It's okay to share your opinions very colorfully but the idea is you just don't wanna get carried away [01:52] or your monetization limited. because you're not gonna be able to show your content Next, do not ever under any circumstance show people [02:06] or how to get around specific features on other websites. but don't make it because if you do, in order to lose your channel. [02:21] if you get three strikes, you're gonna lose your channel a couple of those videos and then everything's over for you, In fact, I got a community guideline strike on this channel [02:34] And what happened was I made a video that showed people and get the links for a thumbnail because I was showing people how to do that, [02:48] and fortunately, I was able to get it released that you do not wanna do this This is only if you need to download your own thumbnail [03:01] inside YouTube Studio at the time, But fortunately, I was able to get it, you know, overturned. where you do not use the required disclosures by YouTube. [03:17] or doing giveaways on your YouTube channel, For example, you have to have official rules that YouTube is not sponsoring your contest in any way. [03:33] so in the event that you collect any information you need to clearly state exactly If you plan to do giveaways, I'm gonna put links [03:47] Next is adding too many hashtags to your videos. in a single video or playlist. for viewers or listeners who are searching. [04:01] we'll ignore each hashtag on that content. from your uploads or from search." are two completely different things. [04:16] and then you have all the words, you know, mashed together. of your upload process on YouTube where you add words Hashtags have results pages, [04:31] then YouTube shows other videos that are using that hashtag. is you do not wanna add celebrities if you are not talking about that content creator [04:45] YouTube and viewers see this as misleading, then they can end up losing the channel over those Also, you may or may not know [04:58] just like videos can. then in that case, you are putting yourself at risk But if you are talking about that person in your video [05:11] to use the image as long as you have rights If you do make content where you do talk about celebrities on Wikipedia, they're a great place for images [05:25] about giving credit and things like that, Next, you do not want to use music or graphics or videos that you do not have the legal right to use. [05:41] or if you didn't get the license from the free resource you should not use it in your videos And because you don't have permission to use it, [05:55] but if you're using stuff which is like a real life thing that you gotta deal with. that you use in your YouTube video so that you can make sure [06:08] On our free music service, Creator Mix, to use the music however you want. to use that music indefinitely, [06:20] that gives you permission to use it. so that you can ensure that you have permission to use it. "Hey, my buddy said that I could use their song [06:33] If that friend of yours ends up having some record label then that person can cause problems for you. Now let's talk about safety, [06:48] and when you put yourself out there, and sometimes it's people and sometimes it's people that can cause a lot of problems [07:00] First, do not let the same email on your About Me page The reason for that is because for someone to, one, abuse the email [07:16] Two, it also is one step that is removed Instead, set up a completely different Gmail account This is gonna be the email account [07:30] and you are also gonna have people reach out Basically, if somebody wants to contact you for any reason, YouTube channel account email clean [07:44] to make sure that you can clearly If all this is making sense so far You also wanna be extremely careful [07:58] because there's a lot of things where they're using Google and it's not really necessary. or things that might need access to your YouTube channel [08:13] However, only connect to those things. Instead, use a different account that you use and websites currently have access to your account, [08:27] Click Security on the left and scroll down the page. to third-party apps and services." that are not absolutely necessary for your YouTube channel. [08:42] or around your neighborhood, of what it is that you're showing in the background. Make sure that you blur out house numbers. [08:55] make sure you blur out, you know, some of those numbers. make sure that you blur those out. that say where you work or bumper stickers on your car [09:07] You wanna make sure that you don't show stickers for where you work or maybe the complex that you live in. or any information about a company [09:20] Now, I know some of this might sound a little bit overboard, or at least mindful about those types of things, to what it is that you're doing on YouTube as well. [09:32] make sure that you hide your address from public view through all registrars. like directnic.com/whois and look up a domain name. [09:46] somebody can find your address from this. offer that service for free, at least for the first year, and you just wanna make sure that it doesn't expire. [09:58] that you're being mindful of your email address I personally use Camtasia as one of the ways that makes it to where if you do accidentally show something [10:12] if it's just you can't help but show the email address, If you already upload something to YouTube or something else that you want to hide. [10:26] inside of the editor that is available I'll put a link to Camtasia down in the description Next, never click on a link from your email. [10:40] Other people are like, "Huh, why?" there's a lot of scamming going on right now that they are a brand. [10:52] This is great. Love what you're doing. And then you're like, "Sweet! And then you start having those interactions [11:05] They send you a PDF, you download it, because you've downloaded that to your computer that ends up getting into your computer [11:17] directly into your YouTube channel The same exact thing can happen when you click on links So you just wanna make sure that you're being very mindful [11:31] One thing that I like to do is if somebody sends me an email then in that case I'll actually go and and just look for it. So because of that, I'll actually search [11:46] And I don't download PDFs Because hackers and scammers are getting so good, my friend Liron has an entire YouTube channel about safety [11:58] when it comes to these sorts of things. if that's something that you're interested I have a video about hidden YouTube settings [12:11] and you can just go ahead and click into that now Thanks for watching. I'll see you over there.
