[0:00] I came across a video that makes [0:01] absolutely zero sense. 228,000 views on [0:06] a channel with only 6,000 subscribers. [0:09] And once I figured out why this [0:10] happened, everything changed. Now, [0:12] here's exactly how I found it. I was [0:14] inside of Vid IQ researching outlier [0:16] titles and not the typical top videos, [0:18] but the ones that are massively [0:19] overperforming for small channels. So, [0:21] after filtering it down and looking at [0:23] the results from the views versus [0:25] subscriber count, which is also known as [0:26] an outlier title, this video was doing [0:29] way above average and it jumped out [0:32] immediately to me. So, I broke it down [0:34] into three things. And the third is [0:36] something that not a lot of creators are [0:38] talking about in this space on how to [0:40] find these outliers, but also how to [0:42] rework them so that way they work for [0:43] your channel. Now, I'm going to pull up [0:45] the video so that way you can see [0:46] exactly what title this is, what made it [0:49] pop, and how we can reconstruct this to [0:51] make our own title as well, and also how [0:54] you can find your own outlier title. So, [0:55] the video I found, which has everything [0:57] to do with cats, it says, "This cat [0:59] refuses to eat until we play piano every [1:02] morning." Okay, so looking at that, [1:05] you're like, "Okay, why did this video [1:07] blow up?" And again, 6,000 subscribers [1:10] and 228,000 views in 20 days. So, the [1:15] first thing I look at is the structure [1:17] of it, right? So, there's three main [1:18] things I'm looking at in the structure [1:20] of this title. One is what question does [1:22] it answer? What curiosity does it [1:24] trigger? And also, what makes it stand [1:26] out in this niche? So, let's look at [1:28] this, right? So, this cat refuses to eat [1:30] until we play piano every night. So, the [1:33] first part of it, right? Starting with a [1:35] this statement. So this cat. Okay. So [1:37] you're putting a little bit of emphasis [1:39] on the cat portion obviously. So you [1:41] could do this again in any niche. You [1:43] can change it out. And I'm going to show [1:44] you how you're going to be able to do [1:45] that. But this cat refuses to eat. So [1:48] right there, bold statement from the [1:49] beginning. This cat refuses to eat. So [1:51] immediately you're asking yourself, why [1:53] is this cat refusing to eat? And then [1:55] when you have the solution to it until [1:57] we play piano every morning, someone's [1:59] going to be like, what do you mean? Like [2:01] you play piano and then now your cat [2:03] will eat. I got to see. Maybe that's a [2:06] trick I should try or maybe it's just [2:08] something that is really cool with your [2:09] cat, right? It builds intrigue, right? [2:12] So ultimately the viewer now wants to [2:14] click to find out the solution to this [2:16] or the answer or also to see if it is [2:18] true and it is something that again is [2:20] not clickbait. Now I know you're [2:21] wondering, but that's great. This is [2:23] about cats, but what does this do with [2:25] my niche? Maybe I'm in the fitness [2:27] niche. What is having a cat refusing to [2:29] eat? How do I make that relate? Right? [2:32] So we can even do it even for this [2:34] channel right here. and I'm going to [2:35] show you. So, Vid IQ makes it super [2:37] easy. So, right here is a remix title. [2:40] So, after you click on the video that's [2:42] the outlier, you're going to hit remix [2:43] title. It's going to generate it in your [2:46] niche all different ideas that you can [2:48] do. And then you can also redefine it [2:50] and on your own you can change it as [2:52] well. So, if you look here's some of the [2:54] ones I came up with. This creator [2:55] refuses to upload until we optimize for [2:58] SEO every morning. These viewers refuse [3:01] to watch unless you create engaging [3:03] content daily. This YouTuber refuses to [3:06] post until we analyze trending videos [3:08] every morning. This channel refuses to [3:10] grow unless we focus on catchy titles [3:13] every day. So, as you can see, all these [3:15] titles pretty good. Now, I can generate [3:17] it and then go even deeper and create a [3:19] script and all of that. Or I can refresh [3:21] it and get some more ideas that's going [3:23] to come through. Maybe I want to [3:25] redefine it a little bit more. I can go [3:27] to my preferences and I can put exactly [3:30] what channel topics I want to hit. Now, [3:32] these outlier titles are great and I [3:33] spend a lot of time researching them and [3:36] actually I create a swipe file with 10 [3:38] of the best outlier titles that have [3:40] worked on our channel, plus a bunch of [3:41] our clients and even just people who've [3:43] downloaded the free swipe file. So, if [3:45] you guys want those 10 free titles, all [3:46] you got to do is comment hooks down [3:48] below and I'll send you it. Again, just [3:50] comment hooks and I'll send you the 10 [3:51] free titles that are going to be the [3:53] best outliers that you are going to use [3:55] for your channel. Now, these right here [3:58] is a perfect example of how again I can [4:01] take something that's not even in my [4:02] niche, okay? It's in a cat niche, but [4:04] then I can turn it into my own piece of [4:06] content. So, now it's an original piece. [4:08] We call this crossover niche hacking. [4:10] So, I'm literally taking a title from [4:12] another niche. I'm going to put it into [4:14] my