[0:06] Welcome to the Emochi 2D crash course. [0:08] If you cannot use Live2D or you heard [0:10] whispers about an alternative out there [0:12] and want to learn more, then this course [0:14] is for you. [0:15] The focus of this course will be on how [0:16] to use the program rather than how to [0:18] make a model from start to finish. [0:21] The goal is to create an understanding [0:23] of the basics, which will then allow you [0:24] to follow along with your favorite [0:26] Live2D tutorials and make your Vtubing [0:28] dreams come true. [0:30] So, what exactly is Emochi 2D? [0:34] Well, it's open-source software that [0:36] consists of two programs. [0:39] First is Emochi Creator, which allows [0:41] you to not only rig your model, [0:43] but also to create animations. [0:46] Second is Emochi Session, which allows [0:49] you to use tracking software to bring [0:50] your model to life and jump straight [0:52] into Vtubing. [0:56] You can download both programs either [0:58] through the official website or through [0:59] itch.io. [1:01] For Emochi Creator, you have two [1:03] options. You can get the evaluation [1:05] version, which is free with no time [1:07] limit, or the paid version, which is [1:09] currently set to a one-time fee of $40. [1:12] The only difference between the two is [1:15] the evaluation version has a 10-second [1:17] screen on startup encouraging you to [1:19] support the project. No other [1:21] limitations, no restrictions. [1:25] Emochi Session, on the other hand, is [1:27] completely free. [1:29] For this course, I'll be using the free [1:31] evaluation version of Emochi Creator. [1:35] Now, while all of this sounds like a [1:37] dream come true, there are two things I [1:40] need you to know before moving forward. [1:42] First and foremost, Emochi 2D is a work [1:45] in progress, but is functional for [1:47] Vtubing. Second, Emochi 2D is not [1:50] compatible with Live2D as they use [1:52] different file formats. [1:56] Okay, let's end it here. [1:58] Please download the programs and I will [2:00] see you in the next video.
