## Summary

This guide covers the Rotmire fight in Sporefall on Normal and Heroic difficulty, focusing on managing mushrooms and adds. Key mechanics include Putrid Fist, Bursting Pustules, Festering Vines, and Awaken Fungi. The fight requires careful kiting and group coordination.

### Key Points

- **Putrid Fist** [0:12] — Knocks the tank in the air and stacks a debuff. Tank swap after each or keep boss until it hurts.
- **Bursting Pustules** [0:21] — Big raid damage, use healer cooldown.
- **Festering Vines** [0:26] — Targets players with rings that drop vine patches. Run rings out of group and drop vines near edges.
- **Awaken Fungi** [0:36] — Spawns adds (Shroomlings) that fixate on players. Kite them together into a tight pile for faster killing.
- **Fungal Bloom** [1:00] — Heals remaining adds and spawns Bursting Mushrooms on add corpses. Kill mushrooms quickly before they cast.
- **Heroic Sporecaps** [1:28] — New adds that don't move. Spawn with purple circle. Kite adds on top of Sporecap or split raid for burst phase.

### Conclusion

Master the add kiting and mushroom management to succeed in Rotmire. On Heroic, adapt to Sporecaps by grouping adds strategically.

## Transcript

Hi! I’m Hazel, and this is a
guide to the Rotmire fight in
Sporefall on Normal and Heroic difficulty. This is
a straightforward fight that’ll have
you managing many mushrooms in 12.0.7.
Putrid Fist knocks his tank in the air
and stacks up a debuff.. You could tank
swap after each one, or you could just
keep the boss until it starts to hurt.
Bursting Pustules does big Raid Damage, that’s
a nice spot for a little healer cooldown.
Festering Vines targets a few players
with rings who then drop vine patches.
Run those rings out of the group
and drop your vines near the edges.
Awaken Fungi Spawns adds. Watch your feet as they
come out. The Shroomlings will fixate people,
and it’s very important that you kite them
all together into a nice tight pile. It’ll
make them faster to kill, and it’ll save a you a
big headache later. Don’t be too afraid of getting
punched by your add- they don’t hurt that bad
and it’s really key that the adds die grouped up.
After two waves of adds, the boss does Fungal
Bloom. That’ll heal any remaining adds,
so hopefully they’ve died already. It’ll also
spawn Bursting Mushrooms on the corpse of each
add. Those mushrooms need to be killed quickly
before they finish their Bursting Cast. Beating
that timer is drastically easier if all the fixate
adds earlier were kited onto one nice little spot.
You can mark a stack point if you like and make
sure everyone brings their adds there to die.
On Normal, that’s it. On Heroic, we get a new
type of add called Sporecaps. They spawn at
the same time as the fixate guys and they’re kind
of annoying because they won’t move. You can see
where they’re spawning by this purple circle. They
do plenty of damage while they’re up, but the real
issue is that when it comes time to race down the
bursting mushrooms, the Sporecap ones will be in
kind of awkward spots. You can either do what we
did here, which is kite all adds on top of the
sporecap that spawned with them and then split the
raid in two for the burst phase where you’ll have
two patches of bursting mushrooms. Or, if you
wanted one big pile and a lone second mushroom,
use the first Sporecap as your stack point for
both rounds of fixates, and then send ranged
to kill the solo mushroom that spawned on the
second Sporecap. Either way should work fine.
And that’s Rotmire! Thanks for watching,
have fun in Sporefall and have
a wonderful, wonderful day. Bye!