niche using the same framework. So, [4:16] I'm still using the this. I'm going to [4:18] use the every morning. The structure of [4:20] it is the same. I just changed some of [4:22] the words inside of it. Right now, [4:24] again, this is an easy way to find [4:26] outliers. You can manually do it, but [4:28] Vid IQ makes it super easy to use. And [4:31] I'm even going to share with you how you [4:32] can find them on your own in Vid IQ. [4:35] Now, I will say I am an affiliate for [4:36] VidIQ. So, if you guys want to check it [4:38] out, the link is in the description. [4:40] You'll get me a cup of coffee. Love my [4:41] cold brew. And I know you'll love some [4:43] outlier titles that are super easy to [4:44] find as well. So, all you're going to do [4:46] is you're going to go into the dashboard [4:47] of Vid IQ. You're going to go to [4:49] discover. Then you're going to go to [4:50] outliers. Now, this is where the magic [4:53] happens. But you also have to be very [4:55] mindful of what you put in the filters [4:57] to find the right results that you're [4:58] looking for. So, we're just pick [5:00] something random. Let's just say you're [5:01] into knitting. Okay. Now, before I just [5:04] search this, if I search this, it's [5:06] going to be very broad. And it's also [5:08] going to share things from years ago, [5:10] right? So, like some are a little bit [5:11] recent, but then you're going to get [5:12] some that a year ago. Some might be [5:15] three years ago, three years ago, two [5:16] years ago, right? All over the place. [5:18] Some of them aren't even outliers. Like [5:20] this one right here. 753,000 [5:22] subscribers. The video only got 63,000 [5:25] views. Not an outlier because we want [5:26] more views than subscribers. So, this is [5:29] what I'm going to do. I'm going to go to [5:30] the filter up top. I'm going to change [5:32] the views to my minimum as 10,000. [5:36] Subscriber range, we're going to take [5:37] that to 50. 50 and under I still [5:40] consider a small channel. Even under [5:42] 100K, but we'll go 50. Now, this is [5:44] where it's important, right? I put three [5:46] minutes for the video length. We don't [5:47] want it to be a short. And the most [5:49] important is we want it relevant and [5:51] recent. So, the last 6 months is is like [5:54] the sweet spot. If you can do even [5:56] earlier than that, that's great, but [5:58] last six months because it's proven to [5:59] work in the last 6 months with this [6:01] algorithm. If you do something from a [6:02] year or two years ago, it could have [6:04] took a lot of time to get all those [6:05] views. We know this happened recently [6:08] and on a small channel which gives us [6:09] the best opportunity to get the similar [6:11] type of push on YouTube. So then all I [6:13] hit is apply. I can keep it as best [6:16] match. I can also go highest views, [6:17] highest outlier score, all of that. But [6:19] right here, you're going to start [6:20] getting ideas like this one right here. [6:22] 43,000 subscribers, 202,000 [6:26] views 24 days ago. Let's find something [6:28] else. And I found one right here. 16,000 [6:31] subscribers. So very low. [6:34] 156,000 views 21 days ago. So, I'm going [6:36] to click on this. Why is everyone [6:38] arguing about this knitting show? Okay. [6:41] Okay. Again, really good title. Worked [6:44] for the niche. Blew up. How do I apply [6:46] that to mine? Remix title. Why is [6:49] everyone ignoring your YouTube videos? [6:52] Why is everyone clicking on this SEO [6:54] trick? Why is everyone talking about [6:56] these video tips? Why is everyone [6:58] struggling to create engaging content? [7:00] Why is everyone using these YouTube [7:02] hacks? Right? So, right there just gave [7:04] me a bunch of title ideas. Now, Vid IQ [7:07] has their own ranking systems um of like [7:09] what they think is the best chance of [7:11] virality. And so, this one got a score [7:13] of 93 would probably be your highest [7:14] one. But again, I can refresh. I can try [7:17] to get a couple more ideas. Um I still [7:19] like this one the best. So, again, I [7:22] could go even deeper. Hit generate. And [7:23] then when I go into generate, this is [7:25] where it's going to give me my title. [7:27] Again, I can redefine it, too. If I [7:29] redefine it, I can make it longer. Add [7:30] excitement. Change my tone. All of this, [7:33] right? Let's just add excitement just so [7:34] you can kind of see how it works. So, [7:36] I'm click this. Why is everyone [7:38] overlooking your YouTube videos? Why are [7:40] your videos being or why are your [7:42] YouTube videos being ignored? Why are [7:44] people turning blind eye to your video? [7:46] Again, I can hit it again. Regenerate. [7:48] Maybe I want some more. Um, why are [7:50] YouTube videos being ignored? Why is no [7:52] one watching your YouTube videos? Right. [7:54] This one got a little bit higher. Maybe [7:56] I go with this one. Apply. It'll change [7:58] it. It gave me a description, gave me [8:01] tags. So, all this came from Vid IQ, but [8:03] it all goes back to the title we found [8:05] earlier, right? So, after doing my [8:07] research, we get 99x right here. 20 days [8:10] ago, 229 actually went up 229,000 views. [8:14] Again, the channel only has 6.5K [8:18] subscribers. Thousand subscribers. And [8:20] if you're still struggling with finding [8:21] out titles, I shot another video over [8:24] here of a title that got 399,000 views [8:27] in 30 days. Go check that video out over [8:29] here and I'll see you
