## Summary

## Transcript

I came across a video that makes
absolutely zero sense. 228,000 views on
a channel with only 6,000 subscribers.
And once I figured out why this
happened, everything changed. Now,
here's exactly how I found it. I was
inside of Vid IQ researching outlier
titles and not the typical top videos,
but the ones that are massively
overperforming for small channels. So,
after filtering it down and looking at
the results from the views versus
subscriber count, which is also known as
an outlier title, this video was doing
way above average and it jumped out
immediately to me. So, I broke it down
into three things. And the third is
something that not a lot of creators are
talking about in this space on how to
find these outliers, but also how to
rework them so that way they work for
your channel. Now, I'm going to pull up
the video so that way you can see
exactly what title this is, what made it
pop, and how we can reconstruct this to
make our own title as well, and also how
you can find your own outlier title. So,
the video I found, which has everything
to do with cats, it says, "This cat
refuses to eat until we play piano every
morning." Okay, so looking at that,
you're like, "Okay, why did this video
blow up?" And again, 6,000 subscribers
and 228,000 views in 20 days. So, the
first thing I look at is the structure
of it, right? So, there's three main
things I'm looking at in the structure
of this title. One is what question does
it answer? What curiosity does it
trigger? And also, what makes it stand
out in this niche? So, let's look at
this, right? So, this cat refuses to eat
until we play piano every night. So, the
first part of it, right? Starting with a
this statement. So this cat. Okay. So
you're putting a little bit of emphasis
on the cat portion obviously. So you
could do this again in any niche. You
can change it out. And I'm going to show
you how you're going to be able to do
that. But this cat refuses to eat. So
right there, bold statement from the
beginning. This cat refuses to eat. So
immediately you're asking yourself, why
is this cat refusing to eat? And then
when you have the solution to it until
we play piano every morning, someone's
going to be like, what do you mean? Like
you play piano and then now your cat
will eat. I got to see. Maybe that's a
trick I should try or maybe it's just
something that is really cool with your
cat, right? It builds intrigue, right?
So ultimately the viewer now wants to
click to find out the solution to this
or the answer or also to see if it is
true and it is something that again is
not clickbait. Now I know you're
wondering, but that's great. This is
about cats, but what does this do with
my niche? Maybe I'm in the fitness
niche. What is having a cat refusing to
eat? How do I make that relate? Right?
So we can even do it even for this
channel right here. and I'm going to
show you. So, Vid IQ makes it super
easy. So, right here is a remix title.
So, after you click on the video that's
the outlier, you're going to hit remix
title. It's going to generate it in your
niche all different ideas that you can
do. And then you can also redefine it
and on your own you can change it as
well. So, if you look here's some of the
ones I came up with. This creator
refuses to upload until we optimize for
SEO every morning. These viewers refuse
to watch unless you create engaging
content daily. This YouTuber refuses to
post until we analyze trending videos
every morning. This channel refuses to
grow unless we focus on catchy titles
every day. So, as you can see, all these
titles pretty good. Now, I can generate
it and then go even deeper and create a
script and all of that. Or I can refresh
it and get some more ideas that's going
to come through. Maybe I want to
redefine it a little bit more. I can go
to my preferences and I can put exactly
what channel topics I want to hit. Now,
these outlier titles are great and I
spend a lot of time researching them and
actually I create a swipe file with 10
of the best outlier titles that have
worked on our channel, plus a bunch of
our clients and even just people who've
downloaded the free swipe file. So, if
you guys want those 10 free titles, all
you got to do is comment hooks down
below and I'll send you it. Again, just
comment hooks and I'll send you the 10
free titles that are going to be the
best outliers that you are going to use
for your channel. Now, these right here
is a perfect example of how again I can
take something that's not even in my
niche, okay? It's in a cat niche, but
then I can turn it into my own piece of
content. So, now it's an original piece.
We call this crossover niche hacking.
