yo yum ice cream I love ice cream no spicy glasses watch these videos these lives I feel like I'm losing a brain cell hi it's me [09:42] uh from tomorrow the next day I just woke up and I saw this video of this guy who works at Home Depot that accidentally exposes the customer's information while he was going live doing the NPC trend [10:00] for the account is it galvanized yes okay great you have is it galvanized yes okay great you have how many [10:14] yes liquid New Jersey that's where I am right now thank you uh-huh [Music] [10:30] though he ends up exposing this guy's phone number to 2 000 plus people which is insane I mean I feel like he didn't have time to react in the situation he quickly as possible so he just put his phone down but at the same time why are [10:45] you doing the NPC Trend at work but even though the video says that he got fired the guy actually came out with a video saying that he didn't and it was just a customer service call that he received and you know that was that I'm not [10:58] really buying it because just today he posted a get ready with me to go to work I just think it's funny considering the situation that's going on right now it people that he still has the job like hey I'm doing a get ready with me to go [11:14] to work and the only work you guys know that I have is Home Depot so I'm going that I have is Home Depot so I'm going to Home Depot right now to do my job and act like an NPC again on live and expose more people's numbers so get ready with [11:28] something goofy that popped up on my for you page that I thought I should put in the video but yeah back to the me from yesterday I'm pretty sure however that yesterday I'm pretty sure however that these NPCs are pretty much aware that [11:43] what they're doing is cringe uh but they still continue to do it because gifts are rolling in you know money is money at the end of the day I even saw one guy physically cringe at himself while he was doing this trend but he just sucked [11:56] it up and just continued to do it because like I said money is money thank you for the thank you for the cat Paul [12:17] Honestly though I applaud them because it takes courage to make a fool out of yourself for the purpose of entertaining people and also receiving something in return well in this case being the money I also think though it's a little bit [12:30] degrading I mean you're basically putting on like a circus show for people and you're basically this like circus animal just performing these acts that people are telling you to do uh but hey a win is a win but just to [12:43] finish off I think this trend just goes to show just how far people will go to get money and it's just fascinating to see the many ways that people have trend a lot of people are going to capitalize off of future Trends and I [12:57] of small creators that I've seen that have done these Trends back to back and the tick tock community and in social media in general so I think it's pretty good uh you just will not catch me doing this Tick Tock live thing at all in any [13:14] Universe anywhere never will I do this yeah because I see a lot of people hating on this trend saying oh it's cringy it's bad it's you know what's bad about it you know people are willingly putting money into these [13:28] creators and these creators are giving them a show you know there's it's it's a whole ecosystem you know you give I give back and the way that you want it don't know if I explain that right but honestly I don't have a problem with it [13:41] you do you as long as you're not doing anything weird and crazy like the have you all seen The Nair video Why YouTube hasn't taken down that video I don't know why but anyways that's that's a video for another day but anyways [13:56] that's it I just wanted to show you guys what's going on in Tick Tock right now uh something interesting I wanted to share but yeah I hope you learned something from this video uh [14:08] I don't know I just don't know how you can apply this uh into a real world scenario uh yeah did you know water is good for you that that that's that's beneficial to you drink drink water drink water today [14:24] yeah I will leave you with that bye