So, I'm literally taking a title from
another niche. I'm going to put it into
my niche using the same framework. So,
I'm still using the this. I'm going to
use the every morning. The structure of
it is the same. I just changed some of
the words inside of it. Right now,
again, this is an easy way to find
outliers. You can manually do it, but
Vid IQ makes it super easy to use. And
I'm even going to share with you how you
can find them on your own in Vid IQ.
Now, I will say I am an affiliate for
VidIQ. So, if you guys want to check it
out, the link is in the description.
You'll get me a cup of coffee. Love my
cold brew. And I know you'll love some
outlier titles that are super easy to
find as well. So, all you're going to do
is you're going to go into the dashboard
of Vid IQ. You're going to go to
discover. Then you're going to go to
outliers. Now, this is where the magic
happens. But you also have to be very
mindful of what you put in the filters
to find the right results that you're
looking for. So, we're just pick
something random. Let's just say you're
into knitting. Okay. Now, before I just
search this, if I search this, it's
going to be very broad. And it's also
going to share things from years ago,
right? So, like some are a little bit
recent, but then you're going to get
some that a year ago. Some might be
three years ago, three years ago, two
years ago, right? All over the place.
Some of them aren't even outliers. Like
this one right here. 753,000
subscribers. The video only got 63,000
views. Not an outlier because we want
more views than subscribers. So, this is
what I'm going to do. I'm going to go to
the filter up top. I'm going to change
the views to my minimum as 10,000.
Subscriber range, we're going to take
that to 50. 50 and under I still
consider a small channel. Even under
100K, but we'll go 50. Now, this is
where it's important, right? I put three
minutes for the video length. We don't
want it to be a short. And the most
important is we want it relevant and
recent. So, the last 6 months is is like
the sweet spot. If you can do even
earlier than that, that's great, but
last six months because it's proven to
work in the last 6 months with this
algorithm. If you do something from a
year or two years ago, it could have
took a lot of time to get all those
views. We know this happened recently
and on a small channel which gives us
the best opportunity to get the similar
type of push on YouTube. So then all I
hit is apply. I can keep it as best
match. I can also go highest views,
highest outlier score, all of that. But
right here, you're going to start
getting ideas like this one right here.
43,000 subscribers, 202,000
views 24 days ago. Let's find something
else. And I found one right here. 16,000
subscribers. So very low.
156,000 views 21 days ago. So, I'm going
to click on this. Why is everyone
arguing about this knitting show? Okay.
Okay. Again, really good title. Worked
for the niche. Blew up. How do I apply
that to mine? Remix title. Why is
everyone ignoring your YouTube videos?
Why is everyone clicking on this SEO
trick? Why is everyone talking about
these video tips? Why is everyone
struggling to create engaging content?
Why is everyone using these YouTube
hacks? Right? So, right there just gave
me a bunch of title ideas. Now, Vid IQ
has their own ranking systems um of like
what they think is the best chance of
virality. And so, this one got a score
of 93 would probably be your highest
one. But again, I can refresh. I can try
to get a couple more ideas. Um I still
like this one the best. So, again, I
could go even deeper. Hit generate. And
then when I go into generate, this is
where it's going to give me my title.
Again, I can redefine it, too. If I
redefine it, I can make it longer. Add
excitement. Change my tone. All of this,
right? Let's just add excitement just so
you can kind of see how it works. So,
I'm click this. Why is everyone
overlooking your YouTube videos? Why are
your videos being or why are your
YouTube videos being ignored? Why are
people turning blind eye to your video?
Again, I can hit it again. Regenerate.
Maybe I want some more. Um, why are
YouTube videos being ignored? Why is no
one watching your YouTube videos? Right.
This one got a little bit higher. Maybe
I go with this one. Apply. It'll change
it. It gave me a description, gave me
tags. So, all this came from Vid IQ, but
it all goes back to the title we found
earlier, right? So, after doing my
research, we get 99x right here. 20 days
ago, 229 actually went up 229,000 views.
Again, the channel only has 6.5K
subscribers. Thousand subscribers. And
if you're still struggling with finding
out titles, I shot another video over
here of a title that got 399,000 views
in 30 days. Go check that video out over
here and I'll see you
